What Twilight are you talking about then? A Twilight that's not part of MLP.

I believe Cloudwilk is referring to the infamous vampire romance saga, Twilight. Trust me when I say that you probably don't want to know anything more than that about the book series.
After reading part of that mess of a backstory, I definitely see the Twilight-like qualities! lol

Oh, the book series! lol What was I thinking about? I get so confused when talking about Twilight on this forum I'd think it meant the alicorn. Now I know. The qualities would fit it alright!

I have no idea when I became a brony. All I remember is that it was after Season 1 had already ended.

It wasn't exactly something I wrote down...

X3

Probably around later 2011 or early 2012, perhaps? I've became a brony just because of how big it has become and I decided to try the show out and now I'm not just a brony, but a general MLP fan as well!!!! 0:)

I'm sure they are keeping it up with season 5. Did you see the story boards? I like Dr.Wolf's reviews on it... really interesting formula they could be going with.

A ton of 90's cartoons were like that.. something happens but it means nothing. I mean, a lot of the shows were revolutionary... in a way... but I always wished for a show with continuation. Never watched Avatar, either, but I do appreciate the way its set up.

Yeah, I also appreciate Avatar as well with it's continuation of a new series about Korra. Sure, cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life which ran from 1993-1996 was revolutionary because most of the crew went on to work for SpongeBob which is still on the air today. Ren and Stimpy is another revolutionary cartoon as well. And both of them aired on Nick in the 90s. I do enjoy some 90s cartoons but not much. And what story boards are you talking about and who is Dr Wolf anyway?

Like I said, I like the handicap and how they treat them as if they were no different.. truly. I also like the gender-fairness throughout the show... a lot of shows make these stereotypical female characters that are generally pretty flat. That's coming from a male fan as well... Can't say I'm particularly interested in the more girlish side of the show but I'm not against it, either, as long as its has a theme that's built well.

So you like MLP in general too and a male? That's awesome. Hopefully we can be fans of MLP after G4 as well. I know one buddy on here that is a female and was a fan for a very long time. Yeah, it's nice they treat the handicap like they're no different then us because they aren't. Just having some mental/physical setbacks. That all! I don't see anything about girlish cartoon characters being flat. I do like the girly side of MLP because I like the feeling of being a little girl, something I never was able to experience due to being a boy all my life. I think a theme that is built well does make a cartoon more watchable too.

G1 actually is pretty similar in that it wasn't afraid of adventure. The problem is the characterization is all over the place and I don't care for Megan... at all. XD
I'm a huge cartoon fan.... In fact, I have a goal of watching every animated movie made in existence.
I feel like G2 gets too much hate. I mean, it was a decent, short show. It certainly had a different atmosphere but for a girls show of that time, it was okay.

G2 unfortunately didn't have a television show. I wish It did though. I'm thinking that your talking about MLP Tales. Is that true? Because it was a different atmosphere when compared to MLP n Friends (The one Megan was in) and Friendship is Magic (The Brony Favorite). Good Luck with watching every animated movie in existence! There probably are like 10,000 animated movies in the world now and many wouldn't even have your interest. Keep in mind that new cartoons are coming out all the time and many now are in 3D which I know your not crazy about. Yeah, G2 does receive a lot of hate but can you help it. The toys SUCKED! They are very tiny and the manes were cheaply made and the tails unbrushable. I like the other generations better. I'm sorry. BTW, I don't mind Megan at all. Humans should be in pony cartoons more if you ask me. I mean if I could go to the other side of the rainbow I'd love to hang out with ponies. I LOVE PONIES AND THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I'm a 17 year old male BTW.

If magic was intelligence then I would definitely think about it more. I do have a heavy value on logic. A lot of how I think is dependent on intellect, actually. I mean that in a philosophical way as well.

Makes a lot of sense if you thought it out. To Twilight Sparkle, she is very smart when it comes to magic so you could be smart of things like history or math. That's why I think that magic would be if it was intelligence.

Stop-motion is awesome, but its incredibly rare at this point (When it comes to movies and shows, anyway... there's still a fair sized fanbase in the youtube lego community.) Whenever films even want something to look stop-motion-ish, they just use 3D. Now with certain technologies, they can get 3D to look 2D-ish as well. I mean, movie-wise, a very small amount of movies are actually made in 2D... in the west anyways.

I could see that with Filly Funtasia. I mean, Care Bears is in 3D now.

Filly Funtasia? Don't you mean MLP because Filly is actually already in 3D! As with Stop-Motion, yes it is awesome and so many classics were created from it. Like Rankin-Bass and their famous Christmas specials which still air to this day. Heck, Rudolph first aired on NBC back in 1964 and that was actually created in Japan! It still is loved after almost 50 years later!!! It's hard to beat the originals you know. SpongeBob is getting a new movie BTW in 2015, using similar tactics as the first film and that will be in 2D so you can be sure that 2D is somewhat still used.

lol Never growing up.
I mean, E for everyone means everyone, not just 8 and under.

Of course, E rated games are intended for all audiences. I'm guessing being a kid isn't so bad. Being an adult isn't bad either. Let's just say that you can be an adult doing adult things while being young at heart.

O.C. isn't bound by anything except your imagination (and the boundaries of the world you're creating him/her in). It doesn't need/have to be similar to you in any shape or form.
Sonas on the other hand (ponysona, fursone, persona etc.) are representation of you in a world. Them being 1:1 with your personality, likes/dislikes and etc.

I see what your saying. My OC is a alicorn that does things I could never do. Like everything about MLP, it's all about imagination and what you make it to be. My OC however does have my personality. I hope that answers your response.

Raiden is annoying.  >:O He works for uhh.. whoever he works for to get money for his family. But he also gets a super expensive cutting-edge suit of armor and katana. Go figure...
Also, worst pony EVER

Her cutiemark is the symbol of a band. A real world band. That she's not a part of.
She's a vampony.
Her father is a character from a videogame.
She's an element of harmony? Come on!
Also a time traveler.

Please, if you are making an OC, do NOT make one like this.

I feel a sense of Twilight with this one... and I'm not talking about an alicorn.

What Twilight are you talking about then? A Twilight that's not part of MLP.

Where did you found this beatiful 3D *not SFM* pony model? I need to know! DD:

Quote from: 2Snacks TumblrThree months ago I finished those mlp rigs, and I tried to animate them. The result was bad...

I realized that my models were horrible. So I decided to redo everything from scratch.

This time I embraced the cartoony style of the show and everything is looking much better. Here's my first animation test with the new rig:

You can also find the image re-uploaded to The Great Archive here.

So it is made by 2Snacks! :3 Woo! I hope to see it put to use in Two Best Sisters Play.

What's 2Snacks? Some user that creates SFM ponies? I'd like to know how he does it?

That OC doesn't even make any sense at all! An OC should have similar characteristics and personality as yourself. It's basically as if you were randomly just taken to Equestria and transformed into a cute pony.

You don't know what an OC means...do you?

Yes, it means Original Character. Oh, I see what your saying now. lol  Your saying that OC's are actually supposed to be different in ways, but similar to you in terms of personality and such. I get it now. Like your talents might be different as a pony then human. Kind of misunderstood that on my part.

It actually French. There's a lot of story, but if you start at the beginning, it's about four high school students finding an old supercomputer in some nearby ruins that contains a virtual world called Lyoko. There's a girl in there called Aeilita, and a living virus called X.A.N.A. X.A.N.A can mess with the real world by possessing people and electronics. The kids then use "virtualizers" to travel to Lyoko and fight X.A.N.A's monsters.

Sounds complicated to understand, but I get it. Every show for children these days though seems to be about teenagers in high school. It's kind of annoying if you ask me.

Code Lyoko is actually kind of old. It started in 2003ish. It may partially be because a lot of kids look forward to growing up because they keep thinking "I can't do this or that yet because I'm just a kid. I can't wait to be older, so I can drive a car and hang out at the mall with my friends and watch PG13 movies and play T for Teen video games!"

But not all cartoons that follow teens in high school are for kids, you know. For example, 6Teen was about six 16-year-olds, but it was for teenagers, not kids. In fact, when it used to show on Cartoon Network, they showed a warning before it started that stated that some things in it may not be appropriate for some children.

Oh, that interesting. I don't know why growing up is all that fun though. To me, being a kid is more fun. Even at 17, I don't have friends so hanging out at the mall or other places is not happening with me. I prefer just to play with toys (Pony toys are the best X3) and watch cartoons like MLP FIM. I'm kind of childish I know but I do know many things an adult would need to know to be independent. I don't drive or work yet though unfortunately. It's good to know some cartoons are aimed specifically to teens rather then to multiple audiences like South Park, The Simpsons, SpongeBob and MLP FIM.

Impressive! I wish I could animate, but I don't have the drawing skill to have many frames going together into one animation. Especially when it comes to ponies. :c

Very interesting animations there. Not into Sailor Moon, but defiantly a lot of great animators out there. I wish I was good at animation, but that's not my talent. ono

I never said I didn't like 3D... I can. I just like 2D as well.

I don't blame you. I just feel that 3D though would be kind of cool and different for MLP considering the other four generations have been in 2D form. Changes don't have to be bad you know. I'm just warning you that Hasbro might consider making a TV show similar to Filly Funtasia that has elements from G3 and G4 and animate it in CGI animation. I just want G5 to do well. Not another G2. BTW, why are you thinking that 2D animation will end up as stop motion? The fact it won't be used anymore, perhaps? Because stop motion is still used sometimes.

I was cooler with G2 more than a lot of others were and I respect G1... and I do feel at times G3 hatred is overblown.... but I wouldn't of been interested in any of them if not for G4. On there own, I would've just forgotten them at this point XP I like gender-neutral types of cartoons predominantly aimed for older kids (about 8-10 range.)
I do think MLP will continue far past Brony's are gone.

I respect that. G2's obviously not the greatest generation but Hasbro was trying. G1 was actually just as good as G4 is and the animated television series from 1986 and 1992 are decent in my book. I'm not much for cartoons anymore because I've lost general interest in them. I still like MLP cartoons though! X3 I was the same too with the other three generations of MLP. It was because of G4 that I've gotten into MLP in general and I think I'll even stay once the fandom is completely gone. G3 isn't terrible either. The specials to me are very cute. Not much conflict, but I've survived through them. The toys for G3 are certainly better, that's for sure.

... That's a good question XP Guess someone would have to feel particularly magical or something... and not in a unicorn way. *Shrugs*

Maybe perhaps magical in the ways of being intelligent. Because Twilight is definitely that. I do have an IQ of about 120 so hers would probably be the same too. Maybe I should have chosen Magic instead after all! X3

I think it's cool... I always appreciated how Avatar had a story to continuously follow and I feel MLP does it in a more subtle fashion which is really appealing in its own way.

Yea, I always got tired of some big thing happening in a cartoon then you'd never see it again. Ruined the humor of the situation for me at times.

I always hated when something big happens and you don't see it again. Never was into Avatar so wouldn't no much about it. All I know was that it aired on Nickelodeon nearly 9 years ago. Yeah, FIM is more fun to watch when something different occurs. I just hope they keep it up in Season 5 and seasons beyond that!
