Yeah, I was, but we got it sorted now. Also minor spoilers for the first mission...

Holy crud, who the heck were those Skulls guys?! Are they new?

Spoiler: show
Yes, they are very new, and they're pretty dang freaky too, they pop up a bit more too in the campaign too, best option is usually sneaking past them if possible, or get on your horse and get out of the mist immediately.

Okay, anyone else having problems with Metal Gear Solid V? Every time I beat the prologue, it starts "installing game data". But every time, it just gets stuck on "507 seconds remaining" as soon as it starts! The system doesn't crash though. I'm so confused, and I don't know if I should (or am allowed) to make a thread asking for help...

I'm gonna assume you are talking about the console version, because if you're talking about the PC one then that's one heck of an odd problem.

Chibalt stopped the moment he saw the two 'guards', frowning as he looked at them from down the hall, he could feel there was something wrong here, he approached regardless, pretending to not have noticed them until he got a bit closer. "Huh, you two are cold, would almost think you're changelings with that kind of attitude" He said just loud enough for them both to hear as he walked towards... and then past the door and them, continuing down the hall like nothing happened.
104
Chibalt quite gradually came closer to Maple's office, the changeling pausing for a moment as he could feel some odd emotions from roughly around Maple's office. He huffed and leaned against the closest wall as he considered what he could do for a moment to recover faster just in case something was off, it'd cost him though, after a brief moment to glance around and make sure no-one was watching he steeled himself and forced the energy he kept in stock out, making his entire body seem to catch on fire with his characteristic blue flames for a few moments before the flames went out, leaving him panting, but in much better condition now, one quick check that his quarterstaff was in the cloth band around his leg and he continued on to Maple's office, arriving there in a few minutes after that again.
105
Chibalt, at about the same time as Maple's talk about to occur, had recovered from his odd affliction enough to walk and move relatively normally, the disguised changeling shuffling in the direction of Maple's office with the simple intention of asking for a day off his duties to recover, unaware of what was happening there.

I've been using the same wallet since I was 15. I kinda neglect these things.
I've had the same wallet since I was 12 I think, probably a bit yonuger than that, why? Because it is a freaking fantastic wallet, that's why, and I can't find other wallets that are as good or better, so that is a fairly big part too.

Windows 10 launch version is complete crap, I'm getting BSODs left and right on this. Don't upgrade until they patch this hodgepodge.

Mut be something about your setup windows 10 really does not like, my own PC has had no such problems since changing to 10, not a single BSOD.

When the fire alarm breaks at work and goes off incessantly.  For TWO DAYS.  :I  Apparently we've called the fire department so they can come and inspect it, but since it "isn't an emergency" we've gotta wait for them to make time to come by to fix it.  Now I realize firefighters have a very important job, but seriously, the alarm might as well have been installed in the store radio at this point (and the bands of country music someone picked for this playlist irritates me enough as is!).  It's still going off even while the store is closed!  I'm starting to get worried about what will happen if an actual fire develops (and what might happen to the psyche of various employees working there more than I am).

Oof, I think the firefighters, or someone else capable, should REALLY take a look at the fire alarm then, a broken fire alarm is a pretty big freaking deal, and them just holding off on it for days is borderline illegal unless they are putting out fires literally every waking moment they have.

I just did some research on Vocaloid, and I thought to things:
1. Yamaha?! This was made by the flipping bike people?!
2. OMG, SOMETHING THAT CAN SYNTHESIZE SINGING?! NEED NOW, PLZ HAVE ENGLISH VOICES!!! SO MANY SONGS WRITTEN, NO ONE TO SING!
But in all seriousness, before, I thought "Vocaloid"  was a weird program where you could make anime girl characters like Miku. Oh, and I played that demo of the DS game: still not sold on the character. But dear lord, that was synthesized?! I could hardly tell! I now have quite a bit more respect for Miku, even if the music's not for me.

There's quite a lot more characters than just Miku too, and yeah it's pretty impressive, it's also hugely popular, as for the variety of songs, well, search on youtube and you'll find plenty, you might wanna look at other vocaloids for the less known songs though, like Kaito, Gakupo, Rin and Len, ect. Just be warned, you probably will stumble across ones that imply pretty dark circumstances or events, if they even bother just sticking to implying that is.

The fact that, when it comes to food bank donations, people donate the cheapest of the cheap. Food so cheap that it's terrible, disgusting quality that's practically inedible. If it's such bad quality that you wouldn't eat it, why are you shoving it into other people's hands?

"Beggars can't be choosers! 8D"
"Beggars" are people too, and people shouldn't have to hold back on gagging while they force disgusting barely-edible slop down their throats.

Have you ever tried to eat mac and cheese that's like soggy cardboard? Even after you add stuff to it, it's still impossible to eat, so what do you do then?

Please, if you're gonna donate food, make it something that's at least okay quality and is actually edible. :l

Sounds like donating a bag of dog or cat food would be better than that, and yes, pet food is actually edible, poses no harm to humans aside from probably being pretty bland and a bit dry. The food it sounds like people donate to food banks though, shouldn't they get health and safety to actually make sure the food is even edible in the first place? Not to mention make sure it won't kill someone because of horrendous quality.

Sorry but that site is a joke. It's mostly subbed not dubbed.

Oh, dubbed, I misunderstood you there, and that site is actually very useful for me, it doesn't watermark, the videos are in mostly good quality and generally it works really well, not sure why you think so badly of it though.

Things were going okay for me but now they're not.

I'm so freaking SICK AND TIRED of not being able to find anime I want to watch english dubbed in decent visual and audio quality and in full screen WITHOUT WATERMARKS.

EVEN STUFF THAT ISN'T THAT OLD I'M HAVING TROUBLE FINDING.

This is ridiculous. Seriously. It is. Obviously there's no such thing as a place to watch this stuff.

>:O

Yeah that can be really annoying, there are a few good sites though, there's one called Animefreak.tv that I won't be linking directly since it has a few animes not appropriate here, though the name should be more than enough for you to find it, it has a pretty good catalogue of many animes, no watermarks far as I've seen either.

Okay, I just made my first GIF ever, and I want to put it in my signature. Only thing is, it has quite a few flashing colours in it, so I don't know if I'm allowed in case someone has epilepsy or anything like that.
Am I allowed to do that?
Spoiler: Here's the GIF in question. • show

I'd assume it's allowed provided you put it in spoiler and add an epilepsy warning I guess, not quite sure if spoiler works in signatures or not though.

When an ice cream company seems to think that "mint chocolate ice cream" needs to be peppermint.
Minty ice cream is supposed to be sweet when it has chocolate in it, not full-on peppermint! Do these people not have any sense?! Uck!
*Eats it anyway because free ice cream* :o

It's like 'sour' candy, almost all of it is called sour, but they're pretty much all sweet and barely sour enough that you can feel it. I remember one fantastically sour candy though, I think they were called supersour feet, or that's th direct translation anyway, it puts lemons to shame in how sour it is, I've not seen a single person that can eat 2+ of those at the same time and not grimace, pity it's no longer being sold though, now it's just all sweet generic stuff that tastes exactly the same. On the bright side Norway has fantastic chocolate.

When a company makes a video game in a way where they rush to get it out on the shelves, and it turns out to be glitchy and quite possibly even have places where it can lag.

Some glitches are funny, but some can be problematic.
I've been playing Fable 3, and there are some spots in Brightwall where my game just randomly lags. :I I get so nervous that I instantly pause and save.
And, of course, there are glitches. I've read about some bad glitches, but luckily, so far, I've only encountered funny ones.

Like, when I went to go make pies after visiting the chicken races. It was the middle of the night in the game. I was in the middle of making another pie crust. When, suddenly...
Announcer: AND THE FEATHERED AVENGER TAKES THE GOLD!!!! O:
me: What the-- *Messes up the minigame*
character: *Knocks the entire pie onto the ground* :I

I've also seen my dog randomly float into the air while standing next to a wall.

And my friend started playing it after she saw me playing. She hit a glitch while making pies where the pie and rolling pin were floating in the air, and when her character put the top crust onto the pie, she actually put it under the pie. lol

It really gives me hope that Square Enix has been pushing back the releases of FF15 and KH3. They want those games to be the best that they can be. As much as the fandoms are eagerly awaiting those games, it's better to have us wait for a well-made game than to rush to finish it and give us a glitchy buggy game.

Should've seen Arkham Knight's release state then, it literally was unplayable on PC, it was impossible on any right short of military super-computer made for gaming to get it to run without dropping to 20-30 frames, on the lowest settings in the game, it also was graphically stunted compared to the console versions, such as rain effects, graphics, ect. All cut from the PC release, I am amazed the game even made it past QA when it was so blatantly horribly made.

Deep web?

The majority of the internet, it is a portion that you can't find through search engines, or is even indexed in the first place, it is not a nice place to say it lightly. The deep web is quite simply the illegal part of the internet that is inaccessible through normal means, I have a feeling Midnight wasn't thinking about that though.

You know that when playing a team vs. team match you have a 50/50 chance of either winning or losing. But why does it mean that you'll either get matched up with the best group of players in the whole game, or the worst team of players in the history of gaming?
It just doesn't make sense.

Some people are so astonishingly bad at games you have to wonder if they are using blindfolds or even if they have eyes at all, and I'm not meaning advanced, little tells in the game, I'm talking large text on the screen in bright colours, and also massiv pings on minimaps, that sort of thing.

I know, that's a problem I have with Splatoon: getting stuck with what I've called "janitor duty".
Normally there's a lot of inkable space right next to your spawn point. But then EVERY OTHER PLAYER just bee-lines STRAIGHT FORWARD, immidiately putting us at a disadvantage we might not be able to come back from. And who's stuck behind who has to ink ALL that turf? ME.

I've multiple times lost because people on my team just don't ink certain spots and all, and yeah I'm also usually on janitor duty, that feel when having your own base fully inked gives you the .1% needed to wind however, that is an amazing feeling.

I finally have an MMO gripe to complain about.
"enters new dungeon with random group. Has spent the last half an hour watching a video guide on the dungeon"
Me: Ok, so we have to take it carefull, and don't draw too much aggro-!
Some other guy who just happens to be the tank: hi guys speedrun plz
"Guy immidiatly runs through whole dungeon aggroing every single mob, rendering last half hour of guide watching useless"

Here's a tip, if you do not know the person, assume they have the intelligence of a 5 year old and are completely unwilling to learn anything new that contradicts anything they already know, basically assume they are the worst players you can get on your team, gets you pleasantly surprised when that's not the case, when it is though, which is quite often actually, particularly in any kind of co-op game, you're still gonna be frustrated sadly.

It's cheaper to drive items to where they're being delivered than it is to fly them there. Flying is expensive.

Post Merge

I'm watching advertisement videos on GaiaOnline to get free Gaia Cash, and there are these two videos that insist that, in order to watch, I have to enable it to use my laptop's webcam to record my reaction. :l

No one wants to let you record their face, especially when they're gonna be watching your stupid video several times because it's worth 5 GC (which is the most an ad video will give you, and 5 GC is worth 5 cents) and they're trying to save up 499 GC!!! >:O Leave me alone!!!!!

And stupid Gaia keeps bringing up the same videos over and over and over again! Just STOP IT! Move on to a different video, so I can resume earning free GC!!!

All the other ways of getting free GC are either do a survey, sign up for a website, sign up for a free trial of something, download and install an app to your iOS, or start playing a certain game and reach some certain requirement like become level 5 or 10 or something.

Obviously, I don't want to do most of those. I did a survey earlier today that was worth 551 GC, and it gave me the preliminary questions to see if I'm qualified to do the actual survey, and I wasn't, so it was like "Click this button to receive your reward." So I clicked. And I didn't get the 551 GC. >:/ This isn't the first time I've tried the survey stuff, and it told me I'd get my reward, only to never actually give me a single bit of the reward. So, I'm through with trying the surveys.

This means I'm stuck watching the ad videos, if it'll actually bring up ones I can actually watch.
At least I only have to watch the first 30 seconds, and it grants me the GC.
At this point, I'd be perfectly fine with having to watch a bunch of ones that're only worth 1 GC (1 cent)! Just keep the stupid annoying webcam ones away from me, you naive jerks!!!

If the only requirement is for the webcam to be enabled, then can't you just do something like fold a piece of paper on your laptop so that it covers the webcam entirely? If the system's automated and only looks for the webcam actually being enabled then well, you shouldn't have much problem with this, heck, you could probably do it with a shirt, a sock, I dunno, anything that covers the webcam.
