This is basically the opposite of corrupt a wish. When you grant a wish, instead of adding a catch, you make it better!
Example:
Pony 1: I wish for a pony
Pony 2: It's your favorite pony!
I wish for root beer.

The thing is, I wanted an OC that was related to ice and cold. At first, I intended it to be a Unicorn, but then I realized how many Unicorn OC's have talents for some kind of magic. That narrowed my list down to Earth ponies and Pegasi. Earth ponies are usually not related to anything in the atmosphere or higher (space, weather, etc.) so my only option was a Pegasus. I gave him the snowflake making talent, but I decided that wasn't enough. I wanted him to have ice-based powers. So I brainstormed up the bio and stuck with that.

Snow woke up to all kinds of screaming and ranting. At first she thought it wad just the side effects of a dream she had. But it didn't stop. Eventually she went outside to see what was going on. It seemed like all of the pets in Ponyville were loose, and they were preparing for some kind of apocalypse, not that she believed in any of that horse manure. Anyways, she saw a chameleon climbing out of a mail slot. She walked over and said "hey, do you know what's going on?"
