Oh yeah... You'll definitely be needing (Tiny) Reviver Seeds... Maybe Oran Berries if you survive.

Anyway, more news:

Yeah that's true. every pokemon mystery dungeon game gets more and more harder so gotta be more strategic in what you do and buy enough supplies as you can.

I already finished mine, but it wasn't that easy for me too. I had to go back to the dungeon and farm items as i can and use pelipper island for my shopping needs.

Finally beat the game... The final arc is just crazy...

It's not that easy is it? I can tell by the difficulty and how many reviver seeds we need to burn.

Someone let me know if they find a good walkthrough for Super Mystery Dungeon.

After reading all of that... I'm going to NEED one.

:l

Well you're not gonna find one that easily, but gamefaqs. The game is pretty much hard and challenging difficulty as we said. The game is pretty much straight forward, but Like I said before you won't get the time to grind, farm items, and make money during story mode.

As of rikaria's moneymaking tips, Just sell fresh apples regardless of size. they sell more at their original price

As for my tip

As I mentioned before, If you're low on items, you can always go back to the beginning of the dungeon if they have midpoints to gather up some items. Just be careful with the reviver seeds otherwise you'll be spending them like crazy. If you don't have access to the shops, just use pelipper island for your shopping needs.

If you're concerned about grinding, don't worry about it. The exp share mechanic is the same as gates to infinity except for applying the moves.

Well at some points of the game, it will make you laugh and some will tend to get emotional.

I just keep my pokemon mystery dungeon games just in case if I want to play them again, but for R/B rescue teams, well I just restart from the beginning.

Just wondering, how much does PSMD cost on the E-shop? Just want to know so I can make a decent guess at the local price, that and when I have 128 GB of space on my N3DS, which is possible mind you, it's just way more convenient to download.

Well The physical copies include the tax while the digital copies doesn't include tax. The digital copy may take up room on your SD card depending on its size and how much GBs it has.

That's... not what I wanted to hear.

So... basically... it's another ridiculous hard game that's harder then it should be?

:l

Yeah It's a lot harder than the previous games except Explorer of sky if you have Time/Darkness. Another thing that I know and as I mentioned before is that you don't have the time to grind as the story progress. The game will test your strategy, the use of items, and scavenging so if you're at the point where you can't shop in multiple towns, then you have to use pelipper's island to stock up your items in a situation like this.

There are no training facilities like in gates to infinity and your moves will start out weak so refer to the moves stats if you're curious.

How are you all enjoying Super Mystery Dungeons?  I have been considering getting it but it's expensive (for me), so I have to find out if it's worth it first.  I have one of the older ones, how different is the new game? Thanks!
^-^

Well I had a frustration difficulties with my items and encountering pokemon that barrage-type moves such as fury swipes.

Here's what I know so far

You can hardly make money in the game, but with rikaria's moneymakng tips, you should be fine

Items are hard to stock-up for story mode so what I said about farming in some dungeons that have midpoints can work for farming. You can also use the pelipper's island for your shopping needs.

Difficulty has increased as you progress so be more strategic on what you do and make use of your items

Friend Rescues are back by password now, but the new features comes with QR codes, streetpass, and such.

All of gates to infinity mechanics apply

There are no ribbons, scarves, and bands for now.

The Belly stat is back so you're gonna have to make use of your food this time.

The personality quiz may be back, but If you don't like the starter and partner pokemon that's randomly chosen, you can choose another pokemon of your choice.
168
Well some dungeons have a midpoints right? if you reach that point midpoint of the dungeon, you can go back without losing your money and items.
169
I'm starting to think that this game is testing our strategy and not only that, but also scavenging and making use of the items. I may have found a way to farm items during story mode though, but it's quite complicated.
170
Well It's tough as the game progresses as usual, but it's not giving us time to grind and make money like the previous games. We just gotta be more strategic on what we do. Reviver seeds are becoming a pain to buy now and survival is pretty much hard as I know.

I do like the music in the game. They seem catchy, but there's 1 music in the game that i can't get off my head.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh... The difficulty scaling on this game is horrible... Sure, they give lots of hints and tips as usual, but this is beyond beginner-friendly...

Even a veteran player like me who's played all the Mystery Dungeon games ever since Red/Blue Rescue team is having a hard time with a non-story-ish part of the game...

Tell me about it. There's not much to make money anyway and things have gotten a lot tougher than the previous games. I spent most of my money on reviver seeds since the game is a lot tougher. Gotta have life insurance though.

Going alone in the dungeon isn't my day. Last time, all of my teammates are dead and I was the last man standing.

I'm literally about to buy the game! c:

Well, I tried the game for a bit. Got Torchic as my Pokemon and partner from the quiz... So I said nope and went with Pikachu for me and Fennekin as my partner. lol

I got a different pokemon as you do from the quiz although yeah i chose the same pokemon as a starter and partner as you.

Well considering it doesn't come out for Europe till next year... and there are some who are probably gonna wait till/get it on Black Friday or Christmas.

well for NA (or US), yeah, but the downside part of black friday or christmas is that they'll sell out fast. the game has already been released, but hopefully if we can get some sales record(s) on how many of these games have sold out fast like the pokemon main series games.
173
so probably if the limited offer for pokemon super mystery dungeon 3DS theme ends, they'll put it on 3DS theme shop at a price (if there's a possibility) later on.

I dunno if anyone else here has pokemon super mystery dungeon yet besides us 2.
174
There's 1 question i need to clarify about the pokemon super mystery dungeon theme is that

according to what serebii said about the theme

QuoteIn addition to this, if you purchased the game off of the Nintendo 3DS eShop, you will get a code to get you the special Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon theme if you purchase the game before December 6th 2015. If you go for a retail version, you'll find the code for this on the reverse side of the game's cover sleeve. The theme has to be redeemed by October 31st 2016

isn't (or does) this theme's offer end at this date for both digital and retail copies of the game and then later on, the 3DS theme shop will have this at a price?
175
Well there may be dungeon restrictions so if you think that you can't do a friend rescue that has dungeon restrictions, you have to notify in advance so that way we can find some other person or someone pro enough who can do it.

I'm glad the friend rescue passwords are back. I wasn't too sure if friend rescue by wi-fi also works too.
176
Well It's a good thing I pre-ordered the game so probably I'll have to pick it up at the opening time or after the shipment arrives. Usually gamestop receives those games at around noon or so.
177
We'll just have to wait and see what will happen on this broadcast. I know that most players are concerned about the smash ballot and see who's coming in. All I did was voted for waddle dee in the smash ballot although I'm pretty sure most people in japan have voted for waddle dee.
178
The only news that most of the SSB players are concerned about is the smash ballot. Rumors on other characters that are trying to get in are still being confirmed.

Well Seeing the 1st gen pokemon games going to the VC will bring back memories on how we played the games. The Blue version was the only game that I have the most memories with. Back in my school Days like about when I was 6th grade or so, I kept asking for information on how to get mew, but no one knew how to get mew till the new information on how to get mew was revealed.

Although Pokemon Stadium 1 was my 1st pokemon game. I didn't start out with any of the main series of the game till R/S/E/FR/LG, Colosseum, and XD: Gale of Darkness.

Looking back at my memories on R/B/Y, well Articuno was my only highest level pokemon. As for the stats, well I don't know what special stat was and how the moves other than support are affected by the stat, but my guess it would be both sp. atk and defense.

Later on, they'll have to release G/S/C to the VC as well.

you're better off having the character and stages bundle if you don't have all other DLCs otherwise you're just making the game and matches less fun for yourself with just 1 DLC character like cloud strife. I always get the characters & stages DLCs to make the game more fun, but the mii costumes doesn't interest me.

The stages that I had fun playing in with the N64 stages, but I don't put them in omega. It just makes the match more fun and feel more old school playing them however some characters have the advantage on those N64 stages also I don't put Super Mario Maker in omega as well. Usually the balance of the stage may vary as I play the stage.

As of DLC characters, Well I always like to play with these DLC characters, but if they're new to me, well i'll Never know how to handle them and defeat them if they're my opponents.

It's always a good idea to have DLC characters and stages otherwise if you're playing the game and having a match against your friends locally then they'll be asking why didn't you get the DLCs and then you'll be responding with the same response which is that you have no money for the DLCs and you'll never know how you're gonna handle and defeat them in terms of how many people are good with these DLC characters.
