No reaction seemed to come from Twilight's library, but the fire spread much more quickly. All the leaves had already burned off and only the massive hollow treetrunk was left, quickly withering away in the hot fire. It would appear Twilight was out of the house, maybe in Canterlot.

"I would assume he is my flesh counterpart. Strong, quick-witted and protective. I'll definitely keep an eye on this particular one." The captain said, narrowing his eyes as he stared at the flesh-pony captain. But then the captain disappeared, and the light-pony was caught off-guard. His reflexes equaled light speed, but he couldn't follow this pony's movements. "What blasphemy is this?" He asked as he got roundhouse kicked in the face. Sadly for the flesh-pony captain, his leg went right through the light-pony's face who now looked at the flesh-pony in front of him.

In the library, a purple-looking, almost choking little dragon came running out of the library. Clearly, he was in need of air. The fire didn't seem to have bothere Spike in his sleep, but the sudden lack of air surely did.

"The building caught on fire, yah featherbrain! Can't you see?!" An annoyed voice came from the crowd. All the customers were very angry with their peace being disrupted and would probably be very grumpy. "And what does the government do?" "This is outrageous!" "And who is responsible for this?" Panicked ponies kept shouting through each other so much that mere talking became near to inaudible. It was a mess, but at least the Pegasi had managed to extinguish most of the fire. With captain zenryo's help, it quickly died down again and the damage was minimized.

A high-pitched excited-as-always voice came out from the other tumult the large group of ponies were causing. "MY ROOM!" It was clear this was Pinkie's voice. "Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, yes! This means I get to sleep with my pony friends 'til my room is fixed! Woohoo!" She yelled, throwing confetti up in the air as she once again found a positive thing about this mess.

"Oh, but we're just getting started. Let's try something more.. flammable." He said, overconfident and shot two more beams into Ponyville. This time, aimed at the large tree-like library that was very unique to Ponyville. The leaves caught on fire more quickly than the candy-roof of Sugarcube Corner and so did the rest of the building.
163
The fire spread and had burned away a large portion of the roof by the time the captain reached Sugarcube Corner. Customers, as well as the Cakes, were running outside in panic, trying to get away from the fire. They regrouped outside, staring at the brilliant blazing flame that began to eat away at the building they were just in. The cakes were in tears, but some of the Pegasus ponies began to gather clouds and drop rain on top of the burning building.

"For the Great Understanding." The captain responded to the "slap in the face" and a smile took place where Ara's hoof had been just moments prior. "If not us now, something else later. Why waste time?"
164
The captain was growing impatient. He knew about a weakness of their enemy, which was enough for the straightforward and agressive pony. No longer caring about the other superiors, the captain's eyes lit up, as bright as the sun and two magnificent rays shot out of them, into Ponyville. The soldiers just watched as their captain made the first move.

The two rays touched the roof of Sugarcube Corner which began to heat up immensely fast. Less than a second after the captain's light touched the roof, smoke could be seen coming from the delicious-looking building and naught but a second later, the building caught ablaze. A neat little, in comparison to the entire building, flame sat atop the roof of Sugarcube Corner, growing quickly in size, spreading towards the walls, eating up the outsides of the building and turning them to coal.

"For the Great Understanding!" The troops repeated after Razz. Their bodies grew brighter and their faces filled with glee. It was clear that their morale raised significantly by the daily verse.
166
The captain's large head turned in a blink, his eyes opened wide in surprise at Ara's words. "You mean to tell me the Dark is a daily occurence in this place?" He said surprised, and slightly worried, then shook his head and sighed. "There's always a catch. Fine. I shall gather information about these fleshlings. Knowing your enemy is always an advantage. I can tell excessive light is harmful to them, so we have that advantage on them. Their bodies are solid, too, meaning they aren't as fast as us." The captain burst into laughter as he recited this information. "That means no running, fleshlings. You're ours."

A smirk formed on the captain's face as many battle tactics and sceneries played in his head. His bloodlust was rising again, but his face turned neutral again as he turned to face his troops. "Stand at ease." He bellowed over his troops and with one synchronized movement, the light foot soldiers stomped their saluting leg on the ground. "Sir, yes sir!"
167
"All the better to conquer them." Dareka-ceio said in response to Razz, then laughed at the thought of easy victory. The battle-pony in him awakened and rejoiced, but was slightly annoyed at an easy victory, too. There was no challenge here and he didn't like it. He worked hard all his life just to gain the position he had now, the captain wasn't even used to doing nothing. More so, even, he disliked it.

The captain's smile only broadened at Ara's words, she too agreed on war rather than diplomacy, out of fear of the ponies' reaction. "Of course, my troops will go in first. We'll keep you safe from any harm and resistance these fleshlings might create. I don't expect much trouble, so you won't have to worry that much." He told the other two leaders. His eyes flashed bright for a moment as he looked at Ponyville. A spark ignited within him, the spark of rage and battle. The captain was ready to fight.

But even the great captain could not decide on his own, and he had to respect to other leaders of the Syntherians. Turning his massive body towards the tablet, the captain shot his right front leg up to his head and saluted the tablet. Only an instant later, the twenty foot soldiers followed their captain's motion and in unison they spoke. "For the Great Understanding!"
168
The largest of the bunch, an Earth pony in appearance, stepped forth, leaving behind scorched hoofprints in the ground as the grass underneath his light hooves burned away by the heat he was giving off. Behind him stood several light ponies, neatly lined up, not moving an inch. All of them looked the same and were half a head smaller than the one stepping forward. The leader's head turned left and right and left and right again, taking in all the new information and things around him.

A moment later, he turned back to two of his companions, both standing before the groups of light ponies. The two light ponies stood out compared to the many other light ponies "Ara'ja-meya, Razz Oricalcum, what are your thoughts on these solid ones?" He asked, his voice was loud and deep, as expected from the captain.

A thump behind him felt like a stab in the stomach for Majem. The red pony behind him had fallen, but all Majem could do was look back at the pony on the ground, still running. His legs were locked in the running motion. "No, go back. No, they'll catch me too. Go back and save him!" He thought to himself, contemplating on whether or not to go back. The Fear told him to run away as fast as possible, but his moral rules told him to help.

After a short discussion, he sighed, then kept running. But not before tossing something Farsight's way. A clinking noise approached him as the object bounced his way, and once it was close enough, he could make out it was the flashlight Majem had used before. The blue unicorn was still running, eyes locked on the cottage, he hadn't even seen The Rake.
173
Majem kept running, eyes locked on the light, refusing to look at the creatures chasing them. There was more than one behind the trio, and another chasing two more ponies also seeking refuge in the cottage. There was nothing they could do at this point but run.

"Does it matter what they are? Certainly not friendly, that's what! Just keep running!" He answered Wavelength. He was too scared to do anything, a fear welled up inside him, such an irrational fear. Where did it come from? It wasn't just the creatures chasing them, it was more.
174
Majem turned to look at the loot the party had forgotten about. "Well, I do have this leather helmet and quite frankly, I'm not supposed to get hit at all. I'll take some some extra armour, if there's any left. The bits will be evenly distrubited at the end, sounds just fair, no?"
