Devoid of protection capable enough to block much of the incoming rock needles, forcing Majem to dodge them, slowing him in his climb up. "Oh, horsefeathers!" Majem thinks, jumping away from a needle that nearly hit him. He jumped up only one more step this time, slowed by having to avoid the incoming attack. "Ugh, I hope I can make up for this later." Majem thought to himself.
102
"I'm sorry I can't help you now, but I'm sure you'll be able to hold him off." Majem thought to himself as he jumped up towards the third step. He didn't feel exhaustion, but knew it would come all at once later on. He chuckled, knowing he'll be in a lot of pain, but continued on as fast as he could. Another jump and the fourth step was there. He looked up at his goal and let out a discontent sigh; still a long way to go.
103
"Thanks." Majem said and raised up again, feeling very relieved, but was immediately filled with terror as he saw what had happened around him while he half-blacked out for a while. A square mile of the Everfree had been leveled around them and the fiery depths had cracked open around them, letting out demonic cheers. It was insane, but at least now Majem knew what it meant by "climb our endless stairs".

"This has gone on far too long. It's time to end this!" Majem said determined. His horn shone brightly, in a redish-blue hue this time which quickly enveloped his entire body. Majem cast Adventurer Rush on himself, a magically amplified adrenaline rush, doubling his speed, strength (both physical and magical), increasing his senses, making the fur on his coat to stand up straight, his pupils to dilate and his ears to twitch. Majem will suffer from a crashdown later on, but he was determined to end the battle before that would happen.

Majem gripped his cloak tightly, it would help him climb up without attracting attention from the creatures on the steps of the "stairs". With increased strength, Majem could jump up the first step, instead of usually having to teleport to get up. He rushed past the Shadow and Eldritch creatures, towards the second step and jumped up. It was a long trip, but Majem hurried to make it up top.

"Urck. Ack. Ehh." Majem coughed and spat on the ground a few times before turning to his comrades. "Anypony know some healing spells? Those fungi sure did a trick on me, I don't feel too well." He said, then coughed a few more times. Feeling sick, Majem was face-down on the ground and therefore hadn't even noticed the change in scenery just yet. He had heard some more speeches, which filled him with enough hope to not bother with the ultimate evil for a while. Laziness? Probably.
105
"Ugh.. Gotta.. Gotta rest." Majem said weakly as he returned to the reality bubble, as far from the monsters as possible, then retrieved his equipment. Hiding under his cloak, Majem passes on this turn to attack.

Majem turned to his water form right before impact, thinking back on his idea to be rather silly instead. With Arty's buff, he bursts himself against the fungal mass like a water torpedo, then runs back towards the rest of the group, feeling rather sick. "Bad, bad idea." He says and shakes his head.
((Having a LAN-party. Might be slow on responses.))

As Majem falls towards the Fungal Mass, he grips his legendary dagger in one, and Arty's light dagger in the other hoof. With both daggers pointed at the fungi, Majem prepares for his attack, meaning the landing. "Well, too late to back down now." He thinks to himself.

Their opponent has split up into four creatures with seemingly no explicit weakness against light, making this form rather useless at the moment. Majem's light goes out as he cancelled his liquefy spell and returns to normal, even his usually liquid mane and tail return to their hairy white self. He quickly recovers his gear and also borrows Arty's light dagger. "Now I'll need Bleyd." He thinks to himself.

Properly equipped to take on physical beings once more, Majem looks around for Bleyd, who seemingly had moved somewhere else. "Bleyd! Can you carry me? You'll have to fly up high, then go down and throw me at the fungi, they seem like the softest landing." He tells Bleyd on the communicator. "Oh, and I think you should attack the Polygon. Looks like a light monster, your sword still has the pure darkness, right?"

[glow=blue,2,300]"Arty..."[/glow] Majem said surprised as he looked upon his friend. He's never seen him this determined, it was simply amazing to watch. But there was no time for admiring the other's abilities for the enemy was still present and dangerous as ever. [glow=blue,2,300]"Thanks pal."[/glow] He said with a quick nod to Arty.

The glob of shining water returned to Majem then fused back with him. It was a silly sight to see a bald pony, like a mannequin made of light. [glow=blue,2,300]"Alright, time for a counterattack!"[/glow] He shouted and took on an offensive stance, then attacked the enemy with his light whip attack.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Oh, dear Celestia! Laserbolt, help me freeze this up, then protect Chrysteel! Bleyd, evade!"[/glow] The light pony said as he got inbetween Arty and the incoming attack. A faint blue glow could be seen coming from the bright light the pony had and suddenly his mane and tail came off to form a weak watery shield. Majem hoped it would be enough to cool the magma down enough for him to properly catch the spikes, though given he was already using a lot of magic, it might not be enough. Or if Laserbolt could freeze his shining water shield, it might very well be enough protection for the two unicorns.

"Love and hope, love and hope, love and hope." Majem thought to himself as he looked upon the other party members. Everything seemed to be going much worse than he had anticipated. "Of course!" He shouted and threw off his equipment, save for the last of his glimmering dust, and with yet another bright flash, Majem's body turned to water, a symbol of Majem's love for water, his special talent, his very life. The water fused with the dust to create the pony made of light, a symbol of hope for two battles now.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Leave Arty for now, Laserbolt."[/glow] The shining pony said as it walked up to Arty and put a hoof on his shoulder. The light he emanated cancelled out the darkness that was being sent at him from Arty. [glow=blue,2,300]"Come on, friend. You're not going to go berserk on us now, when we need you the most? Arty Brightshadow, your friends need you. Please, snap out of it."[/glow]

Guess I should resign my sister's godhood seing how I don't post in here anymore? Unless that was already assumed to be the case. So...Yeah.

"I need you t-" Majem was cut off by Chrysteel chiming in. He looked over at Arty and finally noticed something was wrong with him, so he put his own idea down for now. "Water, of course. Swimming, the freedom I have to go anywhere. No restrictions in form, movement, direction, with a view that's just wonderful! The fishes swim, the bubbles rise and the stream flows." He paused for a moment, then continued. "Why? What are you going to do?"
115
Majem cringes and the fur on his coat begins to stand up straight, though not because of the smell itself. It was the sight of these strange and filthy fluids that made him feel sick. His first instinct was to clean the dirt, as comes from his job, but it was probably pointless to try.

The other ponies in his group began to think of their next step. He looked at the vines for a moment before adding in his idea. "The plants are still alive, so I doubt they burn well. I'd suggest cutting them, but considering the horrible smell, as well as the fact they create acid, not a good idea. I'll go with Bleyd and just move the plants for a moment." Majem's horn began to glow and the same glow surrounded some of the vines. "Any unicorn willing to help me?" He asked, turning his head to face the rest of the group.
116
The orbs didn't seem to be going for him, but rather for the rest of his party. With a quick glance around he could see Arty and Chrysteel at least somewhat better of than Bleyd behind his shield. Without hesistating, he jumped closer to Bleyd, horn ablaze in a blue hue, trying to catch or reflect the incoming orbs. "Bleyd, how many ponies can you carry? I think I have an idea."
117
"At least we dare to attack, when are you going to do anything... Oh, you already have? Didn't notice it." He said mockingly, with a wide grin on his face, but rather than contemplating his next attack, Majem looked around at the hall, inspecting it for anything that may be used against them, or if lucky, against it. If there were lights, he'd rather have as many diminished as possible, so he can stay hidden.
118
Majem took a defensive stance, dagger in hoof and ready to evade, as the Draconequus attacked the adventurers. "Bleyd, Reality Rune! Now!"
119
Majem wrapped a front leg around Price's neck as he responded. "Don't worry, bud. That's what friendship does to yah. Oh, it IS magic all right. So don't worry, they'll be fine. Besides, we may be proud of what we've accomplished so far, I'm sorry if it goes against your standards." He said and removed his leg from Price's neck, then turned to face the party. "Seems like everypony's ready, then? Well, let's waste no more time now. Onwards!" With that, he began walking forward into the echoing chamber, ready for whatever threat lay ahead.

Majem's knees locked up and he sank through his legs, falling flat on his face. The door, the voice, the power it held, it was all too great for him to handle all at once. That unimaginable colour, that black feeling of despair. Curled up in a ball on the ground, all Majem could do was resist the urge to vomit as the feeling of fear in every single cell of his body, a fear not even an entire hive of changelings seemed able to consume, weighed him down like having to carry four ponies on his back. It was simply impossible to get up.

Tears rolled down his face as he tried and tried to think of something pleasant, but every thought, every memory of something even remotely nice was pushed aside by horrible images and the only thing he could do was push those images aside to reveal more horrifying images. Everything seemed hopeless at this point. What would these ponies do if even Discord was but a partner to this gargantuan demon.

It was then that his hoof brushed over his tattered cloak, a cloak that made him capable of taking down even the most dangerous of foes, a cloak able to do things normally perceived as impossible, even in this world of magic. In a flash, Majem could see everything that had happened that lead up to this point. Every monster that fell by the hooves of his party, even if they seemed to be no match for it. The fear was pushed aside and Majem could think clear again. Discord? Discord has been defeated by mortals such as himself, now it's time to defeat to other monster.

Then the fear came rushing back into his mind, but Majem no longer cared. The only beacon of hope he needed was tightly wrapped around him, and standing close-by. Majem pushed himself up again, facing the fear-inducing door. He chuckled for a moment, then began to speak. "Discord, you say? Should we still be afraid of Discord? He's been defeated by mortal such as us, twice. Things have changed in the last three hundred million years. While you were withering away over time in this rotten dungeon, us ponykind have been living prosperous lives. We've grown strong while you've grown weak. You're nothing of what you might've once been, but we." He paused to chuckle again. "We've grown stronger and stronger. It is you who should fear us now, for we will be the ones to avenge those that had fallen here. We will be the ones to rid the world of you, for you do not belong here. No magic you can conjure will keep us from doing so, for my friends are right here beside me. And do you know what we've learned?" He paused once more to approach the door and stopped but an inch from touching it. "Friendship is Magic!" And so, Majem placed a hoof upon the door, pushing it forward, trying to open it.
