as far as getting through the stages for MMX just keep your buster charged and blast each enemy as they appear, that will ensure you don't take damage, if any, when you get energy tanks, the best way to fill them is to find a spawn point for weak enemies and collect the energy cells, also good for farming extra lives, this also works for the final boss fight too i think, reading each boss' patterns will help too, aside from that there really isn't much to beating the bosses besides hitting them with their weaknesses

I know to keep the buster charged and shoot as enemies show up, but it doesn't keep me from taking damage, especially if I keep missing. I'm just no good at platform gaming anyway because I either miss the jump or get hit in midair and fall into a pit of death/spikes. And I haven't even found any energy tanks. I'm not using walkthroughs for these games, just so you know.

How I'm socially awkward...and I have a bit of a socio-phobia (especially when meeting new people)

My i.r.l. "friends" don't understand. My "friends" never understand. 'Stop being so self-centred and open-up.'
Yeah. Like it's THAT EASY.
I try...I try to talk to others...it always ends-up becoming awkward...I can't think of anything to say.
I never speak much...nor have I made friends with many people around me...so it'll take a while.
A LONG while.
And it doesn't help when my "friends" keep ditching me either.

Sometimes I ask myself why I even bother trying.   

I know that feeling. The only time I don't feel socially awkward is around my closest friends. Everyone else seems to think I look sad or depressed all the time because I hardly talk to them.

for super metroid the each of the bosses have a specific pattern of which they attack, for Kraid shoot the flying claws for health, shoot his eyes to reveal his weak point then shoot it with a missile, repeat until he falls

for Phantoon shoot the ghost flames for health and ammo, depending on whether you use super missiles or not the battle could be shorter but more dangerous, or longer but safer, if you hit him with super missiles be prepared to dodge his next attack, use missiles to hit him when he becomes solid (his eye will open), repeat until he falls, to dodge his attack after hitting him with a super missile, change to morph ball and start at the left of the screen, alternate sides after each wave of ghost flames until it stops

for Draygon, for an easy win, shoot the turrets in the room before he appears, then let him grab you, use your grapple beam to latch onto a destroyed turret, he'll fall well before you do, for the more difficult battle target his belly with super missiles and try to avoid his attacks

for Ridley, dodging his attacks and using super missiles are the best way to handle him

for Mother Brain, the battle consists of two parts, part one you are to destroy the supposed life support system, avoid the defense system's attacks and use your super missiles, the glass surrounding mother brain's head shatters, deal damage to her head until the machines fall away revealing her body, part two starts here, the blue orbs do little damage, the blast from the arms cost you a whole energy tank if you are hit, try to avoid this. the bombs deal direct contact and explosive damage, this battle is scripted, just use up your missiles and super missiles to deal damage the quickest, mother brain will use the hyper beam which deals massive damage, drains your ammo, and is not avoidable, you can keep fighting after the first hit, but the second hit the story line takes place the large metroid attacks mother brain, draining it's life force and restoring your health, mother brain reawakens and weakens the metroid, the metroid tries to finish off mother brain, but fails, fragments of the defeated metroid fall on you, you gain the hyper beam, just dodge the blue orbs and mother brain will fall quickly, i won't spoil the ending, if you manage to defeat mother brain you'll get to see the ending

Like I said before, I already managed to beat Super Metroid. The boss battles weren't that hard, but finding out where to go and what to do was my problem because the maps are so huge and complex.
Mega Man X and Super Mario World give me headaches because of how many times I die before I can reach the end of a stage.

Which boss are you having trouble with?

For MMX, all of them. My biggest problem is even getting to them without losing too much life. I managed to get through the Chill Penguin and Armored Armadillo stages, though.

So I finally have a snes, right? I get a few of the best games out there (Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Megaman X).
All of them. REALLY DIFFICULT.
All I do is die and lose my way in those games! If I'm not making progress, I can't enjoy them!
I really want to enjoy these games, I really do! But... I just... can't...

Huh. I played all those on an actual SNES and beat them. It did take me some time though

Also, I HATE forced grinding in games

I don't mind all the grinding, these games are just too difficult for me to enjoy. Everyone says they're good games, and I want to believe them, but I just can't progress!

i have beaten all of them using an SNES emulator only playing using the keyboard, i even mastered wall jumping on super metroid using only the keyboard

Well, that sure doesn't make me feel better.
Am I just that bad?
I at least managed to beat Super Metroid, and it was awesome. My biggest problem was finding out where to go and what to do.
Megaman X and Super Mario World, however... I can't seem to beat a 3rd boss in MMX. I mean, I know what to do, but I'm just awful at doing it.
And did I mention that I've never beaten a Mario game?

There are fleas EVERYWHERE. They're in the house, on the floor, in my bed, and in the yard. I've killed so many fleas it's not even funny.

I'm having the same issue with flies. Winter will save our sanity.

It's never winter in Louisiana. Not at least until late December. It's hot down here.

Guys, I saw a fox. Now, that might not seem very exciting. But this fox not only got near my house, it crawled under my car. Foxes NEVER come near people, much less crawl under their cars. Up until that point, I had never seen a fox.

I should probably explain my situation -- A few of you may know this already, but for the lot of you who don't, I have become completely heads over heels for this one girl, and my goodness she is just... PERFECT! @w@ There's literally nothing wrong with her at all -- She's independent, strong, funny, intelligent, lax, and just plain awesome! How can I say no to that!?
Well, apparently there's some other guy who can't, and guess what? He happens to be the president of the roleplaying site, Ponysquare... @.@ Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah, That's not helping me with my inferiority complex one freakin bit. Now, after a while, I started to see that itself isn't that bad, I've heard it from her that she would actually love to be with me (For the record, YAY! owo), but from a couple of friends I hear he's going after 3-4 girls at the SAME TIME, one of them being a girl that my friend likes...
What the heck? Is one girl not even good enough for this guy? Is the girl I like not good enough for him that he has to try and go out with 3 other people behind her back!? Blah, ignoring the fact that He's trying to go out with the girl I like, but really, If you can't so much as promise to commit yourself to one person -- One single person, then why should you even be allowed to date people at all? I mean, just, no! It doesn't work that way! (At least not well) And besides, love isn't just something you can use to get all the men/women you want -- I know a lot of people have different definitions of love, But that most certainly should NOT be one.

S-Sorry, sorry, but I just needed to be out and rant about that... Just, Players... I despise  them so freaking much...

Obviously, he's a guy with self-esteem issues himself. Going out with more than one girl at a time just gets him attention. Nothing more. People like that bug the heck outta me. No need to be sorry about them (or for them, for that matter).

I was feeling extremely depressed yesterday... Like beyond belief.. I was texting my school friends and I was basically just saying "I'm a loser. I don't know why anyone likes me." Looking back I feel stupid.
I have wonderful friends.

I texted one and said... "Do you think I'm... Cool?"
She responded, and I quote:
" Totally! Why would you even ask? Everyone likes you, you're super nice and you're just in general awesome!!! Unless you mean constipated overweighted old lady. But really, who cares what people think, reject the status quo. So, in conclusion, you are totally cool (unlike me) but i don't care. Friends

You remind me of one of my friends. One of my best friends, in fact. Might as well be my girlfriend, I dunno, nothing official (though she's been hinting at it). I tell her all the time to believe in herself just as I do. She's a great artist and a wonderful person, even though she might not believe it herself. And any time I send her a message, she tells me she smiles. And that makes me smile!

My birthday is coming up soon, and I know at least two things I want! A solid state drive and an SNES. I kinda missed out on those, but I've wanted one for a while along with a couple of games I played on my best friend's SNES. Seriously, I want to finish Super Metriod!

Someone seriously said "But he's old! Who's listening to his music, old people?!" when she found out that Weird Al's new album managed to hit #1 on the charts.

This isn't even a matter of me being a Weird Al fan. It's the audacity that she'd think someone isn't relevant anymore just because they've been making music for a long time.

I wanted to slap the mess out of her for that. Some of those people on Kids/Teens React... Weird Al is the MAN! There's no way he CAN'T be relevant even after all these years.

Anyway...
I can't sleep. Dunno why, might be a small case of insomnia, but I've ended up exhausted during the day for the past few weeks.
