It is plausible that if they've lost control of the website and the hackers are spoofing emails from them that messaging through their actual Minecraft servers (which are still running fine, so they probably haven't been hacked) is the best way to reach their users quickly (and quickly is more important than elegantly when your users are freaking out). Also, Minecraft cuts off the end of long messages, so that misspelled "fake" could simply be a cut off message. ...or hackers have gotten in, and they're just really sadistic getting our hopes up only to have them dashed again. I really hope it's the former.

I've only been playing for a few days, so I won't pretend to be devastated that it's going down. However, I can say that I have quite enjoyed the time I've spent playing as well as the company of the other ponies I've met on the server. I will certainly come back if you make a new server. We can rebuild it! Maybe some new players will come if they find out it's refreshing.

First in my class, here at MIT. Got skills, I'm a champion of D&D. My rims never spin to the contrary, you'll find that they're quite stationary.....Ahem, so yeah, that would be a yes. I am a fan of Weird Al. I'm not sure if that's strictly my favorite, but good stuff.

Yay, Minecraft. I just got white-listed this morning, and started building a house, in a town, somewhere. I've almost finished my house, but unfortunately I'm getting an internal server error when I try to connect now. Did the server crash or something?

Also YouTube, and last season they were pretty quick at getting them up. I was able to find them in HD just a few hours after the show aired. I'm going to try one of the streams today, though, don't want to wait a few hours if I don't have to.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Warmth does seem to be a defining characteristic amongst the pony types, and sorry I don't role-play. I have enough trouble keeping track of all my roles in real life without having to worry about fictitious ones  .

I got a chance to play Legends of Equestria during the stress test, and have been rather excited about it ever since. I just wanted to say hi, and express my support for the project and everyone working on it. If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Oh, and I suppose I should mention I'm a computer scientist and mathematician with experience in artificial intelligence, physics simulation, 3D graphics, and just a hint of game development. Though, I don't so much write games as solve problems that need to be solved with science.

Anyways, I'll be hanging around awaiting the next open play test. Talking ponies, talking science, talking ponies doing science. Speaking of which, Twilight is best emoticon  .
