as the party gets prepared to fight, some of the spiders near the forward party, start looking about away from the pony they have been fighting.
122
((and finally you guys make it to the battle field....that took forever, it wasn't even that far))

as Price and Tian peered around the corner of the debris of the wreaked facility, they could seem what looked like a large battle, or at least what remained of it; as several dozen's of spiders lay strewn across the field, debris and cobwebs.  Amongst all of this, several spiders continued to fight a lone figure, as another shadow darted down from above and crushed a spider flat, "SCREee......" it's cry cut short.  A strangely shaped object had collided with it, and shattered upon impact making it difficult to discern what it was. But one thing was for sure, in the center was in fact dark equine like figure resembling Noy's appearance.  The few remaining spiders moved about cautiously, as if observing him.  He watched the spiders in turn, promptly dropping something that looked like a rope from his mouth.
123
((looks like it split into 3:
forward air group 1 member,
forward ground group 2+ member(s),
everyone who stayed back for what ever reason....
so yeah if you want to be in the front do so now))

cutting thru the webs isn't too hard, just time consuming, thought he's also making the path a bit more straight forward for him.  A few shadows can be seen darting about in the distance.

As for Tian and Price, another "....ssSSSSSCREEEEEEEee.....!!!" heard going by rather fast, as a shadow followed it; thought where it was going, to and from, was hard to deduce.

It was only after taking flight that Tech noticed a flaw in his plan... Cobwebs, everywhere!  making approaching the area difficult if a pony didn't approach from certain routes; and even then, moving at high speeds would only serve to get one's self tangled in a web.

As Tian and the others who followed closely (if any), got closer to the fight, they could see the cobwebs every-where.  Including, what looked like various defeated spiders and debris scattered across them, and the ground as well.  As they approached the main area, which was just around the corner, a few shadows darted off in the distance, their clatter growing rapidly faint; especially over the noise being made ahead, "HERGGG..."*WHAM*"SCREEEEEEEEE!!!", clearly the sound of another Spider biting the dust.

((finallly))

as TC looked ahead he could see a few bodies moving about.  A large mass struck one into the ground, as just as quickly, another jumped at the third.  It would seem that there was indeed a fight up ahead. but what was most strange was the number of weak life readings scattered about.  Either, they were the strangest fauna you've ever seen, or there was a fairly large fight here.  Of course, prior data pointed to the latter;  and as such, it didn't take long to confirm that most, if not all the faint lifeforms, were defeated spiders.
126
((I'm mainly waiting on them to approach the area.))

In the distance Price could see the silhouettes take form as various figures darted back and forth; some of the shapes looked like crooked quadrupeds, others had more legs and seemed to look like they might be spiders.  In the midst of the chaos a single glow could be seen darting about.  Additionally, there was a few spiders laying on the ground nearby, presumably defeated.

hmmm, I suppose having it overload and sort of Zig-Zaging you into Tartarus might work.
128
canon-wise, an inter-dimensional portal may have some difficulty putting you in the area... Tartarus, from my under-standing, is more or less an isolated space; kind of like a displaced plane, or something.  Basically things don't easily get in or out; except thru the front door.......you could go with the standard, falls out of a monster belly after it was slain, say something like "I was eaten by that monster but, you saved me." yadda yadda yadda; or something to that effect.
129
The shadows ahead continued to move about, as several cries could be heard; and as the dust from the crash cleared, the number of shadows moving about, began to dwindle a bit.
130
Just as soon, as the party was prepared, did the shadow stop being just a silhouette; and instead, a hurtling mass that whizzed by and smashed across the wall they just passed thru.  Debris flew everywhere from the impact, in a resounding boom.  despite the sound created from this, it was still possible to hear the fighting up ahead; as many moans, yells, and screams could be heard.  Most of which, belonged to various (most likely non-pony) creatures.
131
((lol yeah...it'll be interesting))

One of said shadows, could be seen approaching the party with great haste.
132
(( I can't resist ))

a Goat could be seen surfing the waves of The Wave pool.

"...I suppose I'll continue then...Things didn't pan out as expected, the realm the gods created, had become a mess and many of the gods responsible for cleaning it up, became lazy.  As a result, of both that, and the many gods actively causing problems, the 'Sisters'...decided that we needed to start all over again.  It was, rather unexpected but, more or less, everything was scraped, and we had to start over, making this place.  Fortunately, a fair amount of the mortals were spared, and some of them returned, to continue living here.  Despite there being less things this time around, the realm is more stable...." Gathering stopped after that to observe Laser's reaction.

sorry fixed a few things. (see above)  I got rid of the max attacks blocked, as it usually would case the shield to explode by that point, stopping it from blocking any more attacks anyway.

as for threshold and max:

  • Threshold: the amount of damage the shield can hold before breaking down and exploding

  • Max: the most amount of damage the shield can successfully fire back (not including the half power reduction from being an AOE)

136
talked it over with Magus, mainly regarding balance... here are the specifics of the ability.

[Return to Sender]

Creates a barrier around the user and/or several individuals, allowing magical attacks to exit, but any external assault can be absorbed by the shield (there might be exceptions) and become repelled back in a volatile explosion.

  • Larger the Area of effect, the faster Mana will be discharged. (yes there is such a thing as Mana exhaustion)

  • Block Effect: [damage5%] absorption per a Caster turn, each attack

  • [damage25%] max absorption per a Caster, each shield

  • Threshold of [damage20%] per a Caster, each shield

  • If absorption threshold is exceeded, all damage built up will expelled as an attack, at half power (AOE mechanics.)

  • requires sustaining - requires the caster to spend their action each round to maintain the barrier.  This still allows for things like speaking and moving

  • Movement speed is halved

feel free to ask questions

"..No...It's not, around anymore."
138
"...I'm...not sure how to feel about that..." Mumbled Zeth to himself, as he looked at the mini planet. "No wait. It doesn't have a soul, so it's like I took a realllllly big poo....and, I'm not sure how I feel about that either..."
139
Gathering could be seen looking off to the side.   :/ "... well anyway." x3 "Do you want to hear about anything in more detail, before I continue on?"
140
"Heh, probably none.  Where were we...Ah yes, There was also an incident with the Technology God's negligence.  He created a group of robots but didn't bother to keep them in-line.  And instead of simply correcting his mistake, he ditched his god-hood and left...Frankly, I'm glad he's gone, considering the mess he left us with. This isn't to say I won't deck him once If I see him again."
