I forgot to add the "Might" into that sentence...Here's hoping it actually works.
122
You get some extra points if you mention Bygone c:
123
Heh...
124
Darn it all...No brownies in the house.  I'll have to make do with peanut butter crackers.
Also, I'm good, Cheebo.  How about you?  Feeling any better?
125
As everyone likely should be, heh.
Good evening, Cheebo.
126
That post was more to set up something else.
Don't worry, Fae, he won't be much of a bother from here on out.  c:

Common stayed where he was, watching her move away from him.
His face was scrunched in an expression of cold anger...And an almost unnoticeable concern.
"...I won't be the only one cursed with those memories, ma'am."  He glanced to the young filly he'd met only a while earlier, the concern moving closer to the surface before disappearing completely.
His eyes lingered for just a moment on Mother-Mare, memorizing everything he could.

Before he was able to make more of a fool of himself, Common turned to leave in the opposite direction, closer to the oceans edge where noise was drowned by waves.
He hadn't been able to convince her, but that didn't have to mean all was lost.  He had a few tricks left.
Common stopped moving just as the water lapped at his hooves, pulling out a small seashell from a coat pocket and holding it close to his lips.
"You listening?"  For a moment, silence.  Then he spoke again.
"Good.  I want you to get ahold of that stallion fellow, the weird one."
...  The one who runs the inn next door?
"Yeah, that's the one.  Tell him to keep an eye on someone for me with that pool he's got in his basement, just general tabs, nothing invasive."
...  Have you found another...How did you put it last time?  Golden ticket?
"Yeah."
...  Description?
"Filly, red mane, faded red coat.  Speaks with an accent.  Mark's an owl with three cards."
...  Cards?  I like her already.
"I don't think they're your kind of cards, BB."
...  ...Can you be sure this one is gonna turn out different from last time?
"I think this one could pay off.  The old guy from a while back got cold feet before we could try anything, I'm not letting another opportunity slip away."
...  If you're sure, Commie...Just don't do anything stupid, alright?
Common Cents smiled.  "I think I've hit my stupidness quota by now.
Don't worry, BB.  I'll be okay.
"
Before a response could be made, he slipped the seashell back into his pocket and gazed out at the ocean.
The pure emotion Mother-Mare had spoken to him with was effective, to say the least.  He was only barely keeping himself together during their conversation.
There were no doubts that she was serious with her threats, and now Common was entangled in them.

A waiting game had begun, but he was willing to play.
128
Totally good.  Gonna pass out now, see you all tomorrow.
129
Unfortunately, I'll have to sleep pretty soon.
Sorry Fae, we might have to postpone the discussion until tomorrow night.
130
Common almost smiled, but held back.
"I thought you already knew.  I want to profit in any way I can, but since I have yet to hear what I'd be profiting from..."

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.  "If you tell me that there is no benefit in this for me, I will walk away right now and you will never see me again.
You will continue to plot, and your daughter will continue to be in danger.
Or you can let me help, allowing your daughter a place to be safe in case something unexpected happens, and I pick up some needed coin as a happy side-effect of whatever it is you're planning to do.  No one loses.
"
Common opened his eyes, somewhat tired of being questioned.
131
Finally.  The good part.

Common remained sitting.  "Any skills I have that are of use to you are of a more...Abstract nature."
A small, slow smile had begun to form.  "You seem like the type who keeps all your valuables on you at all times, which can be a benefit in some cases.  But I know how to keep things safe."  He stood up, brushing some sand off himself.
"For instance, your daughter, who is once again wandering from your supervision."  Common pointed toward the filly, who seemed to still be speaking to a stranger.

"As a benefit to working in a bank, I also meet a lot of people.  The type who don't ask a lot of questions.  One of them can find anything, or anyone.  Another could turn a whistle into a watch at 12 years old.  There are others that I've heard only rumors of...
An added bonus is that I'm not well known around here, and I can talk pretty well.
"
Common eyed the mare with curiosity.  "I don't know how much use all this is to a loner like you, but it is at your disposal."
132
Common was very suddenly reminded why he bought the glasses.
A blank expression crossed his face.  "I'll get to the point."
Instead of closing them, Common kept his eyes looking straight at hers.
"...She told me you were up to some trouble, and where there's trouble, there's profit.  Which means I'd like to aid in any small capacity I can."

Common awaited a response.
He had a pretty good idea what she'd do to him if she didn't like his answer.
133
Common sat down in front of her.  "Certainly, but you're always losing your temper.  I'm beginning to think you're just saying that, to be frank."
He smiled, and continued.  "To actually answer your question, at first it was boredom.  Then intrigue.  Then..."
Common trailed off.  This would be the make or break moment.
134
Oooh...I think I like that.
135
"...To apologize."  Common took the glasses off.  They were silly anyway.
The sincerity almost hurt.  "I was wrong, you were right.  I'm sorry."
136
Darn...I liked having the Twins of Order.
137
I honestly wouldn't know what White's is...He doesn't really have an interesting or defining character trait anymore, now that his main character arc is complete.

As for Grey, to me she's one of the Twins of Order.
She's been a consistent backbone for the group many times.
138
Common was surprised for a moment.
Was it his imagination, or had he been forced to hold back a laugh from her joke?
"Actually, these aren't prescription.  They're more of a personal insurance measure."
He cleared his throat.  "Ma'am, I've decided to come back to bother you for a very simple reason."
Common attempted to sound as not-sweaty as possible, whatever that even meant.
139
Forgiveness.  At least...That's what she's always been to me.
140
Common's first steps onto the beach were uneventful.  It took a moment for him to spot anyone, but what he did see intrigued him.
The filly he'd met the other day was talking to someone new, another Mare.  His interest didn't last long, however, once he noticed Mother-Mare couldn't be seen.
Paranoia quickly gripped him as he fumbled to put the safety glasses on.  Once his eyes were securely...Secure, Common continued his search for Foli's mother.

...It didn't take him long to find her.  She was a distance away from him, napping.
Strange.  She almost looked peaceful for a moment.  He wished he could simply talk to her much more pleasant daughter, but...What had to be done, had to be done.

Smushing his way through the sand, he finally got up the courage to speak to her.
"Ma'am?"  His newly obtained thick glasses sitting atop his nose.
