Getting into a (civil, thank Luna) argument with someone but being unable to articulate your point through theirs.  I just wish I wasn't so lazy, otherwise I'd actually bother to back my point up with evidence.  Now I just feel pathetic for not feeling it's worthwhile to try, and afraid what that means about my position.

This song never fails to get me hyped.  It's useful for running a bunch of dungeons in Trove for challenges.

Makes me wish I actually had a WiiU to buy this game for...watched an LP and it was crazy awesome, but I still want to play it!

Well, considering these images that someone recently posted on Tumblr, Neo might have had something to do with it...

^ At 15:54, one of his eyes was brown instead of gray. I'm looking into it right now. It's weird. I hope this whole illusion thing gets explained because it's confusing everyone.

I can't replicate that screenshot, so I guess nevermind it. I even separated that part of the episode into frames, and none of the frames have either of his eyes brown.

Man, I got off-topic. :o

Ummmm. I found some tasty leftovers I didn't expect in the fridge! :)

I kinda dragged it off anyways, my bad  X3

Back on topic, I at least started some of the work I need to do by Thursday if I want to pass my classes this semester.  Already the stress has gone down...now I just need to actually keep it up.  Charge!  >:O

Oh yeah, Yang vs Tifa? That was really interesting to watch. I noticed that they actually used a couple of moves and shots directly from RWBY and Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Such as, when Tifa lands on the mirror and stays there for a moment while the force from her being thrown catches up with her and shatters the mirror? It's the same shot as in Advent Children, when she lands on a wall in the church, and stays there for a moment while the force from being thrown catches up with her and makes petals fly off of the flowers on the ground.

Spoiler: Episode 6 Spoilers • show
It seems that Yang was the one under the illusion, like she was hallucinating it all. This, and the fake Yatsuhashi from episode 4, has led people to wonder if Emerald has kind of an inverse version of Neo's Semblance. Like, if Neo's Semblance causes illusions that people around her see, while Emerald makes one person hallucinate. There's also the fact that, one of the lines you can hear in the song that plays during Emerald and Mercury's tournament round sounds like "And defeat you from inside your mind."
It's all really confusing, and the cliffhanger doesn't make it any better, and I really wanna see Neo again, and we haven't seen Roman at all this Volume. We also haven't seen Adam yet.

Also, interesting thing you can notice when rewatching the episode: Ruby calls out "Break a leg, sis!" to Yang. Go figure. I actually yelled about that while rewatching the episode, like "Are you kidding me?! You really wrote that?!!"

Something someone else noticed: Amber -> Being preserved -> Like a creature caught in amber.

Rooster Teeth loves their puns and wordplay. Good thing I'm a sucker for puns and wordplay. ovO

Spoiler: show
I'd argue that Neo covered the two of them in an illusion, like dome with the image projected on the outside, while Mercury really did try to kick Yang and she retaliated...at least that's what made sense to me.  Which is why I wonder if any sensors Ironwood may have stashed in the stadium (to detect aura readouts during the fight, for instance) would prove Yang's innocence yet still keep it under wraps to try and prevent mass panic->Grimm invasion.  But that's my take on it, we'll see how accurate that is next episode.
As for the wordplay: there's too much to keep up with in this series.  I love it too, but I miss the subtleties of it so often.

The new RWBY episode, Volume 3 Episode 6: Fall, is awesome!
Might be a little too serious for some people, considering there was next to no comedy whatsoever, but man, it was amazing!

It had me on the edge of my seat, watching and listening in curiosity, awe, wonder, and shock!
Man, that moment when you start to feel disappointed because you think the episode is going the predictable way, and then something different happens, and you're left sitting there thinking "What? What is--" but you don't even have time to finish your question because now you're in shock, just stunned!! ovO

And then it ends on a cliffhanger. :s But in a good way. :3 Well... I, personally, consider it to be a "cliffhanger in a good way." Dunno how anyone else feels about it. Especially since next weekend is a World of Remnant video instead of an episode... Buuuut I'm curious what that one will be about! *Sits down at a desk* I'm ready to learn, Headmaster!!

Just got through that episode as well and I've gotta share most of those sentiments, but knowing that we're going to be in the dark for a couple weeks is making that cliffhanger hard to swallow.  I know patience is a virtue in this situation but I really need to know who knows what in this situation, and not just from inference.

Spoiler: show
Also checking some facts on the wiki reminded me that a webseries I follow every so often had featured Yang a while back.  I caught up with that episode and it was pretty great...if really uncomfortable coming right off of RWBY s3e6.  :I

So a big, long old storm just started rolling into where I'm at school and I just discovered that the carpets next to the outer wall of my (second floor) dorm room are damp.  I've dabbed up what I can and have submitted a work order to campus maintenance, but me being paranoid I'm not sure if there's something else I need to do.  My windows are shut and it seems like the walls are dry, leading me to believe there's something happening underneath the floor.  And here I was laughing at the raging downspout that was splattering all over my window earlier today...This storm is going to be here for at least a bit longer, which worries me even more.

Update: So I called my RA and set off a chain of events that seems to have discovered that said downspout from earlier might be the result of the problem.  Also apparently, other rooms have discovered water issues in the floor as well.  And apparently mine is the least drowned at the moment.  Which leads into a different annoyance: how was I the one who reported this?!  The RA was surprised and worried when he saw my floor, meaning he wasn't aware of this before I showed him the first time.

Also in my defense, I was laughing at the downspout earlier because I kept hearing something bash against my window and I worried it was something far worse, like a branch in the wind hitting my window with a decent amount of force.  I guess it's a good thing I noticed it earlier, since it may have helped isolate what the heck is trying to flood my second-story room!

'Tis a Black Queen, I think. I mean, the message Ozpin got from Qrow at the end of Volume 1 said "Queen has pawns" so it fits if the piece is a Queen.

So far, it seems that Faunus can only have one physical animal trait. Blake has cat ears, Velvet has rabbit ears, Sun has a monkey tail, various background Faunus have animal ears, there was a White Fang member who had tusks... Neon does seem to be a cat. I guess the end of her tail being lighter is supposed to reflect that. And yeah, I think we were meant to find her annoying and dislike her.

Spoiler: show
I remembered that Queen line from S1 at least, but when I figured the bug had been put on Ironwood's scroll (again, I mistook it being on there in the first place), I assumed it was a continuation of the motif, where Ironwood was her (unknowing) rook.  Looking at the still again, it's definitely a queen instead.  Oops.

I feel the need to repeat something in frustration, and this is the best place I can do it, so...

Spoiler: RWBY spoilers • show
Cinder could already choose the matches before Ironwood connected his Scroll to Ozpin's computer!
Cinder could already choose the matches before that
Cinder could already choose the matches before that
Cinder could already choose the matches before that
CINDER COULD ALREADY CHOOSE THE MATCHES BEFORE THAT
CINDER. COULD. ALREADY. CHOOSE. THE MATCHES. BEFORE THAT!!!!!!!

Ironwood's Scroll had nothing to do with that! I swear, if I see anyone else saying that his Scroll getting infected gave her access to choose the matches, after the new episode has shown us what it really did, I might scream!! It was implied beforehand that she was already choosing the matches, considering she and Emerald said they knew JNPR was going to win their match. That, and the way Cinder said she'd get everything ready sounded like she had already done it before and that Mercury and Emerald knew exactly what she was talking about.

She was already choosing the matches before Ironwood's Scroll got infected with the virus!!!

Spoiler: show
Well now I feel like an idiot.  I thought she'd somehow got the bug on Ironwood's scroll and it transferred to Ozpin's computer.  Don't ask me how I thought she'd managed that, because I don't have an answer.  At least I recognized the significance of the rook on the screen before it was spelled out to the audience, and that was even considering the fact I completely forgot about seeing her upload the thing in Dance Dance Infiltration.  I may need to just rewatch the whole series over winter break and see what other continuity I've missed/forgotten.

Also a minor niggle: I wasn't a fan of Neon exactly, the genki-girl and mid-battle taunting combo just doesn't sit well with me (and something about her face bugged me), but she is meant to be a cat Faunus, right?  If so can Faunus be born with more than one animal trait, such as ears and a tail?  I had assumed she was a monkey like Sun (which still fit the agility motif in my head) until TVTropes pointed out the obvious Nyan Cat reference.  :facehoof:

Did anyone else see the Honey Lemon (Big Hero 6) pony at Twilight's lecture? :3

Hrm. So, out of the villains... Sombra was waging an all out full-on war, Chrysalis was tracking down and fighting rebels, Discord and Nightmare Moon had total control of Equestria, and Tirek was destroying things.

This was a really interesting finale. It was neat seeing all the What If's. Starlight's redemption probably would've been better if Twilight had found her friend and reunited them, but eh.

Spoiler: show
I was thinking that Twilight should have reunited her with her friend as well: he was sent to the same school Twi was in, right?  She probably bumped into him at least once...

I like how Starlight's redemption was handled, and seeing how her past made her honestly think she was doing the right thing, I just feel uneasy about redeeming her right now.  Maybe if we'd seen some more of her besides a random background flash I'd think more of it: it's the same problem I had with redeeming Diamond Tiara, just not enough time for a turnaround.  When we last saw Starlight she wasn't exactly in the "open to reinterpreting her views" mindset, and even the fights between the two during their encounters in the past didn't convince me she was entirely ready to stop and think about what she was doing.
As for the rest of the episode, two things.  First, I LOVED Nightmare Moon's castle! If it were Luna and not Nightmare Moon on those tapestries I'd say keep the whole thing (though Silver Quill my be disappointed by that).  And second, I realize it was for a joke, but how in Equestria's name is Sweet Apple Acres being bulldozed by the FlimFlam brothers a worse alternate history than a dictator ruling eternal night, all ponykind fighting an eternal war, and all ponykind losing an eternal war, or a tyrant destroying absolutely everything?

I remember having a very odd question in Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team.  I found out about this thing called a Silence Orb and really wanted to learn about it more, namely one completely pointless thing.  It inflicts "Muzzled" on a Pokemon, which essentially prevents the mouth from being used at all (moves, eating etc), and I had to wonder: if a partner of mine was Muzzled, could they talk like normal?  I tried experimenting but I never got something to try and use it on my party.

It was either risk that traffic and parking or have to go waaaaay far out of my way when I go back up to school tomorrow.  Besides, the one I went to was pretty much up against a residential neighborhood in a lot with no other stores.  I made it in and out no problems...save having to delete one of my saved wifi connections so I could actually hook up to Mcdonald's network.  Dangit Nintendo!

Just a reminder for those in North America: the Hoopa distribution is now live via McDonald's and is for all Gen 6 games. You have until December 23, 2015 to get it.

The one thing that might get me out of my house on Black Friday...only because it's far more convenient to get to one from my dad's house than from school.

Difficulty settings are there for a reason: to allow a greater scope of players to enjoy the game.  If it's too easy on normal mode, guess what...that's what hard is for!  O:

Personally I like to play games on an easier setting: does that make me a "casual"?  Maybe.  Call me crazy for saying this, but most times I play games to have fun and relax, not cause me more stress because I can't beat a mission.  If I want a challenge, I'll crank the difficulty up, simple as that.

Real "1st World Problems" of me here, but I'm trying to catch up on an episode of a show I missed through Xfinity's online video streaming...and it's terrible.  Their quality settings are nonexistent (low and high), and of the options low looks absolutely terrible, while high...doesn't play.  It buffers at most 2 minutes before stopping to buffer again.  The thing is, their only troubleshooting help for this problem is "well your computer just isn't up to snuff".  Horseapples, I say.  My pc will run rings around your minimum system reqs with two of her cores shut off, and it's more than capable of running other video and streaming services, with no hassle, at the same time as Xfinity while it's flailing about.  But even with their streaming running it's own, nothing else up, the situation hasn't improved...First thing that I want to do when I get my own place is change net providers if at all possible.

That's mostly coming as the icing on a day of condensed aggravation, so this is kinda a "straw that broke the camel's back" rant.  Hope I didn't middle-class American too hard on anybody.

The Mane Attraction:

Spoiler: show
Some of this episode grated on me.  I liked the overall message, even when I saw it coming from a mile away, but Rara's manager...oh dear Luna.  :facehoof:

I seriously can't stand this type of character, the manager who steamrolls the star for his/her own gain.  It makes this type of episode so hard for me to sit through: the moment he whispered into Rara's ear when she was talking to AJ I knew he was going to be a character that seriously ruined this episode for me.

Besides him I at least liked how the story played out, save one minor detail: when the manager leaves, Rara says that he was in charge of everything, lights, sound etc.  While that may have been true that he controlled all of it, he couldn't have run all of it.  Surely at least a few members of the crew, especially in a place as "friendship is magic"-y as Equestria, would have stayed by to help the performance happen.  It was something that bugged me too about "Rarity Takes Manehattan" and "Made in Manehattan": with the exception of a curt mention of the costume designer and Coco having to adjust costumes last minute, really none of the crew making the shows happen even got a background appearance.  Perhaps that's just the techie in me complaining about under-appreciation/representation though...

I've been struggling to remember some really obscure anime...thing I rented from a video store a long while ago, but the only thing I can remember from it is that it had an awesome futuristic jet fighter and one of their officers had a metal mask fully enclosing and bonded to his head.  There are no other details in my head, but I'm dying to find a name for this thing...

Reinhardt is alive today, apparently. The game takes place in 2076, Reinhardt is 61 years old, that means he was born in 2015. I should check Stuttgart's birth records...

-It has begun.-

While I don't think I'll be playing Overwatch, it looks like a fun game and I love that there's such a complex story behind it.  I really want to know more about the Omnic Crisis and what came before it.

I see McDonald's has adopted a new "25 seconds or less" guarantee at the drive thru.

Look, I realize it's called fast food but come on, McDonald's workers are not paid enough to have that kind of pressure put on them. I'd gladly wait longer that 25 seconds if I knew I wasn't giving someone a stomach ulcer.

I'm getting an anxiety attack just hearing about that...I'm not the kind of person for customer service, I know that for a fact, but customer service on a timer has to be pushing it for everyone.  I get the idea behind this, keep customers happy, but your workers are not a resource to be taxed like that.

I think a thing is just that if the whole world tried their best to make the world a place like Equestira it'd be so much nicer.
People would care for one another.
Others wouldn't need half as much help.

This is why I'm somewhat addicted to stories of other worlds: because stories like MLP show what society might be like.  NO, I don't mean life could be all pastel ponies everywhere, I mean that it could be an actually pleasant and friendly world to live in.  I believe it's possible, but absurdly unlikely, which is why I prefer to pay attention to other worlds were someone's already figured it out and gotten the word out.
