My dad once accidentally spilled some coffee in the chair he was sitting in. It wasn't enough that he felt it was worth getting up right away, until he realized (too late) that his phone was in his back pocket.
Aside from that, I really can't think of anything. There was an amazingly lucky close call though that I'll be sure to post when I have more time (and yes, it also involves my dad).

Oh man....sorry to hear about all that, especially the part about your pet. It always hurts to come home only to find a pet died, especially when it's not from natural causes

Some of these I actually have easy explanations for, others I completely agree are confusing, and some I honestly can't believe I never thought of
Here's one that always confused me:
Each Pokemon is classified as being a like a specific animal, right? But there don't seem to be any animals other than Pokemon in their world
Maybe this is only the case in the cartoon and in the games you just never see the normal animals, but even then it's weird in the cartoon.

Trust me, I've spotted weirder goofs. For example:
-Same episode when the ponies first take off in the race, if you look closely you'll notice multiple Lyras racing (may be other doubles, but if so I never noticed).
-In A Canterlot Wedding Part 2, shortly before the zombie bridesmaids, Lyra can be spotted in the wedding audience

Me: Our boss will kill us if we break the fourth wall since it "cheapens the comics page" or something.
Brain: Funny epic storyline?
Me: Nope, can't do epic storylines either since almost nobody reads the school paper regularly.
Brain: .....How much do we get payed for these again?
Me: ......About ten bucks per comic.
Brain: And the paper only runs twice a week?
Me: Yup.
Brain: .....Our job stinks.
Me: I know, Brain. I know.
Brain: Oooh, I know, do a joke about poniez!!!!
