Quote from: Trege on 2013 May 21, 20:55:43We appreciate it. It's best for everyone if we just leave it at that we probably won't post it.
But like I said before it's your guy's business I'm only offering advice.
Quote from: Trege on 2013 May 21, 20:42:00Ordinarily I would completely agree with that sentiment, except that the apology is for inappropriate behavior executed in response to a justified action of preventing further drama. We don't need more gossip running around the forums. The parts that were removed, as you well know, Trege, were personal matters that may or may not be substantiated. They have no place on a forum, especially a forum with the themes of tolerance and kindness, and an average audience as young as we have.
Only one comment was bad and it was on the bottom. As otherwise she didn't mention any names. And just explained what had happened. It's your guy's business but just know if the whole story isn't told things often end up worse than they are now with no one winning. As those wronged usually want what happened to them shown. And the Internet is a perfect place for them to attempt that.
If you truly have an apology then not showing everything will only end badly and worse for whoever it was, that is in the wrong.
Quote from: The Wandering Magus on 2013 May 21, 19:48:40Because 100% professionalism isn't as helpful as you'd think. If everything was business on projects like these and everything was transparent, we couldn't cultivate any kind of relationships with each other because that requires private time. Also, it'd become a job. Regardless of if working on any project actually is a job, it's still a choice of if if feels like one. The most productive work gets done when it's fun and staff are having a good time. Just look at big, successful companies like Facebook, Valve, and NASA. They have all kinds of videos and webpages talking about the renovations they do to their offices and work areas to make their employees more at ease and feel like they're at home when they're actually at work.
why would the leak be a problem rather than a solution? leaking this type of discussion is exactly what needs to happen in order to ensure responsible and mature leaders in this forum and future game. It allows transparency and inspires accountability among the team members. All leaders should be accountable for their actions, regardless of whether it occurs in public or in private, and mature in what they do and how they act. Censorship only leads to a lack of accountability and a lack of professionalism.
Quote from: Little Judas on 2013 May 19, 19:35:11I'm not sure I follow?Quote from: Tekner on 2013 May 19, 15:54:02
Among the top reasons being maturity.
HA! Bet you couldn't type that with a straight face.

"All applicants must be at least 16 years of age."
-sigh-
Quote from: Tiger on 2013 May 19, 03:28:49Indeed. Among the top reasons being maturity.
Surely they have their reasons for the applicants needing to be 16 and above. Don't be upset
Quote from: Cotton Ball on 2013 May 12, 17:07:10That's definitely more likely. Unfortunately, Swebow Day would need to use Hay Bacon because ponies don't eat meat
ok how about staff birthdays with exclusive items like for example bloomberg=tree hat swebow=bacon hat Kit=pet sloth and ect
Quote from: Dark Hooves on 2013 May 12, 06:49:58I wasn't saying that just for your sake. There are more people that can see my post than you or I and it creates a precedent.
as i was saying i was just tossing out ideas
Quote from: Chishio Kunrin on 2013 May 12, 01:18:41Correct. It is my understanding that all prospective "features" like this which only serve to "officialize" roleplays will not be added to the game at all and they will simply have to be roleplayed entirely by the individuals instead.
I'm pretty sure that players won't be able to get married. If you want, you can roleplay it, but I doubt there will be an actual system for marriage like that.
Quote from: Cotton Ball on 2013 May 11, 04:59:19The issue with that is that everyone here isn't from the US or Mexico. If we include any of those holidays, we'd have to observe all the other nations' holidays, and we can't possibly do that. Also, none of those holidays have any relevance in Equestria, so any events we'd do for real-world holidays would have to be held out of the game anyhow. Sorry.
Nice idea I think we should celebrate the real holidays like Memorial Day, 4th of july, Cinco de mayo,Valintines day, and ect.
Quote from: Julius on 2013 May 03, 15:17:05I concur. This sub-forum is for things about the game, not the fandom or Hasbro.
This belongs to MLP Show discussion guys.
Quote from: KreativeMagic on 2013 Apr 26, 13:15:01CA isn't my dept, but judging by the poster on the front page "...email a link to your online portfolio...", I'd say that sounds right. Don't forget the other things it says you must include, among them being your Skype name and a recommendation that you can showcase non-MLP things as well.
Awesome! So would, say, my deviantART profile be fine as a portfolio?
Quote from: KreativeMagic on 2013 Apr 21, 13:14:51Don't think of this as trying to please us with fancy looking drawings. Think of it as showing us who you are, what you love, and what you're capable of. The only thing I'd suggest beyond that is to try to show breadth of styles/work if you can. We're looking for individuals above all.
I really want to apply for concept art, but I don't know what to have in my portfolio! I am three classes away from receiving my AA degree in art, do you guys think they would want to see art I've done in my classes as well as leisurely art? and how about fanart of other shows/movies/etc...?
Quote from: lily7603 on 2013 Apr 22, 21:31:06The plan is to open the game up when we hit beta. That means that once we're done with Alpha (Which we haven't started just yet, but are probably fairly close to. No, I don't know how much longer that means.), you can play shortly thereafter.
When the game is on late-beta, will we be able to play?I'm asking this cause one game I played let people play in the beta.
