Lightning woken up from his slumber, fluttering his eyes to adjust his vision. He sat up from his bed and gave a soft yawn, barely audible. He put his hooves on the floor of his room. He walked to the bathroom to freshen up.

Lightning decided to close his books and go to bed. He stood up from his chair, stretching out the aches from his body for remaining seated for long. He laid on his bed, slowly drifting into a blissful sleep.

Lightning sighed, closing his door and turned off the spell, making the artificial night disappeared. He sat at his desk and pulled a book to him, opening the cover. "Maybe I should try unnoticeable magic." He thought, "Will the other kids like me, because I'm an alicorn?" Thoughts about his future popularity swirled in his head, worried if he'll find someone who likes him or who he is, not just for being an alicorn.

"Mez...a classmate." The answer is a bit awkward sounding, as if it was a lie. But Mez continued, "I, uh, saw light coming from your room and... I was wondering what it was..."

Lightning was hesitant to open the door but decided to let Mez see the source of light coming from his room. He opened the door and showed the artificial night he had created.

Lightning jumps a little, startled by the sudden knock in his door. He walks to the door to answer. "Um, Who is it?" He asked in a timid voice.

Lightning has read through three books already. He gets up from his chair and walks at the center of his room and sits. He focuses  as his horn begins to glow light blue. small orbs of light appear and float to the sealing of the room. For the final touch, Lightning makes the ceiling as black as the night sky. He did this spell when he was younger. The ceiling now resembled the night sky, except with out the moon. It's light is so bright it leaks out of his room, something that will leads other students to his room by accident.

Lightning heard the bell and got his books and supplies in his saddlebags. As he continued to walk out to Math, he saw a mare still sleeping. "She must not have heard the bell." He thought. He decide to walk over to her and walk her up, so she won't be late. "U-Um, it's time to go to our n-next class." He stuttered.

Lightning heard the colt while levitating the books. He put them down on the table and walked to the two colts. He was now stand close to them. "U-um, could I help?" Lightning said, shyly. "I-i could levitate the music in front of you, so you could play while reading the music at the same time."

Lightning was concentrating on reading a spell on levitation magic. he looked to the stack of books he place beside himself and focused his magic. His horn starts to glow a light blow and so did the books. They begin to levitate in the air easily. Levitation magic was very easy for Lightning, since he's practice it many times.

Lightning walks to the study hall to study up on magic, ancient legends, and other mystical stuff. He walks through the door and finds a table to sit down at. He opens a book from his saddlebags and begins reading them.
