((Eeyup, thats fine, I just wanted to let you have a say in what happens to him))

It had taken some searching, but Madoka was eventually able to find an off grid Light Cycle. As she began to scan the vehicle, she noticed a glint of light just 50 feet away from the Cycle. A glint of pink light.

No, it can't be. This close to where I first entered?

She walked over to the spot that she saw the light. On the ground, directly in front of her, was a small fragment of her Soul Gem! She picked it up, and pulled out her ID Disk, bringing the two items close together, allowing the two fragments to merge together, powering up her disk. After reattaching the disk, Madoka felt a surge of energy as she shifted into her battle form. Her jumpsuit's colors reversed with the base color becoming pink and the circuitry lines becoming black. Her strength was also increased, now rivaling that of Applejack. Deciding to test her abilities, she focused on a rock and made a pushing motion towards it. The rock was violently thrown a good 100 feet. Next she attempted her elemental magic, concentrating on the rock bursting into flames. Of course, nothing happened; she still didn't have her horn. Reverting back into her normal form, Madoka went back to the Light Cycle and finished scanning it.
1283
It was at this point that a Neo-Soldier got past Twilight and Mage's defenses slashing at Flame.

((Flame, will you step on a black tile, or will you manage to get out of the way?))
1284
Madoka pulls her ID disk off and takes a look at the P-Mail. After scanning it for a bit, she returns it to its place on her flank.

"Alright, gotta find an off grid light cycle. Shouldn't be too hard"

ok forgot to say it this morning but today is my b-day.

Well, thats a nice surprise, happy B-Day, watch out for Pinkie Pie! ovO

Twilight watches as Flame picked up the key. Immediately, heartless began to swarm around the black unicorn. Both Neo-Soldiers and Hunterballs ((thats the heartless I invented thats a cross between a Hunter Metroid and a Darkball. Didn't get around to naming it before...)). Twilight, thinking quick on her feet, jumped to flames side and cast a reflect spell just before the heartless's attacks hit. The heartless were knocked back, a couple of them disintegrating into ash. Meanwhile, Celestia began charging her Solar Flare attack
Spoiler: show
Solar Flare
An attack of concentrated solar energy, able to either hit large groups, or focus on single enemies.
Attack: 99
MP Cost: All MP

It took a few seconds to charge, but once the attack was charged, Celestia let loose, burning all the remaining enemies to a cinder. Their victory was short lived, however, as more heartless quickly rose to take their place.

"Quickly, get the key to the pedestal, and what ever you do, don't step on any black tiles!"

((Not A post just making a comment. Hunter, I loved the intro post you have. BTW the code you have used is used to gain the data disks and other unlock able items you can get on the grid. Think of it like a personal pass code.))

((Thanks, I wasn't sure if I was stepping out of bounds with some of the things I was writing))

Madoka had been on the Grid for a couple days now, and was no closer to finding the rest of her Soul Gem. Upon  her entrance into the Grid, it had fractured into 12 pieces, with 11 of them scattering across the Grid. The single fragment that had been left behind limited her powers to its minimum, which is to say, she was only able to heal herself and cast a simple force spell. It was at that moment that the PA system flared to life with an announcement.

"[glow=silver,4,600]Hello Everypony and Program. This is Grid Admin Salia speaking. As you all are well aware. Today starts the first day of the 'Rule 'The Grid' Tournament'. I will be the main overseer for this tournament. The Hologram displays will show the faction's team captains and rules for the tournament. To join the tournament you just need to find and sign up with either captain. One restriction though. You can only sign up with a captain if you are a part of that faction. Faction ISO leader, Kevin Flynn, has already given the ruler ship codes for the grid over to me. I will be in charge of the grid for as long as the tournament goes on.[/glow]" says an Alicorn in a white jumpsuit with glowing gold stripes and a bar code like cutie mark covering her cutie mark. She also seams to be a class 10 user with a very high anti-viral defense.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Activation of the blank slate and leveling programs has been authorized. Also there are now safe zones for each faction all over the grid. If you happen to be defeated by any means you will be sent to one of these safe zones. The first event in this tournament is the Classical 'Light Cycle Challenge'! Talk to your faction's team captains if you wish to join or for more details about the event. During events the safe zones will be on lock down. Meaning if you are defeated, you will be stuck in the safe zone until the event is over and a winning team is decided. Also Once you sign up for the tournament, you must take part in all future events.[/glow]" she says in a way to get the programs and users of the grid excited about the upcoming tournament.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Everypony should have gotten or should be getting soon a Program Mail or P-Mail for short. In this mail may be one of a few things. One a mail from your team captain stating it is time for you to head to the area for a tournament event. Two a quest or mission that has very nice rewards from new items to upgrades and leveling codes. Plus other things. Three is a mail stating weather you have or have not been removed from future events based on actions you yourself are very well aware of. on this third one if there seams to have been an error send me a P-Mail and I will do my very best to figure out the misunderstanding and get things straitened out. For all of you users and programs that are coming onto The grid for the first time the P-Mail should be there as soon as you have either gotten your ID Disk or it has been registered.[/glow]" She continues explaining.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Now all that remains is for me to say have a fun time and remember 'Friendship is The Grid'. This is your Grid Admin Salia signing off.[/glow]" As she finishes speaking the screens that hava been playing the announcement start to show the rules and Faction's Team Captains, Tron [ISO] and Rinzler [BIOS].

After the announcement, Madoka quickly searched the room looking from Tron, she finally spotted him at the east corner of the room, right next to a white pillar of energy. She quickly walked over to him. [glow=purple,2,300]"Excuse me, Tron, but could you explain what I have to do?"[/glow]

Tron nodded, "Of course, I'm always happy to help a new User get acquainted with the system. The computer next to me has a slot just under the screen, and under that, a keypad. You should have an ID Card with you."

Madoka shook her head, [glow=purple,2,300]"I don't think I have one."[/glow]

"Didn't you have any personal items with you when you came onto the Grid?"

[glow=purple,2,300]"Only my Soul Gem."[/glow]

"Please pull it out for me."

Madoka shifted to her battle form, causing her Soul Gem to appear, clasped around her neck. She lifted it over her head and held it up for Tron to see. Tron leaned over, scrutinizing it from every angle.

"Just as I expected, your Soul Gem has the properties of an ID Card. Just place it in the slot."

Madoka nodded, placing the Gem into the slot. It promptly vanished with a flash of light.

"Now, you should have some sort of personal ID code as well. Just use the keypad to type it in."

Madoka tapped in her code, '7565', into the keypad. Another flash of light briefly blinded her, as her new ID Disk appeared in front of her:

Spoiler: show

Tron observed her as she picked up the disk and examined it, taking note that her Soul Gem was now powering the disk. "That disk will record everything you learn, and can be augmented with more fragments of your Soul Gem. However, the effects that your augmentations will not take effect until you sync your disk with yourself. To sync your disk, just attach it to the holder where your cutie mark would be."

Madoka looked at her flank, and for the first time noticed the strange bump, obviously meant for holding a disk where her cutie mark was supposed to be. She put the disk in place, and immediately felt the effects of the disk syncing with her. She felt a black, skin-tight suit stitch itself onto her body. Soft pink circuitry lights slowly illuminated on her suit. On her flank, her cutie mark became visible, though it was simply the circuitry lights tracing the silhouette of her cutie mark
Spoiler: show

Madoka noticed one other thing as her disk was syncing. Her battle form usually transformed her into an alicorn, this time however, she didn't. Once the disk finished syncing, she realized why. She hadn't transformed into her alicorn form because she only had a fragment of her Soul Gem.

With the sync complete, Tron gazed at the filly, reading her like a book. "You'll find the fragments of your Soul Gem as you proceed through the Grid. Maybe even some of the quests you're given will require you to find fragments." He pulled out a short, staff-like object, handing it to her. "Her's your vehicle staff, you'll be able to use it for all the vehicle related quests. That includes Light Cycles, and Light Jets. You'll need to visit the hanger to pilot anything bigger than a personal craft. Good luck."

With that, Tron activated the teleporter and left in a flash of light.

((I hope its alright to have two moves, since the way you set up the battle system is similar to how the Pokemon battle system is laid out...))

Twilight nods, and mutters a few incantations under her breath, casting spells of protection on the entire group, with the bulk of them on Flame.
1291
Celestia and Twilight both started searching the room as well.

"Found it!"

Twilight was standing in front of an enormous golden key with a red eye sigil painted on it.

"Theres a sign behind it. Nobody touch the key until I find out what it says."

The group all nod. Twilight walks to sign and reads aloud: "'Once you pick up this key, stay on the path of grey. Do not step on the black, or the Floorlord will make quick work of you.' OK, it looks straightforward. Anyone willing to take the key?"
1292
During Mage's examination, a sign materialized right next to the pedestal. Twilight ran over and read what was on it out loud.

"The route before you is blocked by strong magical lock. Only the Boss Key can break the lock and allow passage. Everyone, check the entire room, there should be some sort of key that can unlock this route. My guess is that it'll have some sort of symbol marking it as a 'Boss Key'."

((So, a few questions right now.
1. When do you think Shine will be able to come in?
2. Is there anything I can do right now?
3. When will Rain get out of the tower?))

((1) Shine will be able to come in during the Equestria re-visit, which should take place after Litwak's Arcade (I plan on having the group go to the following worlds in this order next: 1)Radiant Garden, 2) Space Paranoids, 3) The Grid and 4) Litwak's Arcade)
2) What you can do right now is become familiar with the next worlds
3) Rain will leave the tower as soon as the Forest Temple group returns to the tower. I plan to send him to retrieve force gems so that we can get to the sand temple))

hmm maybe we have to wait for the others to advance that or it's another kind of puzzle

A keyhole suddenly appeared on the wall just below the sign.

"Or, it could just be a hidden door."

Twilight raised her Keyblade towards the keyhole, a beam of light entering the lock. The wall glowed and dissolved to reveal the staircase going down. They went down into a spacious room with a large gold pedestal blocking a staircase. Twilight suddenly spotted Celestia and Mage emerging from the other side of the room.

"Princess!"

Mage was a little perplexed and confused at the same time.

"Um... okay... what are we supposed to do now?" queried Mage

Celestia simply raised her Keyblade towards the lock. A beam of light left her Keyblade and entered the lock, allowing the doors to swing open.

[glow=orange,2,300]"We go upstairs."[/glow]

Celestia and Mage went up the stairs and entered the room above.

"Princess!"

Celestia turned to see Twilight and Flame running up to greet them.

[glow=orange,2,300]"Ahh, it would seem that we are back together again."[/glow]

Twilight nodded "Yep, and we found where we need to go next, but its blocked by some sort of golden pedestal. Any ideas?"
1295
Oops, sorry  X3 I saw it and forgot about it. Its approved. Nice use of the Charmspeak by the way.

overload when I use up alot of it My voice turns to that.. he says his voice returning to normal anyways we should probably keep going right?

Twilight nodded "Yes, lets"

Together the duo began exploring the dungeon, taking down heartless as the made their way towards the opposite side of the room. Finally they came to a dead end.

"What gives? There's a sign saying we have to go down right here, but there's no stairs!

"Okay... if you say so..." remarked Mage.

Mage closed his eyes, and began to focus his mana into his horn. His thoughts turned to healing his allies. He focused his magic, and, pictured Princess Celestia in his mind as well. He released the magic.

"Curaga!!" shouted Mage, attempting to heal Princess Celestia.

"Well? Did it work? Do you feel better now?" asked Mage

[glow=orange,2,300]"Much, thank you Mage. Now, lets see where we need to go."[/glow]

The duo began searching the floor for the way to the next room. It took them a good hour, but they finally managed to scour the entire floor, finding a locked door blocking their path.

Quite some time ago I was possessed by Ansem A very powerful heartless of a very powerful man I was attacked by heartless and brought to him I already had a dark heart from what I had done he just took it over after I was freed he left some of his darkness in me I learned to control it though I still hear the darkness speak to me when I am alone

"If you learned to control it, then why do you still sound like you're going out of control?"

"Okay... if you say so Princess..." remarked Mage as he stood up and returned to a normal standing position. Mage continued speaking.

"I'd try using the spell... but... you look fine to me. You sure you need healing?" asked Mage

((I'd have Mage try out the spell, but, from what I can tell, Celestia is perfectly fine.  X3 ))

Celestia chuckled "looks can often be deceiving, Mage. You should know that better than anyone. In fact, those particular heartless have the ability to drain life energy from their victims."

((New heartless! Based off of the Hunter Metroids from Metroid Prime, these heartless resemble the Darkballs that appear throughout the KH games.  However, they three tentacles that allow it to siphon off the life force of their victims, making them easy targets for stealing hearts [I really don't like adding this heartless, mostly because I cringe at the ideas that might spawn from Sprint's Shadow's deranged mind, but also because I hated fighting those things in Metroid Prime. Hope you enjoy!])))
1298
Celestia looked down at Mage smiling.

[glow=orange,2,300]"Please stand Mage, no need to be so formal, especially since we're in an extremely dangerous, and as of yet, unexplored temple. As for that spell, I've known it for years. Just focus on the thought of healing your allies as you reach for your magic, when you're ready to release the spell, focus on the person you want to heal and shout 'curaga'. Go ahead and try it on me."[/glow]

((Ask and you shall recieve  :]))
1299
Twilight was chilled by Flame's cold, dark voice.

"Yeah, I'm still surprised it worked. Wanna tell me whats up with your voice?"
1300
Celestia walked through the tunnel, Keyblade in hand. The tunnel ahead of her was crawling with heartless. Without breaking her stride, Celestia slashed through each heartless that pounced on her. In this manner she made it to the stairs leading down. Celestia went down, not expecting to see the sight she saw before her; Mage sprawled on the floor exhausted. She ran to his side, raising her Keyblade.

[glow=orange,2,300]"Curaga!"[/glow]

A green glow suffused the downed unicorn, healing him of his injuries and replenishing his stamina.

***

Twilight walked through her own tunnel, taking advantage of the lack of enemies to cast some basic protection spells on herself, and casting a spell of her own invention. It allowed her to view the strengths and weaknesses of heartless and monsters, allowing her to formulate a plan of action against it. As soon as she finished casting these spells, the first wave of heartless appeared, blocking the stairs ahead of her. Twilight raised her Keyblade, quickly identifying them as Neo-Soldiers ((Neo-Soldiers are an invention of mine that look like the Hyrulian palace guards; all decked out in green with a pointed hat carrying both a pike and a sword)). She took not of their lack of elemental weaknesses and attacked the Neo-Soldiers, destroying them with a few slashes from her Keyblade. With the heartless destroyed, Twilight went up the stairs, which emerged into a large chamber. Immediately she spotted Flame emerging from a doorway directly to her right. He was limping, and not looking too good.

'I suppose now is as good a time as any to try this new spell.'

Twilight raised her Keyblade, calling "Curaga!"

Immediately, a green glow appeared on the limping unicorn, healing his many injuries and bringing new strength as well.
