Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't she "premiered" well before the actual "A Canterlot Wedding" took place?
(which leads to a quite a few questions itself  )


As well as being related to Cadance, at least in someway
(even if not officially, who else could she be related to, really? )


(and I suppose on the topic of her)
Honestly, if she even appears in any part of the show it doesn't really seem likely that she'll be a part of any sort of main plot unless they just pull a "kidnap the royal child" episode

Hmm, I can really share your disappointment here too.  I couldn't even open/unzip/extract the file in the first place, though I'm pretty sure that might be my own computer's fault because I don't have some software for unzipping stuff..  But I'm going to await the official download too.

For unzipping you just need something like WinRar, WinZip, or 7Zip (http://www.7-zip.org)

I use 7Zip as it's easier
When you download it you just need to right click -> 7-Zip -> Extract Here (or Extract Files... if you it somewhere specific)
Simple
