Lary stops upon hearing Teal, and turns his head towards him. "You have no idea what's out there, do you? I don't either, which is why I worry for you. There are many monstrous, hideous, ferocious, and hostile monsters out there, and such a desert could easily be home to such things. Why do you think the princess ordered for a medical department?" He turned away once more, but didn't move.

"As for you..." He was referring to Beta. "The combat team can explore just as well, and are less liable to get themselves hurt."

Lary held his head higher while looking down at them. A small part of his face could be seen. "Let me guess. You're part of the exploration team. I, quite frankly, do not see the point in such a team when the combat faction can do just the same."

He started to walk passed them. "I'll be seeing you in the medical department... as I know you will end up in sooner or later."

Lary slammed the door open. He was still wearing his trench coat and hood. His glowing yellow eyes were the only visible feature of his face under the dark hood. He took a small glance around him. "Somepony say... Desert expedition?"
