I was completely mesmerized by all the improvements since last Open Server.
Especially the most I was amazed by how the Everfree/Evershade Forest had changed.
I'm glad I have lately invested on proper gaming machine so I was able to enjoy everything in game at highest possible graphics at highest possible framerate.

As an extra, I have been lately thinking, to what degree does Twilight's and Element's magic power and magical potential count for compared to others.
I have watched few of the episodes + the movie.
Return of Harmony: At first part Twilight tries to use some unknown spell which should "fix everything". It seems flashy and has HUGE area of effect. However...nothing happens. I can only see this as "proto-type" for "time rewind" kind spell. Or time travel.
Later on 2nd part Twilight uses the Memory Restoration spell. This would be more compact version of the first spell.
Canterlot Wedding: Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, clearly has HUGE magic power since he kept the big barrier up by himself WHILE his powers were being drained by Chrysalis. Only at the end his powers were too weak since Chrysalis had drained almost all of his powers. And this had occured during the last whole week. Twilight clearly couldn't do as big barrier at that time. Seeing how she kinda vinced when doing the small barrier around his friends against Discord.
And at this time it was first time we saw Twilight's more concentrated magic: the Magic Beam.
in 3rd season's Magic Duel Trixie made that big barrier around Ponyville, which means it was around the size of an barrier seen in Wedding.
Now then...she has created a whole spell and became an Alicorn. It was said that no magic could be used in the Human World in Equestria Girls. However, Twilight was able to do so at the end because as she said at the end: "The powers residing inside my Element of Harmony". This means that together with becoming an Alicorn, Twilight got powers of other Elements as well and she is able to draw their power as long as there is an connection. In this case, the connection was the Human counterparts together with the open portal to Equestria.
She was able to defeat a corrupted Element mostly with her own power.
So I have come to an conclusion...The Crown/Tiara is NOT the Element of Magic. It's only a channeling vessel which she needed at first. It was kind of a magic wand. Now as an Alicorn she can tap partly to that power even without the crown.
But to use full power, it's still needed. Twilight herself IS the Element of Magic. But Twilight is bad with defensive spells...she always goes for attacking spells and supportive spells.
Remember Shining Armor's Cutiemark? Shield + the Magic Star of Element of Magic. And Shining Armor exceeds in the defensive apartment. My theory is that, at the time when Luna and Celestia lost connection to the Elements, and they became stone. The powers of them left and incarnated. However Magic, which was already split to 2 between Luna and Celestia, incarnated into 2: Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor.
Twilight Sparkle: Attack Mode
Shining Armor: Defense Mode
Cadance's Element of Love is basically already all the 5 other Elements combined. She never have used the actual Elements but she has acquired the power of 5 fused Elements: Honesty, Laughter, Kindness, Generosity and Loyalty, which all are important in Love. Element of Magic, contained in Shining Armor, completes the set and brings out the maximum power.
At the end of the Season 3, just before turning into Alicorn, I would say Twilight's power was equal to Shining Armor's.
After getting a boost up by turning into Alicorn, she would now be at the level of Cadance. Who also is pretty much defensive and supportive type seeing the Barrier she kept up for weeks or months in "The Crystal Empire" episode.
The Barrier can also be used as an offensive spell as seen in the Canterlot Wedding. (only touched Changelings and it spread out like the barrier)

I think the Alicorn Amulet boosts the wielder's magic powers to the level of an Alicorn such as Luna or Cadance.
So Trixie had a lot more magic power than Twilight had at the time. That is why Twilight had to resort to tricks.
The Amulet nullifies the need of knowledge and training for power increase and let's you cast powerful spells right away. Of course only the spells you know of. You can't use what you haven't learned unless the Amulet has some kind of "magic library" in it and it gives that knowledge to wielder. Which I doubt it has.
Also, the more accurate way to call the raw power on magic would be Arcane Power.
Alicorn Amulet increases wielder's Arcane Power thousand fold. But due to it's nature to "take over" the wielder, I would say it also increases Focus and Will but also most likely increases the "mana" usage which could drain all your power if you were to use it too much and the Amulet would be suddenly removed.

Oh, haven't read that so couldn't know. And Lauren indeed said that she saw them having born Alicorn but as far as I have found out, the writers had different opinion. I think it was Meghan McCarthy who said they would have been Unicorns originally.

I believe the inner raw power just makes her "power-up" faster. Because if magic gets stronger the more and the higher grade magic you use, someone with more power will naturally grow faster.
And indeed Focus is the 3rd trait. Because as we saw in the Twilight's Cutiemark story, she lost control due to breaking focus, making her inner powers go rampant.
Twilight kept using higher grade magic in almost every episode. So her powers kept increasing at fast rate.
The whole 3 seasons approximately took 1 year in their time. During this time Twilight grew up to be strong enough to turn into Alicorn.
Her huge inner raw power is what made it possible to grow on such rapid pace.
You don't need to have huge inner raw power.
Just normal unicorns would have to use YEARS to achieve the same. Twilight seemingly had about 100 times more power at start considering what she could do while she was a filly by having powers rampant.
And of course to turn into Alicorn, you need to also "fulfill your destiny" AKA do something which no one else could do.
For Celestia and Luna I believe this was defeating Discord. For Cadance...it might have something to do with Crystal Empire.

That could also be because there is only 4 Alicorns now that Twilight also became Alicorn.
As we know, the requirements to become Alicorn require some really big achievement.
For Celestia and Luna this most likely was defeating Discord. For Cadance it might have been something to do with Crystal Empire.

I'm going to start a new forum game.
It's called Roll to Dodge as it reads in title. Since we are on MLP forums, I'm going to have it as players being ponies.
1: You can only have 1 action/round
2: Round ends when everyone participating have posted their action.
3: The game won't start before it has 4 participants. Maximum 8.
4: You do not have any special powers by default. You have to learn them through actions. However there is few racial powers.
More info later in the post.
Simply reply to this topic if you want to participate.
After 1st Round has been posted, which contains the starting situation and all other information, you may post your actions.
Round ends after everyone has posted their actions. Then the next round will start along with the results of your actions.
Each participant has 24 hours to post their action.
I will post the round results each day around the same time.
I will roll a dice to determine the result on your action.
The results are as following:
1: Fail - negative result
2: Partial Fail - slightly negative result
3: Normal - Nothing negative and nothing positive happens
4: Partial Success - slightly positive result
5: Success - positive result
6: Critical Success - positive result + extra reward
Special results:
3 Fails in a row (3 rounds = 1 fail/round): Skip a round
3 Critical Success in a row (3 rounds = 1 CS/round): Your special powers level-up to be more effective or you learn new power depending of situation.

Considering MLP is western animation, it uses western standards.
Western magic has always been fueled by mana, which is then recovered through means of meditation or potions(medication).
Mana has been known as the power of mind, in other words emotions.
Calming down (meditation) refreshes your mind and recovers the exhaustion. Or you can take some medicine. (basically something which calms you down)
The more mana magic uses, the stronger exhaustion. As we know, extreme emotions such as anger or love can exhaust you a lot mentally.
So indeed the stronger emotion, the stronger magical power. But the more knowledge you have, the less exhaustion emotions give you, thus knowledge = power.
Also you gain knowledge through usage, so everytime Twilight used magic, her magic power increased. The harder spells he used, the more her power increased at once.
And indeed artistic creativity in western magic has been considered for you to have many different views on emotions, artistic people can express the emotions in the most vast way, multiple ones at once too.
So Rarity, whose magic can do many small things at once, is because of her artistic sense.
In western this could be considered as power of will as creating art can take long and you might have many fails but you have to have strong willpower to keep going and finish.
Alicorn's power consists of both. You need to have a lot knowledge and strong willpower to obtain highest rank of magic.
Creating a new spell needs both knowledge and willpower.
Knowledge = Power of Mind
Willpower = Power of Heart
By RPG standards this would mean:
Intelligence
Will/Charisma

Before I give my answer, let me ask:
What defines "Brony"/"Pegasister"? Are they just someone who simply likes the show. Or more of an fanatic: having some/lot's of merchandise, following many sites dedicated to the series and possibly going to Cons.
I for instance enjoy the show, the fanart, fanmusic and fangames. But I'm not fan enough to get the merchandise or choose the "Best Pony" or going to Conventions unless they have Anime & Manga too.
So personally I wouldn't call myself a "Brony" or "Pegasister" but rather a "Come-along" who is holding onto a rope behind the car and being dragged.
So in this way, I have never become a Brony/Pegasister.
I'm not a fan of the series but I do enjoy it.

Indeed, for now it might get a bit less busy but still, by my own experience, you should get at least 2-3 more people. If possible, from other time zones.
As the development goes further, you can get more one by one.
Even if moderating isn't "difficult" currently, few more moderators, especially from other time zones, will keep the spam lower and give you more efficient moderating.
Moderating doesn't have to be difficult for there to be reason for more moderation but for also making forum work more efficient.
it's kind of like: 1 moderator for each 1000- 2000 members. To make forum nice, clean and easy to navigate for everyone.
Of course, it's team's choice at the end but you should really give it a thought currently.

During the stresstest's problems I can understand but even then it was fairly easy to navigate and use the forums unless you happen to have lower grade connection.
For such reasons, you might want to consider to get few more moderators since this is growing community. It will become easier to moderate with more people.
You have currently almost 31'000 members registered and growing. And only probably 5 people actually moderating the forums. (from what I have seen from this few past days)
