Pretty much that, and I also hate the smell of red bull, the energy drink. It smells sickly sweet to me, almost to the point of smelling rotten to me, and yes, many things do smell sweet when rotten.

Fruit, for example. The way that it ferments tends to lead to a slightly sweet smell.

Huh, at least they put in the feature to where it won't just auto-restart. It'll still update against your will on a restart though. At least with pro you could delay it by day(s)/week(s).

I don't see how people like Windows 10 more than Windows 8.1(or at all), honestly. The only positive I found was that it looked good, nothing else. I was part of the Insider Program as well to help them make it good, but then it broke my computer because Microsoft can't make working backups, it seems.

Personally, one of my problems with Windows 8 was that I'm on a laptop, so occasionally, I would move my finger on the touchpad and it would bring up the side menu or go to the start screen, and I was like "AAAGH NO!!!"

I also like having a normal start menu again.

Have Windows 10? If so, you agreed to effectively them picking and choosing when to do updates, since it's not actually an OS to them(alongside a lot of unrelated major things). This is why I love Linux, I don't have to deal with that, and I get a superior, secure, and actual, OS!

Honestly, Windows will likely never again be used by me unless I have to for a job or assisting someone. It's angered me too much, and it's too far gone to be an OS I could ever trust with anything ever again.

Yes, I have Windows 10.
I found the settings and changed it to where it has to ask me permission to restart for the updates.

I hated Windows 8, so I figured I might as well get Windows 10 while it's still free. I do actually like Windows 10 more than Windows 8, though.

TBH, I never would have guessed Ren and Blake's ones.
One thing I noticed in the intro though; when it showed the picture of Qrow, there was a lady in a robe who looked a little sick/frail. Now, I don't really keep up with RWBY news, so this is probably old/known already, but I assume that's Ruby's mum?

Yeah, that's Summer Rose, Ruby's mother. In the Volume 1 opening, you see Ruby kneeling in front of the headstone marked "Summer Rose, Thus Kindly I Scatter" and a ghostly figure wearing a white cloak is standing on the other side of it. (I say ghostly because her legs fade into nothingness. :I)

Uuugh, Microsoft! I was in the middle of something, and then I had to walk away to cook some oatmeal for my mom, and when I came back, my laptop was restarting and applying updates! >:( Did I give it permission to restart?! NO! It just did it on its own! Time to find the update settings and change it.

Oh, and speaking of oatmeal, I'm still a little irritated at how quickly my mom goes through butter knives, spoons, and bowls! And she refuses to just quickly clean them off when she's done! So my dad and I are the ones who will have to keep an eye out for freshly used bowls, spoons, and butter knives, and clean them off ourselves, so we don't have to later when she wants cereal, oatmeal, toast, or needs to spread her icing on her toaster strudels!

So, people are discussing the sneak peek for RWBY Volume 3 Episode 3, and someone suggested the same thing I'm thinking, that Winter Schnee might allude to the Snow Queen, and this other person comes in and says that the RWBY crew said the character models resembling fairy tale characters is a coincidence.
....
......
..........
Where in the world did you get that from?! o.O Because I can tell you right now, they never said that. The only thing they said regarding the characters and their classic story allusions is that they won't follow the same story as who they allude to. That, and they're not based on them, but they allude to/reference them.

The classic story character allusions are 100% intentional, and I don't see how this person could even think or believe that it's all purely coincidence considering the staggering amount of characters whose allusions are blatantly obvious.

- Ruby Rose - Little Red Riding Hood. She wears a red hooded cape, the Red Trailer featured her facing wolf-like Grimm, and Monty even outright called her Little Red Riding Hood, saying that, in the beginning of planning for RWBY, he fell in love with the idea of Little Red Riding Hood carrying a giant scythe.
- Weiss Schnee - Snow White. If you translate her name literally, it means White Snow (it's not proper German grammar, but eh, there's no Germany in Remnant). The White Trailer featured the song Mirror Mirror, which heavily references Snow White ("Mirror, tell me something. Tell me, who's the loneliest of all?"). Monty said the pendant on her necklace is an apple. Her family's company mines for Dust, which comes in the form of crystals (like how the dwarves were gem miners).
- Blake Belladonna - Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. Not quite so much to say here, though one really substantial thing is that, in the Volume 1 Director's Commentary, Miles stated the reason they gave her a candelabra was because they wanted to try to surround her with "Belle things." Also, she loves to read books.
- Yang Xiao Long - Goldilocks. Monty even referred to her as Goldilocks many times. There's a lot of emphasis on her long, messy golden-blonde hair. The Yellow Trailer features her in a club owned by Junior, whose real name is Hei Xiong. Hei Xiong translates to Black Bear. A black bear nicknamed Junior - he's the baby bear. She starts a ruckus and pretty much ruins Junior's club. The DJ was even wearing a bear mask. Some say that the twins, Melanie and Miltia, are kinda like the hot and cold porridge, with their color schemes.
But wait, there's more!
Spoiler: List • show
- Jaune Arc - Joan of Arc. Does this even need explaining?
- Nora Valkyrie - Thor. She wields a giant hammer, her symbol is a hammer with a lightning bolt through it, she has a whole electricity thing going on (especially in Volume 3, wow).
- Pyrrha Nikos - Achilles. Her nickname is "The invincible girl" because she's a tournament champion who everyone believes is untouchable. Achilles once disguised himself as a red-haired woman named Pyrrha.
- Lie Ren - Mulan.
(Team JNPR's theme is "People who dressed as the opposite gender in their story." We all know Joan was dressed like a man and Mulan had to disguise herself as a man. Thor once had to disguise himself as the goddess Freyja, to steal back his hammer Mjolnir. And I mentioned what Achilles did, above.)
- Cardin Winchester - Henry Beaufort, the Cardinal of Winchester. There was even a small arc in Volume 1 where he was bullying Jaune. At one point during that arc, he sends Jaune a voice message on his scroll (hologram tablet), and it says that his ID is 1374-BEAUFORT.
- Velvet Scarlatina - The Velveteen Rabbit. She's a rabbit Faunus (she has rabbit ears), her name is Velvet, and Scarlatina is another name for scarlet fever, which is the illness that the boy in the storybook comes down with.
- Ozpin - The Wizard of Oz. The initials for the wizard's full name spells out OZPINHEAD, and Ozpin is the headmaster of Beacon. Hohoho.
- Glynda Goodwitch - Glenda the Good Witch. Yeah... that one's... pretty obvious.
- Peter Port - Peter and the Wolf. His name is Peter, and the first story he babbles on about to his students in Volume 1 is about how, when he was younger, he captured a Beowolf (wolf-like Grimm), took it to his village, and was hailed as a hero.
- Bartholomew Oobleck - Bartholomew and the Oobleck. Yep, another obvious one.
- Cinder Fall - Cinderella. Yes, villains can allude to protagonist characters. She wears glass heels, and her symbol is a pair of high heels put sole-to-sole so that the empty space between them forms a heart. There's also the fact that her name is Cinder.
- Roman Torchwick - Romeo Lampwick/Candlewick (different versions switch between those two last names), from Pinocchio. Lampwick is the boy who convinces Pinocchio to participate in all the bad stuff when they get to Pleasure Island.
- Mercury Black - Mercury, the Roman god, whose Greek counterpart is Hermes. There's his name, and there's also the fact that his symbol is a winged boot.
- Adam Taurus - Beast, from Beauty and the Beast.
- Penny - Pinocchio. Once you get to know her, it's pretty obvious. Not to mention one of her lines in Volume 2 was very Pinocchio.
- Sun Wukong - Sun Wukong, from Journey to the West. He wields a staff, he has a monkey tail, his Semblance (special ability) is that he produces clones (the original Wukong could create clones of himself from his hair). The original Wukong has the ability to see through disguises and illusions, and Sun has actually seen through one character's disguise.
- Scarlet David - Peter Pan, specifically from the sequel novel Peter Pan in Scarlet. In that novel, Peter Pan has taken Captain Hook's place, pretty much becoming the new Captain Hook. Scarlet has a pirate theme going on, and he does a Peter Pan type pose after being thrown in the air in the episode he first truly makes an appearance in. His last name, David, is a reference to the fact that Peter Pan is based on the author's brother, David.
- Sage Ayana - Aesop, according to Monty. One of Aesop's fables, according to Miles and Kerry.
- Neptune Vasilias - Neptune, the Roman god, whose Greek counterpart is Poseidon. His weapon transforms into a trident! His symbol is the head of a trident in a shield (it's located on the tongues of his shoes). Vasilias means "leader, prince, king, or emperor," and Neptune/Poseidon is known as the King of the Sea.
- Qrow Branwen and Raven Branwen - It's possible that these two allude to Bran the Blessed and Branwen, respectively. In Welsh, Branwen means "blessed white raven/crow." Branwen is the sister of Bran the Blessed, and it seems that Qrow and Raven are siblings.

And that's just the characters whose allusions we know or are pretty certain about!

My cat Callie apparently still has something against my computer speakers. She just did something she hasn't done in a while: Got under the desk, stood on her hind legs, put her paws on the wall, and then dragged her paws down. When she does that, she pulls the speakers wire, which pulls the speakers off the desk. :l They're actually a little messed up now from her repeatedly doing that.

Apparently, there are people who think cube-shaped watermelons are genetically modified.

No, guys, cube-shaped watermelons are not the product of GMOs. You don't actually need to breed them specially to make them grow into a cube shape.

All you need is a plastic box.

That's literally it. A plastic box. You put it around the watermelon bud, and since the watermelon can't grow past the sides of the box, it fills up the shape of the box, thus ending up cube-shaped.

That's also how Disney World gets their Mickey Mouse head pumpkins. They put a plastic container shaped like Mickey's head around a pumpkin bud.

Stop telling little girls "He's mean to you/he hit you because he likes you/has a crush on you"! :l

Yeah, I understand that boys can be rowdy and rough, but when you like someone, you treat them right. And little boys should learn that most little girls can't match that rowdiness and can't handle it as well as they can. Some girls can, but a lot can't or don't want to.

Either way, the big point here is: Stop teaching little girls that a boy shows that he likes or loves her by being mean and hitting her!!

It's stupid, weird, and wrong, and I don't understand how it got started! It may seem "innocent" at a young age, but when you think about it when they're older, it changes. Why must it be any different when they're kids? At what point do you tell boys "Don't hit girls" and tell girls "It's wrong for him to hit you"? You should always tell them that, from the beginning.

I'm just glad that I knew enough not to believe that stuff by the time someone said it to me for the first time. I was at daycare, and a boy hit me in the mouth and knocked out one of my loose teeth. I was told that he hit me because he likes me, and I remember thinking "That doesn't make sense."

And you know what? It really doesn't make sense.

When people jump to conclusions and just assume the worst of someone based on little to nothing.
Like, with the RWBY volume 3 episode 3 sneak peek, I've seen a couple of people make horrible, rude assumptions about Weiss. :l
Spoiler: Spoilers • show
The sneak peek starts out with Weiss running to the Beacon airship docks where her sister, Winter's, airship has landed. She calls out to Winter, who turns around. Cut to Winter saying "So, this is the leader you wrote of. How appropriately... underwhelming."

From this, some people just assume that Weiss has been talking badly about Ruby to her sister, which they're really angry about because of the arc in volume 1 where Weiss came to terms with the fact that Ruby is leader of the team instead of her. So, they think that Weiss still actually does not accept Ruby as her leader and thinks poorly of her.
...
Really? Seriously? That's just it, though, we had a little arc that was all about her getting over the fact that she's not leader and coming to accept Ruby as her leader. We went from Weiss screaming "Stop telling me what to do!" to Weiss and Ruby just having to look at each other, smile, and nod, for Weiss to know what to do for the team.

I'm pretty certain she's not talking badly about Ruby, to her sister.
I think her sister is just a disapproving, cold jerk who decided to feel that way on her own.

Okay, so it turns out that the virus was actually two random extensions that somehow got added to Firefox. They both had weird names, and I removed them, and everything seems to be back to normal. But still, really annoying that that somehow happened. I did a full system scan, and there are no viruses. *Sigh* Ugh. Curse the creators of computer viruses!

Quite a while back, I made a RWBY Volume 3 Bingo board for people in the RWBY fandom to use. I even made the FREE spot where the letters are colored red, off-white, black, and yellow.

I just saw one that someone filled out, and it made me feel so happy that someone used it! ^-^

While I am disappointed that we won't be getting the KH3 trailer that was shown at Japan's D23 con any time soon, I'm really happy to hear about other stuff that was shown there! :3

Things that stood out the most to me:
Spoiler: KH3 info • show
The newly revealed attraction flow (they made a screenshot of it public) is apparently Buzz Lightyear themed. I really, really hope this means that they're allowed to use Pixar movies now, and that we'll finally have Pixar worlds!! If we are getting Pixar worlds, one of them will most likely be Toy Story, since Square Enix wanted to have a Toy Story world in KH1 and tried to make Toy Story summons for another KH game!

They showed a new type of Nobody, which someone drew a picture of! It carries a scythe, like Marluxia. This is really, really important to me because I was so scared that there wouldn't be any Nobodies in KH3!! All they were showing was Heartless! I was afraid KH3 was going to act like Nobodies aren't even a thing! I would've been really disappointed about that because I love the Nobodies a lot, and I feel like we didn't get to encounter them enough in KH2.

We're going to Daybreak Town, the main hub world from Kingdom Hearts X!!! YAYYYY! :D I haven't even played KHX yet, but I'm excited about that because I've seen screenshots of Daybreak Town from KHX, and it's a really pretty town!!

And, more hinting that A Fragmentary Passage, in 2.8, really will be a brand new story.

I'm toootally getting 2.8. Well... I'm getting 1.5 and 2.5 too, but... y'know. I mean, why not? I'll have the whole collection, and it'll all be on console. :3

I'm so tired of being tired, I get decent sleep, but every day just drains me more than I can replace.. I'm so glad Thanksgiving break is so soon..

I've been really tired lately, too. :c No matter how much sleep I get.
Yesterday morning, I felt a little bit tired, just a tiny bit, so I decided to lay down on the couch for a nap. I woke up late last night. :s Oops. I had slept for... at least 14 hours. I swear, I did not feel tired enough to sleep that long!

My mom knew I was lying down for just a nap, but she didn't wake me up because she fell asleep after taking care of my father until he fell asleep, due to him having a nasty stomach virus.

Speaking of which, I've been exposed to that virus! DD: You know how you'll always kiss family members like it's no big deal? Well, on top of that, he was experimenting with mixing tea with other drinks, and he wanted me to try one of the mixtures he'd made that he had started drinking, so... I did. I drank after him! :I How long until I start throwing up?! I don't know! Will I actually come down with the virus?! I don't know!

I just watched a clip where a couple of newscasters from FOX News just flat out ask why people are so crazy about Star Wars and gang up on/talk over the one guy they actually dragged in to explain it to them.  While that kind of ignorance of a fandom is irritating on its own I wouldn't feel spurred to post about it here; however, there was one quote that sent me over. (paraphrased) "I think it's overrated but also it's over-saturated: it's in Halloween costumes, it's on Monday Night Football and is so big because freaks go online 2 months in advance and ruin the experience for normal movie watchers..."

First point: Fine, you can think a movie series is overrated.  That's no reason to bash it: I find football (and all sports really) to be overrated, you have any idea how annoying it is to see EVERYWHERE I go?

Buying tickets 2 months in advance: how early do people buy Superbowl tickets?  (Actual serious question, I'm curious)  It's a big event that you can just sit in your own home, be far more comfortable and enjoy it just as well.  Sure movies can be shown again, but it's the opening event, being the ones there first to see it "in person".

Calling fans "Freaks": people passionate about something?  Yeah, I think everyone here would know how this one is bonk.  BTW I can apply that just as well to football fanatics, keep that in mind.

"Normal" movie watchers: Using the phrase "normal" bugs me in contexts like this.  To me it implies that something is wrong with the other party, the "not normal" one.  Who defines said normalcy exactly?

...dear Luna I should be sleeping.  This might make no sense in 8+ hours even to me.  Guess we'll have to see.

I hate when news people bring in an expert about a subject and then ignore that expert. Why bring them in, in the first place, if you're just going to talk over them, ignore them, and yell at them about your opinion? It makes as much sense as the fact that IGN apparently has employees who play the Kingdom Hearts games, but they only ever choose employees who know nothing about Kingdom Hearts to do reports on it.

Also
Walmart: It's football season, so we stacked these soda boxes into a giant football-related shape!
Producers of foodstuffs: It's football season, so we've printed football-related imagery onto our packaging!
Coca Cola: It's football season, so every single can in this box of Cokes has a picture of a football on it!
Certain TV channels: Football ran overtime, so your show is starting late, and unless you set your cable to record an extra 30 minutes of your show, you're only gonna get half or none of your show.
Commercials: FOOTBALL

:/ I don't care about sports, but I don't go around saying "Ugh, everything is oversaturated with football. What freaks. They ruin everything for normal people."

Oh yeah, and in relation to the "Passionate fans are apparently freaks" thing...
Football fans: *Buy expensive tickets to the game, paint their face, buy a jersey, buy a hat, maybe even buy one of those foam fingers*
Football fans who're way too into it: *Screams insults at fans of the competing team*
And sometimes sports fans are like: *Their team lost. RIOT*

Wasn't there a World of Remnant video about dust?
Also I think there are several RWBY name generators out.

Yeah, but that World of Remnant only talked about the basic nature of Dust. I'm still waiting for them to confirm what each color we've seen actually does. All we can do right now is guess and speculate.

Like, it seems...
Spoiler: RWBY spoilers • show
Red = Fire
Dark blue = Ice
Yellow = Lightning
^ (Those three, judging by the scene where Ruby sneezes on red, dark blue, and yellow Dust, and it made fire, ice, and lightning. Also the red Dust crystal in episode 1 being called "Burn" and the yellow-ish Dust crystal in World of Remnant: Dust being used to summon lightning. That, and in volume 1, Weiss' rapier glowed red when she used it to cast fire... and accidentally burned a tree. Blake made a fire clone, and she had red Dust when she did it.)
The artist for World of Remnant: Dust actually said that green is wind, so at least we know that for certain.
Orange = Lava, maybe? Cinder's clothes glow orange, especially her stealth suit. I think some of the glass Ruby mentioned was obsidian, which Cinder must have used the lava Dust to form.
Light blue = That light blue shockwave energy shield thing that Neo (for a split second in Painting the Town) and Weiss (used her rapier to draw a circle for it in No Brakes) have made, as well as the shield that keeps people from flying into the crowd in the arena.
Purple = Darkness? In No Brakes, one of Blake's clones had a black and purple effect, but that's the only time her clone has every had that effect. Usually, they blur out. That one time that a Beowolf jumped through a clone, there was white and light purple. So, I think this was Dust. She made it right in front of Roman's eyes, probably so he couldn't see where she went and what she was doing next.
White = Earth (the rock clone Blake made). The only thing really suggesting this is process of elimination. Blake had white Dust, and all the other colors she had have evidence pointing toward other things for their effects.

I wish they would just tell us for sure, instead of leaving us wondering.

I really wonder what the other World of Remnant videos we're getting this volume will be about. Maybe one of them will tell us the color coding. I can't really imagine what else they could be planning to tell us about, except maybe some of the history of Remnant. Actually, that's probably what we're gonna get, given the theme of what seems to be about to happen by the end of (or maybe actually at the end of) the volume.

Either way, if the WoR videos this time around are as informative as the one about the Vytal Festival Tournament, I can't wait to see them! :D

Everytime i play Kingdom Hearts 1 on the ps3 remix i feel like the game lost its difficulty since the ps2's first release of the game and that it has skipped a few things, like when you go to Atlantis i recall singing and dancing with Ariel but on the Remix on Ps3 there is none of that, recently i reached the part where you meet beast, the long journey using the wooden sword that i recall is no longer LONG and Riku seems to be easy to beat now but i could be totally wrong given i haven't played the ps2 one in a VERY long time and my disc for the ps2 was broken

Singing and dancing with Ariel in Atlantis is in Kingdom Hearts 2.
And I'm guessing you first played KH1 when you were a lot younger. Games are harder for young kids.

Ever heard of "Looks good on paper, will forever be horrid in execution"?

Honestly speaking, the idea, the concept, it was all there, it was something to be excited about. Higher standards, proper preparation, etc.. Then, upon execution, we learned why these types of standards should never exist, because the "guidelines" force the teachers to not be able to do anything for the students, including aiding in their true learning. Alongside that, the focus is on tests, instead of learning and understanding their stupid new concepts and the like that they so highly praise.

Like their incredibly stupid, long, roundabout way of teaching kids math?
In order to solve one simple straight-forward equation, they expect kids to create and solve four other equations to get their answer.
