Am I also the only one who noticed a few of the villains looked a little off at points? When Sombra appears, half the time it looks like he's just staring at the camera, and Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon's heads were kinda oddly shaped.
Also, I do feel the ending was a little hasty to reform Starlight and make her a friend. You don't just become besties with someone who almost wreaked the freaking timeline. I can definitely say that if I was there, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to be friends with her.
Also I probably would have tried to headbutt her every time she messed up the future.

I'm honestly surprised at how much people seem to speculate that Starlight is going to become a part of the main cast. To me it looked more like they were keeping her around because she was too dangerous to trust off on her own.

We'll probably get appearances in later seasons, but I don't see her becoming a prominent character.

Right now though I think the ponies just want to keep an eye on her until they're sure she can be trusted not to have a relapse.

I loved the alternate timelines though. Makes you wonder just how things changed over the years just based on how very different each event in Cloudsdale was.

I'm actually more interested in the Nightmare Moon timeline than I am the Sombra timeline though. The transition of rulers couldn't have been that unpleasant seeing as there wasn't the same kind of strife in many of the other timelines. Plus Twilight's alternate friends didn't seem to have any issue serving Nightmare Moon.

As for the whole eternal night killing off all life. I think what may have happened was that Nightmare Moon has strong enough magic to move the sun like Celestia (Celestia was only able to beat her with the Elements after all). My guess is that she keeps the sun up in the daytime long enough to make sure everything doesn't die off.

Also, did anyone else notice the moon was shaded in the colors of Celestia's mane? 

Out of all the timelines though I think the one with Chrysalis may have been the darkest second only to the Wasteland one. If only because they made it seem like Zecora's village was the last remaining holdout able to fight back against the changelings which means they'd pretty much absorbed all of Equestria by that point.

I also found it interesting how they chose Applejack to be Chrysalis' disguise. Hiding deception behind the face of honesty. Of course since AJ, Rainbow and Rarity were all changelings I can assume nothing good happened to those three in that timeline.

As for the Wasteland timeline though, I think that may have actually been the timeline where Starlight managed to take over Equestria like she had planned.

Without the specialized talents of the three pony races I can imagine their carefully balanced ecosystem collapsing without the care they give it.

Spoiler: Another Interesting Thought • show

In all of the timelines none of the other villains managed to regain power, so while the world was still in turmoil the other villains still managed to get defeated.

Either because they joined up with the victorious villain of that timeline, or because Equestria was still able to find a way to defeat them.

I'll use Sombra's timeline as an example.

Only Celestia was there to fight back against Sombra's forces which means Luna was either rebanished or destroyed, same with Discord unless the war put a damper on his fun. The Changelings were probably wiped out. Of course since the timelines were all present-day that also means that Tirek was also dealt with in some fashion.

Equestria's technology did seem to be a bit more advanced in that timeline than the others so the lack of Elements and the war with Sombra probably pushed them to develop a technological advantage.

Remember what Nightmare Moon said, though? No pony was allowed to have more powerful magic than her. The reason she was so successful and didn't have a resistance against her is because she stamped out any possibility of anypony rebelling against her by making it to where nopony had enough power to defeat her.

Well, in real life, in times of large wars, technology makes huge leaps to meet the needs of the warring sides. Not just technology for tools of combat, but also for medicine and medical procedures, as well as ways of more efficiently producing what the people need.

Did anyone else see the Honey Lemon (Big Hero 6) pony at Twilight's lecture?

Hrm. So, out of the villains... Sombra was waging an all out full-on war, Chrysalis was tracking down and fighting rebels, Discord and Nightmare Moon had total control of Equestria, and Tirek was destroying things.

This was a really interesting finale. It was neat seeing all the What If's. Starlight's redemption probably would've been better if Twilight had found her friend and reunited them, but eh.

The RWBY wiki admins have been posting and highlighting forum threads reminding people of the Spoiler Policy.
Only people with an account will get a notification of this highlight, so I understand anons still violating the policy every once in a while.
But when users do it... Seriously?! There's a highlighted thread titled "Reminder on Spoiler Policy"! Don't complain when you get banned for 2 hours!

Apparently, the entire reason some of my shows haven't been recording is because my stupid cable provider keeps flagging new episodes as "re-runs"!! So, guess what?! It didn't record the MLP season 5 finale!!!

I am so sick of it not recording new episodes of my shows!!

It records my mom's shows just fine! But nooo, they wanna be stupid when it comes to cartoons!

You know what I hate in video games?

Well, for one, artificial difficulty. It's just lazy. I don't want any of this "There's a time limit on every single mission, and in this particular part, you have a time limit and have to hit a very small, very specific, exact spot while standing in this location without getting hit by the enemy even once, or else you have to start the entire area over from the beginning" stuff. If you have to start stacking up conditions against me just to make it difficult, you need to rethink that part... or the entire game, in some cases. That, and situations where items are significantly, exponentially more powerful in the enemy's hands than in yours. No, just no. If you can defeat me by hitting me once with something, but I have to hit you 3 times with the same thing to defeat you, there's something seriously wrong here. I have a specially crafted suit of heavy duty, futuristic super armor that has all kinds of amazing high tech bells and whistles, and it weighs like a ton and augments my strength immensely, not to mention that I went through special training for years! I realize you are an alien, but I am a super soldier with armor to match!! Can we please make things at least logically fair on Normal mode?!!

For two... "The fanbase wants the game to be challenging, so we're going to make the sequel really, really hard, even on the Easy setting!!" I get it when a game does that because the series' entire gimmick is "Challenging game," such as with Dark Souls. But when a regular game does that, it annoys me. They're alienating the part of their audience that plays games for fun and/or to enjoy the story and doesn't like when it's super challenging. Instead of catering solely to the "Video games are horrible if they aren't super challenging" group, how about you make it open for both groups? Have normal be... y'know... normal and have there be an "Insane" difficulty for the "It's not good if it's not challenging" people.

And don't listen to those people when they go "UGH I can't believe Normal and Easy are SO EASY, this is awful, they're catering to the wimpy stupid casuals who don't have a right to call themselves gamers, this game SUCKS, I play it on Insane mode because it's actually challenging that way, and I HATE that Normal and Easy are SOOOO easy, HOW DARE THEY" Those guys are elitist jerks who don't have the common sense to realize "It's optional and it's not hurting anyone, so I won't use it and won't care about it." You don't see me complaining about there being Insane/Critical modes, when I prefer to play Normal and actually not have to worry about rage quitting every single mission because it haaad to be super challenging.

"Well, don't play the games that are like that." And what if a series that I enjoy comes out with a sequel that's like that? Am I to abandon a series I enjoy just because some elitist jerks corrupted it? I don't want to have to go "The story for this new game seems really interesting, and I like the mechanics they put in. Oh, but it's made only for people who love a challenge..." I shouldn't have to be shut out of a potentially interesting game with cool mechanics just because I'm not one of those people who prefers when a game is infuriatingly difficult!! This is what difficulty options are for, developers!!

Didn't expect this to turn into a rant, but it did.

Man, Volume 3's World of Remnant videos are absolutely beautiful! I love the particle-y capes and scarves and the way they wave! For such a simple 2D animation, it looks fantastic.

Edit: Decided to change my laptop's lock screen, too. It is now also something from RWBY, this time from an actual episode - Volume 3 Episode 1!

On a similar note, I dislike when others mistake politeness for kindness.
I will be polite to anyone, but kindness isn't something I give out freely.

I dislike when someone mistakes politeness for flirting. It happens a lot.

For example, if a waitress is serving a couple, it's advisable for her to mainly focus on the woman in the couple and only smile at the woman. Some women refuse to leave a tip for a waitress because they think the waitress is flirting with their boyfriend or husband just because she's being polite like she's supposed to.

Sometimes when a woman is being polite and smiling while on the job (whatever that job may be), a customer might think she's flirting and try to come onto her and may end up angry when she doesn't accept or want to go out on any dates.

People talk about how rehabilitation in prison is pointless because criminals are just bad people who don't want to better themselves. They point to our insanely high re-incarceration rate as proof. (Like 50%)

Here's an idea - how about paying them more for the work they do in prison? Most prisoners only make like 15 CENT an hour. About 5 bucks a week on a good week. And they have to use that to pay for their necessities like toothpaste, razors, shampoo, ect. (The prison provides 3 hots and cot, they're on their own for everything else.) What little is left over is usually blown on snacks, ramen, and the like.

So when people get out of prison they're just put out on the street with $20 to their name if their lucky with little to no safety net and then we wonder why they end up back in jail. Shockingly enough when people have no way to support themselves they have little choice but to turn back to crime to survive. It's incredibly hard for them to get a job because many employers simply won't hire ex-cons. And a lot of them were disowned by their families so they can't go home. What are they supposed to do? Starve?

Most people in prison are not evil, they're normal people who've only made a mistake. Until people realize that and start treating them as such our prison population isn't going to go down.

My dad spent 3 years state pen and when he got out he showed my nephew how to make the 'prison casserole' that him and several of his buds made each week out of ramen noodles, hot dogs, and cheese. He said it tasted good, but it just shows how destitute the prisoners are. When you are 4 buddies all have to pool your resources to eat top ramen you know you're living on the edge.

Around here, family members can put money into an account for the inmate to use to get supplies from the prison's store, such as snacks, coffee, fans, radios, paper, pens, and stamps, but a lot of inmates' accounts are left empty for various reasons, such as their families abandoning them or just plain being unable to afford it.

Those inmates end up having to resort to doing favors for other inmates (Drawing pictures for them, doing their laundry, etc) in order to get what they need, if they can't afford it the normal way. Funny enough, inmates also use a barter system, often using pastries as currency. No, I'm not kidding. Pastries are currency. They're delicious, and the inmates are willing to work out a way to get their hands on them.

Fans are very important to inmates here, since summer in Texas can be really harsh. Though, they only have access to small, cheap fans, but it helps.

And yeah, they need a lot of support once they get out, since
1. Like you said, a lot of places don't want to hire ex-cons.
2. The moment they get out, they don't really have anything on them.
3. Culture shock. The longer they were locked up in that box separate from society, the worse it is, especially now-a days where technology progresses at a rapid pace. They're not used to all this new stuff and how technology and their home towns have changed over the years.
4. Right after they get out, they need time to get to acclimate. They're used to living in a place where someone tells them what to do, what they can and can't do, and when they can do it. They're used to living on a strict schedule with very few options on what they get to do. (Also, funny: They're used to living someplace where they don't have to open and close doors or turn lights on or off, so they're liable to just not close doors or interact with lights when they first get out.) Part of their acclimation process includes getting used to the absolutely overwhelming amount of options and possibilities that they have.
Basically: Freedom is overwhelming to them and overloads their senses. It's not uncommon for them to wander from thing to thing, unsure of what they want to do and unable to focus on any one thing.

Oh my God, I was just given a heart attack. I just came home from work at 1:30 AM and notice the gate was wide open for some reason. When I got out of my car and looked across from where I parked there was a person in a black hoodie hiding behind a car just starting toward me. That freaked me out but I turned away and just started walking. As I walked toward my apartment I heard footsteps coming up behind me. I didn't run or look back, just kept walking, and when I got into the well-lit hallway it sounded like they ran away.

Please, God, tell me they weren't about to attack me. That scared the everloving heck out of me. I called the cops to report it, naturally. Part of me is waiting to get a creepypasta-esque call from the police about how they caught a convicted killer stalking about investigating the call.

Eesh. Reminds me of how there's a criminal who's been hanging around our general area for a pretty long while now. They seem to make rounds at night, checking porches and patios for things to steal, checking to see if car doors are unlocked so they can still from the car. Both times my mom forgot to lock her car, someone stole a ton of stuff from it.

I'm pretty sure, whoever it is, it's the same person who followed my friend one night. Sometimes her anxiety causes her to need to go for a jog, and it happened to her one night, so she went out for a quick jog around her neighborhood. Next thing she knew there was someone following her. She said it looked like a white guy wearing a hoodie. She got really scared because he kept following her, so she ended up turning around, putting her fist up, and shouting at him to go away, and it actually worked. He ran. Not surprising, though. She can be very loud, and she can sound very aggressive.

I just wish we had a better description than "white guy in a hoodie" so we could get him arrested and no longer have to worry about some jerk stealing everything he can find every night.

Um, excuse me?!! You must not have watched the Black Trailer! The first awesome male character in RWBY is Adam Taurus! People complained that he outshines Blake (who's one of the female main characters) in the Black Trailer! Yeah, that giant robot that she did absolutely no damage to in that trailer? He obliterated it in one move.

Don't you dare say that Qrow is the first awesome male character.

Other male characters are great, too! Ren, against the two-headed snake Grimm (King Taijitu)! Sun at the end of Volume 1!

Keep in mind that the only reason Sun was useless in Volume 2 was because the rig for his nunchucks was messed up, and they couldn't properly animate him using them. They originally planned for him and Neptune to actually stick around when Team RWBY faced the mech. In the director's commentary, they said that Ruby was originally going to explain Yang's Semblance to Neptune during that episode.

I see McDonald's has adopted a new "25 seconds or less" guarantee at the drive thru.

Look, I realize it's called fast food but come on, McDonald's workers are not paid enough to have that kind of pressure put on them. I'd gladly wait longer that 25 seconds if I knew I wasn't giving someone a stomach ulcer.

That, and imagine all the people going back and screaming at the employees for messing up their order, when the employees only had 25 seconds.

When someone doesn't read something and it leads to them making a rude assumption.

So, during the Rooster Teeth Extra Life livestream, Rooster Teeth showed a sneak peek video of RWBY Volume 3 Episode 3. It wasn't the greatest quality in the world because of the stream, but it was enough. A little while after they showed that sneak peek, someone uploaded a video of it on Youtube, which they had recorded from the livestream, so anyone who missed it would get to see it. The video title even says "(Extra Life 2015)" and the description explains that the video is from that livestream.

Days later - DAYS later, Rooster Teeth put up a slightly different version of the sneak peek on their channel. By slightly different, I mean
- The framerate is mostly better
- It's clearer (more HD)
- The audio levels are sooo much better where the music is lower than the voice acting, so you can finally hear everything the characters are saying
- They added a "HRUUH!" from Winter when she goes flying toward Qrow, toward the end, right before it cuts to black and he goes "Come take it." That "HRUUH!" wasn't in the Extra Life version.

Someone commented on that person's video of the Extra Life version and accused them of reuploading the sneak peek to get views, then commented on the bad framerate.

Like. Dude. Can you not read? Did you not notice the "(Extra Life 2015)" in the title? Get outta here with your rude assumptions. Check the date. This person uploaded the video days before Rooster Teeth put their version up.
