Will you be able to adjust the quality? My computer is really bad and I think it could possibly overheat, cause it did that with other games I had that have quality like that.

Do not worry. We manage to get the game running on an Intel Atom computer. It worked... not good, but it worked.

Even so, we manage to get it to run on very very old hardware without issues.  I hope it will work fine yours too

So we get to play the game for only 3 days and then what do we do with the file we downloaded?

Can you make it possible so that we can have a singleplayer mode and roam around what you guy's built for this until the release? Or is that impossible?

Well, I will love playing it during the time we have it then. By the way, one last question.

What about the pirate's who will pirate this file?(You know they will. Fighting is magic had it happen.)

The difference between Fighting is Magic and us, is that first: We release the game files.
Second is that they use Figther Maker 2k2. There is two multiplayer server(s) software for it. So it was just to download and set them up.

We use a custom server that our team has built from scratch.

It will only be playable for the weekend that CG is running.  As this is the case, there will be no patcher system.

The download link will be on the download page when it becomes available. We might provide download links slightly before we open the server, to reduce load.

So we will no longer be able to use the file that run's LoE anymore?

Why would we not be able to?

Well I get why we would not but I don't get the reason we wouldn't be able to keep it and play it.

Because it will be to much of a load on our servers. This is a pure stress test. The game is a MMO only and has no singleplayer option.

Will our stuff be saved for the release?

No, we will clear the DB afterwards.

I feel kind of bad because there isn't much to do in game. Probably the most eventful thing to do is fly around, see the places, and play my one minigame that's in it so far .

I have a bad feeling people will log in with high expectations and realize how far we still have yet to go. Of course, I could be completely wrong all the same.

Yes, so have I. Therefore people have to realize it's a stress test and it's a pre-alpha.

The Road to Alpha still say whats not implemented yet.

I unno, I was thinking of the whole Fighting is Magic fiasco, of when someone leaked that game and even made a custom server for it..
Now that I think of it though, I don't think it would concern you guys all that much anyway, since you already are making a temporary release to the public anyway, so its not like anything would get spoiled

The thing with Fighting is Magic is that they use Fighter Maker 2k2. There are two pre-made server softwares for it so it was just to boot it up and get playing.

We made our server from scratch. (Or should I say Justin started to do it to make it easier to use)

But never the less, a lot of features aren't in this pre-alpha. After all, it's a stress test.

Yknow, last night I just had a dream about this, and it kinda brought up a good point.
Aren't you guys the least bit concerned some superhacker jerk will download the files for the game and open up his own private server for everyone to play after the con is over, thus making a leaked version of the game?

Really, if someone now want's to start a private server for a pre-alpha game. Why? Why even start a private server at all once the game is released. It's free, we will never charge for it.

I just want to say how hard the staff works on the MMO. It's one of the most creative I've seen by far and it takes a lot of determination too! Thank you so much for working so hard, making the game free for all to play, and being so generous. Wub u all!

btw, I heard there was going to be an all new pony model when I rewatched the Galacon LOE panel! Can't wait to see it! EEEEEEE!  Everfree Forest, here I come!!!

not 100% that we will include it. We found a problem that we have to fix before we can implement it and right now we got focus on more important parts.

Good commands to know: /additem X

/help  -gives you all the commands
/bye -gives you the goodbye message and logs you out
Item commands
/inventory -tells you your inventoy in order
/additem x  -adds a item based on the numbered list given on page 1 just replace the x with a number e.g. /additem 21 to get an item
/wearitem x - this directly adds a equitable item from your backpack to your character but you have to use the item slot between 0-11 to do so e.g. /wearitem 0
/unwearall -removes all equipped items
/time x -changes the time based on the number entered (i find that 12 turns it to day)
Time for the obvious ones and emotes
/sit -allows you to sit
/facehoof -facehoofs
/stand -returns your charter to the original movement animations

For all Ponies races:
Left Shift - Sprint
Left Alt key + middlemouse button - Head turning
Space - Jump
WASD - move around
1 and 2 - sit and facehoof (or click the small images)
Hold Right mousebutton if you wish to steer the character.

Pegasus:
Left Shift (While flying) - Fly faster
Q or E - Roll
R - Loop!
CTRL - Decend
Double Space - Fly
Hold right mousebutton to steer with mouse while flying.
3 - Excited

Unicorn:
Left shift + left mousebutton - fireball!

Earth:
Look on all ponies for now

Legends of Equestria is going to Canterlot Gardens! We will be hosted in the gaming room together with Fighting is Magic! Please stop by and talk with us and share your thoughts and ideas. Or just stop by and give us muffins and cupcakes.

But that's not all. We will be performing a stress test. During Canterlot Gardens, we will open the game to the public during that weekend. You will need a forum account to log in, so if you don't have one yet, register on our forums.

There will be two ways to obtain the game:
1) Stop by our table! We will have flash drives with the game on them to copy to your computer, or bring your own flash drive (at least 512 mb), and we can copy the game onto it.
2) Download it from our website! We will provide links to download the game, including a torrent link. We urge you to NOT download it from any other source.


We want to remind you all this is still pre-alpha. It will have bugs, it will have graphics issues and it will not be finalized. The server might also go down due to load. Everything is subject to change!


More information about this event will be released next week!
