I was never around during the days of the IRC.
This is just my own observation but from what I've seen on other sites with a 'box it's usually good for those topics that don't necessarily belong in any existing threads that typically results in one of those threads that's so random and long it's an eyesore.

Before jumping into any programming I would learn the basics of loops, conditionals and sequentials. Once you get that down all that matters are the different syntax of the languages.
Besides RPG Maker I do believe programs exist for different styles of games (I used to use one for platformers but that was many years ago) if the end product isn't an RPG.

Yeah, but a pony gets their cutie mark when they discover their special talent, their age has nothing to do with it. In that specific episode, they all discovered their unique talent at around the same time, but that was more of a coincidence surrounding Rainbow's sonic rainboom rather than their ages.
You're right, apparently I only either half explained myself or apparently dozed off...ZZz...What I meant is that there are only six or so models of ponies. You got your foals, fillies/colts adolescent ponies (Fluttershy and Snails), Snips, adults and the two mane Alicorns. What slipped my mind is that all the ponies sans Fluttershy all appear to be fillies while Fluttershy seems to be that of a teenager (I've heard someone state that RD and Fluttershy are the same age because they're in the same camp, but most camps vary wildly in terms of admission ages). What I meant is that while they all got their Cutie Marks at the same time it appears to me that Fluttershy appears the oldest while the deviance in the ages of the others are not noticeable.

One of the tips I can think of would be to put certain things in context. For example an introduction may put in a setting and a character it doesn't necessarily put the character alongside the others in RP (for example meeting others one could add the required description to both write it towards the interaction as well as that I have a habit of forgetting a lot of stuff in RP).

Hapony Hanzo and me played it over hamachi, If you ask him I am sure we can play together
The problem with Hamachi is that I don't like it because it's insecure. I generally use specialized port forwards if I host (my router allows me to mix inbound ports; not a prevention but a deterrent) because it allows me to utilize my hardware firewall in the router.

I bought it to play with a friend until they were managing a server in a way I could not connect! 
So far I love it but like Minecraft it does utilize the old school connect to server system (in which Steam IDs aren't needed) in which does add a few hurdles. One of these days I'll try multiplayer on it.

For some reason what comes to mind is that I don't see a Cutie Mark on your OC. Usually a name ties into the Cutie Mark as well as the personality of the character.

Where I work it's still called shrink. There's even a painting of a slogan on a wall leading to a pot of gold.

The only time I played FF-X was when my brother and his friend could not beat the timed Sin battle. I did so on my first try with horrible characters and no understanding of how the game worked.

I would assume the MLP trading cards will be where other trading cards will be in the stores. At least in the stores I go to those are fairly hidden.
The only other place I can think of would be Hot Topic but I'd actually call them first before going out there if it's a far trek.

I actually used to be a gray unicorn. However with my story line changes and a few circumstances outside my control I redesigned myself into being a white (or otherwise clear) crystal pony.
I'm only that way because I'm using preset designs Hasbro has given us. Not necessarily because a good OC has to stand out in the Royal Guard.
