The idea behind Notable Pony was to give forum members who are helpful and kind a chance to be recognized, and maybe be able to give them added perks in the future. I still would like this concept, as it gives the community a chance to participate in acknowledging their own members and being more involved as a whole.
Then again, if more dislike any sort of recognition, then we can remove any sort of titles like that, and limit titles just to staff.

All staff titles have recently been recreated, and for the exact opposite reason. We used to have Concept Artists, Designers, and Writers clumped in the same category. It seems a bit unorganized.

And overall, I will not be allowing custom titles. There is an option to do so, and we have disabled it. You have your own personal quote, which is basically the same thing.

Mini-Mod is actually a serious title, and is a real position.

America's Sweetheart and Propane Salesman were pranks we did on our moderation leader Perry The Pony, and we rewarded them to Pinkie Pie and Night Pony for reporting some forum posts in a way to preserve them.
Anya's Little Helper was given to The Wandering Magus since he was being a bit grumpy about the Notable Pony Nominations in the beginning.

It was originally a joke badge given to our first nominated pony.

Generations are usually marked by the style of the toys, it looks like.

Generation 1:

Generation 2:

Generation 3:

and of course, Generation 4, which you all know.

I'm not sure how long the generations last, or how they make the newer toys, but I highly doubt they would keep the same style or a majority of the cast and storyline the same, such as a "Mane 6" or the princesses, or make background ponies more main characters. I'm pretty sure their major focus has been their toy brand, not the show. Although now that the major focus is the show, I'm clueless as to what they'll do for G5 and when they'll do it.
