Boa had reached Celestia's Chambers when he noticed something...the door to the room was slightly cracked open. Boa immediately hugged the wall, trying to peer inside. He could barely see anything through the crack, but he did manage to see what looked like a pony. Boa slowly bit down on his prosthetic hoof, and slowly entered the room...at the first sign of danger, this hoof was coming off.

Boa looks at the mare, passed out against the castle gates. He let out a quiet sigh, before looking at the gates themselves. They were indeed massive. He pressed his hooves against the doors, and began to push. At first, they didn't budge, but Boa continued to pour all of his weight and strength into the door. Slowly, the door opened. Inch by small inch, until it was enough for him to get through. Unfortunately, with all the weight he put into opening the door, when it had opened, he had fell flat on his face.

"Ugh...this is going to be a common occurrence, isn't it?" He stood up, dusting his jacket off. He was about to take a step in, when he looked at Virulent, still sleeping. Boa sighed, he couldn't just leave her there. Walking up to her, he used a combination of his magic and strength to get her onto his back, trying his best not to wake her. "Consider this me paying you back for helping me earlier."

He walked into the castle, and looked around "Hmm...it should be here." Boa said to himself, walking a little ways into the castle, he opened the door on the eastern end of the first floor, entering the guest chambers. He set Virulent down on the bed, before turning towards a desk. He searched through it, eventually finding paper and ink. He began to write a note.

'Sorry, Virulent. I'm not the kind of stallion that lets anyone sleep in such a dangerous place out in the open. I don't know why you came here, but if you wish for help. You can find me in Celestia's Chambers. I will be there until I can find out just what happened to the ponies of this world.'

Setting down the note on the desk, Boa turned and left. He began to make his way up to Celestia's Chambers.

Boa walked up to the castle gates. He noticed someone resting against the castle doors.

"Virulent?" Worried, his walk turned into a gallop, running to her side. "Hey, you okay?!"
324
"Finally. Its finished." Boa looked at the wand as he carved in the final runic symbol. The symbols began to glow with a faint green light. He turned it towards himself, and pressed it against his horn. Immediately, his body began to be surrounded with that same green glow. A few seconds had passed, and Boa could slowly feel himself healing the damage the explosion did.

Several minutes passed, and Boa could feel the last of his injuries fade away from the healing spell. Standing up, he checked himself to make sure everything was in working order. With a smile, he looked back at the wand, half of the glowing symbols had faded away. "I used up half of this thing? Must've been more hurt than I thought..." He pocketed the wand, and looked around.

"The sun hasn't moved a single inch. Guess Celestia isn't around either. That makes things easier for me." He turned around, his next destination was one room in the castle. Celestia's chambers.

Boa eventually made it to a small park, where his legs finally gave out on him again. He collapsed onto the soft ground. "Ugh...its no use. I'm too messed up to keep moving." He needed healing, but as he walked, he wasn't able to find any down the route he took. However, he did notice that he was near a tree with long, thick branches. He smiled. "Yes...that'll do nicely."

Using his magic, he formed a grip over one of the branches, using all of his magical strength to snap it off. He brought it over to him, resting it in his hooves. He looked at it, it was just about the right thickness, but it had to be cut down to the right size. Levitating a small carving knife out from his bags, he began to carve the branch until it was just about the right size. When he looked at it when he was finished, he smiled. It was the perfect size for a wand.

He then levitated out two other carving items, these were small. Almost like scalpels. He began to carve very small, runic symbols into the carved wood. "A small healing spell, nothing to advanced, but just enough to get me back on my feet. I think this should take me...about four hours."

Pouring all of his skill as an Artificer into the soon-to-be magical item, he began to work.

Boa smiles back at Virulent, giving her a wave goodbye as she walked off. As Virulent faded from his view, his smile completely disappeared as lowered his hoof. He turned back once more towards his shop. The fires still burning brightly. Even though it wasn't his true shop, even though this was just some other world, he couldn't help but feel sorrow build up inside him. "Well...no use standing around here. I need to get to the castle. There has to be something there."

Slowly, he began to walk. Using all of his willpower not to collapse from the pain he was in, he made his way to the castle. Somewhere along the way, he needed to find some healing spells.
327
Virulent? Nice name. I'm Captain Boa. And...thanks for helping me. I really appreciate the help."
328
Boa looked at the jar, before raising his hoof in objection. "Thanks, but I can deal with some pain." He looked out at the burning wreckage of his shop, well, this world's version of his shop.

"My store...the Silver Ouroboros. I ended up setting off a trap made my this world's version of me. Funny, if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all."
329
"Thanks, I--" Boa stopped, looking at the mare in front of him. She reminded him of...

No, that's not right. It wouldn't be her. She's... Boa shook his head, clearing the thought out of his mind. He took the leaves and put it into his mouth...its flavor was...unique. After a few minutes, the taste had eventually faded.

"Okay...I think the taste is gone."
330
"Heh...thanks."

Boa tried to stand on his own hooves, which were already wobbly. Putting weight on them, he almost collapsed. "Ugh...that explosion really did a number on me. If it weren't for these defensive wrappings, I don't think I'd be getting up."

Boa let out a cough, followed by another groan of pain. "Looks like I'll be using you as a crutch for awhile, friend."
331
*Cough* *Cough*

Boa began to stir with a groan. His body was wracked with pain. His vision was cloudy but slowly coming back to him. He tried to get up, barely moving an inch before falling back to the ground.

"Ugh...I feel worse than when I fought Diamond Jack. Even fighting the Nightmare in the Underdark wasn't as bad as this."

Boa raised his hooves up to his head, trying to clear his vision.

A ticking noise began to echo through the room, a clock perhaps? Boa couldn't see anything as the room was nearly pitch black.  All he could see in this room was a second work bench, on it was a single note, and an amulet of some sort. Boa walked up to it, levitated up the note and examined it. It was in his own handwriting. Just as he thought...the Boa of this world had known something. He began to read.

"If you are reading this, then congratulations. You are the one who has brought Captain Boa his end. However, do not gloat and praise yourself with victory, just yet. For the moment you entered this room, I enacted my final plan. Do you hear that ticking, friend? The walls of my shop have high-quality explosives built into its walls, it will completely evaporate everything in this shop...including you. I cannot let the secrets of Captain Boa be discovered by you, or by anyone else."

Boa's eyes widened. THAT'S what the ticking sound was. The exact moment he finished reading the note...the ticking stopped. "...Oh, dear." He immediately, pocketed the amulet, and teleported just a few feet out of the shop. As he began running, the inside of the shop was suddenly engulfed in white...and soon after the entire shop became engulfed in a massive explosion. The shock wave was enough to knock Boa off of his hooves, sending him through the air and crashing through the window of a nearby shop.

Boa let out a groan of pain, looking at the ruins of his shop before passing out.

Shifting through his store, Boa looked for something. Anything that would give him clues as to what had happened here. Going through every nook and cranny of his store, he found nothing. After minutes of searching, he finally began to give up when he noticed something. Something that hadn't been there in his shop before. At the very end of the hall, was the symbol of his store, the Silver Ourboros. It was hanging by a chain, which led into a hole in the wall.

"Its...a lever." Boa's horn glowed, using his magic to put a grip on the snake and pull it down. A clicking sound echoed throughout the shop, and a wall opened up from behind his workbench. Boa turned to see it, a new room, something unique in this world's version of his shop. Boa swallowed nervously, biting down on his lip, he walked into the room.

With a second flash, Boa appeared before a small section of Canterlot's shopping district. Usually vibrant with life and activity, now just another part of this empty, empty world. He walked further into the district, eventually turning a corner. There, just at the very end sat a shop. A single sign was held above it, the image of a white snake eating its own tail.

"The Silver Ouroboros. Good to see you're still standing in this world too. Heh...guess that means this world had a version of me, too. Must not have been as strong, considering he vanished with everyone else."

Boa walked closer to the shop, still taking precautions as he reached it, and went inside.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they turned Rarity into personally. Between the roll of fabric she would attack with and the gem attacks the moveset was pretty tied to her character too. It'll be interesting, especially if she isn't a unicorn like the Twilight replacement still seems to be. And I hope she isn't, because it'd be more interesting to have each character be a different species.

I still don't play fighting games much myself, but I have been following the team pretty much since it was formed. I'm invested in seeing how it turns out, in some abstract ways. If nothing else it's been interesting reading their more technical posts about how they're building the game.

I saw their gameplay trailer. Its amazing.

Its still got some of the old combos from the previous game, and Velvet looks really fun to play as.

Boa had been silent the entire ride, thinking about the events so far. After the hectic train ride had ended, he quickly jumped out of the train, looking into the city of Canterlot.  It looked beautiful as always, but just like Ponyville...something didn't feel...right. He turned to the rest of the party.

"I'm going to go find my shop, I'll regroup with everyone later." He turned and walked into the city. He felt a little hypocritical going by himself after trying to keep everyone sticking together. However, this was something he needed to do on his own.

"When I'm done, I'm heading straight to the castle! We'll meet up there!" With that, he pressed a button on his belt, and he teleported away with a flash.
337
"Agreed. Hopefully we'll run into them on the way back." Boa turned around and walked out of Sugarcube Corner. He looked around the empty city once more. The feeling of dread had already begun to build ever since he met up with the others...but now, just with the little information they gathered, he really did not like what he had been learning.

"Canterlot has to have SOMETHING that'll help us understand just what happened here. All we're doing here is making more questions with the answers."
338
"I'm not safe with using my belt to get there. Don't know what we might end up teleporting into, that and blind jumps are incredibly dangerous. I think the safe bet is to regroup with the other two and check the train."
339
Boa pulled out one of the pastries from the counter, taking a bite of it. His eyes widened at the taste of it. It was amazing! His bliss soon quickly faded as he realized that the pastry was still very much fresh.

"The more I stay here...the more things get worse and worse." Boa then turned towards the room where the other pony walked into. He walked into the room. "Hurry up with your looting. We're heading to Canterlot ASAP."
340
"I don't see why they would. Still, keep an eye out. If we do see any other ponies around, they might not exactly be friendly."
