I should note that this character has been changed radically since his original incarnation. I stored the old one on my computer locally, but I doubt he'll be coming back.

Name: Coral Helix
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Species: Unicorn
Location: Deep in the Everfree Forest
Likes: New experiences, animals, and exploring
Dislikes: Disregard for nature, selfishness
Cutie Mark: A Simple Globe
Talent: Documenting and researching the global ecosystem.
Personality: Extremely calm and bases his thoughts off of rational observations. Is very friendly, but has difficulty controlling his tone of voice and so often misrepresents himself in conversation.
Biography: Helix lived an extraordinarily average life. He had kind parents, an easy colthood, and was never ostracized. On a warm day he wandered away from home into the woods, enjoying his time of innocence during a break from the chores of his youth. The dark forest quickly swallowed his sense of direction, and he found himself lost without any means of navigation. He wandered for hours, and eventually days. He observed the animals that shared the forest with him foraging on their own- evading predators and living their lives unhindered by a governing force. He learned by doing, and adapted to the harsh environment. Were he not stunned by the sights and sounds around him, he would have noticed that that was the moment that his cutie mark appeared.
Years passed, leaving behind his years as a little colt. After such a lengthy time, Helix succeeded in building a livable shelter, maintaining a stable food supply, and writing page after page of personal information about the creatures in the woods. After such a long time, though, he had yet to find even a hint of other ponies. He had started to give up on the thought, the memories from years past already fading away, before stumbling on the edge of a clearing, and seeing in the distance what he would soon learn to be Ponyville. One day, he wants to explore the world and make a name for himself as one of the worlds great scholars by documenting all of the worlds creatures. Maybe even famous enough for his parents to remember him.
Details:
Due to the sudden nature of his departure from society, Helix knows almost no magic, and has difficulty socializing with other ponies. Because of this, he still lives within the secluded forest, instead of moving to Ponyville. While he does want to see his parents again, he can barely remember them after such a long time. It saddens him, but he has practically given up on finding them.
