"Graves?" The guard chuckled. "Sure buddy, but this is private property Ya' need a warrant fore you come in here and it better be murder before I do."
22
The Carpeteria was a large, circular building colored in various geometic patterns, and pixelated panels to indicate the factory was a carpet in itself. Along the bottom, tassel lines showed the windows that seemed tinted and forlorned.

A lone guard stood at the gate, checking in ponies as he went.
23
OOC- Oh well ummm...despite some of the misleading pronouns, I haven't narrowed down a gender. Just working on the thief and keeping it rather mysterious.
24
"Well...yes he works at the carpet weaver's factory in Canterlot? The big one near the center of town?"

She shook her head. "If you honestly think my husband would rob some store for a few coins, you're quite wrong dear sir. He's not a thief. He's a buisnesspony."
25
Earlier, in another city, a terrible scream echoed through the halls as a unicorn mare ran down the streets.

"Help! Help! Somepony has stolen my husband! Help me! Help!" She screamed, ensuring there were dozens of ponies that came out of their homes and

(OOC-Feel free to have the case announced whenever and I'll continue from there)

Sorry, I was out for a bit, but I did make an OOC post in your thread.

Either way, I'd still be down with it, if you guys want.
27
(Okay, 8 days or so I think stands for a week so I'm going to make the next post)

"Well yesterday, he had to leave dinner early due to some accident at the company, I believe a shoe factory if I recall it correctly. Either way, he didn't come back till a tad later, and when I asked him what happened, he didn't want to say."
28
OOC- Ooooo I really like this too, can I be a criminal?

--------------------

The heirloom looked magnificent right in front of them. The beauty of it all. The cunning thrill of snatching what was so dear and holding it to themselves. That's what it was. The glory of owning what was not yours.

Years before, the Pegasi would have flown miles for his banner. It was a symbol of absolute power. And they had it.

Of course, this was only the first.

"My...my...you beautiful thing." The thief cooed, stroking the banner. Of course, perhaps they weren't alone. Perhaps there was more. Perhaps there was more to everything.

(KK so I talked with Maplewood, and perhaps, when it is more appropriate, to create a little Mystery for the guards to solve. I won't go too much into details, less maple wants to share, but I'll post when you guys feel it's appropriate."

"My husband knows him." Mrs. Graves said rather sternly. "I find the pony to be a cheap scape and one who deserves that he gets. He thinks he can sell my husband useless knick knacks and jack up the price. He's the real thief if you ask me."

-------------

Just before Quill could enter, however, Miss Graves called out. "I'm terribly sorry, Officer, but could you help me with this fertilizer?"

31
She hoofed him a bottle of wine. "Thank you, lay the bottle there, detective. And what would you like from my dear husband this time now?"

------------

Miss Graves was still struggling with the fertilizer, but managed to flip it over. (Sorry met Miss Graves not Mrs.)
32
(Okay, I'll try to give up as many information as I can)

A taller, slender grey pony with a light blue mane was sitting at the door, cradling a cup of wine in her hooves. "Yes? Who is it?"

-------

Anypony staying with Mrs. Graves would see that she went back to work, but perhaps could use some help as she struggled with one of the bags of fertilizer.
33
(I'm going to be gone for a week or more till April 12th, so perhaps if you guys want to continue this with theories or hold off, it's up to you)

Miss Graves shook her head. "Probably not in a while I'm afraid. But my Aunt is here so perhaps you could talk with her?"

34
"Oh yes, I'm his niece, Miss Fine Print Graves at your service." The mare took off her gardening glove, raising it for him to shake. "Is my uncle in any sort of trouble?"

It was clear now that she was a pegasus, with a nice dark grey mane tied in a bun under soft violet blue eyes. Her body was rather average though, and she had a cheery complexion, albeit being a tad short.

"He's currently out, but my Aunt Graves is in there if you're curious."
35
The residence itself was a cozy little two-story house nestled between an oatburger joint and a casket maker. Growing in a small pot to the side, was a series of tiny lilies, with a kind light blue mare tending to them with a watering can.
36
Upon looking at it, he nodded. "Yeah, some bloke by the name of Horseshoe Graves. Reckon he must know a thing or two about it."

If they did indeed follow the trail, they would be led into a dimly lit alleyway, where one homeless mare could be seen sleeping soundly against a trash can.
37
"And where were you, huh?" Keepers asked, his eyes narrowing. "Pretty suspicious of you to come here of all places AFTER a robbery, eh? You turn to stealing teeth now?" He marched up the customer, so that they were eye-to-eye. "You think you're really clever, huh?"
38
Keepers followed him out to the main hall just as he saw the customer walk in. Narrowing his eyes, her stated quite simply. "What a pleasant surprise to see you again, buddy. And what a coincidence of you to come here too."
39
(Yeah, actually I'll just have you listed as a suspect.)

"Here's the whole list." He slid several names and addresses to the detective. "Anypony I think might've been kind of cooky."
40
(Sorry, alright here's another hint, there are only a few rooms organized...things that we know the thief has touched. What you're looking for is a culprit who cannot stand chaos or disorder and simply takes the time to organize it for the guy. So then...the thief is someone who is an organizational freak)

(I'm fine with anyone wanting to join to come back in. Yeah, none of you guys had replied for so long that i did consider it dead, but if you guys are willing to come back, I'll throw this back into gear)
