Rigor looked at the trees and how they seemed to shift, she stared for a moment at them.  Her eyes widened as she went in deeper and though she saw for a moment a pony dying.  She ran towards were she saw it expecting a body and seeing nothing.  Rubbing her eyes with her front hooves she thought about it, "I must be thinking about work."  She shook her head and continued on in the forest, each flash of a painful death amused her a bit as she thought how she would fix the body.  That train of thought calmed her nerves a bit, though some deaths even made her coat on her spine stand on end but she focused off of it with how she would prepare the body.

(( Oh dear. You all came here fast while I was at work.    Terribly sorry for being gone. ))

Rigor Mortis jolted at being crashed into, she shook her head a moment before realizing her hay fries were all over the ground.  She looked up at the offending pony ready to yell out of anger though she stopped herself realizing the other pony didn't seem like she did it on purpose.  Calming herself down with a breath as she went to clean up the mess with the help of Chocolate Rain, "That's quite alright, these things happen."  Her brown eyes looked over the other pony before responding, "I'm Rigor Mortis." 

After the mess was cleaned and when Chocolate Rain went inside she sighed and packed up the hay fries deciding to give them to some animals that wouldn't mind some dirt on them. "Waste not," she muttered as she walked from the cafe to find a nice place to sit down and at least eat what was left of the lunch she bought.

(( Well this is a great place to start roleplaying! Be careful though.. roleplaying can get addictive.  ))

Rigor waited in the cafe for her order of two dandelion sandwiches and a large order of hay fries.  When it was ready she took the carry-out bag between her teeth and happily walked out of the cafe, debating where she wanted to sit to eat her meal.

Rigor Mortis blinked several times hearing the strange singing voice, she paused for a moment as she tried to work out where it was coming from.   She saw a glow where the voice seemed to be originating and stood there for a moment debating if she should investigate.  Knowing the smartest thing would be to avoid it she gave a small smirk as she muttered to herself, "I never was one for taking my own good advice."  She headed towards the strange glow to see what was going on.

(( I wonder if my roleplaying partners abandoned me.    Though I just finally got back from class.. such a fun long drive with traffic this late at night.  ))

Rigor trotted a bit into the woods to see where the voices were previously coming from.  Shaking her head as she went to go back to find Luna and promptly got lost.  Feeling terrible at being unable to find her, though she was sure if the Princess wanted to be found she would make herself known.  Giving a soft sigh as she turned to walk deeper into the forest, pausing to put some mushrooms in her saddle bag.

Rigor Mortis blinked as her ears twitched slightly, that time she could have sworn she heard a voice where the light was coming from.  As well as several other very distant ones.  Trotting a bit to stare into the trees with her brown eyes narrowed as she called out, "Hello?"  Considering herself a bit foolish, trying to picture her actions from Luna's point of view she must look a bit insane.

Rigor looked around the Town Square taking in the site of passing ponies, a seemingly relaxed pony on a bench, and the unusual sight of a griffin in Ponyville.  Though she didn't let her eyes linger long, feeling it would be rude to do so as she trotted into the cafe with intention of getting something to go so she could enjoy the sun outside.

Rigor stood up straight, a slight blush under her coat as she looked at Luna. "Luna," she started to say before looking though the trees as she rubbed her eyes with her hoof before staring again. She thought she saw a faint light though them for a moment. "Must be seeing things," she muttered to herself.

Rigor Mortis left the funeral home and headed towards the center of Ponyville.  She worked hard all morning and she was starving.  Heading towards the cafe she licked her lips, switching her tail back and forth.

Rigor jumped back at the sudden crash landing of the pony in front of her. Blinking several times with her right hoof in the air before shaking her head and giving a soft laugh at herself for being startled for a moment.  "Hello," she spoke as she took a step forward, "Are you alright?"

Rigor Mortis flicked her tail as she scoffed at the idea of Slendermane.  She had trotted into the Everfree forest to show she didn't believe in him for a moment.  Slowing after she wasn't able to see out of the forest behind her she strolled towards some trees to study the mushrooms below them.  "Might as well get some use out of this adventure," she muttered as she made sure they weren't poisonous before gathering them in her saddlebag.

In the game itself when I was playing earlier today I only saw three Earth Ponies on Discord. Everyone was a pegasus or unicorn.

I'm glad to be an Earth Pony help the ranks.

Oh my..  Thank you both so much. I never expected to get so many awesome names! 

Though the hard part is deciding which name to use. I'm quite fond of all of them. 

... I've been sitting here for over an hour trying to decide on the name..

I'm sorry about not using the other names..  ...but I was "calling" them out loud to see what fit the best.

Only one was absolutely perfect for her. I do love all the names but I'm using Rigor Mortis. 

Once again thank you both so very much. I wish I could use them all but Rigor Mortis works just perfectly for my Earth Pony.

Sorry for all the use of smilies they are just too much fun.

Original Characters / Need help naming a pony that does embalming and funeral service

Currently the earth pony I have is named after my gamer/usual tag of "Insane Mar".  She is a mare that is in her young adult life.  Her job and passion is embalming, though considering there is probably not many ponies in the funeral service in Ponyville her job may also include grave digging, funeral directing, and other parts of the funeral service.

I'm trying to decide on what a good name for her that would represent her talent and her personality.  If possible I would like the name "Mar" in some way. However that's not required.

Please let me know if you have any ideas for this pony. Her hair is black and her coat is more of a light black, her hair is very short.
