I probably should have mentioned that. I always seem to forget that part. But yeah, I believe (I'll edit this later if I'm wrong) it's set to be released on current and next gen consoles.

I think it's safe to say most people grow more wary and aren't as open to others naturally as time goes on. Of course, some more so than others.

On top of that though, I find that I don't empathize or sympathize with others very easily. I find that I care about myself far more than I do other people. That doesn't apply to my closest friends though, who I would do anything I could for. But people in general, I tend to simply not care about.

I've grown a lot more bitter and resentful as I've aged. I've been screwed over too much in my life, and have adapted as such. I frequently suffer from depression which I medicate with copious amounts of alcohol, and I shut myself away from the outside world because I would rather keep to myself. That said, with my own interests involved, I carefully plan out my future, making sure every step of the way has a plan B in case I need something to fall back on. I really don't care who I hurt along the way, as long as I can make my goals.

I have no problem lying and manipulating others. I can do it with a straight face and make others believe every word I tell them. The upsetting thing is that I'm proud of it. I'm proud that people are so malleable.

But like I said, I don't do such things to my best and closest of friends. I like them far too much.

Firstly, I'm a big horror fan. This game certainly caught my interest.

Bethesda's new project, The Evil Within, is a survival horror game that promises to actually be survival horror. None of that "Jumpscare blow it away with your infinite arsenal of weapons" horror. This is true survival horror under the direction of Shinji Mikami, who is best known for creating and directing the Resident Evil series (You know, before he left and it went to crap).

The game doesn't support a very original plotline: "When Detective Sebastian and his partner rush to the scene of a gruesome mass murder, a mysterious, powerful force is lying in wait for them. Witnessing the killing of fellow police officers one after another, Sebastian is then attacked and loses consciousness. Waking up in a land where monsters are wandering about, he has to fight his way through a world of death and his close friend's madness in order to understand what's going on. Sebastian has to face his fears in order to survive on a journey to discover what lies in the shadows of that mysterious force."

That being said, from what gameplay I have seen of it, and through various interviews with the creators, it looks as if they want to actually bring back true survival horror. Resource management, a chilling atmosphere, and the knowledge that fighting, or merely encountering, a group of enemies could lead to your quick demise. Hopefully they make good on the promise, and it's not just another, "A skeleton popped out," game.

This is the currently short wikipedia article on the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Evil_Within

I encourage others interested in the game to look up gameplay videos and developer interviews regarding the game. I would post them, but there is explicit content (blood, gore, etc.) in most of the videos, and I would rather not break the rules.

Getting to work and seeing giant messes that the previous shift could have cleaned up in the time they have when the clients go to sleep.

I know I'm a third shift worker, and it is our job to clean, but if you make a mess, clean it. It's so infuriating to see messes that could have been cleaned in just a few minutes dry up and become messes that take fifteen minutes to clean because it refuses to come up.
