iOS: Available
Android: Pre-register

I made this thread in case you wanted to share your Friend Codes to challenge each other in Toad Rally, although you can also add each other via linking your Facebook and/or Twitter account(s) and then accepting requests in-game.

Please note that I won't be providing my own FC till the Android version comes out as I do not have an iOS device.

The next installment in the series, Monster Hunter Generations combines the past with the present... literally. It also adds new ways to hunt monsters via four different styles. You can even play as a Prowler (Palicoes--cat-like creatures--that you can take full control of unlike the ones in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate). If you have any system in the 3DS family (even a 2DS), you can check out its demo in the Nintendo eShop right now.

With that out of the way... Anyone else getting the full game?

For Android devices

For iOS devices
Yep. Kingdom Hearts has yet another spin-off, and this time it's on mobile devices. So yeah. Anyone else gonna play it?

P.S. I'm in the Anguis Union.

For those wondering, My Nintendo is the Club Nintendo replacement. Miitomo is Nintendo's first attempt at a smartphone game. (Reminder: don't forget to make an account for both for a bonus!)

Anyway, I'll be updating this thread as more news come (especially when both of those get released overseas).

Wanna experience the same thing they did? Check out this link for more info! (North America only)

(I'm keeping this as a separate thread because it's the holidays. I'll be locking this once December ends.)

Spoiler: Bonus video to really get into the festive mood • show
I figured this deserved a separate thread since there's not really a dedicated Minecraft thread. Anyway, this was announced this morning (Monday, December 7, 2015). Here's a full article from a news site I visit frequently:

Quote from: Nintendo LifeSix free add-ons and Nintendo content in the works

Just before Nintendo's November Direct a PEGI rating emerged for Minecraft on Wii U. It never appeared in the Direct, however, and with the rating since disappearing from the PEGI website there was undoubtedly some confusion; thankfully that rating disappearance only pointed to a delay.

Nintendo has now confirmed that Minecraft: Wii U Edition will hit the eShop on 17th December in North America and Europe, with a price of $29.99 in the US. It'll have off-TV play, naturally, while the following add-on packs will be included for free.
  • Battle & Beasts Skin Pack

  • Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack

  • Natural Texture Pack

  • City Texture Pack

  • Fantasy Texture Pack

  • Festive Mash-up Pack

There'll also be 16 packs available for purchase right away on the eShop with more promised in the future, though pricing hasn't been given at the time of writing.
  • Festive Skin Pack

  • The Simpsons Skin Pack

  • Doctor Who Skins Volume 1

  • Doctor Who Skins Volume 2

  • Star Wars Classic Skin Pack

  • Star Wars Rebels Skin Pack

  • Star Wars Prequel Skin Pack

  • Mass Effect Mash-up Pack

  • Skyrim Mash-up Pack

  • Plastic Texture Pack

  • Candy Texture Pack

  • Cartoon Texture Pack

  • Steampunk Texture Pack

  • Pattern Texture Pack

  • Greek Mythology Mash-up Pack

  • Halloween 2015 Mash-up Pack

Best of all "Nintendo and Mojang are also collaborating on new content for Nintendo fans to be released at a future date"; it'll be interesting to see what form that'll take.

Are you excited about Minecraft finally coming to Wii U, or is it too late?

Please keep in mind that the date set is for the eShop version. The physical version will be released at a later date, according to another source.
Off-Topic Archive / The Lion Guard
2015 Nov 29, 14:07:31
Quote from: WikipediaThe Lion Guard is an American animated television series created by Ford Riley based on the 1994 film The Lion King. It was first broadcast as an hour long television film, titled The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar on November 22, 2015 and will later broadcast as a series in January 2016 on Disney Junior and Disney Channel. It is the second television series to be based on The Lion King, the other being the TV Series Timon & Pumbaa which ran from 1995 to 1999. The Lion Guard takes place after the original film and in the middle of its 1998 sequel The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

While we wait for Season 6 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I needed something (aside from watching animé) to fill in the void, and I think this will be it. As someone who watched and enjoyed the first and second movies (but not "1 1/2") back then, I think this shows promise.
Note: Please keep in mind that what I list isn't what was all announced. Also, everything is in alphabetical order instead of what was announced in order. Anything with [★] are new games. Anything in red are important dates.

I just wanna point out that this isn't a Nintendo-only thread; it's just I don't have the other systems. I will edit this post to include any other news any of you post so it doesn't get lost in this thread (if it ever reaches that point). With that being said...

Spoiler: Nintendo's side • show

Spoiler: To recap what was mentioned in the video • show
Nintendo World Championships 2015
* May 30, regional heats will be hosted at selected Best Buy stores around the US
* June 14, qualifying players will compete with invited guests in live finals at the NOKIA Theatre in LA

Nintendo Digital Event
* June 16 at 9am Pacific / Noon Eastern / 5pm UK / 6pm CET

Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3
* Running from June 16-18, we can expect more details nearer the time, but we'd anticipate it'll be largely similar to the extended sessions of E3 2014, with more developers and coverage promised.

Mario Maker at Best Buy
* Sessions will be held in Best Buy stores around the US from 4-9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 17, and noon-5 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 20. Attendees will receive a 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros. pin while supplies last.
Also, the end bit with Bill Trinen was just a joke.
12'd probably look something like this (this is a video for a convention going on in Japan; turn on Captions for English subtitles):

Honestly, I'd very much welcome a MLP animé, even if it's fanmade such as this ^-^
Video presentation | Article form | Summarized version

In short, Nintendo is coming to mobile devices, but they will not be porting anything. There's also a teased system called the "NX" being worked on.
AKA "What was something/were some things that stopped you from playing/progressing through a game/games back when you were a kid but are able to clear through it now?" A few of mine were:
  • World 1-2 of Yoshi's Island because of the falling Chomps

  • The second boss of Donkey Kong Country 2 because it literally scared me when it was chasing you

  • Tick Tock Clock in Super Mario 64 because some Stars needed the course to move

I wanted to make this thread because nostalgia hit me after reading and hearing (via a presentation yesterday as of this post) about ex-Rare members wanting to make a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie (more info here), and strangely enough, what I just mentioned came to mind first; I'm also curious if anyone else had their own "roadblocks". So yeah... what's yours? (Mind you, it doesn't have to be Nintendo-only games.)
North America:
  • January 20, 2015: Products released after this date are not eligible for registration with Club Nintendo. (This means you can still register products that were released BEFORE that date; you'll see what I mean below.)

  • March 31, 2015: Last day to earn Coins, register products with Club Nintendo, and sign up for new Club Nintendo membership.

  • June 30, 2015: Last day to redeem Coins or access your account on the Club Nintendo website. Club Nintendo program shuts down at 11:59pm PT on June 30, 2015.

  • April 1, 2015: From this date, Nintendo will no longer include product registration cards with its packaged games, so such products cannot be registered in Club Nintendo. You may still find product registration cards in games that were in stock before this date, however.

  • April 20, 2015: Termination of the registration of digital products downloaded from Nintendo eShop. Digital products obtained from Nintendo eShop after this date will no longer appear in the My Registered Games & Systems page in Club Nintendo. In addition, surveys for download software titles will no longer be available.

  • September 30, 2015: End of Club Nintendo programme. All Club Nintendo features, such as signing up as a new member, logging in as a registered member, earning Stars, and exchanging Stars for items from the Stars Catalogue will no longer be possible from this date.

  • April 1, 2015: Nintendo will no longer include product registration cards in its game and system packaging.

  • April 20, 2015: Termination of registration of digital products downloaded from the Nintendo eShop.

  • September 30, 2015: The ability to submit surveys, spend stars, and sign up to Club Nintendo will be terminated.

It's interesting that they'll be using a differently loyalty program, though.

Collectible Badge Center, which was originally released in Japan only, is being released overseas under the name Nintendo Badge Arcade. It's a free-to-start app where you can win badges from playing crane games. The badges can then be used to decorate your 3DS's HOME Menu (including folders). There are also some badges that can launch certain software like Miiverse or System Settings, among others.

Although the app gives you free plays when you first start it, the rest can only be earned via a once-a-day Practice Game; you can also real life money (via eShop funds) to get 5 additional plays. Also, the badges change daily with some being time-exclusive.

It's something you can honestly spend only a few minutes of your time each day, so there's no harm in getting it. Just be careful not to pay for unnecessary plays...

Spoiler: Original post • show
Please note that this is currently Japan only, but it may be coming out overseas at a later date. Anyway, some videos!

Introduction (mute if you don't wanna put up with a somewhat annoying voice, though I doubt a lot of you can understand Japanese anyway X3):

First look (feel free to mute as well):

Now, I have no idea if it actually costs anything (real life money or Play Coins), but there will probably be more info concerning that soon. Anyway, what's your thoughts?

Thanks to Nala Valor for giving us permission to continue Pokémon X/Y topics here :)

Originally the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire thread, this is now the place to discuss just about everything Pokémon! That being said, I should mention what is and isn't allowed here to keep things organized:
  • Allowed to be discussed:

    • All of the main games, even starting from Gen 1; trading/giveaway and competitive discussions also allowed

    • All of the spin-off games (Stadium, Pinball, Puzzle League, Dash, Trozei, Mystery Dungeon, Rumble, etc.)

    • The Trading Card Game, both real life and the games

    • The animé (TV show)/movies
    • (Fan)sites (the official Pokémon website, Serebii, Bulbapedia, general Pokémon news, "What Pokémon are you?" quizzes, etc.)

    • Pictures/Comics are fine, but if they're really huge in filesize, PLEASE use spoiler tags!

    • Videos

  • Not allowed to be discussed:

    • The Super Smash Bros. series; that has its own thread, found here.

    • Roleplaying. There are better places to do that, and I'd rather not see topics get interrupted.

    • Saying which Pokémon is the "best". Everyone has their own opinion.

And of course, everything still has to follow LoE's forum rules. Anyway, I think that just about covers everything for now, but if I missed something, I'll add it later. Now... on to discussions!

Note: Just like earlier, the games are sorted by importance (main, spin-off, or free-to-play spin-off) then by their release dates. Also, X & Y don't have their own section because there's no more giveaways for them other than those from Battle Competitions unless stated otherwise.

Spoiler: Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Super-Secret Base guidelines and QR Codes (click to show/hide) • show
Some things I should point out:
[li]You're free to design your Base however you like, but please don't be mean and completely block off your Trainer (Base owner) location/Flag. Making it look like they're blocked but there's still a way to interact with them is fine.[/li]
[li]Adding to the above, don't force others to recruit you just so they can gain access to your Flag.[/li]
[li]The first three Pokémon on your team at the time of the QR Code creation will be the team that shows up for others. As for your Base Pals (if any), they're given preset teams depending on their Trainer type.[/li]
[li]If your computer doesn't have a SD card slot or you don't have an adapter, you can go to your Pokémon Global Link account to grab your Base's QR Code there (you MUST have used Game Sync beforehand). If you haven't set up your account/connected your game yet, go ahead and do so now.[/li]
[li]When you scan a Code, you won't be able to battle anyone in that Base and get the Flag until the next day. Streetpassing/Passing By others, on the other hand, will allow you to battle with them and get their Flag immediately.[/li]
[li]If you update your Base, PLEASE tell me so I can put a notification beside your name. (Also, and obviously, you'll need to post the updated QR Code as well.)[/li]
[li](Optional) Placing a Comfortable Bed in your Base will allow you and others to heal your Pokémon (though after each battle you're automatically healed anyway).[/li]
[li](Optional) There's an item called Proclamation where you can change the battle rules for your Base.[/li]
[li](Recommended) There's a post-story item called Level Release which can remove the level limit placed on your whole Base's Pokémon. Get it if you really want to set a challenge.[/li]
[li](Recommended) Connecting to PSS twice a day (once around morning, once around evening) will get others' Bases to show up in your game. Be careful though, as whatever layout yours has might update on their side (i.e. they scanned a QR Code for your Base > you change the layout later > both of you connect to PSS > your Base on their game might have the new layout instead).[/li]
Spoiler: Spoiler (click to show/hide) • show
(Optional) Switching your Base Pals with those you Streetpassed/Passed By can possibly net you more Flags; the amount given is the same they picked up beforehand.

Notes: All of these Bases are at Secret Meadow; you find it after Diving up at a certain water Route. All Trainers have Level 50 (100 if you turn on the Level Release item) Blissey with only Healing Wish, and they all hold Toxic Orb. Battle format is Triple Battle (which unfortunately makes Healing Wish useless), but at the very least you don't have to worry about them hurting your Pokémon.

Disclaimer: I claim no responsibility if you actually fight any of them, especially if you have underleveled Pokémon. Blissey gives the most EXP out of all the current Pokémon (roughly 1/3 more than Audino and even Chansey, which are next).

I saw this on Equestria Daily, and this involved... well... Legends of Equestria, so I figured I'd post this here :P

This is one of my most favorite animé of all time. Seeing this recreated made me fangirl SO much :3 (The last half of the video is just a comparison as well as all the stuff that was used, in case you're wondering.)
Main article | More info | List of affected games

Hope you like your Wii and DS games that have online features, because as of May 20, 2014 they'll no longer be able to connect. I just hope Nintendo has plans to "fix" this, because I'm sure A LOT of fans (including myself) are raging at the fact that we won't be able to trade Pokémon or play Super Smash Bros. Brawl with others worldwide, to name a couple examples.

I still don't get how this became a meme, but whatever:

The background music that's playing came from Super Mario Galaxy 2, for those wondering. Also, I have no idea what the actual title translates to.

I claim no responsibility if you get addicted to this ovO

Fun fact for those who didn't pay attention (like I did): he really was in the show O:

All the fangirling I'm doing, ahhhhhhhhhhh! *joins*

It's an arrangement of a parody, so... what does that make this? o.O Anyway, enjoy~

A special thanks to everypony who originally posted the videos!

Wow, I'm surprised this wasn't posted yet... Well anyway,

I, being a massive animé fanatic, fully support this (though I wonder why it took Japan so long to finally start dubbing the series). I also already know what the voices mentioned in the link sound like, so it's not gonna be too hard imagining the voices for four of the mane six. (I'm even expecting a fan-made video using the voices from the animé mentioned, so yeah lol)
What? This hasn't been posted already? :o Well anyway, hope you have your insulin ready!

Not sure if I should've posted this in another thread, but I didn't see an active 3DS games one, so...

Familiar music later in the video, anypony?

All I can say is: I'm totally getting this. I love music/rhythm games (pretty much to the point where I'll figure out the BPM of a song/music), and the fact that the creators of Pokémon made this makes me wanna get it even more! Too bad we won't be seeing it here (in North America, among other countries) till 2013, but I think it'll be worth it!

(Note: This is a 3DS eShop-exclusive title. As far as I know, there won't be retail copies of this game.)

So Mario Tennis Open for the 3DS should be out today (at least, in the US). Is anypony else getting it, because I'd love to have a match with you after I get used to the game ^-^
