Messages - Winds

1
Whispering Winds nodded in understanding to the professor. "See you later then." She addressed Ky, looking downwards to the ground. It was a bit unsettling for her to leave. She landed on her hooves next to everypony and got ready to move back to class.

"I... like it here. Enough. It's nice to travel, although Canterlot is a bit crowded and..." The dragon looked up to meet the pegasus' eyes. Well, higher than his gaze had been earlier. Kyslu cracked his neck as he searched for the word. "...unnatural to me."

"I think I know the feeling. Both from adventuring and this unnatural feeling that Canterlot brings. Although I came here with the sole purpose to learn, I am enjoying things such as the beautiful garden surrounding the building or even the interior decorations." The pegasus made a motion to the dragon while in the air. "Flying is wonderful isn't it... the sky..." she let her voice trail, almost hypnotized by the subject.

"I would assume that a dragon is not a common sight for ponies. But anyway, this place should be very different from your home, do you like it here?" The pegasus flew higher in order to talk to him at the same level. She thought that was more respectful.

Even though time was running out, she was getting interested in the conversation.
4
"Glad to hear it my friend... and how exactly did you get here? This is a pony city after all. Do you like the atmosphere?" Winds asked the dragon casually. She was smiling now, certainly feeling better than than before. Her eyes were still half closed and if ponies looked at her they would probably tell that drowsiness was taking over her.
5
The light green pegasus was thinking about passing the opportunity, she knew however that she needed to participate, so she slowly approached the dragon. "...Hey, how fare thee...?" Winds asked, it was all she could. Well, nothing bad about wanting to know how one fares she guessed.
6
Whispering Winds looked at the other students and nodded to the professor afterwards. The pegasus was having the feeling that time was passing very slowly, this bothered her. Perhaps it was because of the recent events with the youngest pony that was no longer there? Or maybe that had nothing to do with it at all. Either way, she would have to wait a little bit longer.

She remained on the spot, almost touching the ground. Her expression was one of sadness and her ears were down but her head stood up.

Just a little bit longer...

((Roy that wasn't a double post, there was someone asking her what is is she doesn't understand in between, guess the one asking removed it.))

((Yes, that was me. I answered her question. I tend to remove OOC posts in the roleplay section of the game after one day. lol))

As Cloudy was measuring the dragon's fangs, claws and mane, Whispering Winds took this opportunity to make some measures of her own, comparing the sizes of the same things. She was not so cautious now. Ky looked pretty relaxed at that moment, still, the pegasus did not let her guard down.

After finishing everything she moved away, flying two hooves off the ground.

Bane looked at Nightstar and smiles, then looks at his work. He opens up his cube and pulls out a medium sized disk-shaped object. It, too, radiates with magical energy like that of the cube and guard bot. Bane places it on his desk. He then looks at the time, then back at the disk.

It was the 16th time she was reading that book. She never got bored of it and it could prove valuable to other fields of her research.

After some time reading the young pony closes the book, on its red cover two final words of the title could be seen in black color: Pony Combustion. Her hoof was covering the rest.

As soon as the book was closed Nightstar's head fell on the desk right next to it. Exhaustion from lack of sleep finally catching up to her. It had been days since she last slept, her research and will to study keeping her awake. Her eyes were closed and she was finally getting some rest. As much as she did not want to sleep and continue her research, her body thanked Celestia for that moment of rest.

She didn't even have the chance to ask...

"Good, and as for that. I have been alive for 50,000 years, and while living for that long, I have been watching ponies from either close by or from a distance. You could say I have developed a sense, but I can only tell from your emotions and attitude. I am no mind reader." Bane heads out of the teacher's lounge and towards the classroom. He enters the classroom and sits down at his teacher's desk. There is another desk next to his.

Nightstar shaked her head in disagreement, but didn't say a word while she walked to the Ancient Magic classroom; her classroom.
She reached her desk and sat on the chair. For some reason the young pony started to think about herself. How many years has it been now? Fifteen...? It always feels like ages...

Dreams shoved the thought to the back of her mind, cursing herself for thinking about those things. She hit herself on the muzzle lightly to snap out of it too. She didn't want to continue with the small cube, not yet. Instead, she took her unique book from its container and placed it on her desk. The book was not giant but not small either. It had a red cover and the title was unclear. Nightstar opened the book and started reading. That made her feel a little comfortable.
11
"Hmph. How can you say such things when you don't even know me." She started, and looked to the side with an angry expression. "I suppose you also have some sort of mind reading device or spell, considering what you said you basically read all my thoughts of that moment." The young pony then faced the older one again, standing firm both on her legs and words, not waiting for his answer. "Yeah okay I'll go. I don't know if I'll handle another teacher bothering my research." She was being serious, not making any jokes. But got everything ready to follow the professor, perhaps she could continue there. Her research was all she had.
12
Whispering Winds watched as the younger pony left the area with the teacher she had met before she came to class, right after arriving at the academy. She felt like they didn't want her presence so she didn't follow them. And besides, she was still in class. What was professor Shard doing again? The light green pegasus averted her gaze to the dragonology professor and tried speaking with him. Anything to bring the class back on track. "Err... so is there anything else you can tell us that you consider worth telling...?" She finally landed on her hooves, near Shard, after spending quite a while on air. She thought it would be better if she did.

"I see you are experimenting with the gift I gave you. It doesn't seem like it is in good condition. Let me help with that." Bane approaches Dreams and the cube. He sits down and touches the cube. He notices the flickers and moved his face closer to the cube. Bane closes his eyes and blows a soothing blue-gold color air into the cube. The cube begins to light up. Bane taps the top part of it and it opens up. Inside contains a sort of infinite space, capable of containing almost anything inside. "There, that should do it. Ancient Magic is a bit tricky, especially dealing with devices containing both Ancient Magic and the power of the crystal the Ancients used. If you were trying to rewrite the formula used on it, you need a specific tool and a certain spell to rewrite devices like this."

"I don't really plan to rewrite it, I just want to study the formula used on this. Perhaps I'll be able to apply its properties elsewhere aswell, perhaps not. Can't say everything will have compatibility with it but that's what I'm currently working on aswell." Nightstar told her acquaintance as she watched him. That pony, seriously, he doesn't seem to understand her potential. Her capacity. Her genius mind. The young pony sighed. "I know magic alright, I don't need you to teach me anything. I can make and redo formulas without anything of that, I've been doing this ever since I could read!" She raised her voice. He didn't understand her, and she was getting angry at him. Why couldn't ponies leave her alone? They always like to call her a weirdo and being bugged cuts her concentration.

The guard bot leaves the teacher's lounge and returns back to class. It bumps on Bane's head, waking him up. "So she hasn't come back yet?" He gets up. "I might as well see what she is doing." He leaves the classroom and heads towards the teacher's lounge, there he spots Dreams.

"Hmm... perhaps it needs just a little ignition..." Dreams told herself in a quiet tone. Saying this she places the cube on the ground, grabbing her sash afterwards and begins to concentrate magical energy in it. Five more seconds passed and she touched the cube. The contact with it made a flickering sound, she didn't know if it was a bad or a good sigh. It was probably the former.

She notices that Bane is in the room with her right after she finishes. "I didn't see you there." She addresses him, putting away her sash while doing so.
15
Nightstar looked at the message quickly, paying almost no attention to it. She was busy researching. "Yeah, yeah, alright." The small pony nodded slightly, trying to avoid distractions."Is he also calling for me now? Hmph."
16
Whispering Winds spoke after thinking for a little moment. "Tis' not a pet of any sort I would think. And you could call it understanding rather than humiliation." She finished. Those words should be enough for everypony present to know what she meant.

Nightstar Dreams

The small pony analysed the cube with interest, of course. She was searching for the 'magical keyboard' of the item. If it has any. After all, she is used to working with this. Formulas can be changed and seen more easily with it. Shaking her head due to another unsuccessful attempt, she did not back away from the research. She never did.
17
Bane's words fell into nopony's ears, as professor Dreams was not there anymore. She was at the teachers' lounge, studying the cube that he had given her earlier; she was very concentrated. Alongside her was her own book, she was also trying to discover wheter the cube uses a formula for its functions or not. This is what she likes to do, after all.
18
"Thanks, but I got some research to do and I'd prefer doing that over playing with a cart." She began, but realized that she was only talking to herself as Bane had already left the room. "Hmph, is he teasing me be because of my age now... whatever." So much for a quick look, but according to her schedule it would be a while till her class so time wasn't really a problem. She sighed, and moved out of the classroom towards the teachers' lounge. Reaching the door Nightstar went inside, taking a seat and taking out the little cube that the professor had given her, analysing it more closely. She was completely oblivious to her surroundings and did not know if other professors or staff members were there with her.
19
"I have my ways around books. As well as some unique ones." She looked at the bag she was carrying designed for a single book. "This is one. And yes, you should ask for one big space for practical applications of lessons. You will see that some of my spells are really destructive and I'd rather not take the risk." She then takes the book that was offered to her. "You see, every spell has a formula. It is something very noticeable if you take the time to analyse it. That's what I do, I decipher formulas and with them new spells. There are also machines and gadgets powered by certain formulas, I deal with those aswell. It is something that takes alot of time and knowledge of the subject... And its not the same as unicorn magic, its completely different." She finishes, eyeing the small cube that was now visible.
20
"Yes, yes. I remember reading something about this..." She was about to get lost in her thoughts but came to her senses quickly, nodding. "And I'm assuming you don't work with formulas then. Well, I would like to borrow a book on the subject nevertheless." She began. "And unless we have two different classrooms, I think we will need one more teacher's desk."

This made professor Dreams remember something, crucial to her methods if anypony wanted to keep things in order. "Do we have a place where we can cast spells freely without the risk of destroying something else in the process? It has to be considerably big."
