So yeah, this has been long overdue. I've been a member of the forum for quite a while... but I haven't really posted anything  Time to fix that.

Hello, one and all, my name is InsertCoolUsernameHere (or I.C.U.H for short), and I am one of the newest writers of LoE. I joined the team in February, on Valentine's Day to be exact.

I recently attended BABScon with several other members of the team. We were there as featured guests and had computers available to try out for the OSW. While I wasn't on the panel, I was the one running the game table for most of the con. If you tried the game out at the con, you probably met me. In which case, shoot me a message or something   

I also write fanfiction when I get the chance. Currently I have two stories out titled "Of High Seas and Howling Winds" and "Mares of Tomorrow", both of which have been featured on Equestria Daily. Unfortunately, the second story is on hiatus, and I haven't updated either one in quite a while due to school, work, and my recent acceptance onto LoE. I plan to change that over the summer break, though.

I'd answer this question, but I think my position speaks for itself 

I can answer facets of it, though. I don't really own a lot of merch. I try to attend a fair amount of conventions. I wouldn't consider myself to be a hardcore fan, but I do really like the show; I just won't get into arguments over it and/or reference it 24/7. I really like some of the art that's done, if that weren't obvious from my OC commissions. And the music in the fandom is amazing. Especially Princewhateverer.

As I said, an rp-only server for the OSW may be feasible. It just can't be a permanent thing

So, just so I'm getting this right, you wanted a rp-only server open during the next open server weekend? That I can actually ask about, if you want. I can't make any promises though.

Having one open even when the rest of the servers are down would kind of defeat the purpose, see. Everyone would flock to that, regardless of the rp-only nature, and the game would be so bogged down that we couldn't get any work done.

So I have to ask, do you mean 100% of the time during an open server? Otherwise, we cannot actually accommodate that, regardless of how many people vote on this.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I can answer your question, as I don't know what it takes to be a texture artist. As for whether we are still recruiting in that department... I think we are. Last time I checked, applications were opened on January 27th, and since then only the PR department has stopped recruiting. Even if I'm wrong, it wouldn't hurt to try. You can find the information you need on the main website page. Just scroll down until you find the post for Jan. 27th, then follow the instructions as to who you must e-mail for the department you're interested in.

The only thing I could picture after reading that was all of us dancing for the entertainment of some shadowy council as they silently rate our performance  Just the way it was worded or something.

Anyway, that comes as a relief. I know they don't usually send out e-mails to those who don't make the cut, so I was starting to think I may not have made it in. Thank God I have work to distract me from the anxiety...

I know, but it's not as hard as one would think. The tricky part for me will probably stopping myself at 2000 words, because I usually write lengthy, elaborate stories.

I'm right there with you. I've never had to limit myself to 2000 words before. That's going to be the biggest struggle for me.
