Pony Off-Topic Archive / OC Cutie Mark Design Suggestions...

In anticipation of LoE, and just for fun, I'd like to design an OC cutie mark for myself! The problem I'm running into is that I am an architecture student, so I'd like there to be some suggestion of that in the design, but the only iconic imagery I can think of would be a triangle and compass which...also are symbolic of Freemasonry, which I'm not meaning to suggest.
So my question for you is, what would be an iconic item or image that would make you think "Oh, architectural design!" without being as literal as, say, a building?
Could I use the traditional imagery without going too far into Da Vinci Code territory?

Hi everypony! My name is Alisa, I obviously chose a cute username in anticipation of LoE and I'll answer to either name 
I have been in love with FIM for a short time by most standards (since Dec. 8, 2012 I remember Sleepless in Ponyville was my first episode) but I've never joined a community of fans...I've lurked at Equestria Daily though. 
Although I'm not sure if I'm "in" the fandom, I am mostly in it for the cute factor and the merch collection! I try to be selective since I am a gotta-catch-'em-all type, so I've started with the pony Funko vinyls, Funko POP! and We Love Fine's adorable backpacks. As the women's apparel available gets better and better, I'm sure I'll be buying that too. I also really enjoy the art created and save so many pretty graphics so that I can just have them to enjoy.
Although I missed the stress test not too many months ago, I'm sure I'll be playing LoE when it is available. I couldn't resist the forum's beautiful layout! I'm very glad to be here
