In a world dominated mostly by monsters, every sentient life lives in cities or villages surrounded by high walls and big gates. Inside them everyone lives at peace and enjoys their day to day lives. The monsters though do not leave these settlements alone and often attack the walls in hopes to breach them. They are prevented by specially trained individuals that keep everyone safe behind the walls. These warriors are trained by entering specialized schools in each city by their own will.

After thinking long and hard about this, I think I'm going to choose Akkei since she'd probably fit in better in a city full of people!  lol

Appearance: slim ginger with icy blue eyes (I'll post that picture I showed you before when it's colored! It'll be better if you can see her outfit instead of me describing it!)
Personality: short tempered, sly, independent, egotistic, yet loyal
Likes: playing pranks, tofu
Dislikes: dogs
Bio: No one around town seems to know much about her. She usually keeps to herself and tries to avoid much conversation with other citizens. She is has recently enrolled in the academy and is eagerly awaiting her first day.

No problem. lol But anyway you could've just worked everything in a RP post. Also usually when speaking out of character people use double brackets (( )). But Don't worry about it.  ^-^

Rhilin woke up and got up. Today was the day! Today was the first school day of the academy. Her dream of fighting the creatures from outside is on it's way to become a reality. Rhilin was a young girl in her early twenties with short white hair and blue eyes. She made her mourning routine in the bathroom and got dressed with a blue and white dress, blue hooded cloak and white tights. Rhilin then took her scythe which she mainly kept in her room. She finally checked if she got everything and went to the door. Rhilin put on her blue and white boots.
"I'm going!" she said to her family and exited the house.

((Oops! You're right! I'll remember that for next time!  lol))

Akkeiyo stood in front of the gigantic building before her. She had a satchel hanging from her shoulder and an ambitious smile crept onto her face. She scanned the architecture from top to bottom. She thought to herself:
So this is where I'll be spending my next few years? Heh, it's not too shabby. Maybe I'll actually enjoy my time here.

((Yeah details on building will be sketchy. lol))

Suddenly someone bumped into Akkeiyo from behind. It was Rhilin with her scythe on her back and a paper in hand that appears to be a map and information about the school.
"Sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going."

Akkeiyo stumbles forward. Once she regained her balance, she gave a malicious glare at the girl behind her.
"You should have been!" Akkeiyo growled. Her anger subsided when she spotted the papers in the girl's hands. Akkeiyo turned to face the girl.
"What are those?" she bluntly asked, pointing to the papers with her arms crossed.

"Geez, I said I was sorry." :l Rhilin said quietly.
"This is a map and some information for the academy but I don't think you're interested in it."

Akkeiyo grimaced. Where they giving those out or something...? She couldn't remember ever getting one. So that's what she forgot to get before the first day... Akkeiyo swore under her breath.
She regained her composure, "I... guess you're in luck then! Lead me around the school and I might forgive you." She gave a fake, sly smile as sweat rolled down her face.

"I'm not that desperate for your forgiveness. Now if you excuse me I don't wan to be late for my first day." Rhil said and passed Akkeiyo and headed towards the school.

Akkeiyo became infuriated. She would let it slide for now but she would have to remember to get back at the nameless girl for her ignorant response.
She gave a huff of fury and made her way toward her classes.

((I'm gonna go with the 'get your bearings around the school' first day rather than some which start classes immediately. lol))

The two weren't the only ones that were going to join the school. The new arrivals gathered in a big hall and waited for whatever they had planned. There weren't seats due to the many new students each year, half of which will undoubtedly be expelled when they start to fail their classes. Not long after the director of the school and his assistant stepped on stage and approached the mic.
"Hello and welcome to everyone." he started. "It's my pleasure to welcome you to the school of Nocte Fulgentes. One of the many schools dedicated in preparing the future protectors of our cities. As you may already know you will be able to choose part of your classes depending on your fighting style. Keep in mind though that there are also mandatory classes which you will see upon sign-up. Your classes start tomorrow at 8:00 AM so use the rest of the day to get yourself familiar with the school grounds. That is all so good luck to everyone with their classes." After that he and his assistant exited stage left.

Everyone started to exit and to head to the many sign-up desks that were now open outside the hall. The teachers  were handling out sheets for the students to fill up and a map with the available classes that you could choose from. Also it had listed the mandatory ones.
Rhilin grabbed both things since hers didn't had full list of the classes. The information sheet had a map of the school and the rooms were numbered in addition it showed the dorms and other facilities. The back of the list were the classes and in brackets it was written in what category they were. Rhilin leaned against a wall and started to view the classes.

Rhilin didn't like when she had mandatory classes though most of them made sense. On the other hand she loathed gym because there the teacher made her do the dumbest and pointless things.
'I hope the mandatory ones aren't as bad as the ones in my previous school.' she thought. She then shuddered of the thought about math. Sure it wasn't hard but in the last years it got too hard way too fast.
She then looked at the sign up form. It was pretty basic that included personal information such as full name, DOB, gender and etc. It also included several free spaces for the optional classes in which it said in brackets that you must choose at least one.
Rhilin then did a quick search for a pen or a pencil but didn't found one. 'How could I forget a pen?' she sighed  and started walking towards one of the sign-ups.

Akkeiyo reviewed the list of classes. The mandatory subjects sounded like they were going to be a cinch for her. The only trouble was would possibly be able to sit still and be quiet while the teachers lecture on about the topic. The "Magic Casting and Incantations" and "Hand to Hand Combat" classes would be more of her field out of the optional courses. She couldn't possibly picture herself swinging at an opponent with a weapon. The only thing that she had relative knowledge of how to handle was a dagger and that would be outright silly against any sort of enemy for that matter!

The ginger scooped out a pen from her satchel and scribbled down her information: Akkeiyo Hiteiru, June 21, female, and so on. She signed up for the mandatory and the two optional classes she chose. "There! I'm finished!" She looked at her completed sheet as if it were a work of art.

((By the way, is this a dorm or do the students go home at the end of the day?  :D))

((I am thinking that there are dorms for those who live far away. I'm indecisive if Rhilin should stay or not but if you want we can get them both into dorms. lol))

Rhilin managed to get a pen from one of the teachers. Between all the commotion of the sheet handling and the other students forgetting a pen, it was a miracle she found one. She quickly wrote her personal information and her classes which apart from the mandatory were "Magic casting and incantations" and "Two-handed weapons". After all she already had some practise handling her scythe. She double checked it for just in case and gave it to the teacher who then stamped it and written the number of the sheet.
"Come back later to see your classes for tomorrow and to get your number. And if you want a dorm you should go to them. There should be someone to sing you up for one." she said to Rhilin.
"Okay. Thanks!" she said and made her way out of the crowd and headed for the open school grounds.

((By number I mean that one unique number that you get so you are easier to find in the database. Also should there be teams like RWBY? lol))

((It's totally up to you about the dorms! I feel like having teams would be really fun though! I'd give Akkei and Rhil more of a chance to interact! Plus, a little competition never hurt anyone!  B)))

Akkeiyo gave her completed slip to a teacher and made her way towards the courtyard. All of the students who have already signed up seemed to be gathering her to converse. She didn't know what compelled her feet to drag her here since she had no intention of making friends, but it occupied her at the least. She scanned the crowd of faces in order to get a good look at her prey.

((Okay. Teams are a go but probably they won't be permanent as RWBY's since well...optional classes. I'm gonna have Rhilin sign for a dorm because she lives on the other side of the city. lol))

Rhilin was walking between the masses of people. She wasn't very social so she stuck only to looking the different people and their weapons.

((Indeed! They can be teams made for a single project or assignment!  :] I'll probably sign Akkei up for one too since she'd probably just sleep in a dumpster otherwise!  lol Also, Rhilin and Akkei are in the same place, right?))

Akkeiyo eavesdropped and watched from afar with her arms crossed as the other students conversed. After overhearing one particular exchange of words, she pretended to playfully smoosh the head of a boy that was showing off his supposedly expensive and powerful weapon to the small crowd of students around her. "What a chump," she scoffed. It was all in how you used the weapon, not the value of it. Even she knew that and she didn't even own one herself.
The fun of snooping around the student body quickly expired and she gave a sigh out of boredom. She recalled that she had to sign up for a dorm soon before the good rooms (and unfortunately roommates) were taken.

Rhilin was casually walking around and looking what the others had brought. Some were carrying heavy weapons like two handed battle axes or big swords. Some chose single handed swords or some maces. She even saw some magicians who demonstrated their magic and some fist weapons. Then all of the sudden she remembered that she needs to take a dorm if she doesn't want a long way to home. Rhilin then took out her map and hurriedly headed for the dorms.

Akkeiyo carefully made her way around the school with a newly acquired map gripped in her hands. Reading maps wasn't really her forte but she was, luckily, successful in her endeavors to get to the female dorm sign ups. She peeked up from her map to see a blue figure just feet ahead of her in the hallway. Within no time at all, Akkeiyo remembered that blue clothed human. That was the girl from before! Sudden fury steamed from her as she gritted her teeth at the memory.
Then, a realization came to her. If she didn't get to the sign ups quick enough, she might be stuck with the one girl that she was on bad terms with! As a result, Akkeiyo decided to quicken her pace while, at the same time, trying not to attract attention.

((Her main colour is White or did you forget how you coloured her? lol))

Rhilin managed to sign-up for the dorms which turned out that she will be sharing with another girl.She got her key to a room and with a relief she turned around without paying too much attention to the crowd and opened her map again.
'My parents should be here soon. I only need to collect my luggage.' she then turned to the teacher who was holding the sign-ups. "When can we move in?"
"After receiving your key you are free to move in." she said.
"Okay. Thanks!" Rhil said and started to walk towards the exit.

((Ooops! I was thinking about the blue colors that I added to her outfit today! Silly me!  lol))

Akkeiyo managed to avoid the girl as she made her way to the dorm sign ups. She quickly gave her information to the teacher as if it were a race. When the teacher informed her about getting a key, Akkeiyo gave a confused look.
"Don't I get to choose my roommate or something?"
"We assign roommates randomly. We do this as a way to get everybody familiar with one another."
Akkeiyo's mood fell and she swore under her breath. Then, she straightened back up again with a confident smile.
What are the odds that I would be stuck with that girl?
Akkeiyo chuckled a bit to herself in delight and then joyfully walked away from the sign ups.

((Odds are pretty high of your creator pairing you up with her. lol))

Back through the now more quiet school grounds and empty school corridor, Rhilin managed to arrive at the main entrance from which she entered. There her mom and dad were waiting with a suitcase on wheels and a long handle, which she packed before coming. She walked towards them and gave them a quick summary of how it was so far before they had the chance to ask.
"Well I'm glad that everything is going just as you wanted." her mother said and handed her the suitcase.
"Thanks. I'll be sure to give you a call every other week and visit during the holidays." Whilin said and turned around towards the school.
"Bye mom, dad. I'll miss you!"
"Bye!" they said together before leaving as well.

((Hehe! It's a creator's duty to make their character suffer whenever possible!  =P))

As Akkeiyo wandered through the halls, exploring the school, she heard her name called from the direction of the dorm sign up area. She made her way towards the voice.
"Here's your key, Miss Hiteiru. You'll be staying in room 42 just down the hall."
Akkeiyo collected the dorm key and checked her satchel. Although it was small, it managed to carry the bare essentials. Once she decided that she was finally ready to move in, she found the room and opened it. It wasn't much in size, only big enough for two twin sized beds, dressers, closets, and a special weapon closet, but it would have to do.
"I guess since I'm the first one here I get to pick my bed!" She evaluated both sides of the room. Both looked symmetrical.
"The bed on the left seems to be slightly taller than the other one... Looks like it's mine now!
She belly flopped onto the bed.

((feel free to add details to the room! I just thought of what came to mind when I stayed in dorms for summer camps! I chose one of my beds based it's tallness also! lol))

The rooms weren't fitted with much which allowed the students to decorate as they wished. The rooms also had a table in the corner with a couple of chairs. ((For all those all-nighters lol))

Meanwhile Rhilin was searching for her room also and was dragging her suitcase behind her.
She counted the rooms as she went by them quietly to herself. "38...39...40...41...ah here it is, 42" she then proceeded to put her key into the door and to unlock only to find that it was already open.
'I guess my room-mate is already here.' she thought and opened the door slowly.
"Hello?"

((If memory serves, didn't your previous message say "hello?" at the end?  o.O I don't believe a simple greeting would be breaching the forum rules in any way. Censoring a common greeting just because it so happens to contain a swear word is quite preposterous!  >:())

Akkeiyo was on the bed, laying on her side with one hand on her hip and the other propping her head up.
"It's about time you got he-"
She stopped mid sentence as she saw the face at the door. Her calm attitude disappeared, leaving pure shock and irritation.
"You're that girl from before; that one that ran into me this morning! What are you doing in my room?!"

((It does? I mean I still see it. I don't think the translation of "they burn" in latin is worth censoring. Made me change the name of the school.))

Rhilin stared blankly at her with a key in her right arm and the suitcase's handle in th other. She then looked at the number on the key and then on the number of the door.
"Well now it's my room too. And here I hoped for a nice roommate." Rhilin said and entered the room and look around.

((How strange! I swear it said "Read the forum rules.o?" yesterday! Perhaps a mod noticed and changed it?  o.O I'd love to hear the name of the academy that you've come up with though! Would you mind adding it to the end of one of our PMs if you remember?  :P))

Akkeiyo huffed and crossed her arms. "Trust me. I'm not any more thrilled about this than you, Snow White."
She gave a grunt and rolled onto her back, looking at the girl upside-down. "Since we're stuck together you might as well give me your name. That is..." She gave a devilish smirk. "Unless you'd rather me call you Snow White for the rest of your life."

Rhilin frowned at the new nickname. She never had one in her pervious school but this one she did not like. "Rhilin. What's yours?" she said and looked over to the beds. "I guess the other one is mine."

((Wouldn't it be censored there too?  o.O Maybe if you enter the skype I'll send ya. or just translate "They burn"or something in latin which reminds me translate the current name form latin. lol))

"Akkeiyo," she simply stated while giving a crooked smirk and waving her legs in the air. She then turned back on her stomach.
"Yeah. That's your half of the room," she said as she pointed to it. "Keep over there and I'll resist the urge to turn your belongings to ash."
In order to prove that her threat wasn't hollow, Akkeiyo snapped her fingers and a small blue flame lit up from the tip of her index finger.

"Put that flame out Ak-ei-io before you burn the room." Rhilin said and made her way to her bed. She left her scythe leaned against the wall and sat on the opposite side from Akkeiyo with her back facing towards the roommate. "Also you aren't the only magic user in this room so don't threaten me." Rhilin noted and began to unzip her suitcase and unpack.

Akkeiyo gave a hearty laugh and doused her flame. This girl had a fire in her and would certainly not put up with her antics.
"So you're a magic and two handed user? Impressive," she mused. "Where'd you get your scythe from?"

Rhilin continued unpacking and putting her stuff in drawers and on her night stand that was next to her bed. She was surprised that Akkeiyo was impressed or interested in something more than just her name. She answered her question without looking at her and just doing her business. "It was custom build in one of the forges in the city. What about you? Are you only a magic wielder?"

"Pretty much. I learned all that I know from my family," Akkeiyo said. She suddenly sat up.
"You know... Rhilin, was it? You don't seem like the type that would want to venture over the wall." Akkeiyo's eyes turned cold and serious. "You know what kind of monsters are out there, don't you?" She folded her legs and faced Rhilin's back.
"There are ones with gigantic fangs that could eat you with one gulp," she passionately said as if she was telling a ghost story while she made fangs with her index fingers.
"Or others have long claws that could shred someone like paper," Akkeiyo held her hands like claws of a cat ready to pounce.
"And don't even get me started on the ones that breathe fire!" she snickered as she crossed her arms again with a challenging grin.

"I doubt you know what type I am to make such assumption." Rhilin said and gave Akkeiyo a brief annoying look.
"But if you want to talk about types then you look like the who seeks only treasure and glory. If that's the case you are no better than those students who bragged about their big and expensive weapons."

((Rhilin's and Akkeiyo's meeting reminds me of Ruby's and Weiss's meeting in RWBY. Also their interaction is somewhat similar. lol))

Akkeiyo's eyes glinted as if she were about to protest Rhilin's statement. She, instead, focused her attention out the window.
"Hmm... you know, you may not be entirely wrong." Akkeiyo gave a small, insightful smile as she closed her eyes and thought about it. "I would say it's a bit more complex than that but who am I to say?"
Akkeiyo's eyelid jolted open and she crossed her legs over the edge of the bed. She then gave one of her mischievous grins again that overflowed with arrogance.
"I will say, though, that there's much more to me than you may think."

((Ha! Yeah! Except Weiss and Ruby's fight was more one sided with Weiss yelling at Ruby the whole time while Rhilin and Akkeiyo are both holding their own equally and verbally duking it out!  lol))

Rhilin put her last piece of clothes in the drawer, closed it and leaned against it looking to Akkeiyo with no particular expression. "If you say so. We're stuck with each other in any case."
Then suddenly a noise was heard from the school's speakers that were dotted everywhere around the school.
"The programs with the classes for each student are ready. Please come and collect yours at the sign-up. Any uncollected schedule will be discarded." and with that the announcement ended.
"I guess we should go." Rhilin said and picked up her scythe which then she putted on her back.

((Terribly sorry, Night! It's been a very busy two days! X3 I'll respond to your PM tomorrow!))

Akkeiyo nodded her head in agreement and walked out the door. She walked alongside Rhilin towards the "sign-up" area.

((Okay. I hope your weekend is more free. :) ))

Once Rhilin and Akkeiyo reached the sign-ups they saw that all of the students were in lines in front of each desk. There were three piles of papers and three teachers on a desk that were giving out the individual programme. On each desk there were  numbers that were each individual's personal number. That was done to help students to learn in which line they should wait as the teachers searched the piles for each sheet.
"This will take some time." Rhilin said and went to her line.

((I hope you could understand my unorganized thought. lol If not I'll try and explain it differently. Also I'll make a time skip after you start to wait.))

((Ha! I hope so too!  lol))

"No kidding," Akkeiyo dully commented. Akkeiyo also went to her line and waited impatiently.

((I think I understand it! You mean it like 1-100 in line one, 101-200 in line two and so on?  :D Thank goodness! I can't wait to get to classes and to go hunting!  B)))

((If you want we can skip after seeing the program to the first day. Also yeah. lol Now to think of a program...I think I'll use my university's design here. lol ))

After a long wait the two finally got their schedules. Looking at them they could see their entire week and in what rooms and what kind of class. ((I'll make them day by day if that's alright with you. It would save me writing it all at once and we returning to this page to see what classes we have. Once we have the entire week I'll post it in the first post or something.))




'They're grouping them by two? I hope they don't get too boring, even my interest has limits. It also appears that they are mostly six on a day with the last days being field practise.' Rhil thought and made her way back to her room while looking at the other days.

((Nah! We don't have to skip it! I want to hear the program that you came up with!  :D Ok! Sounds good! I like the way you set it up with the field practice at the end of the week! It's very practical! :D))

"There are nothing but lectures the whole day?! You've got to be kidding me!" Akkeiyo complained. She knew that she wouldn't enjoy the lectures much but it would all be worth it when the field practice days came around. Akkeiyo took one last hard look at her schedule before starting back towards her room.

((I'm making it on the spot.  X3 I'll finish the eyes on Night in the comic and make the rest of it.))

In her room Rhilin took out her alarm clock and putted it on her night stand. She then started searching her suitcase for pens and notebooks.

((Ok! Take your time!  :D))

Akkeiyo swung the dorm door open rather noisily and walked into the room.
"All that waiting for a little sheet of paper!" Akkeiyo complained. She plopped rather dramatically onto her bed. She looked over to her roommate once her act was over.
"What is your schedule looking like, Rhilly?"

((Already posted. See last post or first post. :) ))

They hardly knew each other and Akkeiyo already was calling her like a friend.
"As one might expect." she said while continuing to search without looking at her roommate.

((Nicely done! How long are the classes usually?  :D Also, what time is it?))

Akkeiyo gave an irritated huff. Boredom overcame her quite quickly. Akkeiyo took the bracelet off of her wrist, which revealed to be merely a crystalline sphere tied to a long loop of thin string, and began twirling it around in her fingers. She let some heat escape from her fingers, making the ball warm to the touch and adding a gleam to it.

((And I think you're right about skipping! I thought by "program" you meant an introduction or something! My bad!  lol))

((I dunno about time but you can say it got dark and Akkeiyo went to bed. I'll put Rhily after her and bring the morning. lol))

"Found them!" said Rhilin not as much to Akkeiyo as to herself. She then puted aside a notebook and a pen for tomorrow's classes.

((Okie doke!  :D))

Akkeiyo shot up from Rhilin's exclamation.
"Huh? What?" Akkeiyo mumbled. She looked around with weary eyes. She hadn't realized until then that she dozed off. Akkeiyo looked at the source of the sound and grumbled at her antics. She fell back down on her bed and was out like a light.

Rhilin looked out of the window and saw that it was already dark.
"Today went really fast." she said to herself and went to one of the drawers. She made a quick search and pulled out her p-jays. She made a quick change and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth before finally setting the alarm for 7:00 AM, turning off the lights and went to bed. ((Yes the room has a bathroom now. lol))

--Morning--

The alarm sounded as it showed 7:00 AM. The sun was just beginning to rise and Rhilin made an attempt to turn off the alarm without rising, which failed. She then sat up in her bed and narrowly opened her eyes. She stopped the alarm.
"And I thought the mornings would be better here." she said quietly still half asleep.

((Yay! Private bathrooms!  :D))

Akkeiyo steadily got up and stretched, giving a gigantic yawn in the process. She was used to waking up at sunrise so it was much easier for her to awaken. She got out of bed and continued stretching.
"Up and at 'um, Snow White; don't want anyone to think that you've bitten a poison apple on the first day," Akkeiyo said to Rhilin matter-of-factly.

Rhilin grumped angrily at her nickname. It appeared that it was here to stay. She didn't say anything but instead made her way to the bathroom where she washed her eyes, brushed her teeth and comb her hair. Then she got out a bit more woken up.
"I wonder what kind of breakfast we can get?"

Akkeiyo brushed her hair and her teeth. She wasn't much of a hygienic person but she managed to keep up her image somehow.
"I don't know but I hope it's at least edible," Akkeiyo said. She straightened out her outfit and picked up her satchel. "Have any idea where to cafeteria is?"

"No idea." Rhilin said while putting on her dress. She then looked at the time to see it's 7:20.
"At this rate I doubt we'll have time for breakfast." and then Rhily putted her hooded cloak and got her scythe.

((Speaking of dresses in the new RWBY episode, I think Blake, commented on how Weiss wore a dress while fighting. She then said that it's a battle skirth and Ruby entered said "Yeah" and gave her a high five. lol))

Akkeiyo became disappointed at the idea of skipping breakfast. As if on cue, her stomach growled. Oh well, there was nothing she could do. Rhilin was right; classes before food. She could hold off for a while, but she was definitely going to want a giant lunch.
The ginger looked at her schedule once more and found her first class on the school map.
"I'm gonna start making my way to my magic class," she informed Rhilin.

((Ha! I really need to catch up on RWBY! What is a skirth exactly then? lol))

"I have that one too. I guess we'll be sharing some classes as well." Rhilin said while re-checking her program and making sure in which room she had. She then headed for the said room. Upon arrival it appeared that they got a few minutes early as the professor hadn't arrived yet and the room was locked.
"Why do they lock the rooms? I doubt we'll steal the desks." Rhil made a quick comment and in that moment the teacher arrived with the keys and unlocked the room. Many students entered the big lecture room with many seats which were faced towards the only black board in the room. Rhilin sat on the first row and took out her notebook and pen.

((I've heard that the first season/volume is near the end so if you want you can wait it up. The actual name Weiss used was 'Combat skirt'. lol I think she meant that it's not just a dress and is designed to wear it in battle.))

Akkeiyo entered the room and sat more towards the back. She didn't want to be in direct vision of the teacher. She looked around and saw Rhilin's choice of desk.
"Teacher's pet," she grumbled. Akkeiyo then waited with her head resting in her hand for the teacher to begin their lesson.

((That desk stealing comment made me laugh more than I should have! In some parks around where I live they chain the picnic tables to trees so that people won't steal them or something!  lol I'll probably get to it sometime soon! The real challenge is going to be figuring out where I left off! lol Also, should we give some looks and personality to the teachers?))

The teacher went and took central position behind the desk.
"Good morning, students!" he began "My name is Julian Brennan. I teach the classes about magic and alchemy. The textbook with spells can be picked up in the library and it's with the same name as the class. It doesn't contain anything more than how to do spells and their kind so if you want to pass here you need to attend. If you make noise you will be asked to leave." Julian started like many teachers with their criteria before beginning the lesson.
"Magic as you might know is possessed by every living creature but only be used by the ones who practise and refine their ability. Undead creation, which you will learn more in your other class more thoroughly, are magic based and do not use it directly. To refine your skills in the magic arts most of all you have to experiment and practise your spells. Some of you might wonder 'can't I just go out and enchants it with souls?'. The answer is not quite. This method should only be done by people who have control over their abilities or they would quickly lose control and cast something not very desirable by them or their teammates. " the professor walked back and forth while speaking. Rhilin was taking notes of key things that seemed important even though she already knew some of them. In this two part lecture, where it had 5 minutes brake between the first and second class, the teacher went through the basics of spells which were in two types: one of them being without incantation which were quick to make and fast to use, and the second being with incantation which were the more massive and most powerful but needed time to cast the spell. He also went through basic magic spells such as small projectiles, creating a piece of an element ((small fireball)) and etc. At the end of the second part of the lecture he wrote three simple incantations on the board and said.
"Here are three spells that need to be said in order to work. Your job is to practise them because you will be using them on Thursday. I will leave you to find out what they are. Also practise making spells without incantations like I said earlier in our lesson. Dismissed."
At the sound of the last word everyone started packing and leaving the room. Rhilin, who had written the most important things about how to cast a spell, closed her notebook, stood up and headed towards the exit.

Yeah they aren't long so you can always start from the most memorable thing. Well I don't plan to give anything specific apart from talking and names so you're free to give them appearance and stuff.))

For most of the class time, Akkeiyo stared at the teacher in utter boredom. She had already known the basics of magic and only occasionally did the teacher spout information that she wasn't aware of. Akkeiyo didn't bother to take notes since she already knew most of the material and figured that she could remember the few facts she didn't know previously. Plus, she didn't want her hand to fall off after all of the notes she would have had to write, especially since it was only the first lecture she would be sitting through for the day.
Akkeiyo merely wrote down the three incantations on a slip of paper and reviewed them. They didn't seem like they would be difficult at all to master but she still hadn't the slightest clue of what they were. She put the slip of paper in her satchel to practice with later.
Her expression perked up when she saw Rhilin heading for the exit. She maneuvered her way through the crowd like a snake and caught up to the white haired girl. In order to cure herself of boredom, she gingerly swiped Rhilin's pen and began twiddling it around in her fingers like some new game.

((But a picnic bench! Really?! Out of all things! You wouldn't exactly get very far with it since it's so heavy!  lol
Meh, that's good enough! I'm too tired at the moment to possibly think!  lol))

Rhilin tried to not let go of the pen but failed. She then looked Akkeiyo with the most annoyed look she has ever saw from her.
"Very funny and mature. Give it back."  :l

((If there's a will they will find a way to steal it . lol
Also RWBY has finished and the ending was awesome. :D))

Akkeiyo seemingly ignored Rhilin's demand and continued to spin the pen between her fingers.
"That teacher sure could talk! I was nearly bored to tears half way through," Akkeiyo grumbled.

((So sorry, Night! This weekend was bad all the way around!  >.<
Ha! I guess so!  lol
Sweet! I think I'll watch it today!  :D))

Rhilin frowned even more. "I wish you fail quickly so you would move out."
All of the students already exited the room and the teacher walked to the two girls.
"What's the problem? Come on and exit, I need to lock the room."

((Ah...mine was pretty nice. I would ask why was it awful but it's not about the RP.  X3 If you want send it via a message.
Oh and recent clear up from Chishio. Volume 1 from the first season has ended. Season 1 of RWBY hasn't ended yet, they are just taking a breake.))

Akkeiyo flicked the pen back to Rhilin.
"Then our feelings are mutual towards each other. Keep counting your stars though, Snowy; Magic is my strong suit." Akkeiyo then mockingly ruffled Rhilin's hair and snickered, "You'd get lonely in that dorm room without me to liven the place anyway!"
Akkeiyo gave an annoyed look in response to the teacher's command but complied.

((Naw! That's ok! I wouldn't want to whine to you about it!  lol
Really? I've never heard of a show doing that! The animators sure deserve a break though after the rate they've been cranking out these episodes!  lol))

Rhilin caught her pen and left the room with no further comments then the teacher locked the room behind them. Rhily then headed towards her next class which was about two handed weapons.

((Okay. You can always annoy me with stuff. lol Yeah I was surprised too and I though volume was referring to season but I guess not. lol ))

Akkeiyo began the walk to her hand to hand combat class, curious about how the class will be taught.

((Should we each describe our own class or something?  lol
I already annoy you enough with other specific subjects!  lol))

((Yeah since I do not know much about hand to hand fight. lol I imagine something like Yang's fight style. The first lectures will be with basics and introductions.))

Rhilin reached the second room for her classes. It was pretty similar with the first one and she waited yet again for the teacher to show up which he did after a few minutes. She once again sat on the first row and took the same notebook for the new class. Like the one before him the teacher introduced himself and gave a quick introduction with his criteria which were learn, be present and don't make noise. This subject thought didn't had a textbook so it needed to be learned from practises and lectures. He also said that while they won't be tested on every weapon, their exam will be outdoors on each student's weapon of choice. The lecture began with the different classes of weapons with their weaknesses and strengths, which Rhilin had interest in only one, the scythe. The teacher explained that the key for such weapons was good physical strength, transitioning from one strike to another and generally maintaining momentum. He then began the next lesson which was about a big two handed sword. Rhilin quickly got bored as he began to talk about a weapon she did not care. The class ended and the teacher barely managed to tell everything he needed about the bulky and slow sword.

Akkeiyo entered the classroom and marveled at the setting. The room itself was unbelievably large with a tall ceiling. Little amounts of light gave life to the darker room from the few windows that covered the ceiling. The desks were lined up in a large circle in the center of the classroom. In the middle of that desk circle was what looked like a wrestling arena with the circles drawn in and everything. Akkeiyo sat in one of the open desks and waited for the class to begin.
She didn't have to wait long. The doors burst open to reveal two adults strutting confidently into the classroom: one was a stocky woman with her hair tied up in a long flowing pony tail and the other a thin-built man with short hair and glasses. They walked to the center ring, took their positions on the opposite sides of the ring, and sparred. A flying flurry of marvelous punches and inspiring kicks played out before the students' eyes like a movie. Soon, the match ended and the competitors bowed to one another.
The husky woman turned to the class.
"Good morning, Class. I am Ms. Draeger. My partner, Bernard, and I will be your instructors for this class. I expect all of you to master all of the moves that we just performed by the end of this year."
Nervous murmurs spread like wildfire throughout the classroom in response to the given task. The whispers died down when the teacher's hard eyes bore down on the class.
"Not to worry though. If you stay on top of your studies and give it your all, those moves will become second nature to you. Now, let's begin our first lesson." The teacher walked out of the circle.
Akkeiyo felt excitement jolt through her body. What would they possibly learn first? A left hook? How to disarm someone? The Crane Kick?
The teacher and Bernard came back to the circle, each carrying a stack of heavy textbooks in their arms. They set a single book down on every desk they walked by. Akkeiyo gave a severely distasteful expression at the heavy book in front of her.
"We will be starting on the history of hand-to-hand combat. Open your books to page 2."

Ms. Draeger was very passionate about the dull history lesson while the class sat in boredom. Even Bernard had his times in which he would space out from the staleness of the lesson trying to be taught. By the end of the class, it was safe to say that hand-to-hand combat involved fighting with another person.

((I almost heard Akkeiyo's disappointment. lol))

Rhilin made her way to the final lecture of the day. The room was already open and upon entry, she notices that is was bigger than the ones before, probably because it was for mandatory lessons. It was already half full when she got there so she grabbed one of the first row and waited for the class to begin.

((Good! That was what I was going for!  lol))

Akkeiyo grabbed one of the remaining seats near the middle of the classroom and waited for the class to begin. At the front of the classroom stood a bulky man with a rugged beard and short light brown hair. He looked as if he was about to wrestle a wild lion with his tan vest and shorts. Just by the looks of him, Akkeiyo could tell that he was the kind of guy to grow a field of hair on his chest just to really nail it into peoples' heads that he was incredibly masculine. He cleared his throat vigorously, getting the class's attention at the same time.

((Is it bad that I see him as a cross between Steve Irwin, Saxton Hale, and that survivor guy who drinks his own pee?  lol))

The teacher started to speak in a deep and rough voice. His beard moved as much as his lips, and by the way he spoke it was apparent that he had a lot of experience on the field. The teacher was too full of himself and didn't miss an opportunity to tell the students that he knew more than them. First he began with what were they going to learn, in this class, such as medical attention, plants , cursed artefacts, everything from A to Z. he then said that at the end of each unit there would be a test, to see how much the students have learned. He then begun his first lesson which was the basic humanoid body. It appears that the medical segment has started.
Rhilin wrote whatever she thought she won't remember. Her belly occasionally rumbled from the lack of food.
'Just a little more.' she thought to herself.

If you want you can say what he was teaching and other subjects, if not I'll think about the lesson upon my next post because right now I should be sleeping. loll

Akkeiyo tried her best to focus on the lesson, but no matter what she did, she couldn't entirely grasp the understanding of the human body.
At some point in class, her stomach growled, reminding her about how she missed breakfast. During one of the teacher's long-winded, tall-tale stories about his adventures in the wild, the growls became more like roars. Akkeiyo received some awkward stares from her classmates, but each stare was deflected by the sharp glare she returned to each of them. She was already grumpy enough from hunger; she didn't need anyone trying to magically tame her feral stomach by staring her down.
The lecture finally ended with the teacher just barely breaking the surface of the lesson. He mentioned something about starting first aid either tomorrow or the next day as the students began anxiously leaving the classroom.
'YES! I survived the first day!' Akkeiyo thought proudly to herself.

'Lunch time! I'm starving!' Rhilin thought as she made her way out of the room. 'But where can I find some food?' She then stopped a fellow student that was walking by.
"Hi, do you know where I can get something to eat?" The student 't looked like a senior, so she had to know somewhere to grab a bite.
"Of course! There's the school dining hall. It's in between the girl's and boy's dorms. There are signs so you can't miss it."
"Thanks for the help! Bye." Rhilin said and with a fast walk headed towards her lunch.

((Oh it's Bear Grylls but I've seen bear grilling. lol
No problem.  ^-^))

Akkeiyo hurriedly followed the signs pointing to the cafeteria. When she made it to her destination, she ravenously looked over the menu. Akkeiyo grabbed a plate with potatoes and chicken stacked on it and went to find a table. Her stomach barked madly from the delightful smell of the food.

Rhilin was already enjoying her lunch. There was no one sitting near her, due to her lack of friends.

Akkeiyo spotted Rhilin sitting alone.
Looks like she needs some company, she thought, even though the same could be said about herself. She went over to Rhilin's table and sat across from her.
"Hey, Rhil," she greeted with her arms folded on the table.

((This is my first time using my phone so hopefully the color shows up! I had to type in the command manually since my phone won't let me use the button!  :P))

"Hi. Have you come to take my lunch like my pen?" she said with a brief look towards Akkeiyo before looking down on her lunch again.

((Tell me about it. lol That's why I don't use my phone for posting anything outside short messages. :P))

Akkeiyo flinched. Was she really that predictable?
"No... Not this time," she justified as she picked at her food. She distantly looked away and held her head with her hand. "Did you get a chance to look over those spells from class yet?"

((Yay! It worked! Now I can respond more than once a day! lol
Yeah! There are just too many problems when responding on a phone to really type anything big! :P))

"Not yet. I was too hungry to go through the notes. How about you?" she said and took another bite.

((Yeah like grammar. :P I typed this post from my phone. lol

"I heard some people talking in the hall about them; something about one of them being a minor aura spell." Akkeiyo took another bite, "It didn't really seem like they knew what they were talking about though."

((Ha! Your having to edit proves our point then! lol))

"We can always try them after lunch." Rhil said.

((I have an idea what they would be and now I think I have for the third one. :P I didn't know what it would be until now. :) ))

"Yeah. In fact, where would you go for that sort of thing? If a spell was executed improperly it could destroy a wing of the school," Akkeiyo inquired. Her meal began to disappear steadily by the second.

((I just kind of thought of a weak spell off the top of my head! I would ask you to tell me what they are but I guess Rhil and Akkei will find out in a bit! lol))

"I doubt the teacher would give that sort of spells on the first day." Rhilin finished up her meal since she started before Akkeiyo even arrived. "Well I'm done." she said and got up "See ya." she then left the table and exited the dining hall. After that she took out the school map, located and began walking towards the school's library.

((Do tell. I'm interested, thought I've got already 3 planned. :) ))

Akkeiyo finished her meal shortly after Rhilin left and also exited the dining hall. Thinking that it would be the most open area, she went to the backyard of the school. She looked to see that the large, open lawn was made somewhat onto a training arena by the students. Some sparred with one another while the others practiced with weapons and magic. Most of the students must have been upper class men because of their incredible ability for it only being the first day.
Akkeiyo was quite surprised by the activity. She walked to an open part of the field and took out the slip of paper with the spells written on it.

((Nah! I don't have any planned! I thought you were talking about the aura spell I mentioned!  lol I'm excited to hear what you've come up with!  ^-^))

((The aura is the inspiration for one of them. :D I'll not say in what language the incantations are in mainly because I don't know. So if you want make some weird sounding words for the spells or use English ones. lol))

Rhilin reached the library and upon entry she just stoped and looked around. It was vast with many shelves filled with many books. The categories ranged from creature biology, history, spells and etc. Towering ladders gave access to the upper levels. Many librarians were tending to the books. Straight in front of Rhilin was a desk with an old lady. The white girl walked towards her and greeted her.
"Good day."
"Good day. What have you come here for?" the old woman asked.
"Um...I am looking for a book with instant spells. The teacher of Magic casting and incantations said that you have some copies."
"Let me take a look." she said and searched for such books on her computer. "Ah, yes we have some remaining. You're lucky that you've come before they ran out." she said and told Rhilin of it's location. "After you found it come back here so I can check it out."
"Okay, thanks." she said and headed for the book's location while looking around the towering shelves.

Surprise! :D I've been allowed to RP here with y'all. Joinin' yer party! And... oh man. "It's about time!" X3

I had to think about this for quite a while. Between Jenzy, Jenny, Blaze Drifter, and Mr. Nathan (a human teacher/professor character of mine), Blaze Drifter seemed to fit in the best in attending this university and fitting in the city life~

Blaze Drifter will be humanized in appearance, with some pony-features in this world, like having a pony's tail. I'll try depicting her as such some time... ^-^

Name: Blaze Drifter
Gender: Female
Species: human
Age: presumably in late teens or early twenties
Occupation: student
Appearance: brown haired with fiery orange eyes. Has some pony/horse features such as a pony's tail. (I think you get the idea. It'd still be nicer if I get her human version finished...)
Personality: A bit tomboy-ish, energetic, adventurous, competitive, polite unless irritated
Likes: karting, running, music, reading, swimming, helping out others, playing games with friends
Dislikes: ponies underestimating her skill, being irritated by others, ponies insulting others

Bio: She lived the usual things everyone went through in this world. Education, getting to know others, etc. A bit later, during her teen years, she had experienced that she is good at drifting skills with a kart. She's more than just a racer though. She also enjoys many other activities as well, and had become skilled herself with self-defense.

She has recently enrolled in the academy, eager to see new faces, learn various new things, and awaiting the first day to begin.


Oh, and just assume Blaze Drifter has gone through her classes already like Akkei and Rhilin have. Already registered, gone through the first day's classes))

At the library, Blaze Drifter was quietly reading a book about spells. She took some notes on a notepad.

((Feel free to re-cap what's happened in a short summary. Blaze Drifter knows her stuff, but I don't know since I just got here. It's my first day, geez. lol

And I wouldn't want to start trouble on the first day, so the book Blaze Drifter has isn't the last copy))

((I'll try to post after everyone has posted once so nopony is left behind.))

Rhilin walked passed Blaze Drifter before reaching her destination. She looked up and thought 'The book is up there. Why did they put it there?' She then took a tall ladder and climbed up. Slowly but surely she reached the upper shelves and looked for the book.
'Here it is.' she thought to herself and took the book. Rhilin then got down and walked towards the reception.

((I'm finally back from vacation and am raring to go! Welcome to the party, Jenzy! :D
As a short recap: we got to school, Akkeiyo and Rhilin but heads with each other, they end up becoming roommates, we went to our first day of class, ate lunch, and are now finishing up the day with whatever we want! :P))

Akkei read the first spell on the list: Suni. The shortness of the name foreshadowed its simple nature. Akkeiyo memorize the name and readied herself. She planted her foot firmly behind her to steady herself for any sort of recoil. She didn't want a replay of the first time she learned how to shoot fire when she was young.
She took a deep breath in order to hold her concentration and readied her hands out in front of her.

((I just sort of made he spell name off the top of my head! lol Feel free to change it if you want! Also, what will this particular spell conjure?))

((I want to type out the effects so you could figure out the effects for yourself. lol))

As Akkeiyo performed the incantation she could feel something inside of her building it. It grew bigger and bigger and bigger until it was ready to burst. Then she released a shockwave in every direction around her with a colour of her magic but it didn't appear to have any effect on the things around her as if nothing happened.

Rhilin reached the receptionist and gave her the book. After being asked she told her name and number and the old woman wrote that Rhilin took this particular copy. She then exited the library and went to the openness of the courtyard. She looked around for a nice empty near a thick tree with a dense shadow. Rhilin then went next to it, leaned and opened her notebook with the spells.
'Let's see now...' she thought as she looked for the spells.

((Ok. Got it. Still 'lost in the forest' with the spells and their names though. Since I'm not Blaze Drifter and I didn't attend those classes (I wasn't here for those when you two began anyway)... I just have to get more in-depth with Rhilin's 3D world and learn from the happenings. And overall, enjoying it too.

Oh, and Blaze. If you want me to change Blaze Drifter's character color, let me know. Since we're both using Orange. It might not matter, but it's up to you. :]))


Blaze Drifter glanced at Rhilin for a moment. She had also taken a glance at the other bookshelves from where she was at and the Librarian. She then returned to reading her book on the current page she was investigating. She bookmarked the page she was reading. She stretched her arms as she got up and put the book and her notepad and writing utensil in her messenger bag. She then proceeded to exit the Library. ((she's already checked out the book))

"It's just the first day. Either I can practice this or just check out the outdoor area and get used to this place. Right then..."

She went to the outdoor area of the school and walked and looked around for a bit. ((either backyard or courtyard. Unsure if they're even the same things here. Currently just strolling. Feel free to stop her, or I'll stop her if she finds something interesting or something. Whatever this school has outside.))

((For now I'm thinking that the various buildings are around a very large yard that is mainly for strolling and there are training grounds to the sides that are medium sized which are for training. They have training dummies, practise targets and etc. There's a small green space in front of the main building but it's not used for anything.))

Rhilin checked out the spells and thought it would be better if she moved to the training areas so she wouldn't hit anybody with a misfire. After a short walk she reached one of the training grounds where some students were practising their swords, bows, magic and other abilities. Rhilin took a empty corner and started to read the incantation in her head. She then proceed to try and pronounce some of the more hard words. After some preparation she put down her notebook and spread her legs a bit for more stability. Then she prepared her left arm with the casting of the spell and began speaking the incantation while concentrating. Rhilin could feel how something was building up in her hand. It grew bigger and bigger until there was a medium sized blue glowing ball in her hand. Having finished the spell she brought it closer to her face and examined it.
'What is this?' she thought. 'It looks like a blue fuzzy bunny.' and in that instance the ball turned into a blue rabbit with white glowing eyes and looked towards Rhilin.
"Oh, it's a summon spell." she said to herself. "I wonder if I can make you into something else." she said and thought about another creature. Then the bunny morphed into a drake with four legs and two wings, barely big enough for him to fly. The drake had blue skin and white glowing eyes.
'Awesome! I can have a dragon.' she thought and enjoyed her little creation for the time being.

((Thanks for clearing that up, Night! Also, when you described the dragon as a drake I instantly pictured it as some messed up male duck! lol
As long as Night can tell us apart, Jenzy, I'm totally ok with having the same color text! I could even change mine to a light blue since Akkei's colors are orange and blue! :] And you'll get the hang of it! Night could probably fill you in on anything you're unsure about! :D))

Akkeiyo shook the tingling feeling of magic off of her hands. She surveyed her product only to end of perplexed by the lack thereof. Akkei crossed her arms and tilted her head in confusion.
"Was... It supposed to do that?" she quietly said to herself. "Maybe I said it wrong?"
She shook off her confusion and prepared to fire the spell once more. She said the incantation and channeled her magic.

((Quak lol. Also Rhilin is going to provide insight. lol))

The spell fired and the results were the same.

Rhilin told the dragon to move onto her shoulders. "The teacher said that some spells with incantations could be combined with instant ones."  she said and took the book she got from the library. She opened the first page which was had spells with element creating and picked the one with ice. She held up her arm similarly like before and concentrated in making an ice ball or snow. The ball of ice appeared and started to grow. Happy that she was going to succeed with another spell right off the bath, Rhilin got distracted and the ice ball shattered and exploded in frosty particles.
"Darn it!"  she said angrily.

((Ah, alright. Maybe the spells or more environmental features. And also what exists and doesn't exist in this world. I don't want to make up anything that'd be completely unrelated, or something that exists here that's not in this world... x3 So far from my investigation, there's a fire and ice orb spell, and even the creation of a creature from the orb.))
Blaze Drifter was strolling around at the time being, checking out around the outside, as well as briefly through the hallways.
"So that class is there... and the other classes are... ah. Huh. I wonder... first period is... I believe creature biology. And then more lecture about fighting techniques. Hmm..."

"Yeah. Got it. All set. I suppose I could find some place to practice my forms and techniques. Probably the magic spells as well. " She had the schedule partly memorized. She told herself to remind her of how the schedule is like each different day so she doesn't get lost and late. After giving thought about the schedule, she proceeded to head to the training areas.

She was planning to go to the training areas after her stroll upon the school grounds to possibly practice. She heard an exasperation and shattering as she came by and quickly came to check out what's happened. She didn't look very shocked, but she began to speed up from her walking pace to reach the training area immediately. ((Not sure if it would make a shattering/exploding sound, but there's that darn.))


"Whoah! Is everything alright?

Blaze saw many different students ,both from first year and upper seniors, training various skills. She then saw a white haired girl dressed in white and blue with a blue drake on her shoulders.
"Yeah. I got a bit too confident there." the girl said while cleaning the frost from her.

Blaze was a bit flustered as she entered the area, but she proceeded to meeting up with her.
"Ah... Looks like everything's alright then..." ^-^

She then notices the drake on her shoulder.

"Whoah, what is that? Where was it from? That's so cool!" Blaze said in awe of the drake on Rhillin has.

Rhilin looked at the dragon and back to Blaze.
"Oh, the dragon? It's a summon from one of the spells the teacher gave us in the magic class."

"Well that spell was disappointing..." she mumbled to herself. She would be sure to get some information from the grapevine about it, namely Rhilin. "That nerd would know."
She decided to move on to the next spell for the time being. Akkeiyo made sure to memorize the spell and put her all into casting it, hoping to get a more thrilling outcome if she did.

((This will be the summon. lol))

Akkeiyo could feel how her magic was building in her hand. As the spell progressed a small ball appeared with the colour of her magic and started to grow. The ball grew and grew until it was a twice as big than Akkeiyo's palm. After the spell was completed the ball just stood there, floating.

((It will take the form of any creature you'd think of. Also you can think of creatures and it will retain it's form only if you wish it to do so. lol))

Akkeiyo grinned at her success. The only thing she had left to do was figure out what the spell was good for. The ball of magic was certainly too light and flimsy to throw as a projectile.
"There wasn't anything mentioned in the lecture about a spell like this," she thought. The then tried poking the ball with her finger. It felt like a chilling winter breeze when she stroked it. Suddenly, the sphere turned into a tiny lynx in the palm of her hand. It purred loudly in response to Akkeiyo's finger stroking it. Akkeiyo  froze and gave a look of confusion that quickly turned into one of revelation.
"This must be some sort of conjuring spell," she inquired as she continued to pet the purring feline.

((If you make smaller creatures you can make more than one but if it's bigger like a somewhat grown dragon you can summon only one. And now I shall wait for Jenzy. lol))

Rhilin finished defrosting herself from the misfire and picked up her book with the spells without incantations. She then looked again at the new girl.

((Oooh! Gotcha! The little lynx is so adorably cute in my mind though!  :3 Ha! I can picture BD frozen in mid conversation with Rhil!  lol))

Akkeiyo let the lynx dispel out of her hand and rubbed her hands free of the icy feeling of the spell. She cast a simple fire spell that circled around her hands to warm them up. The urge to practice her new and old spells on the numerous training dummies scattered around engulfed her. The spells that she knew and had mastered always felt so pleasing to utilize and play around with, after all.
"Only one more to go," Akkeiyo said as she took out the slip of paper once more. After going through the motion so many times, she glanced at the spell name, quickly readied herself, and performed the spell.

((And she'd have a blank poker face. lol))

Much like the first spell, Akkeiyo could feel how energy was filling her body. As the incantation progress it grew to a certain level before it escaped. With the end of the casting, Akkeiyo could see an outline around her body with the colour of her magic.

((And this being the one inspired from aura. lol A basic protection spell for the entire body.))

((Ha! Yeah! And when someone knocks her over she falls like a statue, completing unchanging! lol))

Akkeiyo looked over the blue glow outlining her body. She didn't feel any different. It didn't increase her power at all and it wasn't any sort of healing spell. Could it be an illuminating spell? A barrier spell? Perhaps a spell that is only viable during the night? There was nothing she could conclude about it.
She needed to find out more about the spell. What better way to learn about it than using it in a sparring match? Well... except maybe looking it up in the library or asking an upper class man. That stuff is boring though! She was itching for a good battle!
It wasn't likely that she would find a competitor on the first day but she was still hopeful. For now, she settled for practicing on a mental training dummy for the time being until searching for clues about what the spells may be. The metal would be sure to withstand her fire magic much better than the straw stuffed ones.

Blaze had thoughts about it. Remembering some of the lecture that had occurred today.
"Right! That one! I haven't even began to practice it yet. I just went to stroll around for a little bit. Just studied in the library. Guess I should try it now~"

She searched around with her hand inside the messenger bag to retrieve her magic book and notepad. She had not yet studied and memorized any new endeavor. She flipped it to the section with the spells they've learned in class today. And then she came to a small realization. They haven't themselves told their names to each other yet.

"Oh dear me, We haven't properly introduced myself yet have we? What was your name?", Blaze Drifter asks the lady in the white like snow-colored outfit. Sometimes, she likes to first know someone else's name before she informs the other about hers.

"Rhilin. What's yours?" Rhil said to the girl.

"It's Blaze Drifter. You can call me Blaze or however you want. A pleasure to meet you Rhilin." Blaze replied to Rhilin. She looked at the page she had stopped on.


"Oh, is this the one Rhilin?", she asked her, wanting to make sure she had the right spells from the class.

"Likewise, Blaze. This? This is the book with spells without incantations that the teacher told us about." she said and showed her the first page of the book. "The dragon is from one of the three incantation spells he gave in the end.

"Ah... I see. Fascinating," Blaze remarked.
((This is the part where I say, I learned absolutely nothin' today! :]
I'm sure though that she got a similar book...))

"Is it only a dragon we can form? How about the other spells? I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm having a hard time remembering exactly what things we were assigned...", she says to Rhilin, looking and feeling quite apprehensive.

"No, as far as I can tell. He can turn into any creature you want. I haven't been able to try the others yet. Anyway  the only thing he said was to try the spells because we were going to use them.

((What are you doing up so early, Night? lol))

Akkeiyo shot a flurry of blue fire at the practice dummy. The flames seemed to dance in her fingers and bended to her every whim. The dummy was as red as a strawberry from the heat but it managed to keep its structure without melting.
After having dealt out many of the fire based attacks that she knew, Akkeiyo remembered her intent of practicing the newly learned spells as well. She had never before been able to get the hang of non fire based spells, but hey, that's what this school was for, right?
She recalled the familiar calling spell and readied her hands. Akkeiyo made sure to put extra effort into the spell in order to produce greater results. A bright blue ball appeared once more in her hand, one slightly bigger than the previous. The chilled feeling greeted her hands once again.
Akkeiyo concentrated hard on the image of a great lion, tracing out its muscular figure in her mind. The magical aura followed her thoughts and became just that.... only in a much smaller form. The lion familiar was no larger than a medium sized dog.
At least it's bigger than the last one...

"Ah, alrighty. Let's see here..." Blaze sat down and read a bit of the info on the spell.

She had studied of what the outcome would be like, and she was eager to perform it herself, along with various other things.
((Explain to me the This is the book with spells without incantations that the teacher told us about. She doesn't have the ability to perform it with that book she has? :s))

((You guys are both on so I figured that I could stick out the last few hours!  lol

"Might as well make due with what I have."
Akkeiyo beckoned the lion familiar to attack the dummy and it complied without haste. It viciously attacked the hunk of metal, giving a relentless chomp to its side. Thank goodness these practice dummies were nearly invincible! Akkeiyo smiled proudly at her work. Then, an idea sprang into her mind.
"Let's see if this spell can be combined with another." Akkeiyo twirled her fingers and created a bundle of flames. She threw them at the lion as it let go of the practice dummy.
The flames circled around the lion's neck like a mane and remained there, giving it a frightening appearance.
"Yes!" Akkeiyo cheered to herself.
Her glee was short lasted though. The flames suddenly grew out of control and began overwhelming the little lion. The familiar dissipated into mist.

((The bus left at 5 am! Lol The ride is boring and I can use my mobile net until we cross the border. :) ))

Rhilin held awkwardly the book for Blaze. 'Doesn't she alredy have this?' she thought.

((The book contains spells that are casted insantly like Akkeiyo' fire attacks. It describes how to make the different instant spells. In the end of the lecture the teacher wrote on the black board three incantatons for the students to practise. He didn't give any additional informarion about them.))

"Well, I took note of what was on the board on my notepad... oh, wrong one... Did I put it in the journal?..."

Blaze searched through her bag, flustered as she looked, eventually getting to the Magic Class notebook (or pad. Whatever they use)

"Sorry that I have to ask so many questions today Rhilin. Kind of... not really remembering that well of our lectures today. Uggh... those lectures." Blaze told Rhilin. Wow... It shouldn't take this long to figure it out... she thought. ((My excuse for being late for the RP, with a character who supposedly has attended the entire day. Maybe the day has been hectic for her. :]))

"No problem. I prefer talking to you than my roommate."

Just as Akkeiyo was ready to fire off a bullet of fire, she gave a hardy sneeze. Her aim shifted and her projectile merely nicked the side of the dummy. She gave a little growl of frustration, doused her flames, and wiped her nose with her finger.
"Maybe all of this training is starting to wear me out," she said. Akkeiyo looked around the training area. I should probably find Rhilin and ask her about those spells.

After some looking around Akkeiyo saw a white dressed girl with a dragon no bigger than a medium dog. The girl was talking to a stranger.

((Stranger danger! lol))
"Ah... well. Why is that?" Blaze Drifter asked.

"You're a lot nicer than her." Rhilin said.

"Oh. Heh... Is that so?" Blaze said back, looking a bit surprised.

"So... What is she like? What's so bad about her?" she responds, closing her messenger bag, but not clicking the straps.

"Well I don't want to talk behind anybody's back so let's just say she's not the nicest person in the school."

Akkeiyo began approaching the twosome. As she came closer, she shouted out to Rhilin.
"Hey, Snowy! Tell me what you know about the spells we have to learn for class!" she demanded.

Rhilin was half tempted to shoot her with a magic dart but restrained herself due to the possibility of getting into serious trouble.
"Speaking of the wolf..." she said to Blaze before starting to shout at Akkeiyo "Go find out for yourself!"

"Mmmm... Understood.." Blaze replied back to Rhilin. She then heard an unfamiliar voice and looked at the stranger.

She made her way up to Rhilin.
"But you already know what they all do with that book! It would be a waste to spend my time in the library looking for the answers," Akkeiyo complained. She then turned away from Rhilin with her arms crossed. "I know your hair looks like a blizzard but I didn't know you were so cold!" she teased with a smirk.
She then noticed the girl that was talking to Rhilin before. "Who's your friend?" she asked curiously.

Geez, I can kinda see the point Rhilin makes on this girl... Blaze thought to herself.

"So you must be Rhilin's roommate huh?" she says to the strange ginger lady.

"Yeah, we're real chummy," she said with a hint of sarcasm. "Who're you?"

"Blaze Drifter. What's your name?" replied Blaze Drifter.

"Akkeiyo," she simply replied. "What are you studying here?"

"Ak-- kei- yo?


"Interesting name." She told her, and continued, "Well Miss... Akkeiyo. Basically just about the same classes you both are doing. I've been a little quiet, or you and I just haven't met up from the earlier classes."
((Night got off. He got tired. Rhilin must be frozen like a statue right now lol))

Akkeiyo raised an eyebrow and gave a huff when Blaze Drifter laughed.
"Hmm yeah, I probably saw you... er... somewhere in class....," she carelessly replied as she brushed off Blaze Drifter's bright attitude like a broom. "Anyway, do you know what the spells from incantations class do or not?"

((I imagine it as Rhilin steadily dying inside from Akkei's annoyingness and trying to think of an elaborate plan to sweep her off the face of the earth!  lol
Yes, yes, I'll get to that! I've been up and about the whole day and I'm not able to type PMs very well on my phone!  >.<))

"I just heard something like glass break here. I came to check to see what happened, and it was actually just Rhilin and some ice spell. Uh... then there was her dragon, which she explained to me was one of the spells. Hey, I don't know about it either, but we're all here now, hooray, maybe we can practice as a group. What do you gals think?" Blaze Drifter replied back, giving a suggestion to the group.

Rhilin was watching the conversation between the two. 'Yeah, tell her all about my failure, why don't you?' she thought until Blaze offered a group training.
"Spend more time with her?" she said and gestured towards Akkeiyo. "I prefer to be with her no more than I have to."

((Oh! I mainly saw the girl with the demon eyes so I thought Akkei reminded you of her! lol))
"I don't know, Rhil," Akkeiyo said as she walked up next to Blaze Drifter. She put one arm around the girl and the other at her hip. "This girl might be onto something. It's quicker than figuring them out on our own. It's a win-win situation."
She gave a half smile. Best of all I won't even have to crack open a book.

"And help you pass? Not a chance."

"Do as you wish, Snow White. Drifter and I will just practice together then." She gave a devilish grin and a glint shown in her eye, "But you'll be the one who doesn't pass without the help of others."

"It's more likely you will make her fail." Rhil said and left the group. She walked towards one of the dummies.

Blaze Drifter's just standing there, thinking, Wooow... They really DO NOT get along that well. What's funny is that these two chums are friends. Or at least, have to survive dealing with each other as their roommates and all. Eh... Either I work with Akkeiyo here...pfff...oh gosh that name, aarghh... or try to think of a better solution. It's just the end of the first day. Their friendship may get stronger, maybe not. Time is swift... I shouldn't be jumping to conclusions to quickly."

She finally spoke something else out of her mind. "Well that escalated quickly. Geez, tough crowd..." She takes out her book, checks the title on hers and Rhilin's again before she walked away.  "Awesome. I get it now. I should have those incantations. And I have plentiful of notes, so I should get started."

Blaze looked at Akkeiyo and said, "I'm really unsure about the working together at the moment. I'll think about it. I guess I'm on my own for now..."

((I'm going to change the font color to red so I can see it better against the LOE background and differentiate between BD and Akkei!  :D))

Akkeiyo was taken aback by Blaze Drifter's response. Her surprise was quickly covered up by a mask of toughness.
"Y-yeah, go ahead! I'll be fine on my own," she replied with arms crossed. She turned and walked away from Blaze Drifter without another word. She didn't need them. She could pass all of her classes without even breaking a sweat!
A book would be a much better learning tool anyway.

Rhilin reached one of the straw stuffed dummies. Interested on how the summon would fare she decided to test him against the dummy. "Attack." she said to the dragon and he flew off her shoulders and charged at the humanoid dummy. He used a combination of his claws and mouth to deal damage and used his wings to quickly move from one part onto another. The dummy was magically enchanced to be resistant against attacks so it could be used for longer periods of time.
'Hmm...I wonder why is he firing flames from his mouth. Maybe he needs an element?' she thought and decided to imbue him with something. She raised her left arm and without much effort created a small blue spike that was a bit longer than her hand. It was something she learned a long time ago, to make magic into a physical form. "Catch, boy." she said and threw the spike towards the dragon. He took flight and caught it with his mouth in the air. After that he consumed the spike and started to change. He became a darker shade of blue, and spikes appeared all over his body. His claws and teeth grew also. After that he resumed his attacks with much more damage and in addition he was capable of launching spikes.

Akkeiyo made her way to the library. The immense amounts of books lined up on the walls was almost intimidating. She found her way to the "magic" category of books and began looking at the names on the spines of the books. She settled for the "Encyclopedia of Incantations and Spells: A Guide to the Known Spells of the World" and sat down to read it.

((Also, just out of curiosity, what time would you say it is? ^-^))

((Around 3 or 4 PM.  X3 ))

"That's enough." she said and the dragon flew down in front of her, awaiting new orders. She then unsummoned him due her inability to cast a spell while maintaining another. Rhilin then opened her notebook and looked at another spell. She placed her left arm into position and began casting. Once she spoke the final word a wave of blue magic erupted from her and hit everything around her. Unlike Akkeiyo's try, her wave impacted the dummy and tilted it while anyone who was caught by the wave would've been knocked on their butts. That was because Rhilin almost automaticly turns her magic in a physical form whenever she is casting spells since most of her magic until now involved formed spikes, blades and etc.

((Geez... now who's the slowpoke here... *points to self* X3
And I gotta say... that was kinda what I was wanting Akkei to go for. A book is indeed a better tool to work with anyway. Though, they're always free to come back together as a whole. Either these two chumps get along, and work well together... or something. I totally will!))

Blaze sighed... She then came to her place of thought in the area. She opened her (book or notebook) and studied the creature spell. After a thorough review and memorization of the incantation, she put the book down and began to say the words... but before she could finish, she had noticed Rhilin's magic had gotten out of control and she quickly gathered her things before she was caught in the chaos. She quickly just ran as far away from the training area as possible before she could've gotten hurt.

((Awesome!  ^-^ Also, what might that spell that Rhilin performed do for Akkei?))

Akkeiyo found the name of the third spell that she performed after flipping through a plethora of pages. She put her index finger below the words and read them.
Can this print be any smaller? She squinted at the words as she read them. As she read, she learned that the spell was, in fact, a shielding spell. It was meant as a temporary barrier to quickly block attacks and be able to counterattack even quicker. She was amazed by the properties of the spell but didn't make much of an effort to remember to make it one of her main magical moves. Akkeiyo was much more of a power/attack based magic user rather than defensive based.
I won't be using this much anyway since it'll be easier and cost effective, magic wise, to dodge.

((Nah, Jenz! I think I still hold the record of "longest time inactive!" You'll have to try harder! lol
I guess we'll find out soon enough! Akkei's a bit of a fart so it could really go either way!  lol))

'That could be useful.' she thought before looking up the final spell. Rhilin once again positioned her hand and cast the spell. After the last word, a blue glowing outline appeared around her entire body. She looked at her hands. 'Looks like a  some kind of shield spell.'

Blaze Drifter got a little frustrated, but kept her disappointment to herself.
"Darn it!! I just can't finally start can I? That spell Rhilin last made just now. That was pretty incredible. Hmm, still, I should finally try out this "life" spell or whatever it's called. Anything really, I should start now before the day ends."

She was at another open area of the school. She flipped open her notebook again, re-read it, and re-memorized the incantation. She began to say the words aloud...

((Trophy-worthy achievement! lol But you really need to get on more. Even Skype. Try... X3 You used to do it back then. That was great.

And, hah. Oh Akkeiyo. What are we gonna do with ye... :]))

After a few moments of looking at herself, Rhilin dispelled the shield. 'Now I'll try my old skills for the end of this training.' she thought and reached for the handle of the scythe with her right hand. She grabbed it and moved it in a normal position when she was holding it, which was the head's scythe near the ground and the handle going behind her back. Rhilin turned around and walked several steps away from the dummy after which she faced it again and prepared for a run.

"That's strange... Why isn't it working? I could've sworn I read the right incantation..." Blaze Drifter slightly frowned, re-checking her book, and tried again.
((Shouldn't someone depict what Blaze Drifter gets? You did it to Akkeiyo. And this is my first time on said spell... well, her first time too.))

((Yeah! What I meant was if it would do the same thing for Akkei or if the result varied for every user!  lol))

After many minutes of flipping through the pages, Akkei finally found the spell name. According to the book, it was an impact spell, meant to make the enemy stumble. Akkei imagined the possibilities if someone were to hone in on the spell. The spell could probably knock down a dinosaur! She would remember to try to use this spell whenever she found the opportunity.

After finding the two unknown spells and reading a bit on the other one, Akkeiyo got up and stretched after sitting for so long. After debating between whether she desired her sight or grade more, she decided to check out the book in case she ever needed it.

((Sorry! I've got a lot of important RL things that I have to focus on at the moment! I'm not really a big fan of using skype anyway! X3

((You could say. It's originally a mass or area spell. It's designed for hitting multiple enemies around you but it needs to be combined. Since Rhilin makes her magic physical almost automaticly she managed to get an effect from it. For instance if Akkeiyo combined it with fire it would turn into a fire wave, burning everything it hit.))

Blaze Drifter could feel how an energy started to fill her up from the inside. It grew and grew with each word and when she spoke the final one it exited her body. Blaze could feel how it was on her entire body. It looked like an outline with the colour of her magic.

Rhilin positioned her left hand in front and in the middle of her chest with a straight index and middle finger, while the others were bent.She concentrated and blue several blue light appeared around her, both above and next to her. Then from the lights formed spikes  and started to get bigger. Then suddenly she straighten her arm and her fingers at the dummy which made the spikes to fly into it at different places, leaving tails of light blue after them. Rhilin then charged at the dummy before she made a swipe onto his left side between the neck and the shoulder. She then made a dive and rolled under his right arm and continued the slice across the dummy's chest. Then she faced the end of the scythe towards the dummy and formed a spike on the flat end before driving into him several times. After which she jumped, stepped onto his shoulders to jump even higher before performing a flip in the air and drove the blade into dummy upon her landing. As the blade was in the body of the dummy, on the left arm appeared a blue flame which quickly travelled with a spiral on the handle towards the blade and enlarge the whole head. Rhilin used the expanding head to continue the slice and drove it from the other end. The scythe exited with  20% bigger head than it was originally, with a blue glow, and a short blue trail. Rhilin stopped in the pose of her last slice to see the damage. Shortly after the dummy's head and arm fell off and hit the ground.

And I just realized that I used "After" to start two sentences right after each other in my last message! Whoopsie! lol))

"That finishes my assignments for the day!" Akkeiyo said proudly to herself. She rubbed her eyes after coming out of the library and yawned. She was getting tired from all of the reading and quiet atmosphere.
She tried thinking of ways to pass the time but found none. I should probably try out the other two spells once more to get a firm grasp on what they do."
Akkeiyo started making her way to the training grounds once more.

Blaze Drifter saw before her eyes, an orange glowing outline of magic, similar to her eye color. She smiled brightly seeing how it had worked out. It had been a different spell from what she performed however. "Oh... well now. What's this?"

She looked around herself, and she had been surrounded by a magical aura. It looks like it was some sort of shield spell.

Pleased with her result, Rhilin undid the magic on the scythe's head and she put it on her back once again.
'I've never tried using my magic in a defensive role.' she thought 'It sure would come in handy.' and then she walked towards a nearby tree.

Blaze Drifter didn't know whether it was a shield spell or not, so she was somewhat confused.
"What? Is that it? Really?"

She picked up her book, and re-checked her notebook's contents.
"Oh. It's a shield incantation. Hmmm, maybe I'll return to the training area. Rhilin's still there, and that dragon. I could probably ask her for more things with that Akkeiyo out of the way."

She then returned to the previous area she had gone to earlier.

At least there's PMs (which take longer than instant Skype, yet gets the message across, yet with a lot of thought).

Upon arrival Blaze found that Rhilin wasn't at the dummy, where she last saw her. In addition the dummy was missing it's head and arm. It appeared that someone had sliced him diagonally from it's neck and through it's body. Upon looking around she could see Rhilin under a tree doing...something.

Rhilin made another spikes and made it as big as she could. Then with both hands she tried to bend and stretch it's shape to resemble more of a shield. Unfortunately the spike shattered immediately when it lost it's form.

((Thanks for reminding me about the other training ground! I was originally going to have her take a long route to a secluded area of the back! lol))

For a change of pace, Akkeiyo decided to go to the training area on the side of the school. It looked similar to the one in the back but more secluded and smaller. No more than a handful of students were there and nearly all of the targets were open to use. Everyone would glace over at the East Wing entrance of the school when another person would come to the area.
Akkeiyo went to the dummy in the far corner and began her training once more.

Rhilin created a shard once again and started to bend it's shape. This time it shattered a few seconds after losing it's original form.
'It's getting there. Though I wonder how long it will take to get to the desired form.'

((Yeah. Work hard, stay focused on all that stuff ya gotta do. It's important! I shouldn't really bother ya...heh. I'm sure everything will be fine later on~ ^-^))

Blaze Drifter had a really confused, yet frightened face.

"Eeeeeeehhhh?..." o.O

Then she noticed Rhilin by the tree. "Eeeeeeehhhh?!..."


She then slowly approached Rhilin... As she got closer, Rhilin had shattered her shield again.

"Eehhh... I'm sorry. Did I do that?..."

"No." she said without paying her too much attention. Rhilin then summoned another spike and started to bend and stretch it again with both hands.

"Oh..." Blaze said back, and stood back. She watched Rhilin as she tried even more magic and her technique. Just in case a technical error would happen, she prepared herself, giving her focus on maintaining the shield spell.

The spike slowly deformed from Rhilin's tampering. Shortly after it got out of it's original shape, it cracked and shattered.

Akkeiyo read the passage once more for the impact spell ((What kind of spell would you classify it as, Night? X3)), and rubbed her hands together to warm up. She positioned her palms towards the ground and let out a wave of magic.

"Looks like quite a puzzly type of spell you're doing Rhilin. Were you making a shield out of spikes?" Blaze Drifter curiously asked Rhilin.

((Mass/area spell or something like that. :) ))

"Something like that." she said and lowered her hands and looked at Blaze.
"I wanted to have something more for defence and not to rely only on my scythe."

"Ah. Sounds nice. It just takes a lot of focus and skill. Keep it up with lots of practice, and you'll soon to be able to cast many things!" Blaze told Rhilin. The orange glow of magic had then disappeared.

"I still definitely need more practice on mine. Hopefully I can get 'em down by the end of the week. I'll let you focus on your thing while I focus on mine..." She then went to the side, at the training area. There was still a good extra amount of space around her available to practice.

She went over her notes again. "Whoops. I guess that was the shield spell... Pssshh... Ah. The datatada... mumumimumama... yadayadayada.... K. Here we go."

She began to feel magical energy coming to her of each word spoken of the summoning spell. At a later point, a faint orange-y raccoon had eventually began to appear slowly...

((Usually a ball appears first and grows to a size. Then when you think of a creature it takes it's shape.))

Rhilin didn't say anything more and just continued her practise. After some failed attempts she thought. 'The spell on the scythe is bigger and I do it without a problem.' and then she looked at her right arm.
'Maybe if I use my arm as a base it would work.' she thought and concentrated on her arm.

((You guys can go on ahead without me! Akkeiyo's doing her own solitary thing anyway!  lol Also, should the day end soon? We still have four more of these adventurous days until the big hunt!  lol))

A wave of magic spread around her. Tiny blue flames shot up from the cracks in the ground. Akkeiyo smiled at her work and straightened up. That was even more amazing than it sounded in the book!
She thought about doing it again for the fun of it but decided to, instead, focus her magic on the armament spell. She allowed the blue glow to encase her body. After getting a running start, Akkeiyo fierce punch to the training dummy's plush stomach. As she made contact, the glow surrounding her was shattered.
This must only be able to deflect a single, moderate blow...

((And, that's what came up first. It's kinda hard for me to figure out which animal she'll have, so it's currently a raccoon. I noticed at a point, Rhilin had a rabbit, which she turned into a drake...))

Blaze Drifter kneeled down and looked at the little glowing raccoon.
"Ah... that's pretty neat! Hmmm,,, I was thinking of a raccoon and all. I could make it something else couldn't I?"

She was silent for a few seconds to herself, then said, "I think you'll be fine." She then took out a red scarf/kerchief and tied it around the physical raccoon's neck. "That's done... I wonder what time it is."

((One week left! I'm sort of free this Winter Break, woohoo! :)))

((Wait...big hunt?  Why I don't know about it?  o.O))

Slowly but surely a layer of blue magic formed on Rhilin's hand. It started from the back of the palm and creped it's way along the lower arm. After being done it was necessary a lower concentration level so Rhilin took a look at the new skill of hers and smiled. 'Yes! i did it! Though I need to learn to make it faster. At the current rate of forming, it's useless.' she thought and looked around only to see it was already dark and most of the students had left. Only a few remained that were still training.
'I guess it's time to head for my dorm.' and then she dispelled her magic, picked up her things and started heading towards her room.

((Not sure though... You're the host. We're "the guests." But we're still on Day 1. We should move soon lol))

"Whoah. I guess it's time to head back before it's too late." It's only the first day Drifter. I think that'll do for today.

She got up, let the raccoon on her shoulder/in the messenger bag (or, dispelled if it's supposed to do that), and she began walking to the dorms.

Rhilin soon reached her room only to find that her roommate was still outside. 'Peace and quet at last!' she thought and smiled widely. She then tossed her things somewhere on her side, took off her boots and jumped on her bed.

((Oops! I meant the field practice days (of which I, upon further inspection, realized are on Thursday and Friday)!  X3))

After performing spell upon spell, Akkeiyo was drenched in sweat. She wiped her forehead with her arm and happily grinned at a job well done. Then, a blinding ray of light shined into her eyes. Akkeiyo quickly covered her eyes from the irritating beam and realized that it came from none other than the sun, sinking into the horizon.
I should probably get back to my dorm before curfew.
Akkeiyo began walking back to the academy.

Blaze was looking at her map, in search for the dorm of her stay.
This day feels like it had lasted forever! And it's just the first day. Goodness gracious, what A day. she thought to herself as she had trudged to the academy, on her way to her dorm.

((It's some nice lady's birthday today! :3))

((Oh. Okay. lol))

Rhilin was lying on her back, enjoying the silence of the room. She almost could fall asleep but the thought of her roommate busting in like a tank, kept her awake. Instead she just enjoyed her time off while she could.

Akkeiyo soon came to her room and opened the door. Drowsiness was beginning to creep up on her. She yawned and stretched her arms as she entered the dorm. As she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and approached her bed, Akkeiyo glanced at her roommate lounging on her own bed.

Blaze Drifter had made it home to her dormitory. She stretched and yawned, heading to her personal bathroom, brushing her teeth, and washed her hands. She then sat on her bed, removing her grey jacket and messenger bag, setting them next to each other on a table.

Before she slept, she had read a little more from her notes and the spell book.
I'll probably try that tomorrow. Ah, I see. So that's how I cast the shield spell...
Her eyes were half-closed, shutting slowly. She couldn't keep it up anymore. She eventually became quite sleepy and put the book away. She turned off the lights and got under her blankets, eventually falling to her slumber.

Rhilin didn't responded to Akkeyio. She wanted to keep their interactions to a minimum. She then got up and went to the bathroom.

Akkeiyo plopped onto her bed, and within seconds, fell asleep without a peep.

Rhilin brushed her teeth and got ready for bed. She then quickly changed into her sleepwear and went to sleep.

--Morning--

The alarm sounded, signalling the start of the new day. Like yesterday, Rhilin was half asleep when she got up and went to the bathroom.

((Now I need to start brainstorming about creature classes and types.  -.-))

Akkeiyo slowly rose and stretched.
Morning already? She reluctantly rolled out of bed and began straitening up for the day.

The best method might be to figure out the weakness of each fighting style and plan around that to start off! For example, there could be an armored rhino thing that can only be defeated if damaged with magic and then cut on its belly with a weapon, a dragon or specters are impervious to magic, or a beast that only has long range attacks can only be defeated by hand to hand combat!  ^-^))

I decided to practice humans and facial angles last night, and considering how we don't have any artwork for our RP yet, I decided to try my hand at human Blaze Drifter and Rhilin!
Blaze Drifter's just being all cheery with her rad feathers and such! I didn't feel like focusing much on clothing so I threw a tank top on her and called her clothed! Jenzy mentioned that he didn't have a humanized drawing of BD so here's one!
What's Rhilin being so sassy about? Maybe she's angry that I only did her upper body? Dunno! She was my guinea pig for a slightly turned head position (it's barely noticeable but oh well)! Now that I have a better understanding of her character I'm getting more comfortable drawing her!
And the third one is Tsuki, Akkeiyo's friend. The birthday I gave her is coming up so I thought that I might as well try to fit her in! I sort of botched up her hair but it's something, right? I always think of her when I draw Rhilin since they both have short white hair!
And I decided to fit in a little Akkeiyo to say that I included all of the characters from the RP! Sorry, Akkei, no profiling! I like drawing her as a fox more than a human anyway!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this miniature gift! Let the RP continue on!  B)

Blaze Drifter had woken up. She stretched her arms and slowly arose from the matress. She went to the bathroom to quickly bathe and changed into different clothing. She then straightened the sheets of her bed, put on her jacket and saddlebag.

((You guys are far better with figuring out the canon here than I am. lol
We could go with Blaze's idea. Some may only take an effect upon a magical way, or taken down through physical hand to hand combat.

And of course, possible methods of how the attack methods work of creatures like the rhino or dragons and such. Maybe they attack through a magical method such as its horn/spikes acting like missiles, or it having to physically obliterate them (not in a super drastic or lethal way of course X3).))

Rhilin washed her eyes, brushed her teeth and generally did her mourning routine before exiting the bathroom still pretty sleepy. She got dressed and got her things and left the room. Today she decided to check out the school dining hall for some breakfast. Since she knew where it was she probably could grab a bite before the start of the classes. So Rhilin made her way towards her potential breakfast.

((Hmm...could work. :/ I'll continue brainstorming. Thought that in the future there may be original monsters, for now I'll stick to mythological ones or some spin-offs of them because I haven't yet to design the main heroine fully.

Yay awesome gift that includes the RP! :D Thought I hope Rhilin isn't coming out as overly grumpy princess type with all her interaction with Akkeiyo.  X3 ))

Akkeiyo performed her short list of morning necessities and left for the dining hall with her bag hanging over her shoulder. The aroma of baked batter and sizzling meat hit her nose and made her stomach come to life once more. She quickened her pace.

((Okie doke! When you think of monsters I could try to do little sketches of them if you'd like visual representations of them!  ^-^
Nah!! The scowl in the picture is just because I drew BD all happy so I felt like I needed to practice some less happy looks! I think she's coming off more as a serious, independent, dedicated, hard working student who doesn't like to put up with pests like Akkei! Hopefully Akkei is filling the roll of an annoying, egotistic princess though since she's meant to be like that by nature! lol))

Rhilin soon got to her location and saw abundance of breakfast choices available. Everything from toasts to eggs, something on foot or for a table, breakfast didn't come any more appetizing than this. There were many students that were grabbing a breakfast and the staff were busy. Rhil quickly grabbed something to bite with something to drink and took a seat. She then started to eat her food with a fasten pace so she wouldn't be late for class.

((Heh okay. Now I'm imagining some drawings with "Information that we can share so far" like Attack on Titan ever few posts with sketches. lol

Aand, BD never had a humanized? When did I--OH! Right. lol That was before the RP. I soon created a rough one for her shortly, but I re-made her a bit, mixed with sort of how you did it. Great job by the way. I like it. :) Thanks :3

Humans... are still pretty darn hard to draw. Especially hands!! :I))

Blaze Drifter walked towards the cafenesium/cafeteria/area where everyone eats food. She checked her agenda to see if she was on schedule. To her, the second day is just as hectic as the first, especially when the classes are a bit differently ordered and new to her.

She grabbed something that she liked, a beverage, and began to eat at a table.

Akkeiyo tiptoed around the line and made her way towards the front, slipping in front of unsuspecting students whenever she could while they were distracted. She grabbed a quick egg and cheese sandwich and began taking bites out of it on her way to her first class of the day.

((I'd be cool with that!  lol
Yeah, they're probably impossibly thin for human beings!  lol The style that I'm most exposed to when it comes to humans is Oda's (One Piece's creator), who makes the chest giant and the waist so small you could fit your hands around it, so I tend to take after it! X3 I'll be sure to watch it more in the future! Tell Ethereal I said thanks! And thanks for showing it to her in the first place! :3

Rhilin quickly finished her breakfast and started walking towards the class which was going to begin soon. Rhil also brought up her map so she would find the room more quickly.

She checked her agenda and her map and quickly made her way into the classroom.

After wandering around the hallways with sandwich in hand and nearly passing the room up, Akkei found the classroom. She entered and felt almost cramped from the seemingly smaller size after being spoiled by such big classrooms the previous day. It wasn't the square footage that made the classroom feel small though.
The room was lined with desks all facing a single long chalkboard. The rest of the space was taken up by various vegetation and tiny caged beasts. Plants of every species hung from the ceiling and made the room look more like a rainforest than a learning facility. The beasts ran around their cages like little hamsters and gnawed on the bars of their cages on occasion. Akkeiyo sweeped a bundle of vines out of her way as she cautiously entered the classroom. When a "class pet" lunged at her from behind the barred cage, she snarled back, instantly making the beast submissive to her.

((No kidding! His creativity is legendary! lol

On the bright side, their hands would never be cold when fighting monsters! :D

I also feel that the room is something out of Harry potter. lol))

Rhilin arrived at the room and sat on one of the first seats like usual. She mostly ignored rattling cages with the beasts. The room gradually started to fill up with students as the start of class grew nearer.

Blaze Drifter had looked around the classroom. She both liked and disliked how it's becoming. She had sat down at a seat of the classroom.

She thought to herself, Wow... Really, they couldn't have stuffed more things inside this tiny room.
She had placed her messenger bag on her lap and waited for everyone to settle down and listen to the upcoming lecture.

Soon everyone took a seat and the teacher entered to classroom. The said teacher was young looking compared to the others and with glasses. Her hair was tied up so it wasn't loose and she appeared cheery.
"Good morning, everybody!" she started. "My name is Sarah Kerrigan and I will be teaching you about the all those creatures that can and will attack you. I require you to be present at every class and score the minimal score on my tests that I will give whenever I wish. So be sure to study before every lecture. In this class we will learn all about the monsters and what makes them thick because knowing is half the battle." she then turned around and started to write on the board. 'General types, classes and monsters.' is what she wrote and she then turned towards the students. "Today we are going to start with general knowledge and most common monsters. There are multiple classes from which to categorize them. Firstly we can split them based on the environment which they spend most of their lives in. We have airborne types ,water dwellers, earth roaming and mixed. We can also split them into living and undead because as you know, even the dead don't like us. There are even more categories such as weaponized, magical and others but these two are the main ones."

Blaze Drifter took out a new notebook for the class along with a writing utensil, and she payed attention to what Ms. Kerrigan was saying, and writing on the board.

She then wrote the title on the top of her page, 'General Types, Classes, and Monsters' and began an organized list of the categorization of her explanation. 'Environments', 'Monsters', 'Types', 'Living? Y/N', 'Weapons? Y/N', etc.

Names and images of exotic beasts came to Akkeiyo as memories drifted around her mind, causing a smile creep onto her face. She could already tell that this was going to be one of her favorite classes to sit through. The ginger took out a sheet of paper and decided to write down what she didn't already know.

((Ooo!!! Very nice, Jenzy!! :3 Also, if you need any references of Akkei or anything I'd be happy to send some to you (although I might not be able to do it until I get back from my vacation and get my laptop!  X3)!))

Rhilin like everyone was taking her own notes as the lecture progressed.
The teacher continued with her lesson.
"Because our city is surrounded mostly by plains, you can encounter charging and airborne type monster. Those include boars, rhinos, leopards and others. From the airborne you can encounter bird type monsters that can snatch you in a heartbeat. Usually the bigger ones inhabit the mountains to the south of the city so on the plains you are going to see small ones at best. In the forest that is north west from the city, you can find some ambush type monsters such as wolves, foxes, bears and others. Keep in mind that every one of these monsters can be in varying size and can pack armaments such as steel plates that cover their bodies, razor sharp blades, stings, poisons with which they can kill you. Theses creatures are with the weaponized class and I suggest you to avoid them if you know what's good for you. So if you encounter a giant flying raven with blade-like feathers, you should get out of there as quickly as possible."
Rhilin raised her hand.
"Yes? Do you have a question?"
"What about dragons? In what class do they fall under?"
"Ah yes, dragons. Dragons are one of most powerful creatures that roam our world. They are hybrid class being able to live either in the air or on the ground. Even non-weaponized dragons pack thick scales that are though to penetrate. Some types of dragons are known to pack magic abilities as well. In addition to the elemental fire from their mouths such as fire, ice, sound and others, they can sometimes create and use the surrounding elements making them  formidable enemies."
Along with talking Sarah was writing the different creatures she mentioned and just finished to write dragons on the board.
"So far we have been talking about living or day creatures because they are most active during the day. However as soon as the sun sets, new dangers wake up. Skeletons, zombies, wraiths, ghosts, ravens are creatures of the night and appear everywhere during the night. You can also find them in a dark cave or some underground passage where no sunlight ever comes through. Wraiths, spectres  or ghosts in general have magical abilities and often can form shields and weapons in addition to their spells. They retain intelligence just enough to plan a strategy against you so be careful when fighting them. Skeletons and zombies are remains from a fallen creature or human that have been possessed or cursed to wander our lands. If the body had any weapons before it's death it will keep them so they can be armed as well. Unlike the ghosts they don't have high intelligence and often just charge at you with whatever they have.
Some of you might wonder why did I included ravens here? Surely they must be alive and be in the airborne types. No, ravens are cursed birds that sometimes are alive but often are undead. They can disappeared in the night and be nearly impossible to see them without some kind of a light source. They also have varying size and yes even the biggest ones can vanish just as easily."

Akkeiyo raised her hand until the teacher acknowledged her.
"Going back to the topic of dragons, are hydras considered a type of dragon? Do they have the same abilities?"

"No they aren't considered dragons. They are serpent creatures that spend their time in the water. Apart from their many heads and teeth, they sometimes have control over the water near them. However the magic with dragons is much more common than with hydras." the teacher answered.

Rhilin, however reluctant to hear Akkeiyo's voice, wrote down the new information.

The teacher waited and looked around for any more questions.

Another student in the back of the room raised their hand.
"What creatures have the ability to change their form?"
This question intrigued Akkeiyo and she prepared her hand for the notes.

((If you want. lol Though I'm waiting on Jenzy to continue the lecture. I have given somewhat template what creature could roam so stick to that but any mythological creatures should be alright. Except human ones like baba yaga. lol))

"A very interesting question. Yes some creatures have that ability but due to the fact that shapeshifting magic requires a lot of magic and focus it's not very common. If it was we would have a lot of trouble on our hands. :)
The most known of shapeshifting magic is present with the elementals. Magic beings made entirely from one or more elementals. They can change parts or the whole body depending on their needs and are very intelligent. Due to that fact it's not very recommended that you charge them with a physical attack, since they will just heal themselves with the surrounding element or just change the damaged part. Another case of shifting shape is with ghosts. Sometimes they retain enough intelligence and have enough magic to pull off something like that. However they are often bound by their first form and are either unwilling or incapable of doing so."

((Ok! Maybe we should just wait for Jenzy then! I wouldn't want to get too far ahead without him! lol))

Akkeiyo wrote down the notes and made sure to retain the facts in her memory.

Writing, and writing... and writing... Blaze Drifter had jotted down a majority of information Ms. Kerrigan had explained or written on the board. Of course, other students had also taken down their side of notes. One of the students woke up their friend who was about to fall asleep. Others could also be heard commenting during the lecture.

Hey, dude. Wake up...
Excellent. I was gonna ask, but, fine with me. Understood...
Oh, I wish the teacher would slow down a bit...
No, you can tell me later. I'm trying to take notes. Ugh...

Blaze Drifter had then raised her hand after finishing jotting down the information upon Magic.
Ms. Kerrigan, I have a question! In what other ways are the creatures able to utilize their magic? Aside shapeshifting or self-healing?

"It depends on the creature. As I said dragons and elementals can fire elements at you and also create them. We haven't had many opportunities to study magic wielding monsters but we can assume if they are intelligent enough they can go toe to toe with us."

((Gonna continue the lecture either tomorrow or when there aren't anymore questions.))

Another student then raised his hand to ask a question.
Does magic benefit to every creature out there, or does it only apply to certain ones? Like...are there any monsters or creatures that can't use magic at all?, the student asks.

"Certainly. The creatures I've mentioned with magic such as dragons and elementals are only to their species. Wolves, birds and creatures like them do not posses any magical abilities nor the intelligence to use them if they had. Actually it's more rare to encounter creatures with strong magic since dragons and elementals inhabit certain specific places. Even magical beings such as the undead often don't have magic that they can use."
The teacher looked around in case of more questions.

((I can't think of any more questions at the moment! Go ahead and continue on with the lecture if Jenzy doesn't think of any more! lol))

Akkeiyo jotted down the information given and sat on the edge of her seat, eager for more. The thing she was most interested in leaning about was how to defeat these monsters.

Blaze Drifter took note of any additional information that was important during the questioning.

She wondered to herself, how the monsters are dealt with in combat, though she waited for others to ask questions, or for the lecture to continue, so she can go on with her lesson. It's quite intriguing to her on what you can learn in such a class. About the many wonderful good and bad monsters and creatures and the way they act, living & breathing or undead.

She organized what had been mentioned, and what had been explained about them. She even drew some small illustrations on the side of the name of the beast.

The teacher looked around but it appeared the questions died down. She was just resuming her lecture when the bell was heard, signalling the 45min mark.
"Okay students, you have 5min brake before we continue." she said and then sat at her chair behind the desk.

Rhilin stretched her right arm from all of the writing she did and then she leant on the back of the seat, in a comfortable position, and waited for the class to resume.

((If you are wondering this is between 1. and 2. in the program. When between the same class like now the brake is 5min while the brake between two different classes is 10min.))

During the break, Akkeiyo looked over the notes she took. She had already accumulated a few pages and was ready for more. She reloaded her mechanical pencil with lead and stretched her legs a bit before officially being prepared for the second lecture session. She looked around the room as she stretched and spotted Blaze Drifter and Rhilin but decided against engaging in any sort of conversation with them. The break was nearly over anyway and she would much rather ponder the new facts in her mind than converse. 

Blaze Drifter stood from her seat and stretched her arms. She then took some slow breath-ins and outs, and prepared her hand and writing utensil for the next following set of possible notes to take.

She looked around the class during break. She simply smiled at Rhilin and Akkei. The break was short, and there wasn't quite enough time to converse. It was during the "half-way" point of the class, so she stayed focused and waited for the next session to begin. It felt like the class had gone through like a breeze. At ease, she sat down again and was ready to familiarize with more facts and extra details.

Since Rhilin was in the front rows and looking only forwards, she didn't saw neither Akkeiyo nor Blaze.
After a few moments the teacher looked at her watch and stood up again. She called for everyone to return to their seats before beginning again.
"The monsters not only dwell above the sea level but also below. In the oceans there are often sea creatures with the same variety as the land dwellers. Those include sharks, whales, serpents and other fish types but don't try to feed them or they will think that you're the lunch. They are dangerous because you don't see them coming until they jump out of the water.
On the ground there are burrowing types monsters and the inhabitants of the cave systems that travel downwards towards the dark depths of the earth. When going in a cave I highly recommend you to have some kind of torches or it would be best if you learn some of the light spells. Usually the burrowing creatures almost always have long sharp claws that they use to burrow but exception makes the worm types that have big sharp teeth. Usually you will hear a sound similar to an earthquake when they are near. If they are big in size they would send vibrations through the sound so you would feel them as the proximity increases."

Aquatic life was a topic that Akkeiyo had little knowledge about so she needed to take more notes than she did on the other subjects. As for the dark caves, she had nothing to worry about with her fire. She would be able to illuminate a cave without breaking a sweat! She refocused her thoughts on the blackboard and finished copying down the notes.

Blaze had some knowledge upon aquatic life. Some upon sharks and fish. She also knew upon the dangers of being close to them. She of course took note of them as usual. From Ms. Kerrigan's speech to the notes on the board. She had them listed on her notebook. For dark caves, she would still have to learn a bit more with her ability to create light or fire. She put that as a note to herself to practice, along with other important spells she had been assigned to do. She had not any questions in mind at the moment, so she continued to listen.

((And I'm running out of ideas to what I should write about. lol))

The teacher continued to speak general and not very specific things about the various creatures. Then suddenly, the bell rang indicating the end of the class.
"Next time we're starting in-depth lessons about every class's strengths and weaknesses. Dismissed."  she said and started to pack her things.
Rhilin was just finished writing the last bit of information before packing her things up. She and the other students started walking towards the exit. They had 10min to reach the next class.

Surely everyone had learned a lot from the actual 90 minutes they sit through.))

Blaze Drifter had quickly wrote the last few words on her notebook. She has finished just before the bell had rang, and she closed her notebook. Done!

Since she only had her notebook and writing utensil out, she was able to put away her materials without delay. She got up and prepared to exit. She was wondering whether to meet up with Rhilin or Akkei during the passing. She checked her schedule to see where she was headed. They were all attending the same class: Lecture on basic defense strategies.

Ha! No kidding! lol At least we don't have to read 90 minutes worth of text!))

Akkeiyo straightened her papers an scooped up her supplies as she rushed to get out of the way of the students stampeding for the door. Once the crowd passed and she had her bag packed up and ready to go, Akkeiyo, too, began walking towards the exit. She saw Rhilin and Blaze Drifter leaving also and decided to approach Blaze Drifter for the time being. She didn't want to feel like an entire outcast while she walked to her next class.

"What an informative lecture for the first class of the day. I hope the next one can top it," she said, trying to strike up conversation.

Yeah, it sure was. Ms. Kerrigan seems like a really good teacher. I learned quite some bits of information about the monsters and all that. We'll see what's coming up... Blaze Drifter replied to Akkeiyo as the students trudged along the hallway.

Rhilin soon reached the room for the next class but it was soon apparent that it was locked. All of the students gathered outside of the door and split into groups. Rhilin leaned against a wall, crossed her arms and waited for the teacher to unlock the door.

"Yeah, I wonder if she caught those creatures in her classroom herself. She looks too scrawny and pro animal rights to do such a thing," the ginger headed girl contemplated.

She talked on. "I've heard some upper class men talking about dissections further on into the year."

Well, she may or she may have not. Who knows?... the chocolate-haired lady replied.

Hmm, well... it is some sort of Biology class isn't it? I suppose we'll get to see how the insides of some creatures are. I'm... not really looking forward to that., she apprised Akkeiyo.

"It won't really bother me. The only thing that will is the smell that'll linger in the room and the halls." Akkei looked over to Blaze Drifter, "You have that basic defense class next too, don't you?"

Blaze had a slight face of disgust, but she quickly shook that off.

Yeah... Let's see... She overlooked upon the agenda she was carrying to double check her schedule.Uh-huh. Basic defense class. We should be right on-time. Though, not sure about the teacher...

"I guess we'll find out who it is in a bit. Hopefully, this teacher will be as passionate about their topic as the others," she said with a grin. Akkeiyo could see the door ahead of her along with a crowd of students gathered around the door. "That should be the classroom over there. I wonder what's going on."

I guess the teach isn't here yet. Say, isn't that Rhilin over there?
Blaze looked at the girl, sporting a white dress, leaning against the wall with crossed arms.

Akkeiyo looked to where Blaze Drifter indicated. She gave a sly grin at the sight of the white haired student and made her way towards the girl.
"Hey, Rhilly! Akkeiyo called out. She rested one of her arms on Rhilin's shoulder. "What're you doing over here all alone?"

Rhil quickly got annoyed by Akkeiyo and pushed her arm off her shoulders.
"I was trying to not run into you."

Blaze Drifter followed suit. She was in a pretty good mood.
Well, are you ready for the next class? What did you think of the last one?, she asked Rhilin.

"I'm always ready. As for the last class, I think we won't need a book since she is one."

Ms. Kerrigan's a pretty darn brilliant teacher. Unless she's not available to us at some point in time, it wouldn't hurt to bring a book. Though, if she lectures us like this and writes the stuff down on the board, it makes it much better., she imparts with Rhilin.

Akkeiyo gave a chuckle at Rhilin's reaction to her and gave the girl her much needed space. She listened to the conversation with loosely crossed arms.

"Let's just hope that with all of the information she spews out at once will help us in the end when we're beyond the wall," Akkeiyo half jokingly said. A figure opening the classroom door caught her eye.
"That must be the teacher over there..." she mumbled to herself.

Rhilin looked at the door and saw how the students started entering the room. "I guess it is." she said and entered the room then she proceeded to  take her usual spot in the front.

((Edited the ending a bit. The classroom is a normal one for lectures but if you got something better go ahead. lol))

Blaze Drifter gave a slight chuckle. She had then entered the classroom and sat at the second row.

Akkeiyo followed the two into the room and found a desk in one of the middle rows to sit at. More students filed in behind her.

The teacher entered after the last of the students and walked to the back of the desk.
"Good day, students. Today in this class we will learn how to defend ourselves if our weapons and magic are unavailable. That means basic hand to hand, one handed and two handed weapons."

((If someone wants to take over you can but if not, I'll continue. lol))

The teacher spoke with a small, meek voice and adjusted his large oval spectacles as he did so. He had a long, sullen, wrinkly face and short black hair tinted with signs of graying. It as almost as if he had a deep set frown on his face. The short man walked with a hunch, carrying a short of barrier on his back that resembled that of a tortoise. His light green suit and brown shoes completed his look.

Akkeiyo wrinkled her nose slightly and looked off to the side with disgust painted on her face. This man looked pathetic for a top-of-the-line defense teacher.

((I was going to describe the teacher, but I still have the Secret Santa thing to finish by tonight. Don't forget! lol))
((Oh yeah, and I was going to make her female like the last one and one whose look consists of being a top-of-the-line defense expert. But that's too obvious. Maybe he just looks pathetic and know what he's doing like a proper professor :P))

The teacher wrote his name on the board. I'm Scott Kaiden. I hope you students are ready for your lesson. Be present at every class and try your best at any future exams. I recommend getting a good night's rest and having studied enough of your notes and details I've taught during the lecture before class. It's your grade. Your responsibiliity.

Rhilin didn't much care about the looks of the teacher as long as he could get the job done. She waited patiently for things to write.

((Yeah! It's always good to think wildly out of the box from time to time! Originally, I was going to describe him as a younger guy with protective gear all over his body who yells all the time and constantly looks like he's in a panic! I went with turtle teacher instead since we haven't had an older, boring, quiet teacher yet! Also, despite him looking like a turtle, he's quite fast and agile! :P))

The teacher spoke with a drawling, annoying voice as he began writing notes on the board. As he wrote with one hand, the other was tucked behind his back. He rambled on about subjects such as protective stances to the weakest and strongest points on the human body.

Akkeiyo could feel herself nodding off at times, not because of the lecture itself but because of the dull atmosphere that hung around the room.

It didn't took long before Rhilin too was bored. She was writing the information in her notebook with her right hand and was using her left to support her head. The teacher looked decent, for now.

Blaze Drifter looked bored, but she stayed focused and wrote any important piece of information to her notebook.

Mr. Kaiden had explained to the class upon how to protect oneself from being attacked at the weakest points of the body. It sounds pretty "boring" to others, but he really makes his explanations clear aside from the way he speaks.

Akkeiyo gave a large yawn and wiped her watery eyes. She didn't know how much more of this she could take. Thankfully, she was rescued by the bell, signalling the end of class. Mr. Kaiden halted his discussion about the importance of using the environment for protection and addressed his students.
"I will continue this lesson next class time. Remember the information we discussed and try to put it to use. Come to me if you have any questions."
Akkeiyo, along with numerous other students, zipped out the door before he even finished.

((Dunno. Some animes have some elderly guy that totally could kick everyone's read. lol))

Akkeiyo wasn't the only one bored by the class. Thankfully it ended and Rhilin took out her schedule after packing her things. Looks like her last class was two handed weaponry. 'I hope today they talk about scythes rather than some guy's big sword.' she thought and exited the room.

Blaze Drifter drowsily got up from her seat. While she had taken the notes she's needed, sometimes it had been written sloppily and quickly. She got out of the classroom and let out a yawn... Oh.... wow. I wonder what's for lunch...
She slowly was heading for the lunchroom, then she immediately remembered.

Oh that's right! Aaaaahhh! Good golly, I'm gonna be late! She then turned to try to find her next class. Since she was also attending it with Akkeiyo, that was her hint to if she was getting close to the classroom. She opened her map to see where the next class was also.

Good thing we have 10 minutes of break. What was the next class? Oh yeah. More lecture. Though, it's about that hand-to-hand stuff. Hopefully I can actually keep up this time. Blaze Drifter said to herself as she searched for the classroom, which was becoming near...

Akkeiyo stood outside of the Defense classroom and jammed her supplies back into her bag. She didn't want to spend a second more in that classroom. Afterward, she scooped out her schedule and map to see where and what her next destination was.

"Another "Hand to Hand" lecture, eh? I hope it won't be another useless history lesson," she inquired to herself. She already knew the general location of the classroom, so she put the map, along with the schedule, away in her satchel once again. Akkeiyo then began her journey to the lecture.

Rhilin soon arrived at her classroom which once again was locked. 'You'd figure they would unlock all rooms by this hour of the day.' she thought and again started to wait. 'At least I won't see Akkei this time.'
After a few minutes the teacher arrived and unlock the door. The gathered students flooded in the room.

Blaze soon noticed Rhilin from afar. Nope, wrong classroom. Ugh. At least I'm getting a little exercise and stretch than just sitting through the hours of lecture.

She continued onward. She sensed that she was getting close. Soon enough, she began to have sight of distant students, including Akkeiyo. And of course, the classroom's number.

It's about time. Yikes. About a minute left...

She put away her map/schedule/agenda into her sachel/messenger/side-bag and prepared for the new lecture.
Hopefully it's not as boring as the last one...

Akkeiyo walked into the classroom and took the same seat that she sat in yesterday. She propped her head up with her hand, still feeling the lingering effects of the previous class. She glanced at the the teacher and her assistant going through papers scattered around their desk. Ms. Draegar wore a pair of reading glasses on her face, following the words on the papers with her finger while Bernard looked over her shoulder. They talked in hushed tones, which were even more quiet given the distance their desk was to the students' desks.

After failing to hear what the subject of their conversation was, Akkeiyo turned her attention away. They were most likely going over the lesson plan with each other anyway.

Rhilin took her usual place and the class began. The teacher continued his lecture about the swords for several minutes before moving onto the next weapon which was...pole weapons or pole-arms. 'At least they have something in common with the scythe.' she thought to herself and decided to take notes on things she could apply to her weapon. 'I may end up getting something useful from this class and not be another total waste.' she thought as she was writing some of the information though her other arm was still supporting her head out of boredom.
"A pole weapon or pole-arm is a close combat weapon in which the main fighting part of the weapon is fitted to the end of a long shaft, typically of wood, thereby extending the user's effective range. A pole-arm is differentiated from a spear in that the penetrating 'edge' is parallel to the pole, rather than in-line, although many pole-arms also incorporate a spear point. Glaives, poleaxes, halberds, and naginatas are all varieties of pole-arms.
The purpose of using pole weapons is either to extend reach or to increase angular momentum--and thus striking power--when the weapon is swung."

Oh yeah. I was here yesterday...Blaze Drifter thought in her mind as she chose a seat that she sat at from the previous day (around the second row).

She had been settled and prepared herself for yet another lecture. So have the other students at their seats waiting for the teacher to prepare for another wonderful lecture about hand-to-hand combat. Oh splendid! Hopefully everyone's ready.

Minutes passed as the teachers continued on with their work, completely unaware of the students patiently waiting for the lesson to begin. Bernard was the first to notice their fault and he whispered his revelation into Ms. Draegar's ear. Ms. Draegar hastily sprang up from her desk, whipped her glasses off, and sped to the center of the classroom with her assistant at her heels.

"I apologize, students. There were some important matters to attend to and we got a bit carried away," she explained with a sheepish grin and a face as red as a rose. "So, who's up for learning some moves to start out the day?"

It was blatantly obvious that the teacher canned her original lesson plans in order to teach something more exciting as an apology for the wait. Akkeiyo had no qualms about it though as she listened intently to the lessons. The teacher would first perform the move on her assistant and then would explain all of the important details about the specific move.

The teacher of the two handed class continued with the talk about poles and after a while begun to explain different moves and techniques specific and non-specific to this kind of a weapon. Rhilin's was only interested in listening to him until she could determine if the technique could be of use to her. As time passed it appeared that nothing from today's lesson would be of use to her.

((Sorry for the lack of posts. I've finally beat that tough Final Level of Super Mario 3D World. And I've also still got a lot of schoolwork to do. X3))

Blaze Drifter was a bit intrigued upon how the instructors had demonstrated the moves and then explained them. She was able to understand the concept a whole lot better, and was also able to take good note on them. Even drawing a quick diagram if she could. She listened well. This sure is an interesting approach. Definitely makes learning less boring.

Ms. Draegar then performed another move on her assistant, and her assistant also made her move. She then explains the details upon that self-defense strategy. Bernard then adds on a bit of detail on his move, and its usage.

After showing the class a few basic moves, Ms. Draegar brushed her hands together, creating a tiny brown cloud of dirt from her hands.

"That'll be all for today," she stated as she put her hands on her hips. She received a chorus of moans. Akkeiyo gave a deflated groan and went back to propping up her head with her arm.

"We'll be continuing on in the text book. Now open your book to page 30 and we'll begin where we left off."

Ms. Draegar rambled enthusiastically about the various types of martial arts, such as karate and shibudo, while Bernard kept his eyes locked on the print, nodding  in agreement or adding details to the statement at times. Akkeiyo also heard her mention something about reading a book by some Sun Tzu guy, whoever that was. The class continued on until the bell chimed.

And the bell marked the end of today's classes with not a moment too soon. Rhilin was already hungry and she didn't waste any time getting her things and heading towards her lunch.

Akkeiyo shut the text book with a thump.

"I guess that wraps up the second day," she thought to herself as she got up from her seat and stretched. She then began packing up her supplies when hunger suddenly hit her like a brick. Once all of her possessions were collected, she slung her satchel over her shoulder and made her way towards the cafeteria.

Nnnnghh.... That sure was somethin'. Yaaaaay, lunch time~ Blaze Drifter said to herself as she stretched from her seat and placed her belongings into her satchel.

She had reached the cafeteria around the time Akkeiyo did. She was eager to eat, and also kind of glad that the lectures have ended for today.

Rhilin was already having her lunch at one of the tables. It didn't appear that she was expecting someone to come and keep her company for lunch.

Akkeiyo made her way through the cafeteria line, grabbing a cup of juicy blueberries and whatever the main dish was. The main meal looked to be some sort of meat, but even with her heightened sense of smell, she could not decipher what kind.

The red-head then walked over to where Rhilin was sitting and sat across from the girl as if it was becoming a routine.
"So, are you ready for the physical training tomorrow? I hear that the coach is going to drill us extra hard since it's the first day that we have it," Akkeiyo said as she threw a blueberry into her mouth.

"If he makes us do pointless things, it will be a long year. Also they said that we need to be in sports wear." Rhil said and took another bite from her meal.

Akkeiyo took a second to think about what she was going to wear or if she had anything to wear at all. As she did, she took a bite of the mystery meat. It didn't taste bad but it was certainly far from good. She set it back down on her plate and stuck to the blueberries.

"Know where we have to go tomorrow for it?"

"It says courtyard 3. I guess that one is for physical exercises only."

((And as of now we have 1 yard for that and 2 for weapon/magic training.  :P))

Ah, hey. It's you two. You talkin' about tomorrow's physical training? Blaze Drifter asked as she arrived at the table.

((Not even joking, I started sketching sports-wear for Akkeiyo as soon as that was brought up!  lol And good luck with your finals! I just finished mine!))

Akkeiyo turned, with an arm slung over the back of her seat, to see Blaze Drifter approach the table.

"Yeah, it's gonna be killer. By the sound of it, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the weaklings get sent to the infirmary because of it," Akkeiyo scoffed and threw more of the juicy berries into her mouth.

Rhilin looked at Blaze as she was approaching but then looked at Akkeiyo and said "I doubt that it would be that hard." then she took another bite.

Akkei's scowl disappeared into a more serious expression.

"We'll find out tomorrow. It sure won't be anything like some high school gym class though," she explained and continued with her meal.

Might be easier. Might be tougher. Only time will tell... Blaze smiled and nodded and began eating her meal.

Rhilin didn't said anything more, instead she continued eating her lunch quietly.

As the cocoa-maned lass finished off her lunch, she then asks her fellow acquaintances, "So, what are you two up to after you finish eating your lunch?"

Akkeiyo blinked perplexedly. She hadn't thought about that. The ginger crossed her arms and thought long and hard.

"I already finished the assignment for incantations class, and none of the other classes assigned any sort of homework yet,"  she reviewed as she searched her mind for an answer. I guess I might practice those moves shown in hand-to-hand combat class or something."

"Training." Rhilin said without a second thought. She then finished her lunch and took back the plate and the fork to their places before leaving.

Blaze gave a short wave at Rhilin as she left. Must be going to the training grounds,she thought and shrugged.

She then continued to devour the food she had. She later asks, Say... Akkei. Do you want a partner to practice those hand-to-hand combat skills?

We are in the same class after all. It could be beneficial for improving our skills. Just a thought though... I'm not really up for anything later., she added on and finished the rest of her lunch.

Akkeiyo gave a huff at Rhilin's shortness as she watched the girl walk away.

A flash of excitement sparked in Akkeiyo after hearing Blaze Drifter's proposal. Not only would the experience be educational and beneficial, it would also be a whole lot more fun than silently beating a training dummy again. It wasn't like she had anything better to do anyway. The ginger gave a small grin of fascination.

"Sure! Let's go out to the training grounds after we throw away our trash."

Rhilin soon was at what appeared to be a firing range at one of the training grounds. There were several students occupying the targets, who used all kinds of ranged weapons, from spears and bows to pistols and snipers. With the presence of firearms the are was quite noisy. Rhilin walk to the line that was layed for practise and looked directly in front of her. She saw a target. Then she looked around only to see that was nobody near her so the other two were free as well.

Blaze Drifter gave a nod, wiping her mouth with a paper towel. She stood up and stretched her arms, and proceeded to throwing away the trash she had. She only had to wait for Akkeiyo to throw away her trash as well.

Akkeiyo carelessly dropped her trash into the trash can and began following Blaze Drifter to the training grounds.

Rhil formed 3 blue spikes around her that floated against her target. After a bit of aiming she motioned with her left arm and fired them at the same time. All three hit the target infornt of her with near dead centre accuracy. After than Rhilin formed six spikes.

Blaze Drifter and Akkeiyo eventually arrived at the training grounds. Blaze took out an orange hair binder, and tied the back of her hair into a ponytail. Her bangs and sideburns remain the same length. She was eager to begin practice.
