Google Chrome used to work perfectly for me but now when I try to download something nothing happens, yet when I close Chrome it says the download will be lost. Also, if I want to upload a picture nothing happens when I click the little gray box that lets me choose a pic to upload.
Does anyone know what I should do?
I'd just say get a better browser, but that's mean of me. I guess you should just redownload Chrome maybe? It never happened to me when I used chrome.
I said I CAN'T download anything.
You still have that horror Internet Explorer most likely, I didn't mean use chrome to redownload it. :l I'm pretty sure that was obvious.
If I try to use IE it's completely blank and never loads.

I doubt thats an error...
I doubt saying that helps...
I need this problem fixed as soon as possible! I won't be able to play the Alpha if it isn't.
I'm not a proexpert at this sort of thing, but the usual protocol is to delete your cookies, but if that doesn't work, try reinstalling chrome, but if even that doesn't work, try installing Firefox and use that. At this point, your problem should hopefully be fixed. If it isn't, I'm still here for ya. ;)
How do I delete my cookies?
If you're running windows (any version of windows), go to start > run > cookies > and then delete everything in that file, except the index file. For mac, I'm not sure. I've never used a mac.
Clearing that stuff worked! Thank you so much!
No problem. ;) Glad I could help.
False alarm...
In any browser related issues you should try clearing your cache
Settings-Show Advanced Settings-Under Privacy;Clear Browsing Data-check cookies and cache and clear it all, see if that helps.
If not all I can say is to reinstall Chrome or a new browser(I use Firefox)
I said clearing it didn't help and I CAN'T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING.
EDIT: It sorta fixed itself??
EDIT2: NO. IT'S NOT FIXED AT ALL.
You may have a anti virus program that does not want Chrome to download anything. I wish I could help you more, good luck. ^-^
I have no antivirus programs.
That explains it then, you must have a virus. It's not Google Chrome it's a virus.
But I can't download an antivirus.

The only help I can provide is to say that you might need to rewind your system to a point where it worked.
Ok, the only other possible thing I could recommend is to try using IE in Safe Mode and see if you can work it, and try to download and install/run an antivirus(I recommend Comodo). I'm personally running out of ideas because i've never heard of anything like this ever happening.
On most computers running Windows you can open Safe Mode prompt by tapping F8 during bootup before Windows starts loading, and select "Safe Mode with Networking".
I have no idea what your problem really could be....

Yeah, just restore your computer to an earlier time by going to start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore (Just make sure you save anything you don't want to get rid of on a flash drive!). After doing so, try downloading avast! (a free and basic anti-virus program), and then download CCleaner (and use it often! About once every two weeks or so, depends on how much you use your computer). Then after doing all of that, Defrag your computer by going to start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.
But if you weren't able to restore your computer to a long time ago, you may need to reformat it. Completely. Meaning YOU WILL, want to save anything you never want to lose. But doing so requires you to have your Operating System on a disk (XP, Vista, Windows 7, those kind of operating systems). If your computer didn't come with it when you bought it, and you weren't able to anything that I said above, I'm still here for ya.
When I try to rewind it says that C: is damaged.
Sounds to me like you need a new hard drive
It's not that easy.
Obviously, it is that easy. It's called get money, which is impossible to do if your poor like me, and buy a new hard drive/computer.
I would suggest to try and get everything off your computer (put it on a external drive if you can) (or the only really important things on a flashdrive)
then maybe you could mess around with the hard drive or just get a new one if you had to
