The Beginning:

In the beginning, only a dreamer existed. Her eyes heavy laden with the burden of life. The burden of the day. Of stress, duty and the fear of death. It is said that when a dreamer has accepted their fate that others are drawn to them. Some are drawn in body, to praise and uplift the dreamer, to cherish them in their final moments. Some are drawn in spirit, surrounding the dreamer and uplifting them, pouring their respect and adoration upon the dreamer. And some are drawn in mind, pulled, tugged, often forced into their presence. This mare, so fearful of her death, has drawn to her many an odd creature.


Pony, changeling and demon alike. They are all welcomed into her dream, and that is where a true story begins. A story you live for a few hours in the depths of your slumber, and that you forever lose as you awaken. But somehow, you will always know those who made the journey with you. Those who joined you on a quest so epic, reality has not the power nor knowledge to tell it.


You find yourself among the trees, paths and buildings of a town called Trotstram. A reality made dream, and again made reality. Go now, and find your way home. Fight your way home. Learn what home truly is.

1: A Journey Begins:
[Spoiler]
A lone mare rests in the corner of a tavern in the small town of Trotstram. Her name is Explicit Escritoire, one of the few permanent members in a passing town, and a mare who spends most her days within The Iron Shoe, the name of the said tavern. She finds herself intrigued by young filly passing by, who should be weighed down by the books she carries, but is not. She calls to the filly, in need of sating her curiosity.


The young mare, one by the name of Miracle, soon becomes friends with the lone mare, the dreamer, Explicit Escritoire. Their journey begins there, as a loud, thunderous boom can be heard in the distance. As they leave to inspect the sound, they find the town in a panic, and they find the young mare's uncle, one stallion by the name of Rad Thunder. Rad, little known to the dreamer at the time, would have more importance in her awakened life than the entire dream in itself.


The three of them set off to an abandoned home, north of the town, deep within Timber Wolf territory. There, they discover something quite unexpected. A child, one of the changeling race, huddled beneath a table, nearly chilled to the bones with fear. The dreamer, the young one and the stallion welcome him with open arms, casting out all superstition and claims to his race.


The four of them, now a pact of friends that only proves to strengthen through time, journey to town, but are soon caught in the middle of a fight between the Timber and Thunder wolf packs. If not for the honesty of the young changeling, many lives may have been forfeited that day. To find such great character in one so small is truly a gift.


As they arrive in town, they are met with a fifth. One they will never soon forget. One who does not know himself, and rightly so. Fear, doubt, anguish and all other manner of curses be wrought upon the poor soul. If only the friends knew what they would have to do before this was all over.


And thus ended the first chapter.

2: Inner Blackness:

As the second chapter in the story begins, Explicit is met by her friend Ruby, the Diamond dog. Ruby is in trouble, having lost her ruby necklace during a delivery. Explicit agrees to gather a group of her new friends to retrieve the necklace. They bid their farewells, and part ways.


The party gathers, traveling to the southern border of Trotstram, where Ruby informed them her necklace should be. Upon arrival, they find a glowing red trail leading through the forest. Decay and dying trees seem to follow the red trail, causing some concern amongst the party of heroes. Soon after arriving, the party meets Farsight and Incognito.


The party chases down Incognito, finally cornering him at the flower shop in town. There, they meet Smiles as well. The party, now extended, returns to the tavern to discuss their plan of action. The issue is now much larger than a lost necklace, and the plot of the story seems to be pulling together. This is the point where the party decides there is something wrong within the forest, and they must return things to the way they belong.


Shudsy, the barkeep, informs the party that Ruby has completely vanished from town, almost as if she's been cut from existence. With their primary lead as to the cause of the corruption gone, they set out into the forest, following the red trail. Not far down the path, they encounter their first great being. Gaia, the earth golem, puts up a fair fight, but is taken down by the party, and shut off by a slightly awakened Explicit, who gains control over lesser glowstones.


After the fight, the party continues, carrying their wounded to a temple, made of several different materials and with rubies embedded all throughout the walls, floors and ceilings. The temple will be the 'heart' of their adventures for the remainder of the story. Shortly after their arrival, the party meets back up with Nameless, who had gone missing before.


Nameless has sustained fatal wounds, but thanks to the help of the Engineer within the temple, he is repaired and able to continue about his way. However, the wolf that caused his wound appears outside of the temple, and it turns out it's Willow. Willow is the Timber Wolf Pack leader. He challenges the party to a fight, in which they accept.


Near the end of the fight, Explicit becomes partly taken by darkness. Because of this, she sees the plans of those under the influence of the darkness, as well as unlocking several new abilities that she can't use right now, due to passing out after the fight. Pride was also taken from her during the fight, becoming a puppet of the darkness.


Explicit vows to hunt the darkness, and thus ends the second chapter.

Trans-Location System Explanation:

Within The Temple is a translocation device which can be used to teleport a party member from Explicit to the temple, or vice versa. This can only be used if the player becomes available for roleplaying or unavailable. As such, it cannot be abused to pick up items or escape from possibly harmful combat actions. In addition, a player must first reach The Temple in order to be available for translocation, due to teleportation being restricted to a direct link between Explicit's quill and The Temple's translocation device.

Benching System Explanation:

To help organize and maintain the roleplay and the group of characters therein, I have created a benching system for those people with more than one character. Instead of removing your second character as I had originally planned to do, I'm allowing you to bench the character you're not roleplaying as at the time. The character will be placed within the tavern. Players within the tavern can still interact with other players within the tavern, theoretically opening the roleplay up for two completely different roleplaying types: Adventurous and Laid Back.


There are a few exceptions, however. Pets are considered a part of a character, and they will be able to travel with whatever character is specifically selected to the own them. For example, Explicit is practically useless in most combat situations, only being able to benefit the party with her leadership skills. Pride, her Leocorn, is allowed to travel with her at all times to perform her basic combat actions. Following this example, the character Diesel will be allowed to bring Kito to combat situations as well, regardless of Diesel's physical stature. This is to make the system fair, rather than overly balanced. (Because lets be honest, balancing something that relies on human input to function is physically impossible.)


Characters can only be swapped out if the character currently activate visits the tavern for any reason, and the swapped character must reach the active party.

Darkened Earth Golem:

Abilities:

Vine Whip - The Golem uses the vines growing throughout its body to entangle or move its target. This ability doesn't require any preparation time, and does not force a resting time.


Blade Flower Toss - The Golem launches the bladed flower on its shoulder at its target, potentially cutting them. The attack is easily avoided, but deals great damage to anything hit by it. This ability doesn't require any preparation time, and forces a resting time of two base turns.


Golem Smash - The golem strikes at its target, dealing a moderate amount of damage and destroying any objects in the path of its attack. This ability requires a preparation time of one base turn due to slow attacking speed, and does not force a resting time.


Hard As Stone - The golem becomes hard as stone, causing his weak spot(s) to reflect a reduced damage value to the attackers. This ability doesn't require any preparation time, and forces a resting time of three base turns due to immobility. This effect lasts two base turns.

Enter Shadows - Willow enters the shadows, becoming unattackable for the remainder of a base turn.


Shadow Bolt - Willow fires a bolt of shadow energy from his claws at the target, requires ES mode.


Shadow Strike - Willow strikes at the target, attempting to cut them open. Requires ES mode.


Eviscerate - A flurry of strikes with the claws that causes large amounts of bleeding damage. Doesn't require ES mode.


Evade and Strike - A passive that allows Willow to auto-attack anybody that misses him for minor damage. Still requires a roll to see if he succeeds his counter.

When last we left off, our party was engaged in combat with an Earth Golem. Explicit, while bravely fleeing from combat, incidentally revealed the beasts weak point. The red, glowing stones embedded within its arms and torso were very fragile, and even the slightest bit of pressure from Pride's paw was enough to shatter one to pieces.

As the golem's life source was destroyed, he groaned in agony, and began to strike at the nearest tree. Within this tree was Incognito, the assassin pony that was 'saved' by the party only hours before. With Cog and the tree he rested upon in peril, the party rushed back into action.

Just before the golem shatters the branch, Incognito shouts to rad.
Catch and hold onto it!
He throws his yoyo to him and jumps as the golem hits the branch he is standing on is hit.

As the golem is thrashing about in pain, Farsight teleports behind it and attempts to bring down to the pony's level by smashing his mace into the back of one of it's legs. (Power Bash)

*Rad soars down and grips the golem's other leg and holds on tight*

Why isn't anypony holding it?!
Incognito smashes on the ground. A pony shaped hole is left there
And to top it: The yoyo he threw in the air before lands on his head.

The golem slowly turns to face Farsight after feeling the smash against the back of its leg. It does some damage, but nothing that reduces its combat ability. The golem focuses on the armored pony, preparing another golem smash, aimed downwards. The tree hit hit before falls over, landing and laying over the golems right shoulder, acting as a potential bridge.

Explicit hops off Pride's back, commanding him to assault the golem in hopes of re-directing it. Pride jumps forward, landing nearly vertically against its face and shoulder, and then hopping off once more in a direction away from the golem. The golem becomes confused, unable to decide which target it wants to face first. It passes its current base turn, allowing the party a chance to strike.

Get up Incog and hit those orbs! *holding on tighter*

Incognito climbs out of the hole.

He may not be very motivated, but he manages to attack with his yoyo again. he throws it at the golem's left arm, and the thread wraps itself around it.
It passes one of the gemstones, while the yoyo itself hits a gemstone.

One gemstone shatters as the yoyo smashes into it, the other breaking shortly after from the tightening pressure of the string. The earth golem groans in agony as it loses the power in its arm, and it slowly crumbles away. The arms turns to dust and dirty, joining the ground below.

Explicit moves herself to Pride, commanding him to strike again. Pride roars and strikes once more, landing on the opposite shoulder that the tree is on, pushing his paw against one of the gemstones. Unfortunately, his paw slips before it reaches the stone and he becomes constricted by the vines embedded into the golem.

"Pride, no! Somebody help him!" Escy shouts, feeling useless.

(I'm rolling a D20 to determine how well you guys attacks work. 1 is terrible, 2-9 is a fail, 10-13 is eh or a reroll, 14-19 is success and 20 is absolute success. Nova, I rolled a D20 for your first attack and just assumed the second one succeeded because of it. Good job!)

I got him! *He flies up and tries to fre Pride*

Farsight attempts to keep the golem distracted by bashing it in the leg again, aiming for the "joint".

Farsight succeeds in distracting the golem. As it turns, Pride is swung free of the vines, rolling as he hits the ground. Explicit hurries over to care for him.

The assault isn't over, though. The flower on the golem's shoulder springs to life, its bladed petals beginning to twist and before long popping off the flower itself, launching towards Pride and Escy.

The golem groans once more before speaking. "Witness... The fury... Of the EARTH!" echoes through the woods from the earthen construct.

Incognito throws 2 yoyo's this time, but not for a attack. He aims at the Bladed petals to protect Pride and Escy.
Guys! Attack the Arm!

Explicit breaths a sigh of relief as the bladed flower stops in its tracks, falling to the ground. The center of the flower blade has a small, red, glowing stone. The flower seems like it's trying to return to the golem. Explicit quickly holds it down with her hooves, examining it closer while the battle continues.

The golem casts "hard as stone". Attacks against its weak spots now have a chance to cause damage to the attacker. (Only on a failed attack).

*Rad flips over the golem and does a flying bucking kick at one of its weak points*

Rad's bucking attack successfully destroys one of the stones on the golems arm. The golem ceases to attack, stunned from the damage done. He groans again. He's obviously weakening, slowing down and performing less actions. Now is the time to strike!

Explicit quickly takes her book and quill out, making notes about the little flower blade, and prodding at the red stone. She rubs her hoof against it, wondering if there's a way to shut it off. As she's thinking it, it happens. Her eyes grow a little wide. Did I... she thinks to herself, deciding to test a theory.

((is there a way to request a critical chance? Like some kind of Power attack.
Something like:
Throw a coin 3 times.
If it is heads all 3 times: Critical
2 Heads: Normal hit
1 Time: Missed/Failure
0 Times: Critical failure.))

Farsight teleports to the front of the golem and attempts a swing at the weak spot in his chest.

(I kind of have a system like that right now. If I roll a 20 it's something super critical that basically wins. I can knock that number down to 19+, but you'd be surprised how many times people actually roll 20 when it comes to things I have planned. It's like the world is destined to destroy my hard work.)

Farsight's attack hits the golem, just not where it needs to be hit. The golem roars, another booming sound echoing throughout the forest.

Explicit thinks hard, imagining the flower blade re-powering. As she imagines it, it happens. The red stone has changed to a blue glow now, and the flower floats before her, as if obeying her command. She sends the blade back at the golem with her thoughts, having it miss terribly before returning to her.

(But of course when I roll for me it's a crappy roll  >:O)

Incognito prepares his yoyo's. He spins them around to let them gain momentum.

One yoyo flies to the golems head. It wraps itself around his neck.
At the next moment, Incognito pulls the yoyo and thus, launches himself at one of the golem's torso gems.
Just before contact, he hits it with a double kick.

Seeing his ineffective attacks, he decides to take a more supportive role.

Be bolstered by dreams! He shouts, strengthening Explicit and Pride with energy directly from the Dreamworld.

Both Rad and Cog successfully destroy the gemstones they target. The golems arm crumbles to the ground. Vines protrude from the sockets the arms were once connected two, and both take advantage of their targets being close to one another. Rad and Cog are both trapped and Pride is wounded and unable to act. Explicit looks out at the situation, feeling completely incapable. Despite that, she decides to take action. She gets up once again and gallops over to the golem. The attack she has planned is almost guaranteed not to work, but she has to try it anyways. With the boost of energy from Farsight, perhaps it's possible.

(Come on, dice. *Breaths on them* don't fail me twice!)

Explicit is just before the golem, and she places her hoof on its body. The golem notices and sends vines to entrap her as well. As the vines begin to pull her away from its body, her mind focuses as hard as it can, her hoof barely touching the golem's body now.

Thoughts swirl throughout her head, channeling through her body and pouring from her hoof. Explicit opens her eyes, a serious look in her eyes.

Shatter. . .

The thought becomes word, becomes action. The vines turn to ash, falling to the ground. The golem itself follows suit, turning to dust and crumbling to the ground. The red stones that once glowed were now unlit, their power stolen from them.

Somehow, the battle was won. Explicit passes out on the ground, her mind and body exhausted from her actions.

Farsight looks over the scene, his armor and mace vanishing from sight. He looks to see if Rad and Cog are alright, and then heads over to Explicit, an unconscious pony higher on his list. As he nears her, a jolt of energy charges his horn, he is attempting to revitalize her, hoping the fight did not take too much energy away.

((Negative roll modifier for exhaustion, I'll let you decide how much, Dungeon Master! :p))

No no no no no no!
And again, Incognito leaves his mark in the ground... 20 centimeters deep.

(Ever wondered what it'd be like to use shock pads on a living pony? Cause she's just unconscious.)

Explicit is shocked awake by the energy rush from Farsight. She rests on the ground, breathing heavily, not understand what's going on. Her eyes are deep black pits with two tiny lights - one blue, one red - shining in her iris. Her eyes slowly recover to the way they were before, her light blue eyes showing through. She blinks two or three times.

"W-wha. . ." she attempts to speak, but fails. It's obvious she's still a little exhausted. Deep in her mind, things are swirling uncontrollably, but slowly reassembling themselves. She slowly regains her mental capabilities as well, finally beings able to sit up and shake her head. "That was so weird."

[Explicit(Dreamer) Learns - Disassemble Glowstone]

(I got a tiny bit tired of my character being a flop in usefulness. And with Pride weakened now, she has to find some other way to help! I simply decided that since these glowstones seem to be the things of her dreams, she is capable of turning them off, or back on again. There's an item up for looting, by the way, for whoever wants it. It's the flower blade that the golem used, but now it's activated with a blue glowstone. It's basically a blade disk that you can throw, but it comes back to you. Hence the name Bladerang. :D!)

*Rad hops up from the bad landing and shakes until he's back to normal* Did we win? :o

It would appear so... He said, walking over to help Cog.

((Should've worded better. >.< I meant it as a jolt of energy, like when you're tired and take an energy drink.))

Explicit looks around, checking on everypony, and finally speaking. "I think I just turned off those red stones. I think they are what made it a thing." she says, hoping her words didn't sound like jibberish.

Really? Well, I hope no more of those are floating around.

Thanks to Farsight's help, Incognito gets out faster this time.
I'm fine. Let's check on the others.

He joins the others, and says, Ah, Powerstones. It makes sense, I've seen them used to power constructs before... To Explicit.

(Well, Jenzy, we can just assume you've been here the whole time and just chilling in the back so as to avoid harm. Or something. Alternatively, you can simply follow the red glowing trail that will literally guide you right to us. Depends on which you prefer.)

Explicit nods. "I think this will lead us to the source of the corruption, and directly through several more redstone beasts. I think I can turn them off, though, if that makes sense." she says, placing her hoof on the bladerang and forcing the glowstone to shine blue. "I think it's almost like a 'good and evil' system. I'm really not sure yet. Which one of you wants this, by the way?" she says, using her thoughts to float it around in front of her.

Explicit seems somehow content with the situation. She actually seems excited about it, really. As if fulfilling a destiny, or sating a desire.

Or curing an illness.

(I think Rad will understand some of the confusing story better than most of you. Or at least he should, he has a picture of what happens after this.)

I'm fine with my Yoyo's, but if nopony else wants it i would like to have it. It never hurts to have a plan B.

Explicit guides the bladerang over to Cog, letting him hold it. "It's activated, and it'll bind to you before too long." she says, somehow knowing how it's used. Something within her has been awakened, and she doesn't even realize it. "We should keep going. There's no telling what we'll face next, or how much time it will take to overcome."

Right. Let's keep on rolling! B)

Explicit guides the group along the trail of the redstone. As the party travels, the signs of decay seem to become less and less apparent. It's possible that the decay hasn't followed the path completely, but little do they know it's something else entirely. The heroes arrive at a large stone temple, deep within the southern forest. Steps lead into the front gate of the temple, spanning a good two stories up. The temple itself is grand. The walls are adorned with rubies (not the glowing kind), and all manner of beautiful stone. Marble, obsidian, all spanning up and down the walls, across the floors and above in the ceiling.

Everywhere around the party, the rubies built into the walls seemed to resonate. Each resonation fills the party with vigor and energy. The temple is clearly a place of healing and recovery.

"I think this is some sort of... shrine?" Explicit says, inspecting the rubies on the walls and floors. Small extending and retracting balls can be seen within each, beating as if a heart would. Upon a shrine at the end of the temple rests a slab with ten orbs built into it, all black as night except for the first. The first was red like the other rubies, and when gazed upon, granted the onlooker with a sense of extended strength that passes a few moments after they move away.

"And I think it should be our base within the forests."

This is trippy awesome! I feel great in here! :D

He took the bladerang and gave it a few swings to get a feeling for it's weight and aerodynamic.

He inspects the rubies intently, pulling out a notebook and quill from his saddlebag, which had taken the place of his armor once more. He could feel the energy flowing into him. It was.... Wonderful.

Yes, this would be a great base camp.

"Dreamer" he thought to himself... Maybe that's why it feels so familiar here...

"Explicit? Guys? Anyone!?" The stallion's words echoed through the forest, reaching the relics they've found. It kept repeating itself, its voice filled with terror, fear.

"That was Nameless" Explicit says without a hint of doubt. "But I can't tell where it came from, it seemed to come for everywhere." she says, looking around, quickly inspecting each room of the large temple, trying to discover if the voice came from within the temple. After some time of searching, she simply gives up.

"And he's not here at the temple." She says, defeated.

How can a voice come form everywhere? o.O

It's not that hard to figure it out. I'll go get him.
Incognito relies on his sense to feel vibrations. By using it he can pinpoint where the pony in the woods is.
He walks back into the forest.

"Anyone!? Oh Buck..." He sighed, something seemed to rebel against him. "I'm going to die here! Why would they just...Why?"

Finding the stallion, he would be on the ground, his legs tight together to his face.

After walking through the forest for a short while, he finds a obviously scared pony on the ground.
(I could scare him now but.... nah. That's not the time for this.)
Hey you. Get up.
A pony in a pitch black full body suit is standing in front of nameless.

Whilst Cog is gone, Explicit decides to explore the temple. There are several things that stick out to her. In the northwestern hall is a device that seems to translocate those who interact with it to a specified point or object. If modified to translocate between a movable object and the translocator itself, it would be possible to establish a permanent link between the party and the temple. This means that the party could be sent to the temple when not available for journeying, and returned to the party when they are again available.

This, however, is stunted by one single flaw in the mechanism. The mechanism is designed to detect a very specific wavelength in the mind that indicates adventure cannot be continued, and unless that be the specific case, the translocator will not work properly. This simply means that the party can't send someone through the translocator 'just cause'.

During her exploration, Explicit finds a map in the second room on the left side of the temple. (Room 5, I think.) The map seems to be constantly changing, depicting the whole of Trotstram and all of the forest south of that at the very moment.

"We could use this map to figure out where to go next. My only concern is that it seems to be missing pieces. I think we'll need to discover these places for ourselves, but at least it will guide us in the right directions." she says, following the trail of corruption east of the temple and then south, realizing that it seems to branch at several points. "Strange..."

((I won't be on much today, should have said this yesterday, if I didn't. On the road, but I'll RP in my staying at the temple.))

Farsight looks at the map, nodding to himself. If its all the same to you, I think I'm going to stay here the next time you head out, study this temple and see if I can learn anything. He tells the group that is currently there.

And have some time to think... He adds to himself, under his breath.

Incognito makes his way to the temple and enters.
I'm back, but the pony i was supposed to find teleported away.

Explicit heads over to meet Cog. "Did you at least see them?" she asks, still very concerned about Nameless. Alone in this forest, there's no telling what will become of him.

@Smiles: You set out on the decaying trail through the southern forest, following footsteps as well until you come across a large, sunk in area that somewhat resembles a battlefield. The dirt is upturned everywhere you see. You can only assume the danger is out of the way, bested by your friends, but you're caught off guard when a plant with tiny, glowing red pebbles infused into its leaves moving towards you. What do you do?

I've never seen a plant like this before. . .
She waits to see what will happen next, but she is prepared

Smiles tries to get away from the flower, as she does she is whispering
the spell she had in mind. A old spell from her old spell book, it stun living things
for a very shot period of time. But Smiles believes it would be enough time to get away.

The flower uses its vines like whips, wrapping around Smiles legs, attempting to trip her.

(Yes, you did miss the fight against the golem. Don't worry, there's plenty more for the future. You'll need to get to where the rest of the group is, at the temple. you can meet up with Smiles, she's making her way there right now. Just enter the forest from the decaying entrance, and then follow the trail until you find her, and then the temple!)

As Smiles was about to cast the spell, the vines trip her; breaking her
train of thought. Laying on the ground she tries to think of a spell
from her spell book, Lavinia's Book. She thinks to her self,
If this plant wasn't so rude it would make a fine addition to the shop!
She then starts to hit the vines with her hoof, trying to force it to release its grip.

((Darn. That really showed courage huh Jenzy?))

Jenzy approaches the forest's decaying entrance and looks around.

@Smiles: The vines begin to tug, pulling Smiles towards the flower. Just then, the flower flips back into the pit, losing its grip on her legs and stumbling, stunned for a short period of time. Now's the chance to attack!

@Jenzy: The forest seems to open up like a gate, granting entrance to Jenzy. The faint sounds of a scuffle can be heard in the distance.

Smiles gets up, she looks around then spots a medium size rock. She uses an old levitation spell
to bring the rock toward her. As the rock is levitated, she begins to smash the plant with
the rock. She continues till she believes the plant won't harm her anymore.

(And to think, he was just trying to sate his basic plantamalistic needs.)

The plant ceases to move, its red shards ceasing to glow, the sure tell sign that it's dead. Aside from the sound of hoofsteps behind you, there isn't any sound in the forest.

Smiles drops the rock, she then looks over the plant. Leting out a sigh she
takes out a jar in her bag. While scooping up the dead plant into the jar she
looks behind her.
Hello? Is anyone there?

Jenzy raised his brow and looked side to side as he entered the entrance.

Hmmm... Um, okay... :s

He continues to walk in and hears something.

What in the world?
Jenzy looks side to side again, trying to figure out where the noise is coming from.

Smiles waits in silence, waiting for a respond. Thinking to her self,

She looks at the dead plant in the jar. Smiling she begins to talk to the dead
plant

Jenzy looked high and low, and seems to approach somepony.

He bumps into Smiles and takes out his flashlight...

Smiles blocks the beam of light from the flash light with one hoof, with the
other she pushes the jar back into her bag.
Who is there?! , she said while squinting her eyes to see

While rubbing her eyes she ask,
What are you doing here? This forest is too dangerous

Well, not exactly the part being alone. It IS dangerous to go alone...

Ms.Escy has been gone for a while. With the decay and all, I came to make sure
Ms.Escy and her group was okay. . . .
And to see if any of the herbs and plants I normaly collect have started to decay.
She looks around to see if anything dangerous is near by. . .
I believe it would be smart if we keep moving Mr.Jenzy. . .
Smiles begins to walk deeper into the forest

Yup, I was lookin' for the group... Jenzy told her.

Let's go...
He shines his flashlight to where he was going.

Smiles nods at Jenzy, she then uses her magic to cast a night vision
spell on her self.
So, did they tell you where they were going?

Well, some temple here... Jenzy told Smiles as he shines the flashlight up and down.

Hopefuly they will find what is causing the decay.

A shame that it's going to wither... That is, unless that temple's the reason. And we could restore the place.

Explicit looks out one of the glass panes built into the side of the temple, having seen a bright flash from that direction only moments before. She squints her eyes and manages to make out a light, moving towards the temple. She steps outside of the temple to get a clearer view of what's coming her way, and she notices it's Smiles and Jenzy. She waves to the pair.

"Smiles! Jenzy! Over here!"

Explicit turns to Farsight, giving him a curious look. "What did you want to talk about?" she asks. "I was about to go rally everypony up for the next part of the mission. I have time, though."

"Alright, I guess we can do that." she says as she moves to a portion of the temple that hasn't been explored yet, with Farsight in tow. They arrive in a small room with only one entrance. "What's up?"

Do you remember when you introduced yourself to Incognito... And you called yourself the "Dreamer"? He asked the mare.

"Yes, but I don't know why I said it." she says, putting her hoof to her chin in thought. "I guess it just sort of came out."

He had to run. It was coming for him, the sound of its steps getting louder every seconds. The stallion was out of breath, he couldn't take it to gallop any more. He had to stop. It was impossible to run away...

"gggGGGAAHAHAHHAA!" His screamed echoed through the forest. It had overcome him in seconds.

Explicit's head was swimming with thoughts when Rad came around. "I'm the one that pushed h-" she cuts herself off before she continues admitting to a very embarassing childhood story. "Err, I mean,  hey, Rad. Wanna sit with me?" She pats the ground beside herself.

Sure. *takes a seat and shuffles through his jacket* What are Incog and Farsight up to?

I am not saying this because i don't want her to know. I'm saying this because it could put us all in incalculable dangers.

In the best case it won't have a effect or she won't believe you, but in the worst case she might accidentally create a paradox and kill us all with it.

I had heard there are dangers to Dreamers... But I did not realize THAT could happen. I will be more careful. It is interesting how you know this... He thought to Incognito, a slight puzzlement echoing across the Trance's link.

I just counted two and two together.
Before i met your group i was in that town. Every mind felt the same, but the ponies were yet different.
A while later i found your group and almost all of you felt unique. That's also why i wanted to hide and scout you out first.
And when she mentioned that she is "the dreamer" everything was clear to me.
Any idiot with that knowledge could tell you the same.

Explicit puts her hoof on Rad's, a small smile on her face. "Don't worry, you'll be safe, Rad. I'll beat the bad guys up if they try anything." she says with a soft whisper. As both Smiles and Cog walk up, she suddenly pulls herself away a little, almost as if a child in the act of stealing a cookie. She waves at the two of them.

"It's good to see you again, Smiles. And what did you and Farsight talk about, Cog?"

*Rad stows his wallet back in his jacket*

Trotted up to the temple, he chuckled. This was a temple? For him, it was a wreck; a dump. He had seen far greater temples through his travels. Yet, he gave a honourable stance, his smile wide and bright. At least there was a temple in this forest. Trotting inside, his smiled, continuing to the shine. "I knew I heard voices inside here." He said with a bit of excitement.

Farsight walks up, hoping Explicit doesn't ask about what they had been talking about. He looks over at the new pony he hadn't seen before, wondering why he'd be so happy.

We think it has something to do with these red orbs.

Smiles tilts her head in confusion
Red ords?
What do you mean?

"They're like red, glowing orbs, stones and shards. There are plenty of them built into the walls of this temple, but none of them are glowing. I think this temple may be a safe zone from the corruption, because the trees around the temple are still thriving." Escy says with a sagely nod. "I found an altar that has eight stones in it, and one of them was glowing blue. The rest were glowing red. I think it might have something to do with a golem we fought, maybe even an indicator that there are seven more of them out there. Or seven more of something...

She looks at Smiles' supply of herbs and her eyes brighten. "Could you use those herbs on Pride? He was hurt in a fight recently."

(You should know the shards, they were in the petals on that flower you smashed to bits.)

7 more big golem things? Oh joy... :I

Considering the properties of the first one, it might be possible that depending on the remaining number of golems...
I think i should put it more simple: The less golems there are, the stronger the remaining are.

It's just a theory but i wouldn't be surprised if it is the case.

The book doesn't say how to build a fire, but since its
old I believe it will be best if the fire is built the way the ponies
of that time would had. . .

Explicit points to the corner of the room where Pride has been resting since they arrived. "He's just over there, Smiles. I hope he's not hurt that bad, though." she says, worried for her pet. As she starts to speak again, she hears Rad come back - with Nameless!

"NAMELESS! You were attacked?" she says, getting up and moving to Nameless, checking him. He seems to be holding himself, almost as if in lots of pain. "What attacked you? Smiles, can you check him?"

Rubbish! :l Jenzy said, stomping one of his front hooves on the ground. It caused a little shockwave of flames.

Well, I should've waited. I didn't want to switch, but it seems I'm prepared now.
Jenzy takes out his flashlight and goes to find water...

He says wolves. *he places the pony by the fire*

"I've...been in...Gahhh..." He swore a lot, expressing his pain as if it was unbearable. "It's just...cut, but something...was injected..." In too much pain to speak, he laid down on the stone floor near the fire, thanks to Rad's help.

If he is hurt why not just take him to that alter over there?
He pints to the alter on the other way of the hall.
I may be wrong but i feel some kind of restoration power from there.

Smiles looks toward Escy and nods with a smile
Ofcourse Ms.Escy! Just bring him over here. . .
She starts taking care of Pride, by smashing herbs and
plants in bowls. She levitates her book reading over the instructions.
If you don't mind Ms.Escy, I believe I need a somepony to start the fire. . .

Jenzy re-enters with a small bucket of water.
Got it!

He sets the bucket down next to Smiles.

He walks over to Nameless. Do you have any idea what they injected you with??

"I...ah..." He couldn't speak, his words were unclear.

Does it really matter? Whatever it was, it was bad.

Smiles continues to smah the herbs, then taking a large leaf
out she uses her magic to cut it into eight even size squares.
Without looking up she said,
Thank you Mr.Jenzy, now we need the fire so we
can begin to boil the water. . .
She smiles at the hurt pony
Just lay there and relax. . .
Everything will be okay.
She frowns a bit as she finishes reading the instructions of
the potion

I can do something about the pain... But he will be asleep for a while...

Jenzy takes the sticks out of the bucket of water and placed them around a circle of stones and shot fireballs at it to evaporate the water out. Then he begins to rub the sticks together and it eventually sparked.
That ought'a do it.

He thinks to himself, (She only calls me "Mister" now, but not in the past. T'is rather strange, but... Eh.)
He shrugged.

Jenzy walks over to Nameless. He looks at Farsight.
He... does not look well. What happened to him?

Wolves. . .

"The wolf packs are in the northern forest. They don't come to the southern forest, why would you be attacked by them in a place they're forbidden to go?" Explicit asks, her eyes filling with signs of doubt. She couldn't put her finger on why she asked the question, but she knew she felt a little different around Nameless now.

Pride's eyes open up and he licks at Smiles hoof.

(Yeah, yeah. Fire.)

The cut near the lower stomach area of his body began to glow a dim red, if noticed.

"There was only one...covered..." Stubborn to accept defeat and succumbing to other resorts of pain-relivers, he continued to maintain whatever life he had left of him. "It was covered in...something red...ah...AHHHhhh..."

Incognito walks over to pride
Okay then. If everypony would be quiet for a moment, i'd really appreciate that.
He puts a hoof on pride's head.
Trance.
He tries to connect his mind to his.

He looks over at Jenzy and Explicit, Do these wolves "inject" their prey with some kin of poison? He asks the mare.

Smiles looks at Pride with a smile
Don't worry Pride, you won't be in pain much longer. . .
She takes some water out of the bucket, then she mixes the smashed
herbs with the water till it turns into a paste. Taking one of the squares she places the
paste into the square and flodes it into a small triangle. She places it in the fire and
begins to work on the other one. She also places the potion into the fire to allow it boil.
Don't worry Ms.Escy, everything will be better soon . . .
But I think I should warn you about this. . . potion . . .

I guess that partly answers my question. Though not quite. I have no idea. Explicit. Are these wolves poisonous? Jenzy turned to Explicit and asked.

How can a wolf be poisonous? That doesn't sound right... :\

I've seen worse in my travels. He said to Rad.

"No, the wolves aren't poisonous. The worst thing you might catch from them is rabese, but they consider that the equivalent of zombification and kill their own kind as soon as they show signs." she says, putting her hoof to her chin again. "But if the wolf had red glowstones implanted into it... There's no telling what it's capable of. And it would explain the entire situation. The glowstones seem to give monsters interesting abilities."

Explicit then turns to Smiles. "What is it about the potion? And. . ." Explicit gets a little softer with her words, "What is Cog doing with Pride?"

Your name is pride right? Can you hear me?
He sends his thoughts directly to his mind.

Anything's possible... Jenzy replied to Rad.

Jenzy says to Explicit, That's good then. Though... That... still sounds terrible.

Smiles has all eight triangles cooking in the fire.
She checks on the two potions boiling, stiring them to make
sure all the herbs are completely dissolved.
Turning to Ms.Escy she motions her to come closer with her hoof,
smiling weakly she whispered,
The potion is meant to stop internal bleeding by rebuilding the organs and any tissue
that has been damaged. . . But the potion must be taken while it is boiling hot. . .
These cooked triangles are needed to be taken after drinking the potion to
prevent any serious burns. . .
I think it will be best if you give Pride the potion . . .  

Well, if we don't do anything soon, it might be too late. He said, pointing out the obvious. I also agree with Incognito, that altar might be helpful...

"Well..." He sighed. "We bett-ter move then..." He coughed out.

*Sigh*
incognito walks back a few steps and takes a seat at the fire.

Yeah... :s Jenzy said, moving to the side.

He bends down to help Nameless up.

Jenzy walked toward Explicit. He asked her, So what exactly is going on? X3

He shrugs, his assistance being brushed aside, and follows Nameless to the altar, making sure he doesn't fall over again.

Explicit gives a slow nod, and then takes the potion. She can feel the heat within, and she can't help but hesitate, not yet ready to hurt her pet. Unknown to her, she's keeping the connection between Pride and Cog open by doing so.

"I haven't gotten...to know everyone's name..." He said while getting to the altar. He tripped halfway, it was obvious that he couldn't go anymore without assistance.

That... Is nice.

Look. What will happen to you in a few moments will hurt, but i offer you a way to endure it.
It will take all the pain away for a short moment. You'll only have to worry about resting and letting it heal by itself.
But in return, i want to speak with you again later.

Jenzy walked towards Nameless.
My name is Jenzy. I feel we have met before, but that doesn't matter right now. We need to get you fixed up... And back in shape.

He bends down and tries to gently lift him. My name is Farsight. I'm a Dreamwalker. I've heard them say you're called Nameless. Is that your real name?

Pride looks up from Explicit to the one he's registered as being Incognito. He blinks once at him and then turns back to face Explicit.

"Do it." he says, preparing himself for pain in case whatever it is Cog plans on doing fails.

"Pride, you need to drink this. It will make you better, but it'll hurt for a moment. Don't worry, I'm here for you." she says, pressing the potion vial up to her pets lips. She closes her eyes and looks away, dipping the potion and pouring the boiling hot liquid into her pets mouth and throat.

But much to her surprise, there isn't any screeching or yowling in pain. Instead, there's silence. An initial twitch from the potion hitting the inside of Pride's mouth, but nothing beyond that.

Smiles hurries toward pride,
Quickly! Eat all of these!
She gives Pride all eight cooked triangles

Nameless? From what I know, he is nameless. He doesn't really know his name. Jenzy told Farsight.

Ah, I missed that part. He says as he leads the nameless pony toward the altar.

Pride quickly consumes all of the triangles. For a moment, it passes through his mind that no pain means no damage, but he soon breaks himself out of the facade. Despite nobody realizing it, he's been able to understand them this entire time. The magic built up in his horn, which he can't use otherwise, grants him permanent passive effects. Longevity and Understanding being just two of them.

Incognito manipulates Pride's brain. His connection from brain to his nervous system to be more exact.
He limits the amount of information that is being transferred.
Pride could move like he usually would in his situation, but the feeling for pain is gone for a moment.

But this has it's price.
As the others take care of pride and are distracted with nameless, they don't notice that Incognito holds his head in pain as he sits by the fire.
Using his abilities on this level puts a huge strain on his own brain.
For him it feels like his brain is bursting slowly.

"Now...is not the time...for that..." He said, thanks to the help of Farsight, he managed to get on his hooves again.

Then let's hope this altar works and it can be a better time. He says as they reach the altar.

Smiles smiles at Pride and Ms.Escy
Pride should be feeling better soon, the triangles are needed
to keep his body at a normal tempature. . .
Even though the boiling potion is still inside, working its magic.

I assume you were out here fighting something big... said Jenzy.

As Nameless and his three escorts arrive at the altar on the right side of the temple, two blue glowstones begin to glow. A robotic, male voice can be heard.

"Welcome. I am the Engineer. I sense a rise in pulse. Do you have need of my attention?" says the voice, the altar flattening out and turning into a table that Nameless can be laid onto. There are two segments of the wall that release and trail out, almost as if arms to prepare the location for medical purposes.

Pride, still being connected via the link, knows the pain that Cog is feeling. His eyes fill with sympathy, and he attempts to drop the connection between his mind and Cog's, failing. He's forced to watch Cog endure the pain that should rightfully be his to endure. His body is quickly repairing, however, and his mind is still completely coherent.

Explicit smiles at Smiles. "No, I'm alright. Only my heart hurts." she says, and as she does, the red stones within the temple flicker once. Escy doesn't notice.

The nameless pony laid himself on the altar, ready for whatever it did. "You sound like...Seven. Heh." He chuckled. "I've got a...cut...something...injected..."

Smiles takes some tea leaves out of her bag,
Well, when my head hurts I drink tea. . .
I can make us some if you like.

She begins boiling the left over water, looking toward Mr.Jenzy she ask
Would you like some tea too?
I have enough leaves to make three cups. . . And may be one
for Pride. . . If he likes tea.
She opens her herb book again, looking for some mixtures that could heal
broken bones

The pain i am going through is nothing compared to what you would feel right now. You will only make it worse for me if you  force me to do this.
He forces the link to stay intact.

"Ftttttpht." Biting his tongue as strong as he can to hold the pain in, the Stallion's body urged and moved from all the intensity. His conscious managed to hold him put, though.

Forget I asked... Just be aware. I think somethings gonna be coming to us soon. Should be prepared...
Jenzy told them as he walked with the group.

Smiles pours Ms.Escy and the others tea.
She sips it while flipping through her book.
We will have to wait a bit before we can fix his broken
bones. . . The potion should be out of his blood stream before
giving him a different one

A large timber wolf sat on its haunches outside of the temple, staring at the entrance. His newly founded power gave him the ability to eviscerate his prey, friend and foe alike. He grins, his curling, crooked smile leading  right up to those empty, pit black eyes. All throughout the timber wolf's body, small red glowstone gems were socketed into his wood. His tail was littered with glowstone dust, still giving off a dull glow as well. He could smell, hear, feel - and even taste - the ponies within the temple. He could go inside, but he couldn't do any damage. The temple prevents evil from acting, but doesn't repel it. How curious, he thought to himself.

"When they separate from the temple, I will separate them from their spine." He says with a gravely, deep voice, now with a dark echo speaking out through his throat.

Ponies... Stick together now. I think I see something...
Jenzy took out his flashlight and searched around. Even using the strobe-function for a bright flash to the rooms that seemed too dark.

This is all i can do.
Incognito cancels the link between him and Pride.
Guys? I'll take a nap. Don't wake me up unless it's important.
He walks to an empty room and lays down on the ground there.

The darkened timber wolf continues to just sit and watch, his poison tracker now gone from the pony he'd hurt to lead him here. "How curious."

Explicit cuddles up with Pride and goes to sleep with him.

(A quick, related but not game changing detour. Just a peek at what's happening outside. This is for the players, not the played. Caramel is my character, the rest are friends on a different site. The second chapter is coming to an end. Chapter three is just around the corner!)

Outside of the mind of Explicit, there was a room. A somewhat small, white room, with a few chairs around. In them were several people she knew and cherished. Of them all, only one was still awake. Her daughter, Gael. Her eyes, too, were beginning to close in sleep. But something caused her to suddenly re-awaken.

Explicit's hoof twitched, the first sign of life aside from a steady beep in an hour at least. Gael's eyes were thrown open and she gasped. "Everybody, she moved! Mommy moved!" she says really loud and excitedly. A few of those in the chairs nearby awoke.  Caramel Glaze was the first to look over.

"What going on, Gael?" she asked, brushing Gael's mane.

"Auntie Mel, Mommy moved!" she says excitedly, a huge smile on her face.

Caramel looked at her longtime friend. She was still, and the movement must have just been a twitch or something with her nerves, which she knew were still working. She didn't have the heart to tell Gael that something like that was natural, she just held onto her and continued to cry.

The others around watched on, all dark eyed from the crying they'd done earlier. Explicit was well known by all of them. Arjana, Caramel's mate. Dasher and Flare, the friends that Explicit had tried to convince to let her write about. They were always doing something romantic. Healing Hearts, who was weary both with tears and from a lack of energy, having tried to cure Escy earlier, and several times throughout the days.

And Jenny, a Jackelope she'd met some time ago in a dark corner whilst reading one of her own writings. She was so nice. And then there were Gael and Pride, both right beside the bed. Pride felt useless, his magic only capable of aiding himself, and Gael felt the same, not really understanding what was happening to the only person she'd really loved for three years, regardless of whether she was adopted.

All her old friends were there, but her new friends would be her salvation.

(We're all at the temple, which you can see the location of in the picture on the first post. Most of us are doing our own thing in different rooms. Smiles, Pride, Cog, you and I are in the second room from the left on the bottom of the temple, and the others are with Nameless at the top right altar, having him recovered by the Engineer - the temple's surgeon, basically.

There's a timber wolf outside, very similar to the way the golem was, and after he's defeated, chapter two will end and chapter three will begin, along with another message from outside the dream that might clear up some things, and cause more questions.

Farsight is still in the "surgery" room, deep in thought. He knew where he was now, but not how, nor why, yet. He knew he had to help, but with the rot? With the creatures? These all seemed an effect of something, not the cause.

Perhaps time will tell... He says to himself.

TIMBERWOLF! AAHH! I KNEW IT!
Jenzy shined his flashlight at it.

Without any warning, Pride jumps out in front of the group, standing in a way as to protect them all. He lets out a roar, seeing the timber wolf. Explicit follows shortly after. "Everybody, something is out th-" she stops as she realizes there's a small group watching outside. "There." she continues, continuing at a slow walk. She looks out to see a timber wolf, slightly familiar. She looks at Cog.

"Can you warn the others? Tell Farsight to come."

(Edit: Ermahgerd. I know I can keep the timber wolf busy for now, but I don't know about everybody else!

Explicit watches as Cog go through the Temple. Her mind wanders for a moment and she wonders why Cog won't be able to assist. She turns back to the timber wolf, stepping outside the pathway of the temple, still safe as long as she remains on the steps. She just has to see why the timber wolf looks so familiar.

She moves closer and closer until...

"Rad, it's Willow. He's been darkened!"

Farsight is still sitting in silent vigil, keeping watch over the nameless pony and exercising his magic. And thinking, always thinking.

Incognito walks up to Farsight.
Farsight. Snap out of it. There is trouble at the temple's entrance. Escy wants you there.

Farsight snaps out of his reverie and stands. Alright. Keep a wat... Ear out for Nameless, he hasn't stirred since the "operation" and I don't want him wandering around if he's still weak. He says as he leaves the room, heading to the entrance.

Okay. I was planning to stay here anyway.

Explicit responds to Rad without turning to face him. "Like the golem. The glowstones are are buried into his body. Rad."

And how do we fix that? I don't think we can exactly hurt him.

Farsight trots up to the entrance. What's going on? Cog said you wanted me, but didn't tell me why. He hadn't noticed the timberwolf yet.

Incognito leans against the wall and keeps "a ear up" for nameless.
(Of all times i have to recover, it had to be this one. Great. Just great.)

He searches through his inventory for some herbs. Since nopony (except the passed out nameless) is around, he takes his mask of to eat them.
He has sky blue eyes, a blue/green coat and a middle long blue mane.

He stands there, pondering the situation. I could be of help with trying to find what's left of "Willow"... I could enter one of my Dream Trances and see if I can help him from within... He finished, his chin in hoof.

((Those days work for me, but this Saturday I'm going to be a bit busy till late for most.))

Explicit walks out of the protective aura of the temple. She puts her hoof on the nose of the darkened timber wolf. She smiles and looks directly into his hollow, black pits of eyes. "You can't hurt me, can you."

The timber wolf growls in a low tone.

"It's not the temple that's keeping YOU away. It's me. Why aren't you like the other one?"

The timber wolf goes completely silent.

"Then it is the temple, and me, both of us?" her face is very curious now.

Willow sits on his haunches, ever watchful of Explicit. Good, let her drag this on. I can't hurt her, but the darkness within me already is. Let her wither away from her lack of action.

"I know you can enter the temple, HE did."

"Waste your time all you want. You seek to have me relinquish this vessel, but I will not. He is my toy now, my puppet. I will kill his body myself before I let you free it." Willow's possessor speaks, truth and determination of a dark kind in his voice.

Explicit pushes her hoof harder against Willow's nose.

Release. . .

Willow crinkles his nose from the push and a slight itch. Hmm, that's unexpected. Does she already know? he thinks to himself before growling loudly.

Explicit flinches, turns and runs back up the steps of the temple. She stops at Pride, pressing herself against his comforting fur. "He's resisting the deactivation, we'll have to weaken him before I can shut off the glowstone."

Weaken him? Any ideas?

"A few." she says, petting Pride and looking up at the rest of the group. She clearly means them.

After eating the herbs, he puts his mask on again and waits.

Any ideas where we don't have to hurt him?

(The temple does give off an aura of recuperation. Pride would have eventually healed all of his wounds, but his were extensive and may have taken a day or two. You're just mentally given out right now, right? That's something the temple might be able to solve quickly. Note that wounds to the extent of evisceration would have to be taken up with the Engineer.)

Explicit puts her hoof to her chin, deep in thought. "A way to hurt him, without hurting him. . ."

(Too bad Jenzy isn't here, I would tell her to flash him with lights and see if that did anything. A blind Willow would be better than a dead one I always say.)

Incognito comes out of the temple but stays at the entrance.
If you want to take out a target, without killing it though, the solution is simple.
Burst.
He starts to radiate a dark energy from him. Whatever he is up to, he will attack with something.

The timber wolf looks up, his face contorting a little. Deep within his thoughts, voices can be heard. Not just the voice of the one that darkens the wolf, but the voices of all the other six darkened creatures as well. They all seem to be linked, and they all seem to be the same.

This is my first Burst. Anti Matter.
Set program. Anti Lance.
Some of the radiated energy forms a very small sphere. It is as big as a marble only, but it's danger can be felt.
He holds it in one hoof in front of him while stretching some of it's mass with the other hoof. It looks like he is holding a large rubber band.
Incognito aims at the Timberwolf.

((Which is why I didn't have Farsight using any of his abilities and having dialogue instead. He missed one fight already.))

Waking up from his deep slumber, the stallion rose up, his cut staying the same. He couldn't tell how long he had slept, but judging by the aching and numbing, a few hours at best, maybe more. Hearing the commotion of the ponies outside, he limped towards the entrance of the grand and glorious temple they were in, despite it being old. He got his left hoof on his cut again to hold it in, as it wasn't healed completely, he arrived at the entrance.

"Hey...What's g-going on."

Pride suddenly hops into action, rushing down the steps to the edge of the temples protection, being able to feel the change within his body. He lets out a might roar, issuing a challenge to the timber wolf.

"So, you send your pet to fight me?" Willow says, continuing to bide his time. "Your threats mean nothing, you would not willingly risk your pets li-"

Willow is cut off by Pride as he jumps out to strike at the timber wolf, very unexpectedly. Explicit turns to Nova and nods. "Whatever you were going to do, now's your chance. We'll keep him distracted. Just tell me when he's weakened and I have a chance to turn his stones off."

Explicit moves down the steps as well now, picking up a stone with her magic, thinking of a strategic action.

(And charge.)

*Rad flies in to divert the wolves attention from Pride*

She walks out of the room rubbing her eyes,
Sleeply she said
Ms.Escy how is Pri-
She stops in the middle of her sentences. Not knowing what to do.

Understood. But whatever you do, do not use magic under all costs.
Activate program.
He releases his attack. it turns back to a sphere and has a moderate flying speed.
It flies over the timberwolf missing it only barely.
((now is a good chance for something like "Ha missed!"))

Jenzy gets from behind the timberwolf and charges a fireball.
(If moving, following it from behind.)

Farsight is armored once more, in place of a mace he has a spear and shield. He charges into the fray.

Pride rolls on the ground with the timber wolf for a few moments before using the wolfs body as momentum as he pushes his back paws against him, lifting off into the air for a clean getaway before turning, ready to go in for another strike. The force of Pride's push forces Willow into a tree, which breaks and falls over him. Willow falls to pieces, but quickly re-connects with his magical bonds. As he repairs himself, however, he slowly fades into the shadows.

Willow uses Enter Shadows, becoming invisible to the naked eye. He prepares to use Shadow Strike on a random target.

Pride roars, trying to draw his attention, and also to obey Explicit. Escy knows that Cog can sense sound waves, and is hoping something like that is enough to help her target Willow. She never expected it would have been this helpful.

Smiles stays a distance away from the fight.
Not very good at fighting she thinks of a way to help.
She then remebers that a certain herb and plant crushed together
can make explosion powder when exposed to air. She then sits on the ground, crushing
the herb and plant together rapidly.

Where'd he go?

Jenzy throws the volleyball-sized fireball at the timberwolf up close to it.
Hmm? Where'd it...

Right there!
Activate homing.
The small black sphere that missed just a moment ago, gains extreme speed and aims at the closes source of energy.
It strikes through jenzy's fireball and then continues to fly at the timberwolfs crystal cores. Invisible or not, it knows where the cores are.
((diceroll?))

Jenzy watched as the black sphere follow the timberwolf.

AAH...
He threw another fireball that bounced and followed the timberwolf. But it doesn't home on it. Jenzy slowly goes toward it.
((Dice Roll?))

(Nova succeeded, whatever Jenzy did succeeded with the lowest possible roll.)

(He'll act as soon as you two are done)

The sphere hits one of the timberwolf's crystal cores, and drains some of it's mana. It drains enough mana of him to weaken his invisibility.
The core remains intact though.

Smiles crushes the herbs and plants into a powder, then puts the powder in the jar.
After adding a few more herbs to the powder she then shakes the jar till it starts to glow.
She then she moves slowly toward to the fight

Willow can feel his invisibility fading, and his attack is canceled. He comes to a full halt, turning and ready to strike again, he rushes at Rad, jumping to strike him out of the air, but just as he does, Pride knocks him out of the air, going into another rolling fit. This time as he pushes away, Willow claws at his back paw, immobilizing him. In the act, Pride bursts two of his cores. He growls low, in pain, but he continues his assault by returning to attack Rad once more.

Explicit quickly rushes out to Pride, knowing that Willow, for whatever reason, cannot harm her. She checks on Pride, and sees the pain in his eyes. She grabs his paw, pulling him the best that she can towards the temple, hoping to get him within its healing aura.

Willow notices this mid-attack, but cannot do anything to stop it. He lets out a loud howl as he's close to striking Rad.

[Cores Remaining: 11 - random body parts.]

Ah, Nice! Jenzy said as the orb made the timberwolf visible again...

He looks at Incognito.
Hmmm, I don't think I've asked for your name yet. What is it? Jenzy asks.

Bring it! *he flips back and waits for the right moment, then leaps up and performs a pele kick on Willow*

I am incognito the thief. And today, i will steal this enemies power!
Set program. Lance!
incognito prepares another lance attack.

Smiles levitates the explosive jar, she takes aim for Willow.
She waits to make sure no one is in the way, then throws the
Jar screaming,
Look out!

Farsight casts "Waking Nightmares", hoping the nightmarish creature has fears.

((Oh good. I didn't miss a bunch for the last few minutes. Forgot to warn and went to a friend's to borrow Luigi's Mansion))
I'm Jenzy. Nice to meet you.
Jenzy gets out of the way from incoming attacks to the creature.

(Seriack fails due to no fears (and a low roll), Smiles misses due to a low roll, and Rad got a 20.)

Willow takes the moment of reprieve to reactivate his Enter Shadows ability just to be slammed in his face by Rad, who immediately takes him out of invisibility and forces him to hit the ground hard. He gets up, seeing that all the stones on the right side of his body have been completely destroyed. His power is weakened immensely, preventing Enter Shadows and all abilities that go with it. Now he's stuck in plain sight, and his first target is Pride. He readies up an Eviscerate, preparing to cut Explicit's pet into pieces with all his might.

Explicit notices then, and starts to tug at Pride with increased vigor, actually managing to move him now.

(Well, this harbors a potentially devastating outcome.)

((Critical hit!! It's super effective!! ovO))

*Rad however lands awkwardly after the kick, causing him to stumble for a bit*

I won't let you.
Incognito jumps in front of Excy and pride.
Change program. Shield!
The small sphere changes to a big shield. Upon contact it will drain a high amount of energy.

Jenzy took out his flashlight, faced the timberwolf and let out a very bright Flash.
((Dice Roll for chance of "Dizziness"? From the flash and how the next attack(s) of the timberwolf may miss.))

Smiles opens her spell book and cast The Cursed Red Rose on Willow
( If it hits, its a Red Rose with a sharp that's flys toward him and stabs him.
It also has a chance of poisoning him, but a very low chance )

(Successful flash, 1d4, roll of 2. 2 Attacks missed, one being this one.)

Willow stumbles, crashing into the shield and having his energy drained. He gets up, very weakened now. Only four crystals remaining. Explicit looks up and sees her chance. She rushes at Willow, places her hoof on his nose. She can see the look of fear in his eyes.

Wait, fear? But Farsight's attack failed.

Willow begins to laugh aloud, stumbling away from Explicit. "You hesitate because you know I speak the truth. Willow will die, you see it in his eyes."

"LET HIM GO!" Explicit says as she hoof bumps the wolf in the nose. He surprisingly moves away with a whimper, and then growls at her.

"Too late. Willow is gone, and so is Pride! Hahaha!" he says as he moves to strike Explicit, his claws coming down hard, but ceasing mere inches away from her, unable to do her harm. He still makes his point, though. Staring into what could have been her death, Explicit is horrified. That fear, combined with the darkness within Willow, slowly begins to take her, until something the entity said creeps across her mind.

Pride is gone? she thinks to herself, fear vanishing for a moment, she pushes Willow away, breaking another stone, and leaving him nearly defenseless on the ground. She rushes over to where Pride is - or was, rather. A dark shadow in his shape begins to melt into the ground, carrying her pet away.

"PRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

Willow attempts to strike out at the nearest target in futile attempts, his target being Rad. His attacks fails, however, when a sharp thorn pierces his paw, sticking him to the trunk of a tree.

I'm sorry Explicit, but there's no choice now! *he rears back and tries to buck Willow in his remaining orbs*

Jenzy throws 3 baseball-sized fireballs at Willow.

Smiles runs over to Explicit and said
Ms.Escy. . .
She looks toward Willow, she looks again to Explicit
If we can get one of the orbs then we may be able to bring Pride
back. . .
She then cast the second part of The Curse Red Rose on Willow
( This causes a great deal of pain, not damage but it weakens him
to the point he can't move )

Explicit starts to grind her teeth in anger, and gets on all fours. She turns to face Willow, her eyes pitch black with a tiny red and blue dot deep inside, and moves towards him. The kick from rad lands, busting another shard. Three fireballs hit, doing more pain, but not breaking any stones. At this point, Willow can't fight back at all. Explicit puts her hoof on his nose one final time.

Sever. . .

And the darkness leaves him. He falls to the floor, hanging from the tree where his paw is pinned. Explicit brushes the tree and the thorn decays and falls to pieces, releasing him. Explicit's eyes turn back to normal and she blinks, the blackness being turned to tears that roll down her face. Willow looks up at her, the pain obvious in his eyes. But there's something else there. Gratitude. She smiles at him.

"Die easy." she says to him, her voice breaking and squeaking as she does. She places her hoof over his open, teary eyes, and when she moves her hoof away, his eyes are missing and the remainder of his body falls to the ground as ordinary pieces of timber.

Whew...glad that's over... :c

Explicit turns to Rad. "It's not over. I saw what it wanted when it tried to take me. It wants me dead, and it won't stop trying until we kill it." She says, her voice full of sadness.

"And it has Pride. It has Pride, and that's not all. It has things that we can't fight, you and me. Things that we must fight. I don't know what it is, but I know it hurts to feel it." she falls to her side, looking on over the group.

"Please don't let it take me. . ." she says with one last, whimpering rush of words. And then she passes out.

(Recovery time! I actually cried writing this progression .-.)

Escy! *he hurries over to her and picks her up*

Jenzy called out to the others.
Yeah. Remember. I don't think it's over yet...

Smiles picks up the piece of timber, then said
Come everyone, I'll make a few potions to heal any wounds. . .

Incognito walks over to Escy and Rad.
He checks her vital signs.

Jenzy gets to the group.

So, how's everypony?

(I'm going to let you all continue to roleplay whilst I whip up a new cover picture and cover poem for Chapter 3. Check out the updated information in the first post, it has the old poem and cover picture, a full boss list (Minus one), and a few more tiny features, such as improved navigations. I'm also going to write up the literate chapter 2 summary. I might be unconscious, but I'm still busy! And I leave you with this.)

The doctor walks out, her eyes red and her hoofs rubbing them. She turns and walks to Gael and Caramel, who immediately notice her and move over from adrenaline. News was news.

"I have something to tell you about Miss Escy." the doctor says with a blank look on her face, attempting to hide any emotion in the news she's about to tell.

Caramel made an assumption from her expression. Gael looks up at the doctor and then tugs on Auntie Mel's mane. "Mommy's gonna be okay, right? She moved?" she looks up at Caramel's sad expression and her own expression follows suit. "M-mommy..." a tear begins to well in her eye.

"Your mother's sickness seems to be..." she says with a hint of disbelief in her own words. "lessening."

Caramel looks up at the doctor. "What?!? It's going away?!?"

"It's regressing" the doctor says quickly, attempting to control the sudden change from depression to excitement. Gael picked up on what the word regressed means, obviously something good, and joined in her Aunt's excitement.

Farsight's armor fades away, as well as his weapons. As he turns... A small tear can be seen falling from his face. He FELT the pain, the fear... Although he knew it, and it pained him, saddened him, for it was the thing he fought... And yet he felt worthless here, his spells not appearing to work, when they should be at their most powerful. With sorrow in his heart, he turned back to the temple, following the others.

She's fine... considering.  :c
Bring her inside so she can rest rad.

The stallion, considering at the events that have concluded, chuckled. He was useless to the group, everyone thought that he was a weakling, but that, that was an advantage. No-one would doubt such a psychically disabled pony like him, and if they did, it would be too late.

He scanned. The enemy of his enemy was his friend, and in this case, the surrounding species have been his "friend". By combating the corrupted wolf, Willow, there was a chance, a chance for the dark evil power within the wolf to succumb and merge into the stallion, creating a stronger monstrosity within him.

He chuckled with defiance. All he had to do was wait...

Smiles walks ahead of everyone, she enters the temple to begin making a few potions.
She takes some herbs and berries and begins to crush them.

Right. *he brought Escy into the temple*

Farsight enters the temple and moves off on his own. He enters one of the empty rooms off to the right. Walking to one of the corners, as far from the door as possible, he fell to the floor... Weeping for the pain he could feel from every other pony... Except one... But he could not tell which, only that it felt malicious.

Ah. Alright. I see...
Jenzy follows
((Sorry for slow progress. Talking with Julius and finishing a sketch x3))

Smiles builds a fire and begans to cook the berry and herb mush.
She takes a large leaf and cuts six circles out. As she waits for the
mush to cook she takes out the jar that has the dead flower that attack her earlier in
it. She grins at the dead plant and whispers,
Don't worry. . . You will live again . . .
Very soon. . .

Incognito walks to the temple entrance but remains there.
He pays attention for anything outside to make sure the group doesn't get surprised.
Aside from a small headache, caused by his anti matter burst, he seems to be fine.

*he sets Escy down in the temple by the restoration altar*

The Engineer buzzes to life, immediately recognizing the life signature before his altar. "She has been harmed. Place her upon my table." it commands as the altar turns back into the table.

*Rad lifts her up and places her on the table*

The stallion walked outside where Escy had once shed the tears of darkness and despair. It was a pity, a glorious pity to have been a soul wasted in the process of extraction, but victory cannot come withou sacrifice, no victory could without.

Digging a small patch of dirt with the spare hoof he had, he tapped in the ground, hoping that the darkness within the wolf still laid in containment below.

Smiles takes the cooked mush and puts it in a jar full of dirt.
She then mixes the dirt and mush together then plants the dead
flower in it. Hoping to bring it back to life.

I gtg... Parents said I need to go do something outside. I've been here on the PC all day :\))

Farsight stood, wiping a few of the tears away. He knew he had to press on, for his friend's sake. He walked into the surgery room to check how Explicit was doing.

How is she? He asks Rad.

Smiles watches the plant, hoping the orb will glow again. . .
She flips through her spell book, looking if any pages has
any information about the orb.

The engineer says she's hurt, and she's still out.

If Rad looked, he'd see that Farsight's eyes were still puffy. He sighs. I feel worthless Rad...

You okay dude? o.O

Do you know what I am, Rad? He asks.

There's a slight breeze, and the a blue glow coming from past the book that Smiles is reading. The glowstones within the flower begin to light up with a blue glow now, rather than the red one from earlier. As well, the gems on the walls of the temple go from no glow to a blue glow.

Outside the temple, nothing can be seen by Cog. However, a slight humming can be heard from inside the temple. Melodic. A blue glow shines through the windows of the temple, illuminating the outside.

Outside, where Nameless is, a dark slither wraps itself around his hoof slowly, etching across the wound he's holding in, healing it completely. As the healing is done, a dark voice speaks; "You seek to harness my power, but you will only be taken by it. Things are planned that you do not understand, and even the highest of powers must answer to another."

Inside the temple, at the Engineer's altar, Explicit lies limp upon the table. The gemstones begin to glow blue, and the Engineer speaks. "Her wounds are not mine to heal. The temple will help, but I am of no use. There is a hurt within her that only she can cure. Rest, though, for her pain cannot reach her here."

The party looks on, watching her. Something happens. Something very, very game changing. Explicit's cutie mark disappears.

Thats... Not good... He looks to Rad, If you wish to know more about why I asked you that question, ask me later. I'm going to get the others. He says as he turns to leave.

What's that?
Since no danger is nearby, Incognito searches for the source of the humming as he walks though the temple.

"I have been already corrupted by your others." It had happened while looking for his friends. When he fainted, the power surged within him...it laid within him. The power of hatred, revenge. It overcame him, but he managed to control it. It shouldn't be a problem to survive another dark soul merging into him...right?

Right. If he were to survive, to win, he must.

"Does it not matter? It seems that you have already taken over me." He stared at the black aura which had healed him. "You want me. I only seek for more, like you. So, we've come to a agreement. Join us, and we shall overcome. Join us, and we shall triumph. Join us, as we will find our true purpose, together...Together..."

He hurries to find Smiles, calling out her name. Smiles, where are you?

Smiles look around, then puts the plant back into her bag,
shouting she said
I'm right here!

The flower pops out of the soil, seeming to hover out of the bag on its tiny tentacle legs, and it wraps itself around Smiles' hoof, almost as if in an embrace. It then proceeds to climb up her body and rest on her back. (Congratz, you have a companion now -w-)

Suddenly, the blue lights all around the temple dim down and moan can be heard from Explicit.

"She awakens a little more." the Engineer says, quickly reversing its words. "erom elttil a snekawa ehs. She awakens." It almost seems as if it's correcting itself, for whatever reason.

"A-ah. Am I?" Explicit says, her eyes opening slowly.

"Just to prove how little you understand. We are not anger. We are not hate. We are something else. We are biological." the dark voice says to Nameless. "But we will allow you your chance. Be our puppet, be our master, our allegiance is the only truth to your word." and with that, the darkness pierces into Nameless, causing his blood to boil. "Now your body dies just as slowly and painfully as your heart ever did."

Escy! You're awake!

Smiles grins at the flower, she gently rubs the flower with her hoof

He follows the sound of her voice, and finds the herbalist. Somethings happened to Explicit, head to the surgery room. He says, turning to find Cog next.

Falling to the ground, his body somewhat smoking. The stallion chuckled as he got up from the reason shockwave of the darkness entering him. "Biological beings have emotions, hatred and anger are some emotions..." He chuckled, two victorious won.

Smiles makes a look, then shouts

She then runs toward the surgery room . . . Even though she doesn't
know where it is, but don't worry she found it eventually.

Explicit sits up on the table, rubbing her eyes, and then she gets down, the table turning back into an altar. She looks around and her eyes seem to show confusion. "This place looks. . . different." she says, moving away from the altar, and falling into Rad. "And you look. . . better."

Explicit helps herself up, looking at everypony present. Everything looks a little different. She feels different. She inspects herself, looking over her hooves, playing with her mane, and checking her flank. "Hmm, still a blank flank. Guess that theory is out the window."

(Jenzy, half of us are at the Engineer's altar, Cog is coming in front the temple entrance, Nameless is off completely underestimating the power he's absorbed and Farsight is running around telling people Explicit is awake.)

Still? What are you talking about? You just lost your cutie mark!

Jenzy was looking around for the group. He flashed his flashlight from one side and flashed again at the other, altering as he walked.

Smiles arrives into the surgery room, out of breath.
She tries to speak
Ms.Explicit. . . Are. You. Okay?
She thens looks to see if the flower is still on her back

(The humming was coming from the room Explicit's in, and it stopped when the glowing stopped. Sorry I forgot to mention those. Bad DM!)

Explicit smiles at Rad. "Of course I didn't, that would be horrible. My whole life I've dreamed of it, and now-" Explicit stops speaking, staring off into space.

What is it about that word that distracts me so? Dream, dreams, dreamer, dreamed, dreaming.

"You don't look like you're joking." she says plainly, seeing the true concern in Rad's eyes.

Farsight is still wandering the temple, looking for Cog, Jenzy, and Nameless.

Incognito stops in the middle of the temple.
Strange. I was sure it came from inside.

Jenzy was looking around for the ponies as well. It seems they separated after the battle.
Alright Jenzy. You manage to do it! Yes! See? It's more effective if you get closer to the enemy.

Smiles walks over to Explicit and Rad
Hey, that other pony said something happened
to Ms.Explicit. . .
But she looks fine to me.

Trotting inside the temple, he smiled. He had obtained power. Power to defeat, power to victory. He trotted past Farsight, not saying a word, not giving a glance.

Explicit looks at Rad, cocking her head to the side. "How so?" she asks, stepping a little closer. She turns to Smiles as she comes through. "Well, I remember feinting after that last fight. Something just completely drained me. Then I woke up here, perfectly healthy, completely whole." she says with a smile, returning her gaze to Rad.

Smiles grins at Explicit
Ahhh, I am glad that you are not hurt.
But just to make sure you are really okay, I'll prepare
you a cleansing tea. It should repare any internal bleeding, ripped tissue or
any physical health problems.
Smiles takes out some wood, herbs and berries.
She then begins to make a small fire. As the fire is starting to
grow she offers the flower on her back a berry.

"Why ask such a silly question, Rad? I'm still thirty-two!" she says, looking more puzzled by the minute. "You are so confusing right now."

(Which, as my sister pointed out, is a non-existent pony age. It would be the equivalent of human years in the old testament.

Smiles puts a few herbs close to the fire so they can dry, she then begins to crush
a few berries into a stone bowl. Then she sits there and watches the fire.
She couldn't help but think about the flower and the orbs. . . She thinks to her self,
I wonder. . . If there are anymore of these flowers out there. . .
It couldn't hurt to go scearch for a few. . . Right after the tea is
done for Ms.Escy I think I will go out and look. . .
Smiles smiles at the thought of finding more of these amazing
flowers

As Nameless trotted past Farsight... He felt a ripple, that same malicious energy he had felt before... He turned to look at the pony, really look at him.

((Roll check for... Ugh, I just had a brain fart... I guess it would be like searching, to see if there is anything different with Nameless.))

Somewhere close by, the group of ponies (that's you) can see a bright Flashing.

Not really being able to see anything different, even though he still couldn't shake that feeling. He yells to the pony, Nameless, something... Strange happened to Explicit. If you want to see, head to the surgery room. He continues to search for Incognito.

Smiles takes the dried herbs and berry juice and mix them with the boiled
water. She then goes to Explicit and offers her the bowl of tea.
Here you go Ms.Escy! But be careful, its a bit hot.

At the word Escritoire, Explicit put her hoof to her forehead, feeling a slight headache coming on, and then it vanished. "Oh, ow, that was weird."

(Unrelated, but Boys Don't Cry is the saddest movie ever ._.)

"I've heard." The stallion came up to Rad, adjacent to him. "What happened to her?"

Uhh...Escy? :\
For a second, she had a different name I think.

Oh my... Is it Explicit? How's she feeling? Jenzy asked Rad.

Smiles sets the tea next to Explicit, then with a smile she said
I think I will be calling it a night. . . Good Night Ms.Escy!

She walks out of the surgery room toward a empty room in the temple.
She takes out a tiny seed, plucks a hair from her head and ties it around the seed.
Taking out a small jar of powder she plants the seed and sprinkles the powder all over
the room. As soon as the powder hit the ground a fake Smiles grows from the ground. Smiles
orders the fake Smiles to go to sleep and not speak to any pony if possible. She then leaves the temple
and explores the darknes of the forest, forgetting the flower was still on her back.

As he wanders a bit further, he hears hoof steps. He follows where they came from, but couldn't see any pony. He heads back to the surgery room, coming to the conclusion that Cog would come if he would. Reaching, he's glad to see that Jenzy made it back. He walks up to where Explicit and the rest are, also relieved to see her awake.

I couldn't find Cog... But I think he can take care of himself.

Jenzy heard what Farsight had said and checked Explicit.
That's really weird. How is that even possible?

Escy holds her hoof to her head again, falling down this time. "Ugh, stop saying that Esriwhatsit word. It's all fancy, it hurts my head." she says as she slowly gets back up and brushes herself off. "And I've never had my cutie mark. H-have I?"

Strange things are happening... I don't know how these things happen... But I think we should discuss it at some other time... Sorry, Explicit. We'll stop using that word. Do you remember what we have been doing?

He asks, trying to change the topic.

He pokes Rad with his hoof and staring over at him, trying to keep him quiet.

Explicit smiles at Farsight. "Thank you, at least somebody isn't being mean to me today. And of course I remember what we'er doing. I remember everything from Ruby giving us a tiny quest, to finding the temple and losing Pr-" Escy stops talking and hangs her head, almost as if she was ashamed.

"I let him down, Rad."

Hey. You can't dwell on that. We may not have been able to save Willow, but we'll save Pride.

Smiles contiues walking through the forest, constiley looking around.
She doesn't understand why she is even out her looking for a plant, but something keeps
telling her to go find these flowers

Jenzy sat down. He looked a teeny bit exhausted.
Ah, what a day.

While the others concentrate on Explicit, Farsight's own neck bows slightly. He felt shame, shame and worthlessness. He had sorrow in his eyes, but he hid it away.

As Rad said, we WILL rescue him.

((Add in: I'll be driving all day tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting often till I get home.))

"O-of course. I can't let anything bad happen to him. I don't know what I'd do. He's the one I need to take care of Gael, and I love him so much." she says, fighting back a few tears. She turns to the Engineer's altar, and puts her hooves on it.

"Engineer." she says, trying to communicate with the system.

The engineer starts itself up again, those gemstone eyes opening on the wall once more. "Yes?" it asks, moreso its programming than any show of actual personality.

Explicit looks over the altar and then up at the gemstone eyes. "Activate secondary systems." she commands, and before her, the gemstone eyes turn to a soft, red glow from the previous blue one. She looks over the altar, as if she sees something that nopony else does. "Prepare device 137."

"As you request." The Engineer replies, its voice sounding much darker since the change. It quickly goes to work with its arms breaking free of the wall once more. Now instead of repairing, it's building. It quickly works on the shaft (Oh my. A cookie for the first person to get this reference.), a bar made of some sort of bone material. As the Engineer builds upwards, the shaft plumes out, soon becoming obvious that it's a feather quill.

Explicit smiles, picking up the quill when it's done. "That's all, Engi." she says, moving back over to Rad and opening her book. Something else seems to have changed since the cutie mark incident. The magical aura from Explicit uses her horn seems to have strengthened, as if her horn deficiency has vanished.

(The quill literally places her thoughts on paper, making it easier to use her glowstone abilities, since her mind isn't entirely ready for it yet. She's got a lot more battle potential now, being able to do pretty much anything under the sun with glowstone. I will keep this balanced, though. I'm pretty good at balancing.)

(Also, you guys might not have a steady DM in a few days. I'm either getting kicked out or stuck with a job I hate.

"Know what, Rad?" Escy asks with a smile. She looks back at the Engineer and then to Rad once more. "Oh, that. I read the altar."

I see. Well, what's our next move?

"Erm, let me check." Explicit says as she scribbles something into her book and the ink slowly changes shape to show a map. Explicit traces a line with her hoof to show Rad. "This is the Temple, where we are now. We have to go southeast along the dying path, and branch off at the fork." her hoof now follows the path leading northeast, stopping at the edge of the map. "And right here, just off the edge of the map, are the next two we have to deactivate. They're going to be different. I don't know how, I just felt it."

Different from a big golem and a Timberwolf?

"Different in how we'll feel about them." she says, her smile fading a little.

(My new schedule - I get to be on the computer for 5 minutes every hour, long enough to post in this thread. I get any time after I wash supper dishes free to do whatever I wish on the computer, and have to be asleep by 8. I have to wake up at 5:30. This might be better, because at least I'll be posting regularly again. See you guys in 55 minutes.)

Farsight sees her smile fade a little, and tilts his head. These might just end up being the harder fights... he thinks to himself, but says, I think we should rest for now... Move out when everypony is rested and ready. If you need me, I'll be in one of the rooms. Out loud. He turns and walks towards the entrance to the Engineer's room.

Smiles contiues to walk through the forest till she hits a dead end.
She looks around to see if any orbs or flowers are near by. Failing to
have seen any she stomps her hoof.

She then sits on ground, thinking what to do next.

Incognito remains at the temple entrance to keep watch.
He sits by a wall and looks like he is asleep.

The flower on Smiles' back perks up and hops off her, planting itself in the ground for a few seconds. It grows a little and then pops out. When it pops out, tiny little seeds are left in the ground. The plant places itself back on Smiles' back and seems to go back to the way it was before, though staying the same size.

Smiles looks at the seeds, then pats the flower with her hoof.
"Good job!
It will probably be a good idea if we stay here and allow them
to grow. . . Just incase these plants orbs are red and not blue. . . "
Smiles then takes out wood to start a small fire and a berry for
the flower.

Farsight entered one of the empty rooms. He didn't notice Rad following him, he was too wrapped up in dark thoughts. He moves to the middle of the room and sits, staring at his hooves.

Farsight snaps out of his thoughts. He turns around, standing. Unshed tears can barely be seen, and he blinks them away. Oh, Rad, it's you. Sorry, I was just... Thinking... Did you come to talk about what I asked you before Explicit woke?

We're...in a temple... in a decaying forest?

He thought a moment, wondering how to explain the situation to Rad. Do you remember how you got to Trottstram? I know why I came, to gather herbs for a friend, probably a pony you know. Physics, and it's the least I could do for him, as he helped me get my magic back. But, thinking about it, I don't remember how I actually got here.

((Staring to drive again, so I probably won't be posting for a few hours. Just a heads up.))

Well, I was just visiting with my niece, but...yeah I don't remember either.

incognito walks into Farsight's and Rad's room.

Explicit sits with the Engineer, talking to him. You'd be surprised how much you can learn about yourself when you talk to strangers. Especially when that stranger knows more about you than you do. "Could I input plans for a new construction item? I'm thinking of giving myself something to defend myself with." she asks the mechanical friend she has made.

"Of course. Simply discuss the details with me, and I will place the appropriate mechanics into place for its creation." he says to the pony before him.

(Smiles, the plant won't grow for a while. Wanna do some bonding with your plant? Also, I'm so drugged up right now [Prescription drugs, I promise!] and I'm probably about to pass out. Just so you know, in case I'm not back on in an hour.)

Smiles levitates the flower from her back, taking out a jar of dirt she places the flower
in it.
" There you go, this should be more comfortable than my back.
So, besides living what else can you do ? "

Much to Smiles' surprise, the little flower takes some of the dirt in its bottle and clumps it together, and then begins to juggle them.

Smiles giggles, then lays down on the ground next to the fire
" Wow, I'm impressed. I never seen a plant that could juggle.
But how are you in combat? I only have this dusty old spell book. . .
Even though these pages contain powerful spells and curses, I still
need something to help me out if I am ever in any real danger "
Smiles then takes out her spell book and flips through the pages.
After finding the spell she was looking for she cast a spell on a rock
that brought it to life. Looking toward the plant she said,
" Let's see what you can do.
Don't worry, I will cancle the spell if its too much for you "

The plant stays completely still aside from a single tentacle slipping out of the jar, wrapping around the rock and lifting it into the air.

Explicit gives the Engineer the information for her new weapon(s). The Engineer responds. "Are you certain these are the materials you wish to use?" it asks.

Explicit smiles. "It's what he would have wanted."

The rock grabs the tentacle and starts tighting its grip, trying to snap the tentacle
Smiles sits back, watching to seeing how this will turn out.
She also checks to see how the seeds are doing.

Ah, Cog, there you are. I was looking for you early... I guess you were out, since I didn't look there. He puts his chin in his hoof. Rad, I know you're a smart stallion, but I'll be blunt with you... We are in a dream, created by the Dreamer, our friend, Explicit. And I am a Dreamwalker... But my powers are more limited here than in a normal dream. That's why I said I feel worthless. I should be in my element, but I am not.

(Yay, Lesbian tentacle monster plant thingy!)

The flower sets itself over the rock, seeming to take the rock into the area where its feet are. You can see the plants tentacles are running over the rock. It's apparently planting itself. The rock, despite its natural strength, cannot pull the plant away, and slowly has its magical force drained away. The rock goes from being magically empowered to being a normal rock once again.

Smiles grins with delight
" What a talent. . . .
This could come in handy. . . . "
She then stands up and walks over toward a tree
" But . . . .
That spell could be cast by any weak minded unicorn "
She then cast a curse on the tree.
The moon turns red, the moon's ray form a spotlight around the tree. The
Tree glows with a red aurua as the tree began to uproot its self, with a smirtk she said
" Let's see if you can take on a tree that has The Red Moon Curse
cast on it. . . "
Smiles steps back, after realizing what she had done she prepares her
self with White Moon Forgiveness spell. . . Just incase this gets out of hand.

The plant watches the tree carefully, very concerned that it has been outmatched.

Explicit takes her two weapons from the altar, smiling as she swings them about, getting a feel for them. The first is for causing harm; a staff adorned with a large shard at the head, floating via magic, and a smaller shard embedded in the bottom. It is a staff with few additional functions, some being "come" and "vanish".

Her second weapon is a little more exotic, and is primarily intended as utility. Since she's a unicorn, and scaling to heights is a little difficult for her, she's crafting a clawshot, which will grab onto any material that can be pierced, allowing Explicit to pull herself up to that location.

Both these items made with the body parts of Willow.

Spell, ability, skill, they are one in the same to me. But let me rephrase: I know you have a skill that could keep other ponies out, but I'd like to cast my spell... He hesitates and bits his lip a little before continuing. Although it could be dangerous casting it here...

Eventually, he hears their conversations and a flash can be seen close by.

The tree glows with a red aurua, it stands there waiting for the plant to attack first.

The plant turns, and assuming it would have a face, Smiles would feel like it's looking at her. The plant also seems to be shaking. You can only assume it's scared. It slips a tentacle out, letting it slide around the trunk of the tree, all the way to the top. It begins to stick to the trunk, slowly draining magic out of the tree. It starts to let out a vapor that quickly  disentigrates into the air. It can easily be made out as magical dust.

And suddenly the little thing makes sense. It can drain magic, but not quickly. It can drain constantly, but not in large quantities without wasting the magic, so to speak.

((Ah... I was just told she wasn't with the group, so that never happened. X3))

Smiles notices the plant is a bit scared, she then walks over toward the plant.
While smiling she said,
You are doing great! I see you can drain the magic, even if the magic is dark. . .

The tree slowly starts to become a regular tree, the roots dig into the ground. After a while
it becomes a regular tree again.
Smiles picks up the flower and gives it a big smile,
I'm very proud of you!  . . .
Sorry if I wen't a bit too far. . . I just wanted to see if you could drain both good and bad magic. . .
Which you can! Once the seeds grow I'll take you back to the temple
and make you something special to eat!

The plant says "Quack."

Smiles grins at the plant, then places it on her back,
I think I should give you a name. . .
How about Yuri? Thats a nice name, right?
Smiles adds a few sticks and leafs to the fire to keep it going,
then she checks on the seeds to see if anything has grown yet

He notices the flash under the door frame. One moment. He tells the two ponies with him, and walks to the door and opens it with his magic, sticking his head out. He got a flash to his face... ((Stahp flashing!!!! Its turning me on.... Uuuhhh... I mean... Wha??!?!!!))

He closes his eyes and turns his head away. Gah! Why are you flashing that in here!? Are the torches not enough? No matter, get in here! He calls out to the gray pony, blinking his eyes to clear the after image. He slips back into the room.

*Rad left the two ponies alone, deep in thought about what he just heard*

He sees Rad leaving, and tries to call him back. He stops, knowing he by the look on Rad's face, he probably wouldn't hear his calls. He had been the same way multiple times. I guess I'll just talk to him more, later... He said to himself, once again ducking back into the room.

When Rad leaves the room, a streak of gray and white flashes by, Explicit being dragged along by the clawshot. Escy isn't used to heights, even being changed as she is. She lands on a small platform on the top of the temple, placed by the Engineer for practicing purposes. Explicit sees Rad below and she waves, unintentionally hitting the eject button on her clawshot. It digs into the ground near Rad and she comes flying down, crashing.

She gets up, shaking her head and brushing herself off. "It's, erm," she says, kicking at the ground beside Rad, "Not easy to control. Flying is so fun, though~"

What the-? What we're you doing?

Nameless, as most species would call him, entered one of the available rooms inside the scientific, yet ancient temple ((Room 3?)). He got to the corner of the square-like room, laying his saddlebags there. Taking out a piece of blue paper that looked like the paper used to plan a building to be constructed, he placed it on the ground. He went back to his bags to look around a salvage anything he could. Bits of metal struck the ground and echoed across the temple.   

Farsight heard the metal, his armor once again materializing on him, as well as his sword. He went to investigate the sound, not sure where it came from exactly.

Finding most of what was needed, the stallion slumped his resources onto the ground, creating a louder sound. He took out a small tool, seemly for wielding as it produced a heat hot enough to fuse metal together, and simply used it, following the instructions of the blue paper. The sound producing from the wielder was faint, but could be heard.

Farsight moved down the hall((From room 5, we'll say.)) toward the source of the noises, the second clanging helpin point him in the right direction. He slowly approached the room.

((Is the door open or closed?))

((Open, cause my pony always underestimates things. Welp, most of the time.))

Nameless continued his wielding, not noticing the visitor coming inside the room.

Farsight stood there, armored and armed. He continued to watch the nameless pony build his contraption. He still had that nagging feeling that something was not right with this one...

Explicit rubs her head with her hoof, then shows Rad the clawshot. "It's something I had Engi make for me. It's a claw shot, it's used to hook onto things and put you towards them. It's really fun, but really dangerous. I think I almost hit you earlier." she says, very apologetically.

"And what is this? Your method of power? Creation with things that have already been created. It's thievery, in an asortment of methods." says the dark voice that has been following Nameless for some time, since he absorbed the darkness from Willow.

Explicit smiles, putting the clawshot back on. "I'd ask if you want to use it, but you have wings~" she says as she waves with her free hoof and shoots off across the temple when the clawshot connects with a wooden target.

"I have a talent," The stallion said proudly, rasing his creation and jerking it from side to side, viewing it from different angles. It was a gun, not lethal. It was designed to protect, produce...

Yes, this was his talent, the thing he enjoyed. Yet, he still didn't have a Cutie Mark.

Yes, strange indeed.

The gun had a long barrel, so it must be a sniper, most likely. The gun also had a small cucbic magazine on the back, the ammo consisting of pure magic. There was also a scope, another indefication of a long range weapon.



"Thievery isn't thievery when it's...my creation." He raised the blue paper, and stuffed it inside his saddlebag. The weapon he created was much too large for the bags he carried to hold, so he decided to carry it along. His left saddlebag was halfway filled, using some of his resources into the gun. His right, just stayed the same.

The stallion walked out of the room, not known that Farsight had been here all this time.

((He's also blind, apparently...  X3))

Farsight follows him. Even an ally needed to be watched, especially with a weapon he had never seen before. Hopefully he could stop any attack with his sword... He magics in a shield as well, just in case.

((I'm following far enough back that you need to roll check with your perception(I remembered the word I was trying to say earlier!) to detect me. Although it wouldn't have to be that high, since I am wearing armor...))

Whoa! Nice... *watching her shoot off*

Explicit lands in the little alcove at the top of the temple, mostly hidden from sight because of some vines and the such, though Rad saw her land. She checks herself, trying to find her other weapon. She realizes that she dropped it near Rad. Her staff.

*Rad stepped forward to try and find her, then tripped over the staff* Oof!

((Nameless, Earth to Nameless, there's someone behind you...He's not listening))

The stallion turned around upon hearing the bits of metal armour clunk and clash with each other. Upon seeing Farsight with all the defence he summoned upon him, the stallion chuckled.

"What's with all the...things you got?"

((And I thought he was blind and deaf... Blast!))

Farsight stops, and places the shield in front of him. I heard your clanging... What's with the... Weapon you have?

((The shield is floating in front of him, so the charge wouldn't just enter him if it hit the shield.))

"My weapon? Well, what do you think it's for, then?"

He raised an eyebrow in disbelief. It looks like one...

Incognito sneaks around in the shadows of the temple.

"Well, then shoot a magic bolt at me, and we'll see about that. I promise that neither of us will be injured."

He smiles. Would if I could, but I don't know that kind of magic.

((He's never learned offensive spells. I guess he could use some dream magic... But I don't know if he has any spells like that...))

"Oh, then what do you know, then?" The stallion pondered on, curious.

I am a Dreamwalker, and know how to manipulate dreams and nightmares. This armor, it is a manifestation of the energy I pull from the Dreamworld.

"That's...uniquely amazing." The stallion expression was unchanged, yet his face seemed to be in a happier mood. "Anyways, we should meet up with the others."

Yes, we should. After you. He motions the nameless pony to lead on... That nagging feeling still wriggling at the back of his head.

"As you wish," and with that, he trotted onwards towards the rest of the ponies.

He followed behind, his armor evaporating away, as well as his weapons... But they were ready to return at his call.

When the ponies find her, Explicit is dangling from some vines, wriggling and trying to loosen herself. She bats with her hooves at the vines, not succeeding in releasing herself. "Erm... Help?" she asks with a smile, upside down.

Hold on! *he grabs the staff and flies up. He sticks the staff in between the vines to pry them away*

He shakes his head and chuckles, his horn glowing gray, ready to catch her if she falls. How did you manage that?

Explicit sticks her tongue out at Farsight. "My new toy, errrr, weapon." she says, blushing as she has to correct herself. She manages to loosen up with help from Rad's prodding with the staff (Oh, my.) and she falls to the ground, thankful that Farsight is there to catch her. She lands on her hooves and brushes her head with one. "That was fun!"

New, hmmm? May I see it? He asks the mare.

*Rad lands with the staff* You mean this?

Two new toys? He asks, using the wrong word on purpose. Where did you find these?

Explicit shows Farsight the clawshot, taking the staff from Rad as well. "I made them. Well, Engi made them, but I designed them. What do you think? One's for hitting stuff, and the other helps me... Well, get into situations like that, as of right now. I'm not very good with it yet." she says, tapping her hoof on the floor of the temple.

(So many "Oh My" moments recently, I might have to hire George Takei.)

Interesting... Very interesting. He glances over at Rad, the question "Do you believe me yet?" In his eyes. He looks over the staff, and closes his eyes. When he opens them again, they've changed from light-gray to light-blue.  I don't know if I'd just hit things with this...

((The staff has magic, no? Also, be back in a bit, driving home from classes.))

(Well, it has some minor functions built into it via Glowstone magic, which is basically sciencey stuff. I can command it to come to me, vanish, reappear, spin, etc. I don't have to use my magic to make it work. It might gain some things later, but none right now.. I don't want to overwhelm my character with usefulness. Then again, blunt weapons seem to be the way to go against glowstone mobs.)

Explicit tilts her head, about to ask about Farsight's eyes when she stops completely. After a moment of seemingly being frozen, she looks around, trying to find something. When she can't find it, she looks at each of the ponies in the room, finally landing on Nameless. She squints her eyes a little and then stops herself, using the clawshot to shoot herself straight up.

Farsight likely notices her interest in Nameless, the way she seemed to feel like something was wrong or off.

What the-? What's wrong Escy?! *calling out*

His eyes return to their normal hue, and he noticed that her eyes had stopped on Nameless... And the familiar nagging sense returned once more.

Hrmmmmm...

((The eye changing is an ability he has that let's him detect magic, it's how he travelled to different realities in the Dreamworld. It's also limited by his sight... He's nearsighted. Ironic, eh?))

He trots behind the others, shaking off the nagging feeling so that he is ready for the next fight.

"We'll be heading east of here. The others will catch up. Coggy is probably following us anyways." she says, heading out of the temple. When she reaches the forest floor, she taps her hoof on the ground three times. A few moments later, a distant roar can be heard to the east, just as she had thought. She turns to face the eastern trail through the forest, heading that way. She keeps her clawshot at easy access to avoid danger or detection if necessary. Even though it might do more harm than good at the rate she's been going at.

*Rad heard the howl* Is that him?

"Right there. Once we-..." Midway of replying to Seriack's question, the stallion stopped. Smoke seemed to be produced from within the grey coat he wore, and flew up into the winds above. His determination to stand upright soon fell, and he was nearly on the ground if it weren't for the remaining energy within him supporting his legs.

The temple...Willow...I-I have to control it. And fast. His thoughts bounced back and forth through his mind. The souls he had contained within him had been freed from the curse established by the temple. They wanted control of him...now.

This is why Willow couldn't control himself...But I need to try...harder...

Explicit uses the clawshot to reach a high up tree branch, around the same height as Rad, as practice for when she needs to do it in combat. She has her staff following behind her, via glowstone magic rather than unicorn magic. She lands on the branch and looks around, noticing that the trees seem to be less decayed in this direction than before. She looks ahead, seeing two large feline figures.

"Hey Coggy, you see what I'm seeing with your ears?" she says, in a playful way but not by any means in a negative way. She uses the clawshot to get closer, and she notices that the felines look much like panthers, only with black horns and uncovered black wings (Meaning they're bone.)

"Please tell me they're not real." she yells to him, not realizing the irony she'd just played herself with.

What are? *not seeing them yet*

Something bad... Knowing how real everything in here was.

Despite saying this he prepares himself for battle.

That timberwolf could not enter the temple proper, so I'm sure he'll be fine in there. He replied, giving Jenzy a comforting smile, while he magicked in his armor once more.

Jenzy smiled back. He took out his Flashlight. And he switched to using an Ice Flower, the Fire Flower swapping places with it in the saddlebag. His red scarf turns to a teal-ish, light blue color.

Explicit pulls her staff in front of her with her mind, then to her left side, using the clawshot to get back down to the ground. She plans on using it like a swinging club as she flies by on her clawshot. The velocity should cause quite a forceful smack. Escy has the staff twirl, being a little flashy. She seems to constantly move, despite getting into a defensive stance. She's excited.

"I don't know what they are. I've never seen them before. They kinda remind me of Pride, but less awesome." she says as she aims the clawshot at them.

You know... They might ignore us if we are lucky.

Stay on guard. They might not even want to fight.

Oh, they probably don't want to fight... But they probably won't mind dinner either...

I... really don't like to fight that much. But, just be prepared. :s said Jenzy.

He thought for a moment. He magicked in his mace this time. Let's try this again...

Explicit swings from branch to branch, finally landing on one near the panthers. She looks down and waves. "Hey, kitties! What are you looking for? Ya' hungry? Betcha can't get me!" she shouts, and it seems like this version of Explicit is a bit of a danger enthusiast. And an [insert derogative word here].

The horns on the panthers glow a very dark blue color, and then they lift off the ground, floating through the air towards Explicit. One lets out a screech at her.

"Oh, really?" Escy yells, immediately retreating back to the rest of the party, landing and nearly tripping and falling in the middle of them. "They can fly."

((I'd remove that d-word. I don't think it's allowed))

She has her staff readied, twirling away from her, hopefully acting as a distraction. The panthers glide through the air, carried on what looks like clouds that are made purely of their magic.

The panthers hop off of their magical clouds once they see that they don't need them anymore, and they rush towards the party. Their fangs and claws bared, their horns alit with dark magic and their wings tight against their bodies to help them with their charge.

Explicit pulls her staff up like a baseball bat, prepared to send it down to strike the panthers and at least throw them off.

Farsight stands defensively, ready to swing his mace when the panthers are in range.

*Rad rears back ready to buck anything that comes close*

(Rad needs something to beat people up with other than his rear legs. I mean, don't get me wrong, calf muscles are attractive and all, but so are really, REALLY big cannons. Not the anatomical kind, either.)

The panthers rush into the dying forest around us, and then burst back out in the center of the group. Explicit hesitates for a moment, but then strikes with her staff, not catching the panthers before their first attack. The first panther strikes at Rad, whilst the second heads for Farsight.

((Rad doesn't use weapons :P))

*Rad kicks at the panther*

((No comment on the cannons comment...))

He waits until the panther is almost on him, and attempts to jump out of the way.

((Roll check on evasion and if I succeed, I'll be swing my mace in a counterattack.))

(Sorry, took me a minute to figure out how I wanted Rad's 1 to materialize itself within the roleplay.)

The panther quickly realizes Rad's plans and swerves to avoid him, landing his rear legs in the dirt and using them to quickly turn his body for an unavoidable attack that strikes at Rad. Explicit shoots her clawshot at the ground, gripping her staff with her mind as she swings down, slamming the staff into the panthers FACE as she lands. The panther rolls over Rad now instead of clawing him, but it still does some damage due to weight.

Farsight succeeds his dodging counter attack and cripples the panthers left wing. The panther doesn't seem very happy about that.

(His face goes from like :l to >:l - Related but unimportant information)

*Rad had the wind knocked out of him* Ooff! >.<

((Poor Rad.))

He looks over the panther, seeing if it had any glow stones on its body.

As the panther rolls across the ground, the magical aura around its horn begins to flicker, revealing that their horns are made of red glowstone. No other stones on their body.

((So, who saw that, exactly? I don't want to post that I did when I didn't.))

*Rad stumbles to his hooves, able to breathe again*

Aim for the horn! He shouts out as he follows his own order, swinging his mace at the panthacorns horn.

((Yes, I used the term... Wondering why nopony else had yet. XD))

(Everybody saw it.)

Explicit pulls her staff to her side, dropping in front of Rad to protect him while he gets back up. Ahead of her, the panther recovers, the magical aura whole once more. It jumps at Explicit this time, preparing a quick attack.

The other panther turns and its magicaly aura moves to a single point at the tip of his horn. It begins to drip, the darkness in it being absorbed into the ground. In one base turn, the darkness will strike, but nobody knows where!

(Waffles.)

*Rad pushes Explicit out of the way swings for the horn*

He notices the magic dripping, and casts a spell on the party. Let dreams shield us! He yells.

((Absorbs damage based on roll. In other words, only as strong as the persons resolve is... Sorta.))

(Roll, get number, get effectiveness. Easy to figure out.)

Explicit shields herself from the attack with her hoof before Rad pops over and slams the panthacorn directly in its horn. It falls to the ground, black ooze pouring from its head wound, slowly turning back to a slight tint of red, and then quickly drying up. The panthacorn is dead.

Seeing the other panthacorn die, the remaining one lets out a roar. Its horn shines a bit and two black lazer lines appear, trailing across the ground and decaying anything they touch. The darkness from earlier shoots up out of the ground in the form of spikes, completely missing the party.

*Sees the black ooze turning red* What the-? o.O

Incognito manages to dodge the panters attacks, but for some reason he doesn't attack the whole time.

((T'was just explaining it...))

Farsight swings his mace at the other panthacorn once more, attempting to hit its horn.

(He was bleeding darkness, but the darkness turned to blood. Then his bloodflow dried up because it was being held together by the darkness.)

Explicit quickly dodges the lazers with her clawshot, getting far away from the panther in preparation for another attack. Unfortunately, she hits the branch instead of landing on it, and falls to the ground. She hits somewhat hard, and she's dazed. The panther takes advantage of that, and quickly shifts the lazers to land on her. Just before the lazers land, Farsight's mace makes contact and the panther falls to the ground, the same happening to him that happened with the other.

Escy remains on the ground.

(Oh, lookie here. Another one.)

Escy! *Rad rushes over to check on her*

Farsight watches to make sure it truly is dead, then moves to where Rad and Explicit are. Is she alright? He asks.

((My luck is changing?? I actually hit it this time!? :P))

You fools. Don't just stand there.
incognito runs over to them and Puts Explicit on his back.
I'll take her to safety. You two take care of those flying panters or whatever they are.

Explicit rubs her head as she sits up, shaking it after she's done rubbing it. Escy pulls her staff to her side and then stretches her legs out, accidentally sticking one of her rear hooves into the socket of the clawshot, which shoots out and drags her with it. Thankfully she recovers via adrenaline before she hits the tree. She gets up and stumbles a little.

"I don't think this thing is as safe as it needs to be" she says, kicking the clawshot.

Huh?
As explicit gets of his back he takes a moment to hear his environment.
The battle is over isn't it?

At least you are alright, nothing broken? He asked Explicit. Then turning to the sky, he said, I don't see any more, Cog. I believe we are safe... As can possibly be here.

"I don't think anything's broken. There isn't any pain." Explicit says as she looks down the path.

"I can hear them. They're calling me, and it's strange. It's like they know me by name. There's two of them, and then a presence." Escy says, shaking her head. "And I think they might be close by.

Two of them? I thought we were looking for Pride. Who else could it be? :\

Shadows and nightmares... He mumbles to himself.

Say what? *to Farsight*

(Might be a boss fight this afternoon)

Explicit continues moving without another word. Something deep inside her gut tells her that this next fight is going to be stressful. She stays silent for once as she moves further into the dark forest, coming to the fork as indicated on her map. The group takes a left here, heading to the area identified as the next glowstone monster's home.

Maybe you should slow up a bit Escy. You just got roughed up...

((It would rather be stupid if I go "Leeroy Jenkins" in this battle since it started without me being on and I'm there lol))

Nothing, lets just be ready for the rest of them... He tells Rad as he follows along.

Jenzy takes out the red box the flashlight was connected to and flicked a switch. He pressed the supposed strobe button a few times to check if it was off.


Right. So what happened? Jenzy asked as he put the box and flashlight back inside the saddlebag.

Explicit sits against a tree, waiting for the others to catch up. When you get closer, you can tell she's crying a bit.

*Rad catches up first* What's wrong? :s

Jenzy catches up from behind.
Explicit? :(

Shadows... And memories, dreams becoming nightmares... He mumbles to himself as they approach Explicit. He can feel her pain, his bond in the dream transmitting the feelings of those around him.

"I can feel them, Rad. It's like I know them, but I don't know who they are. They won't get out of my head, the feelings won't go away." she says, wiping the tears away. "We have to beat them. I want them to go away."

Explicit slowly regains her composure, getting up as the others near, and continuing down the path, this time making sure to stay close to Rad. She feels more calm near the pegasus for whatever reason.

(I'm gonna roll a d6 to see how many smaller fights we're going to have until the boss fight, and then I'm taking 1 away for the fight we just finished.

We'll beat them. Don't you worry.

Continues to mumble to himself, following Explicit and Rad. For every victory, a defeat... For every gain, a loss... Oh Luna, what are we doing here...?

Nameless sighed. Everyone, everything, seemed to disclose him or just purely ignore him at the most. Of course, he didn't care. He always had this treatment from the very start, so he shouldn't mind. Something else just felt...wrong.

He trotted up beside Farsight, his head slightly facing down on the irregular dirt path.

"Can...Can I talk to you...? Um...just for a minute?" He stuttered on.

He shook his head, shaking the dark thoughts away, but said, Sure.

((I swear, the auto correct on this thing... I think I'm also going to bed now. Got a class in the morning and I'm almost out of charge on this phone.))

"It's just that...your the best guy I know...which is saying something, I mean...we've only knew each other for a few minutes...but your the best...well, only friend I know..."

He paused, sighing. "...but it just, it feels like everyone is ignoring me...I mean, its usually alright with me, but something feels...strange about this."

He looked at the red coated stallion, his face somewhat distant. He seemed to be focusing on something else. "I'll leave your thoughts to yourself." He said, trying his best to be cheerful. He trotted away from Farsight, and went back to his position dragging along a large distance behind the group.

He watched as the strange stallion lagged behind the group. He feels like he is being ignored...? Hmmmm... He thinks to himself. He still couldn't shake that felling, it returned every time he looked at the nameless pony and thought about it. Maybe that's what was really troubling him...

Maybe there is something I could do for him... After we face our next challenge. He said, speaking to himself. As they continued to move along, the dark thoughts returned, but he tried not to dwell too much on them. Who knows what could be conjured up in THIS dream with thoughts such as those... Even if nothing could, better to not take the chances.

So he continued to follow Rad and Explicit, now thinking about Nameless, and how he could help him. His thoughts also turned to the others, the sorrow, pain, even love and happiness he felt through the bond. It was a crazy mix and jumble of emotions, but he was grateful for each, it showed they were alive, that they could still feel... At least that had not been lost yet in this dream become nightmare...

Two voices can be heard throughout forest, seemingly from nowhere.

"Oooh, what's this Veinix? Some flies, caught in our webs of death?"comes a shadowy male voice, seemingly from everywhere.

Another voice followed shortly after, this one female. "Of course, Artereyu, flies fall into our trap every day."

"Ah, but these flies have a spider amongst them." Came the voice of the one referred to as Artereyu.

A short hissing laughter, followed by the one called Veinix speaking. "Spiders are not friends with flies, brother."

"And yet the weaver of dreams guides the flies into the web." Artereyu speaks.

A final, short linen from Veinix. "But not into her own of self-convinced lies, but our web of decay."

Farsight swings his head around, looking for the source. Flies? More like hornets. He looked back once more at the nameless pony... Wondering, who might this slider be...? He shook his head and continued to follow Explicit, the Weaver of the Dream. Interesting word choice, it rang very close to the title Princess Luna gave him.

What was that? Jenzy looked around.

(The original roleplay was intended as freestyle roleplay, then I decided to refine it and turn it into a set storyline and make the roleplay private. So, to help me organize, I remade the thread.)

Explicit blinks and looks around, searching for the source of the voices. "They sound evil, almost parasitic. I have a bad taste on my tongue after hearing their voices." she looks around, but to no avail.

"I see a clearing ahead. I think the voices are coming from there." Explicit shouts to to the party, waiting for them to start that way before she goes herself. She's quickly growing uncomfortable with the feeling in her gut. Whatever is in that clearing, it feels like it's hurting her just by existing.

Then let's go shut them up! *he bolts past Escy and into the clearing*

He shakes his head, hoping Rad doesn't get himself hurt more, and follows in after him, his mace still floating close by.

The clearing is full of strange creatures. Two in the far distance, along the other edge of the forest. Two in front of them, and two more floating seemingly on nothing.

The two in the far distance were the most hideous of the group. Both were identical, aside from one being blue and the other being red. What looked like fleshy pipes, shaped like a cross with a beating heart dead in the center of them. Atop the cross shape was a decayed looking head. Those two seem to be the leaders, and their aura is almost enough to choke you.

The two in front of them, standing tall and proud, almost as if guarding the two before, are large leocorns. The one on the left is easily recognizable as Pride, aside from the black, soulless eyes. The other leocorn is an identical twin, except completely black.

The two orbs floating before the party are hard to make out at first, but when everybody realizes that they're foals, the wave of darkness over the group seems to intensify. The two foals before the group are Gaelic Karkadann and Rogue Spark, Explicit's daughter and Rad's son.

And so the nightmare truly begins... He says upon seeing what was in the clearing, his throat constricted by revulsion, and sorrow he felt for his friends. He could only imagine what this next challenge would entail.

Explicit steps forward hesitantly. She reaches out with a hoof. "Gael..?" and she immediately retracts herself as Gael and Spark open their eyes, filled with blackness, seemingly dripping and evaporating at the same time. Her heart fills with terror.

"Ah, the flies are here, dear sister." Artereyu says from the distance.

Veinix laughs aloud, a shrill sound erupting from her non-existent throat. "Just in time, dear brother, I was beginning to grow weary without a meal."

"Sister, you know we can't eat them." Artereyu responds plainly.

Veinix simply lets out a loud "Hmph!".

Explicit begins to step towards Gael again. Gael begins to float down to her as well. Explicit presses her hoof against Gael's head, and then cries. "I knew it. I didn't want to know it, but I did. Why would they do something so cruel. . ." Escy falls to the ground, continuing to cry. "She's empty. Pride is empty. They took my family..."

*Rad yells out* What did you do to my son, you sick freaks?! >:O

The sorrow cut through his bond like a knife and the anger like red hot fire. He had to close it to not lose himself, to burst into tears and yell at the being responsible. But the echo of those feelings still stayed with him, leaving feel empty inside. He snarled, What you two have done will not go unpunished! You will pay for your atrocities! He shouted.

"Atrocities?" Artereyu asks in astonishment.

Veinix quickly picks up after her brother. "Can't you see they're far more beautiful now than ever?"

"Besides, we didn't make them. We just control them." Artereyu says with a cocky laugh.

Explicit gets up and wipes the tears out of her face. She picks up her staff and rushes towards the two in the back. Pride and the other Leocorn move closer slightly, as if defending the two. However, their efforts were not needed, as Gael forces a black aura into Explicit that knocks her away. Clearly there's no getting to the others without somehow dealing with them first.

"Gael. . ." Escy says very low. For years she's taken care of Gael, her adopted daughter. She's fought against giants, corrupt creatures from whatever world that hosts them and she's even overcome her own fears. In the end, though, it seems the ones she holds the closest to her heart are the things she fears most...

"Gael, I'm sorry." she says simply as she throws down her staff and clawshot. "I know you'd want me to do this, for the better, but I can't bring myself to do it." her voice sinks even lower. "I'm too afraid."

I don't care what you're up to, you'll pay for doing this to my son! *he flies up and over the leocorns to get that the creatures*

A voice comes from somewhere.

"Manipulation of innocent citizens is unforgivable. It takes a lot to make me angry, but right now i am at my boiling point."

In the back, Farsight's horn had begun to glow, but not with it's usual light-gray color. It had turned golden, starting out dim, but slowly increasing in intensity. He knew why he had been drawn into this dream...

Rogue Sparks follows Rad's movement and then pulls dark, misty hands around him, but fails to grab him. The leocorns seem much more on guard now that somebody has managed to get past both them and the foals.

"How cute." Artereyu spins once, and a horrifying aura spills from the ends of its organic pipes, forcing Rad away.

Veinix watches as the pegasus is thrown back with the rest of the group, but lands unharmed. "Order, order, order, young pegasus. A time and place for everything. Pride, Glory, with us."

Pride and the other leocorn, apparently named Glory, follows after the two unknown creatures, who jet off into the air and fly overhead. Explicit turns to watch them fly overhead, and she rushes after them, finding herself stopped by a black barrier. She turns again to see Gael is holding the barrier in place, and Sparks is floating protectively in front of her.

Gah! Those ugly little... >:(

If anypony was paying attention to Farsight, they would notice the intensity of the light surrounding his horn had grown considerably. The ground around him also began to glow, small tendrils of the same golden light slowly spinning around him. His eyes were set on the two foals. He meant them no harm, but he could not look upon the living Nightmares they had become.

Something from below the ground attacks Artereyu. It looks like a giant, dark blue mole claw.
It shreds the earth apart as it rises.

"Insect." Artereyu says aloud as he sees the sudden mole claw looking thing burst from the ground. He emits his darkness again, extending the circle that the foals are protecting rather than knocking it back into the smaller circle.

Veinix turns to watch and makes a low, almost growling sound. "She's becoming strong. Those around her are becoming stronger because of it. We should end them now." she says, noticing the strange pony in armor that's causing the very essence of the area to tilt.

"You know we cannot. It would be displeased." Artereyu responds as he flies away with his sister.

Explicit keeps her eyes on Gael now, wondering how she can overcome the challenge set before her without harming Gael.

That can't be my son... this is all an illusion...

As the two puppeteers leave, Farsight's spell reaches its climax. He is now surrounded by blinding light, the very ground underneath him seeming to burn with the light. He began to rise off the ground.

Explicit turns to Rad and frowns a little, seeing that he's having trouble coming to terms with it as well. Or maybe he's doing better off than she is? She didn't know. She felt like she didn't know anything right now. Suddenly she senses a disturbance in the force disease of the aura. Something is happening to Farsight. She turns and stares wide-eyed, watching as the very air around him seems to be changing.

Explicit is knocked back as Zappy randomly pops out of nowhere, leaving a torn spot in her vest where her pocket once was. She had forgotten about the quill, and didn't realize the translocator would teleport ponies directly on top of it. That could have been bad.

Two of the beams head towards Artereyu and Veinix, but they hit the dark energy wall, causing it to flicker on and off. The two foals seem to flicker as well, having to use up most of their energy to hold the wall intact to protect the sibling monsters. The next two beams strike at Gael and Spark themselves, causing a direct impact. Gael cannot hold the barrier any longer and she releases it. She seems remarkably weakened, whereas Spark quickly moves to protect her.

A sharp screech emerges from Spark's mouth, so high pitched only the strongest of sense can decipher it. ["uoy lliw terger taht maerd reklaw"]

Spark Seems to be charging an attack, and several small balls of dark energy form and move to rotate around his head. Each pulses every so often.

I'm okay....I just....passed out....
Zappy starts slowly drooling. >.<

I-It's some kind of loud, scratchy language I can't understand! I-It's....It's coming from that! Zappy points to Spark.

Coming from... AH! How did I not notice that?! Jenzy jumped and shined his light at it. He disabled his strobe function earlier so he didn't flash Spark.

Jenzy investigated him...
Looks like Rad's son? Hmm, don't know if he even came with us. I never bothered asking...

Make him shut up! Please! DD:

Jenzy enables the strobulb function and flashes Spark. An attempt to stun him.
(I don't know if that's much use, but it was worth a try.)

As his spell expires, the light diminished, he falls gently to the ground, his energy exhausted. It looks like he's out for a while.

(Just to clarifiy, he only spoke that one line, so the loud screeching didn't last that long. Also, I think it's adorable how completely oblivious Jenzy always is. I don't know if it's intended, but if it is, you're the best at pulling it off. Ever.)

Explicit rushes over to Farsight to check on him, seeing that he's pretty much blacked out. Escy turns, everything starting to go into a blur. New creatures, fighting her loved ones, being kept from her pet, a constant evil tugging, mental duress, physical strain, everypony rushing around inside her head -

In her head.

Cease. . .

And just like that, everything goes completely still. Explicits eyes turn black, two tiny dots rotating around each other where her iris should be - one blue, one red. She point her hoof at the two foals.

Purify. . .

Not corrupted? False creatures?

Decist. . .

And so the fake foals fall to the ground, curling into physical balls to match their black circling aura, and slowly turning to mist, floating away. Explicits eyes go from black to red, small lines of blood dripping from her eyes, which slowly turn to tears as her physical and mental manifestations re-align themselves. Everything is so chaotic when her mind goes blank, when she steps into her deep zone.

And then she opens her eyes.

Greeted by the faces of her best friend Caramel Glaze and her daughter Gael hovering over her, huge smiles on their faces. They begin to cheer, calling for the doctor, but Explicit's eyes close before she can see much more. All she can hear now is her daughter's voice.

"Keep fighting, Mommy!"

When she opens her eyes once more, she's back in the world before, inside of her dream, though she doesn't know it. She stands, and as she does, everything unpauses. All is the same as before, only now the foals have been reduced to small black crystal orbs, the size of marbles.

How? How did those freaks get my son involved in this mess?!

Farsight has entered a Dream Trance, a safe haven to recuperate after expending his energy. His incorporeal body floats about Explicit's dream, unseen by the others, he is able to watch.

Explicit moves over to Rad and sits beside him, not really sure about what's happening anymore. She can only hope that this is some horrid dream she's going to wake up from. She can see a transparent Farsight floating around the area the circular barrier was once placed. She shrugs it off as being another nonsense thing in a world full of just that. She pats Rad's back.

"He wasn't real. The colt in your pictures is much older than a foal, and my Gael is, too. It's just a trick they pulled on us to make us stumble, and it worked. We need to stay focused, though. Pride is still out here, and they have him. Unlike what we just experienced, though, he's very real." Escy says, pressing herself against Rad, moreso from being tired than from a romantic attraction to him. Though, honestly, there are ample amounts of both right now.

His ethereal form watched on, moving over to his body... It was incredibly strange, seeing himself lying in the ground. He was glad that his spell had worked though, weakening the doppelgängers enough for the others to finish them off. He only hoped he would be recovered enough for the next fight. He began to walk toward the temple, not being able to move very far from his body. He waited for the others to start moving back to base.

Nameless chuckled. For him, laid a few more seed of darkness waiting to be sprouted and traverse into the greater future which laid within him. The black marble-shaped darkness slowly decomposed with the dirt as both materials began to sink underground. Before more harm can be done, he quickly snatched the two spheres, staring into the evil within. He was excited. This was his fate, the fate chosen by the gods themselves. He was destined to be who he was going to be. For him, he only wanted one thing...

...Revenge.

"Don't worry my friends, you won't be forgotten." He chimed on, before rolling the marbles into his saddlebag.

Noticing Farsight on the ground behind him, he gave a quick burst of speed to get to him. He tapped his hoof on Farsight's face, with no response.w

"Far...sight?"

His Dream form moved closer to his body. He saw Nameless poking his face and he smiled. Do not worry, I am fine. He said even if he could not be heard, but his expression changed. a familiar voice comes from below.
From the vibrations on a small spot, something seems to dig it's way to the surface.

Farsight's unconscious body still lies on the ground, but his breathing is like somepony in a deep sleep. His ethereal form is pacing, waiting for the others to return to the temple. While he paces, he listens to the conversations. He also glances over at Explicit and gives a nod.

Wait. That's...aren't you that creature who helped us? *looked around*

The "creature" reaches the surface.
"I prefer to be called Nova"
His mana forms big mole claws on his hoofs, which allow him to dig through the ground.
Hey there.
His hawk descends from the sky and lands on his back.

He looks at Nova, glad to see another friendly pony in this nightmare. He had stopped pacing due to the surprise, and starts up again.

Zappy gasps and a smile grows on his face.

Zappy flies over to Nova and hugs him tightly.

Nov hugs zappy back.
Good to see some familiar faces.

Just my ego after seeing my own son turned against me...in a way.

....what happened? Zappy asks, breaking the hug with Nova and looking shocked to hear the news.

Upon hearing the question, he looks to his body. Not hurt... Just incredibly tired. He says, and chuckles, even if no one could hear him.

How have you been Nova? It's been a while...

It was not that long if you ask me, but it's good to see that everypony here is safe and sound for now.

I know it's a bad time but Nova when we get the change I wanna show you the new stuff I've learned!

When we have time for it i'll gladly watch. Although i think you should use it in the actual situation insted.
Since nopony gave me a explanation of what happens here, i guess that this is a good time to retreat. If you have a base let's move there for now.

Explicit watches as Farsight floats around his body, which Nameless is attempting to pick up. She gives the un named pony a strange look before continuing. Somehow, he seems to be connected to all of this in ways neither of them can possibly understand right now. She shakes the last bit of tiredness off. It seems to be less fatiguing to go into her dreamer mode now.

Escy heads off towards the temple. "Whoever you are, I'll explain everything as best I can when we get back to the temple. Rad, Zappy, Jenzy, -" Explicit cuts herself off, glancing over to Nameless. "and Nameless, follow me back. We're almost half way through this."

Explicit has her staff follow and she equips her clawshot, using it to reach high up into a tree. She looks at Rad down below and beckons him up to her, watching as the party prepares and begins to follow below.

He follows along. He couldn't get too far from his body here, for some reason. It must have something to do with this being a Dreamer's dream...

Alright Explicit... Jenzy says, following her.

Jenzy gets the Wing from his saddlebag and switches from having Ice Powers to a Pegasus and flies up.

Hang on. Jenzy told Zappy.

Zappy nods and hangs on tight to Jenzy.

Explicit sits on the branch and pats the branch in front of her. "I think you're important. Or, like, if you're not important, I think I'm making you important. Does that make sense?" Escy asks, knowing she makes no sense at all because she doesn't even understand herself right now. Escy motions to the next tree over before clawshotting her way over, sitting on the branch of that tree, nearly falling off as she lands.

Farsight follows their progress while following his body along on the ground. He couldn't open the bond he had forged between the others now, not actually being conscious and all. He looks around the forest, deciding to watch for any other dangers that may be hidden there.

Jenzy keeps up with the rest of the group at a fast, steady pace, making sure he doesn't fly too fast that Zappy might fall...

Carrying Farsight's body along was tiring, but he didn't mind too much. There were only two strong earth ponies here, and since Zappy was riding Jenzy...

Escy smiles at Rad, and then takes a second to give him a hug. She pulls away and points her clawshot, trying to look cool. She continues to smile at Rad as the claw shoots out and attaches to a tree, pulling her away. Unfortunately, her splendor attempt fails and she ends up getting stuck in the vines hanging from the tree, sighing and blushing with embarasment as somepony comes to help her out.

(You know, assuming you guys aren't just going to leave me there. ._.)

Explicit leads the group back to the temple to find that resting on the steps are Pride and Glory, both still very much darkened. Pride rises first, his eyes steady on Explicit. Glory simply watches, as if observing.

((Ack... And I needed the temple to wake again... Welp, good luck guies!

Oh boy. This is the last thing we need. :I

"Calm yourselves. We cannot harm you here." says the black lion, who stands now, moving over to the group. Pride sits, staring intently at Escy. "My name is Glory. I am Pride's mind and will."

Explicit reaches out to touch Pride, who then roars at her, forcing her to back away.

"The darkness separated us. Pride and I were one, and then we were severed. I am his mind, and all that I command, he will do." Glory says, sitting beside Pride. "But there is something tugging at him. His dedication to you is fascinating. My own mind has been taken by him, yet the body still resists to some degree. I have to bring him to see you, or he will be difficult to control.

"So you're using me to give you full control over Pride? That's horrifying!" Explicit yells to the black lion, fury growing in her eyes.

Pride grins a bit at Glory's command, and Glory finishes their visit with a few final words. "And now he has been sated. Farewell, Explicit." The two of them head back off into the forest.

"Pride!" Explicit shouts to Pride, moving forward a few steps. Pride stops, and starts to turn his head to look back, but then moves forward, following Glory.

*Rad was speechless. Unable to say anything to try and comfort Explicit*

"And soon, we'll be fighting ourselves." He jerked.

Oh, no no nono...
Jenzy caught up with the group. It seems Escy is in a bit of a pickle.

Why does everypony look so shocked? Zappy asks, peeking over Jenzy's shoulder.

Zappy, that was Escy's pet, Pride.

Pride was here? I didn't see him, where did he go?

As Nameless jerked, Farsight's body falls to the ground. His dream form winced from the impact. That's going to leave a bruise...

So what do we do now? Follow him?

It'd lead us to something...

Explicit watches in the direction the two leocorns ran off in, and she shakes her head. "We need to get Farsight inside. He's unconscious. And I need to rest a little while, with Rad." she says, heading up the steps of the temple. "I know where he is, I can feel him. He's just waiting for us."

((Only problem... I would then be stuck in an unconscious body... As it has almost no energy, only enough to keep the body alive... It's what happens when I unleash the Avatar State one of my most powerful spells...

Jenzy flew to Farsight and began to carry him...

AH! Th-this might take a while... Ungh...
Jenzy began to flap faster, in order to get up and going...

Right. Let's get Farsight better. *he helps Jenzy lift the unconscious pony*

As his body was carried even more quickly away, he was dragged towards it. He hit a few things on the way, odd, as he usually passed through things in this state, not being solid and all... Must be something with this being a dream...

Explicit sits against the wall just on the inside of the temple, watching Rad as he moves about with Farsight's body. She waits for him to come over to her, honestly just needing a cuddle. The whole thing is starting to become seriously hard for her to deal with. She notices Farsight's spirit watching her for a moment

(Ghost Farsight is watching you everything?)

Nova walks in the temple and takes a look around.

*Rad lets Jenzy take Farsight* Get him to the Engie. *he heads over to Escy and sits with her, waiting for her to speak first*

Zappy flies off Jenzy's back and enters the temple behind Nova.
I've never seen anything like this...

((Always watching... Always waiting....))

He ponders the whole situation for a minute, as he had a respite, having caught up to Rad and Jenzy. He couldn't feel the emotions of his friends at this time, since he couldn't open the bond while his body was unconscious, but he could still tell that they were shaken... And why wouldn't they be. Much had happened, much more would... His body started to move away again and he was dragged from the spot he was sitting at. He hoped they'd take him to the altar, since that was the only place he could receive enough energy to be awoken once more.

((Shall anything happen to Farsight as he recovers? Or just he recovers and is ready to go?))

Jenzy was able to carry Farsight with his front hooves easier now that his back is free. He flies to the room where Farsight should rest.

Nova goes to the middle of a empty room and makes a fire there. It is a single but strong flame, fueled by magic, that simply hovers just above the ground.
He levitates a pot on the flame ans starts boiling some water. It looks like he will cook something.

((Yup, the time were we lick our wounds and prepare for the next challenge ahead!))

Zappy trots over to Nova and sits by the fire.

Jenzy returns to the group.
Farsight should be alright. He needs his rest.

He flapped his wings a few times and stretched, then finally sat down and closed them.

Most of the ingredients seem to have been prepared before. He simply adds some small cubes into the water and some sliced vegetables into the pot.

He then notices zappy, sitting by the fire.
Is something on your mind or do you just want to warm yourself?

I just wanted to warm up. What are you making?

What'cha fixin' up? Jenzy asked Nova and scooted close to Zappy.

A simple potato and mushroom soup. That should help the others to regain some strength.

After a while the soup is done. The smell of the soup is spreading in the temple.

Nova grabs some bowls and spoons out of his saddlebag and places them beside the pot.

Jenzy gets up and grabs himself a bowl and spoon.

He also gives Zappy a bowl of his own.

Zappy takes it and smiles.
It's fine, I don't feel strong heat through my hooves.

"I just need to rest for a little while. I kinda want to be with somebody, though. You're okay with that, right Rad?" Explicit asks, resting her head on Rad, almost forgetting she'd asked him a question at all.

(Somebody should explain what's happened so far to Nova. It can be hurried through since he actually does know everything that's happened so far. I choose Farsight, but he's kinda unable. And Jenzy and Zappy are iffy on details. Welp, guess he'll have to wait til Escy is done resting/flirting.)

(Also, I'm going to drop the next three chapter names, to give you guys a bit to think about as far as what's coming. Ch. 4 - Loose Ends, Ch. 5. - Dream Within a Dream, Ch. 6 - Wakening, Ch. 7 - A Dream Unending.

Farsight looks at his body sitting on the table/altar in the Engineer's chamber. He can't currently interact with the machine... So he just sits and waits. And thinks...

Explicit watches as Rad goes to get some noms, and smiles a little. A nice little meal, some light company with a pony she likes and a quick rest for her and Farsight and everything would be okay again. Or at least, as okay as it can be right now. "I don't want much, Rad. Thank you."

Good or bad. We're just taking a break right now. So we should just enjoy that for now...
