Unexpected encounter for Angel's Breath and Dark Hooves.

Angel's Breath wakes up to the bitter cold of a winter morning.
Angel's Breath: (Thinking.) I should try to start a fire.
Angel's Breath carefully gets out of bed so to not disturb Dark Hooves and heads towards the fireplace in the living room.
Angel's Breath: (Thinking while doing these.) Alright Dark Hooves said get 4 logs and place them in the fireplace, then get a small amount of kindling and place that into the pile of logs, and then grab the 2 pieces of flint and quickly rub them against each other over the kindling so the sparks from the flint ignite the kindling and start the fire.
Angel's Breath: (Striking the flint together.) Come on spark, spark, spark! (Frustrated.) It's no use I can't get it to spark. (She places the flint back where she found them and returns to the bedroom.)
Dark Hooves: (Snoring.)
Angel's Breath: (Gently shaking him.) Dark Hooves please wake up I'm cold and I couldn't get a fire started.
Dark Hooves wakes up to Angel's Breath shivering in the cold morning air.
Angel's Breath: Could you get.... (Dark Hooves gently places his hoof on her mouth.)
Dark Hooves: (Getting out of the bed.) I heard you Angel and I'm sorry you couldn't get the fire started. I should have shown you how instead of just telling you how.
Angel's Breath: (Nestling up to Dark Hooves.) That's alright Dark Hooves.
Angel's Breath and Dark Hooves head down to the living room and approach the fireplace.
Dark Hooves: (Striking the flint together.) I see you did exactly I said.
A small fire ignites in the fireplace and starts filling the house with warmth.
Angel's Breath: (Warming herself by the fire.) Thanks. By the way don't you have elemental magic?
Dark Hooves: Yes I do but I decided to show you how to start a fire by using the flint here.
Angel's Breath: Thanks, hopefully next time I won't have to wake you up.
Dark Hooves: (Nestles up to Angel's Breath.) I don't mind sugar plum.
Angel's Breath: I know it's just I want to be more self-sufficient. By the way you could just use your magic.
Dark Hooves: Yeah I could have but that isn't what my magic is for.
Angel's Breath: I know Dark Hooves your magic is for self-defense not to make our lives easier.
Dark Hooves: Well I do use my magic to help other ponies.
Angel's Breath: I know you do and I'm sure they appreciate that. By the way what elements do you know?
Dark Hooves: I know all four elements which they are: fire, ice, water, and lightning. Also there are three levels for each element.
Angel's Breath: Interesting, can you cast those spells right now?
Dark Hooves: Well I can, but only if the situation calls for it.
Angel's Breath: (Sadly.) I see. (Lowers her head.)
Dark Hooves: I'm sorry sugar plum I just don't like showing off. (Lifting her head.)
Angel's Breath: That's alright my warrior of love it's good to be modest which is why I love you. Well that and we have a lot in common.
Dark Hooves: I know Angel we both like flowers, reading, and we both dislike boasting.
Angel's Breath: (Stomach growling.) I'm hungry.
Dark Hooves: What do you want to eat sugar plum?
Angel's Breath: I would like some apple cinnamon oatmeal please.
Dark Hooves: Alright I'll make some for both of us.
After a few minutes Dark Hooves returns to the living room with two steaming bowls of apple cinnamon oatmeal.
Dark Hooves: (Handing her a bowl.) Be careful Angel it's hot.
Angel's Breath: Alright Dark Hooves. (Gently blows on the oatmeal and takes a bite.) Mmmm delicious I'm so glad you know how to cook.
Dark Hooves (Modestly.) The credit for that goes to my parents.
Angel's Breath: Do you think we could go visit your parents sometime?
Dark Hooves: Of course sugar plum. They live next door to Sugar Cube Corner.
Angel's Breath: It's just the last time I visited your parents was six years ago. Besides I had a really good time there the last time I visited your parents.
Dark Hooves: I know Angel it's just they are quite busy with work and keeping the house clean. My dad works at the weather factory and my mom stays home and keeps the house clean. Although when I was living with them I did everything I could to help them.
Angel's Breath: I know Dark Hooves, but I think you should surprise them by visiting their house unexpectedly.
Dark Hooves: I guess we can do that sometime next week.
Angel's Breath: That's fine Dark Hooves.
Angel's Breath and Dark Hooves finish with their oatmeal and place the bowls into the sink and fill them with water.
Angel's Breath: I would like to go walk around town for a little while.
Dark Hooves: Alright sugar plum I'll go with you, but we should dress warmly it's still a bit chilly outside.
Angel's Breath: Oh ok Dark Hooves. (Walks up the stairs and into the bedroom.)
After a few minutes she walks back down the stairs wearing a pink sweater, pink sweatpants, and her lavender cozy shoes to keep her hooves warm.
Dark Hooves heads to the bedroom to put on some warm clothes and comes back down the stairs grabs the keys to the house and his saddle bag he uses for bringing money and bottles of water.
Angel's Breath: Do you mind if I carry the saddle bag Dark Hooves?
Dark Hooves: (Opening the safe which contains their money.) Are you sure it is quite heavy with the water bottles I put in it.
Angel's Breath: That's alright I can carry it for a while.
Dark Hooves: Ok sugar plum, but if it starts feeling too heavy let me know and I'll carry it for a while. (Hands her the saddle bag.)
Angel's Breath: (Kisses Dark Hooves on the cheek.) Alright Dark Hooves. Umm why are you bringing your sword?
Dark Hooves: Just in case we encounter something not friendly.

Silent Shadow was walking down the streets of Ponyville and he seems happy.
The dark furred pegasus brings in the side a dagger and his the mane flutters gently in the wind.

Angel's Breath and Dark Hooves start walking down the street when they see a dark furred pegasus walking down the same street.

Angel's Breath: Look there honey.

Dark Hooves: I see him. (Staring at him and sensing his mana.)

Angel's Breath: Is he alright.

Dark Hooves: I don't sense any darkness in his mana.

Angel's Breath: I'm going to go say hi to him. (Starts walking up to the dark furred pegasus.)

The Pegasus with black fur noticed the mare who was approaching him, he waved his hoof and smiled to her

While Angel's Breath is talking to the dark furred pegasus Dark Hooves senses another pegasus's mana and notices his intention to throw the spear at him he draws his sword which has a blue blade that shimmers in the sunlight and deflects the spear with it.

Dark Hooves: Now where did you go?

Dark Hooves: (Puts his sword back into his scabbard.) Don't worry about it no harm done. (Angel's Breath nestles up to Dark Hooves.)

Angel's Breath: Are you alright Darky?

Dark Hooves: I'm just fine Angel. By the way I would to introduce you all to my fiance Angel's Breath.

Silent Shadow: Oh yes, where are my manners (bows) I'm Silent Shadow, honored to make your acquaintance.

Angel's Breath: (Holding back Dark Hooves.) Now don't let him bother you your name is beautiful and it doesn't matter what anypony else thinks of your name.

yes dark hooves is good name only say that you have dark colored hooves. but silent shadow isnt a good name your enemy can obtain a lot information only with your name

Silent Shadow: Well for your information, before my enemies know of my presence, they have already been defeated. Plus I think it's quite rude criticize the names of others.

Dark Hooves: I agree with you on that Silent Shadow.

Angel's Breath: Yes it is wrong to judge everypony just by their name and it makes the pony that does look foolish.

Dark Hooves: Mine is the sword which the one I have I forged out of rare crystals which makes the blade both stronger and lighter than traditional steel swords. (Humbly) Although I am still learning the way of the sword.

Silent Shadow: Mine is a dagger, but I can turn it into a katana if I want.

Dark Hooves: (Levitates the scabbard containing his sword off of his back and lays it by Silent Shadow's Hooves.) You're welcome to try it out.

Silent Shadow: (takes the sword in the hooves and do some slash in the air) I must say that you did a very good job, you must be proud of yourself (returns the sword) You can try my dagger if you want, or the katana if you prefer.

Two nightmares walks at Ponyville. "Oh, come on! You have to get known with other ponies than me." The bigger one with white coat and horn said to the smaller one with black coat and wings. "Looks like there's some ponies. This is your chance to get new friends." "Fine..." The smaller one said and they started to walk towards Bleyd, D D, Dark Hooves, Silent Shadow and Angel's Breath.

A blue unicorn was slowly walking around with two saddlebags. A small gust made her grey mane seem to float.

The white unicorn took of his barrier that he made just before the explosion. "Okay... I think they don't want to see us." He said and looked at the black pegasus which was growling at Bleyd next to the white unicorn. "Oh Laebenal. Calm down. We can leave if we aren't wanted here, no need to fight." The white unicorn said at Laebenal. *sigh* "As you say." Laebenal said and stopped growling.

D D walks to nigthmares but he is blind and go in another direction,

The white unicorn looks at D D and says: "I understand, he's just a little over protective. Anyway hello, I'm Pale Flare and this is Laebenal." Laebenal stays back and keeps her eyes on Bleyd.

Silent Shadow: Even if you want his security, this should not lead to attack anyone who approaches you.
The dark furred pegasus Shadow approached the two ponies
Silent Shadow: I'm sorry for what happend. Are you ok?

Aqua kept walking along her eyes open. She approached the group of ponies, using her 'special vision'.

bleyd put his tourquise dragon eyes in nightmare eyes. and use his claws to do a sing ripping his throat.

"Hahah. Yes we're okay. It takes more than just one pegasus to surprise me." Pale Flare said.

Silent Shadow: I'm glad. However, it's been a while since I saw I nightmare pony, are you new here?

The unicorn just passed right by the group of ponies.

"I've lived here for a year and she two years, mostly hiding in her cave." Pale Flare said. "Wait, you said that you have seen nightmares earlier? Where? Please tell me. I've trying to find back to my herd for two years. Yes, I ended searching when I found Laebenal, but it would be great if we could get back to our home." He said a little surprised.

Silent Shadow: I saw one near the gates of tartarus, but wasn't very friendly (thinking aloud) I think I read that they live on an island far away from here...

"You sure it was nightmare? If that island thing is true, none of them would get past the sea alive." Pale Flare said a little confused.

Silent Shadow: Now that you mention it was a bit strange for a nightmare. You think it could be possible that someone had summoned it?

"I don't think that's possible, unless the nightmare isn't real or then there is another, never heard before, herd in Tartarus." Pale Flare said and looked at Laebenal. "Stop that staring and come over here." He said to her. Laebenal walks next to Pale Flare and sits down looking around.

Silent Shadow: Oh, and who's your cute friend over there?

"I think Laebenal knows better. She was later and longer at the herd than I." Pale Flare said and took a look at Laebenal which was just looking around and not focusing in their conversation. (I hope I got the right word) "But as usual, she isn't saying anything..." *sigh*

"Oh, I thought I introduced ourselves. Well, she's Laebenal. The first and so far the only nightmare with wings." Pale Flare said to Silent.

Silent Shadow: Pleased to make your acquaintance, I'm Silent Shadow and if I can be of any help do not hesitate to ask (he said, smiling)

Laebenal says nothing and started to stare Silent with her blank eyes. "Do you really always have to try scare everypony off? You could atleast try to speak with them." Pale Flare said to Laebenal.

Silent Shadow: Don't worry, if she doesn't want to, she doesn't have to do so.

"That's a problem... After she got banished from the herd she haven't spoken to anypony else than me." Pale Flare said. "And looks like she's not going to change it now. Well, maybe some other day. See you all again sometime!" Pale Flare said and started to walk away. Laebenal stood up and started to follow him.

He waved his hoof.
Silent Shadow: ok, see you two around.

((This looks fun!))

As the ponies are talking, a spot a few yards off from them begins to shimmer. As it slowly becomes a gateway, the sound of fighting can be heard.

Come on, you've almost got me!!! A taunt is heard as the gateway tears open.

Silent Shadow hears the battle in the distance and approaches the origin of the noise.

((Sorry, had math to do  ovO))

As Silent Shadow moves closer, Farsight bursts out of the gateway, a quarter staff floating in front if him. A changeling tries to pull him back in, but he knocks it away with the staff, closing the gate before anymore burst through.

Thats the last time I head to that reality, He says to himself, not noticing the stallion nearby. The quarter staff vanishes and is replaced by a quill and notebook, in which he begins to scribble some notes.

Silent Shadow remains stunned by the scene just seen, shakes his head and approaches the mysterious pony.
Silent Shadow: Uhm, hello, can I ask you what was that?

Farsight jumps at the sound of Silent Shadow's voice, the quill and notebook disappearing. They are replaced by a sword and shield floating in the air.

Stay back! He shouts, still jumpy after fighting off a world of Changelings.

Silent Shadow pulls out his dagger and warns.

Silent Shadow: Hey, calm down! I'm not here to hurt you!

Farsight reacts quickly to a perceived threat, and Silent Shadow is engulfed in a gray aura, the same that surrounds Farsight's horn.

We shall see... Farsight says, stepping closer to peer into SS's eyes, as if he is looking into his very soul.

((I'm looking at your dreams, in your subconscious, to find if you are really friendly.))

Farsight could see what he had done in the past,his past alone in the forest to fight to survive, the pony who helped and his kind behavior with strangers.
But he is also able to see a pony that was different from Silent Shadow, but at the same time looked like him, he was destroying a village in anger with a katana in his hoof.

((it's Id, he's Shadow personality split and he's not aware of his existence.

Farsight released SS from his grip. The sword and shield had vanished.

You carry a heavy burden... But I see the kinder side of you. Yes, I see now that you mean no harm.

Silent Shadow puts away the dagger.

Silent Shadow: I am glad that you have understood. The name's Silent Shadow, nice to meet you.

Farsight bows deeply.

I am called Farsight, and the pleasure is all mine. May your dreams shine even in the darkest of hours.

He looks around, and asks, Now where have I gotten myself to?

Silent Shadow: You're in ponyville, in the world of Equestria. I guess you're not from around here, are you?

Yes, to an extent... I do have all this in my home reality. He replies without expounding too much.

((Math class, can't post for a bit.))

Silent Shadow gets a quizzical expression.

Silent Shadow: So you're from a different reality, what kind of world do you come from?

Ahh, so I am near Ponyville... I just didn't recognize this place. Changelings make it rather hard to concentrate... He chuckles, and goes on to explain, I come from a land pretty much the same as here, but there are quite a few exceptions.

He points to SS's dagger, Weapons being the main difference.

SS looks at his dagger and thinks for a moment.

Silent Shadow: You mean where you come from, there are no weapons or are there different kinds of weapons than this reality?

Farsight ponders for a time before responding.

We do not have weapons that are specifically made to kill. I have only picked up the blades I have in my journeys. It is rather peaceful where I lived... He heaves a sigh. And sometimes I wish I could return.

Silent Shadow looks away for a moment to think, then look Farsight in the eyes.

SS: And why do not you go back? there is something that prevents you from going back?

After silently watching the events occuring in front of them Dark Hooves senses several sources of mana heading for the group of ponies.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking and looking toward the Everfree Forest.) What is this mana I'm sensing?

Angel's Breath: (Noticing Dark Hooves looking into the distance.) Darky what's wrong?

Dark Hooves: I don't know, but something is heading for us and there is a lot of them. One thing is for sure they aren't friendly.

Angel's Breath: I'm scared.

Dark Hooves: Don't worry I'm not going anywhere. (Yelling to get the other ponies attention.) We've got company and they aren't friendly.

Silent Shadow hears the voice of Dark Hooves in the distance.

SS: Forgive me Farsight, but apparently there are some problems in the course, we can continue this conversation at another time.

Silent Shadow heads toward Dark Hooves, worried.

SS: Dark Hooves, what's the metter?

Farsight was hesitant to answer SS's question and was slightly relieved when Dark Hooves shouted about the impending attack. Once again, his sword and shield appear, his light-gray aura of magic surrounding them. As the weapons appear, his armor also materializes on his body. He trots towards them as well, his armor clinking and clanking as he approaches.

Dark Hooves: (Talking to SS.) I am sensing several sources of mana headed our way. I don't know what they are. They're definitely not friendly though. (Unsheathes his sword from the scabbard.) We should prepare for battle.

Angel's Breath: (Shaking very nervously.) Darky did you say battle?

Dark Hooves: Sorry sweetie I'm afraid so you should head back home.

Angel's Breath: Alright I'll wait for you there please be careful.

Angel's Breath kisses Dark Hooves on the cheek and runs home, but their house is locked and Dark Hooves has the key.

SS: (Pulls out the knife and turns it into the katana form) I'm ready. Are you sure that your marefriend will be fine?

Farsight stands ready, his sword slowly moving through different combat forms.

Dark Hooves: I can sense her mana she's just outside our house...pounding on the door. Oh bugger I forgot to give her the key.

The mana sources emerge from the forest and charge at the group of ponies.

Dark Hooves: Timberwolves! 10 of them.

SS: I'm not afraid of them, I will protect this place as long I have breath in my body.

Pitiful creatures!Farsight yells as he charges forward. His body becomes incorporeal, and runs through them. When his body regains cohesion, he is all ready to flank.

Silent Shadow's eyes glows and he lifts off, charging against the enemy.

Dark Hooves manages to slice a leg off of one but it regenerates.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking.) How am I supposed to deal with that?

Dark Hooves remember something Zecora had taught him.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking.) Right they're vulnerable to fire magic. (Talking.) Alright I've got this. (One of the timberwolves charges at him.) Take this Nigred Pyraga.

His horn glows with his daytime aura color and the timberwolf is reduced to a pile of ash by a large fireball.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking.) That may have destroyed it's body but the magic that created it can't be destroyed. (Talking.) They are weak to fire magic so if any of you have fire magic use it.

SS: How am I supposed to use magic fire? I'm not a unicorn!

Silent Shadow thought for a moment and then turns to Dark Hooves.

SS: Dark Hooves, can you infuse my sword with fire power?

As three timberwolves surround Farsight, he yells back, Fire, you say? Then let us see how the deal with that which they fear! As he finishes his sentence, the three timberwolves are lifted into the air, Farsight's magic aura surrounding them. A gateway splits open beneath them, flames licking the edges, and he releases them. As they fall to their doom, Farsight turns to meet the next challenge. He is starting to look tired.

Dark Hooves: I don't know but i'll try. (He focuses his mana and then SS's sword start glowing with a reddish aura.) I think I got it.

While all of this is happening one of the timberwolves manages to sneak off undetected and starts heading toward where Angel's Breath is at.

plasma shot out of the air hitting a timberwolf. the blue light eat wood. that is undetected  

SS: It's perfect thank you!

Three timberwolves are charging towards him.

SS: Ok, let's try (focusing his aura) Haze of Fire!

Fast hits are unleashed on the timberwolves, reducing them to dust.

Farsight looks to the two remaining timberwolves and attempts to keep them pinned with a flurry of attacks from his sword.

Dark Hooves runs over to help Farsight who has 2 of the timberwolves pinned down.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. (Another is reduced to ashes.)

Dark Hooves enchants Farsight's sword with fire magic which glows with a red aura.

"Laebenal wait. I can hear fighting. We should go and help them." Pale Flare said and turned around. "If we must..." Laebenal said and turned around too. They both started running towards the place where ponies were fighting.

Farsight pushes the advantage and hacks the remaining timberwolf to shreds. The remains merrily burn as he looks around for anymore. His breath is labored from the exertion of both his magic and the battle itself.

The nightmares arrived and saw piles of ash and exhausted ponies. "What happened here? Everypony all right?" Pale Flare asked.

SS: (looking around) Timberwolves, they attacked, but it wasn't a tough battle, we defeated them easily.

The armor and weapons that Farsight holds evaporate away. He turns to the two new arrivals and almost brings them back... But he is too exhausted to do so... He then realizes what Pale said, and relaxes a bit.

Dark Hooves: (Breathing heavily.) Nicely...done...Farsight. (Taps his shoulder with his hoof.) (Puts his sword back in the scabbard and approaches the two nightmares.)

Dark Hooves: (Breathing heavily.) Bugger...timberwolves...I wish...they would...leave Equestria be.

"So we should have stayed longer. They seem to be afraid of us and my fire magic is very useful against them." Pale Flare said. "If you want we can stay here with you." Pale Flare said looking at the exhausted ponies.

Dark Hooves: (After regaining his breath.) Thanks you two that will be very much appreciated, but where are my manners my Name is Dark Hooves. (Silently senses their mana.)

Farsight limps over to the small knot of ponies. That may be a good idea... Looking over at Dark Hooves, he says, You may wish to check on your wife...

Dark Hooves: Thanks Farsight by the way we aren't married yet she's my fiance. (Laughs heartily.)

Silent Shadow transforms the katana into the dagger form and puts it away, he takes from his backpack a chocolate bar and begins to eat it.

SS: However, how is she?, you said you forgot to lend her the house keys.

"Well hello Dark Hooves, I'm Pale Flare and this silent pegasus here is Laebenal." Pale Flare said to Dark Hooves.

((do I have to tell their past or something?))

chocolate bar dissapear in air and all can ear  . ñom ñom ñom  

Dark Hooves: Yes I need to check on Angel and let her know I'm alright. Nice meeting you Pale Flare and Laebenal. I'll be back shortly. (Starts running back to his house.)

Farsight bows deeply before the two new ponies. My name is Farsight, it is a pleasure to meet you. May your dreams continue to grant you strength. He looks back to Dark Hooves, My mistake, I assumed you were married. But, yes, you may wish to check on her.

((You don't have too, or we could RP that we did, and just read each ponies backstory... Just don't ask about my past before I came to Equestria! Or do, it'll make the RP richer. You guys type too fast >.< Blasted phone...))

SS: Hey, that's my chocolate! give it back!

Silent Shadow sighs and turns his attention to the two nightmares.

SS: Glad to see you again.

Dark Hooves arrives at his house to see Angel's Breath sadly sitting on the doorstep.

Dark Hooves: I'm so sorry sweetie I should have handed you the key.

Angel's Breath: (Nestles up to him.) That's alright Darky. Umm is it safe now?

Dark Hooves: Yes everything is fine now me and the other ponies fought off those timberwolves.

Angel's Breath: Well I was enjoying myself very much before you told me to head home.

Dark Hooves: Let's head back to the group of ponies.

Angel's Breath: Alright.

Angel's Breath and Dark Hooves walk back to the group of ponies.

"Nice to meet you too." Pale Flare said.

((the past telling was meant to Dark, but anyway. also you are not the only one using phone))

Angel's Breath: (Whispering.) Darky who are these two? They don't look like the others. (Pointing at Pale Flare and Laebenal.)

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) You should introduce yourself sweetie.

Angel's Breath approaches Pale Flare and Laebenal.

Angel's Breath: (Shyly.) H-Hello there

"Oh, hello there! And who are you?" Pale Flare said looking at Angel's.

Angel's Breath: My name is Angel's Breath, but you may just call me Angel everypony else does.  ^-^

Dark Hooves walks up next Angel's Breath and sits down next to her.

Silent Shadow noticed the return of Dark Hooves and Angel Breath.

SS: Angel Breath, thank goodness you're okay.

He turns his attention to Dark Hooves.

SS: Hey Dark Hooves, do you have any idea why these timberwolves have attacked us so suddenly?

Angel's Breath: Thanks SS I'm just fine.

Dark Hooves: Well whoever is controlling them is behind it but there is no way for me to tell. Where ever he or she is doing this is way to far for me to sense their mana.

SS: whoever he or she is, if I find out who is leaving free this timberwolves to attack innocent pony, will have to deal with me. That's for sure.

Dark Hooves: I'll go with you.

Angel's Breath: Sorry Dark Hooves, sorry SS I'm not a warrior like you two so I'll stay in Ponyville.

Dark Hooves: I know Angel and I'm sure SS wasn't asking you to come along.  ^-^ (Hugs Angel's Breath.)

SS: You two are such a cute couple...

Dark Hooves: I guess you didn't hear me the first time, but that's alright. I am going with you SS these attacks from timberwolves roaming free is unacceptable.  >:O

SS: (holding back the laugh) Perfect then, shall we start from the everfree forest?

(( I'll take that as a yes, then. ))
A lone, steel blue coated unicorn was cantering southwards, probably in a hurry. She blindly ran into Dark Hooves on accident, not falling yet. "Sorry, sorry!" The steel maned pony turned towards him, cantering, but remaining in her position. She looked to his general direction.

Dark Hooves: That's fine Miss its no big deal and SS yes we should start our search there.

The mare kept cantering southwards after that.

SS: The best place to start looking is the source, right? Let's go then. Did you remember to give your house key to your fiancè? (he chuckled saying the last word)

Dark Hooves: (Hands her the key.) Here you go sweetie.

Angel's Breath: Thanks Darky please be careful. (Kisses him on the cheek and starts walking home.)

Dark Hooves: Don't worry I will be.

SS: Come on Darky, let's go. (heads to the everfree forest)

Dark Hooves: Alright. By the way please don't call me that I only like it when Angel calls me that. (Walks up next to SS and continues walking along side him.)

Farsight follows, slightly behind them.

Angel's Breath returns dragging two heavy saddle bags one full of food and water and another full of kindling for campfires and two pieces of flint for lighting it.

Angel's Breath: (Lays the saddle bags next to him.) I hope these aren't too heavy for you Darky.

Dark Hooves: (Putting on the saddle bags.) It's alright they wont be so heavy once some of the food is eaten. (Puts the fint i the bag with the food and water.) Although the flint doesn't need to be with the kindling that could start a fire prematurely.

Angel's Breath: Sorry Darky.

Dark Hooves: That's alright sweetie. (Gives her a goodbye kiss.) I'll be back when we're done with our quest.

Angel's Breath: Good luck Darky and the others too.

"Your fiancée, eh? So, you're not yet married but she isnt just your girlfriend anymore?" Pale Flare asked from Dark Hooves and started to walk with them. Laebenal followed Pale Flare and started to walk next to him.

Dark Hooves: Yeah we're still trying to figure out when to marry but nothing is decided yet.

Feeling sad, but hiding his emotions behind a façade, he only nods. T'would be best to take care of the this timberwolf problem. Make it safer for you at the wedding. He says, trying to subtly change the subject.

Pale Flare nods and continues walking.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing his intentions with his mana while walking.) Your thoughts betray you Farsight, but you're right we should focus on the current problem.

(( *hop back in* ))
As they near the ugly, unnatural forest, they can hear a faint call in the distance. "Castaway~?"

Fasight's ears perk up at the small and distant call. I wonder if that was that mare that ran by earlier... Mayhaps she is in danger...

((Blasted tiny keyboard on this phone!!! Also wish Farsight was in the autocorrect library...))

Dark Hooves: (Hears Farsight.) If she is in danger we need to go help her.

"Yes, we should see what i going on there. It might have something to do with timberwolves." Pale Flare says and turns around.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing their mana.) Yeah timberwolves lets go deal with them. (Enchants all of their weapons with fire magic.) (Starts running to where the timberwolves are at.)

Another voice calls out. Whoever's voice this is, it's creaky, and scratchy, like a tree's bark. "Castaway?" The voices are closer, and some other murmuring can be heard.

His sword and shield ready, but still not quite recovered from their first fight, Farsight follows behind.

Without wielding weapons Laebenal and Pale Flare follows. ((I have really bad connection here, so my posts might come a little late))

Dark Hooves being first to arrive where the timberwolves are he deals with the first one with his fire magic.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. Thats one.

The ponies can't be seen, but a strong gust of wind comes in, followed by the sound of smoke. "Oh dear... Why'd you go?" It's only a faint murmur, though. He can sense the mana of a pony and some nearby timberwolves, all in the same direction.
(( If that's how it works. ))

Pale Flare runs up and casts firewall to burn three timberwolves while Laebenal beats one fighting barehoofed and igniting it with her fire breathing.

Farsight is lagging behind, his exhaustion from casting a portal spell catching up to him. He continues to follow Dark Hooves and the two Nightmare ponies as best he can.

As they moved on, they could see a mare, familiar to Farsight as Aqua. There were about five timberwolfs around her, one sitting, another pacing in circles, and the rest chewing on some wood. They seemed harmless, as the mare moved her head about and seeming to look around. She doesn't notice them yet, nor do the wolves.

Farsight tries to call, discreetly, to the other ponies with him to hold. He was still a fair bit behind, and hoped his voice would not travel to the small group.

Laebenal looks at the timberwolves curiously and Pale Flare looks a bit confused.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing their mana.) Very strange. Whatever was controlling them suddenly stopped.

One sniffs the air, and jumps to its paw's, releasing a very loud and scratchy bark. Just then, Aqua turns, staring directly at them with a face of shock almost.

Farsight catches up to the other ponies, and looks right to Aqua, recognition in his eyes. I... know that... mare... He mumbles between his breaths.

Dark Hooves: (Teasingly.) Is she your very special somepony Farsight?

The same sadness fills him once more, but the exhaustion blocks the pained expression from his face, if not his voice. No... I... Don't have a special somepony. She is a friend.

Aqua mutters something to herself. "Oh s'il vous plaît..." With that, the pony vanishes into the air, with a flash. The timberwolves continue their boring--fun in their eyes--tasks, some eventually walking away. The one that was barking kept barking at them before getting bored and stopping. They were odd timberwolves, probably tame, though they appeared to be from the heart of the wilds.

Dark Hooves: I was only joking Farsight I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Farsight shakes his head and says, Those timberwolves are not the ones we are looking for... They almost seemed like domesticated dogs...

"Anypony understood what she said?" Pale Flare said. ((i know it really but my OCs doesn't ^-^))

It sounded like Prench... He commented.

"Can you translate it?" Pale Flare said. Laebenal looks bored and is sitting and poking the ground.

Unfortunatly, no... I only know a little Palmorinian... I knew what language it was just because I've been through Prance before.

((Sorry the late I was a bit busy >.<))

SS: If I remember correctly, it should mean something like "oh please".

Dark Hooves: So now what? These timberwolves aren't getting us anywhere.

Can you still sense where the one that controlled the timberwolves that attacked us is at?

Dark Hooves: I'll try. (Starts focusing his mana around and finds one.) There half mile out to the west, but lets try to follow it without it detecting us.

Laebenal and Pale Flare starts walking without saying a word.

Lead on, then.

((Gone for awhile, math class and I need to charge my phone when I get home.))

SS: The stealth is my job

Silent Shadow turns in the shade form, becoming virtually undetectable except for a discoloration on the ground.

SS: (speaking under Dark Hooves shadow) Lead the way, Dark Hooves.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (Starts walking in the direction of the controlled timberwolves.)

SS: (speaking under Dark Hooves shadow) So, do you have a plan for once we get there?

Dark Hooves: Well I was thinking that we could study them and see if the culprit would reveal themself to us.

SS: So it is better if we expect guard posts, although I think that building the main base so close to a village is not very smart. I think it's more likely to be only a kind of secondary base or something

Dark Hooves: I agree, but still we need to find out more before we act.

SS: Ideed, the more we know the better it is.

(( Let us continue, then. ))
The wolfs' 'signature' was getting closer, and they could hear inaudible mumbling.

((Dark Hooves told me that we can continue with the role play, as long we don't make any progress with the story))

SS: we're getting closer.

As Shadow talked, the voices were silenced, as whoever was making the noise heard them.

SS: (whispering) I think they heard me, let's hide, it is better that they do not know more of our location.

In his shade form he camouflages with the surroundings.

"There!" A murmur can be heard, and quickly is silenced. It seems they can see him, even in his shadow form. There isn't any more movement, yet.

SS: (whispered) How did they saw me?

Silent Shadow comes out of his shadow form.

SS: Who are you? Show yourself.

There isn't any sound, or movement, except for a singular timberwolf snooping around. It doesn't give notice to Silent Shadow, and continues sniffing the ground for something.

((I'm going off soon, so I will probably continue tomorrow))

SS: (whispering) Who said that? And what is that timberwolf looking for?

Silent Shadow took the shade form and observes the timberwolf

(( Okay. ))
The timberwolf kept walking on, disappearing into the brush.

Laebenal and Pale Flare waited a couple of meters back from SS and Dark. "Did she got away again?" Pale Flare asks from SS.

ace walks around, wondering what he should do

(( I'm on right now. Shall we continue? ))

Farsight sits back, still recovering from the last battle.

((I'm back for a little while.))

Dark Hooves: (Following the timberwolf.) Strange this seems normal too.

SS: (speaking under DH shadow) Dark Hooves, I think somepony is following us.

Dark Hooves turns around and searches the area behind him with his magic.

Dark Hooves: There is someone following us. I can't tell who it is though.

SS: Whoever it is, it can detect me in this form.

Let us hope they are friendly, then. He said.

SS: Yeah... However, Dark Hooves, can you identify other individuals nearby?

Dark Hooves: Yeah I can still sense Pale Flare and the others.

Dark Hooves suddenly loses the mana signature.

Dark Hooves: Bugger they're jamming my magic sense.

If they can jam that, I wonder what else they can jam...

SS: If they can do that, they must know some powerfull spells or some high-tech tecnology.

Dark Hooves: They're using magic. I know I felt the mana for a brief moment before losing the mana signature. All I got from that is that it is a unicorn with very high level magic.

SS: Might it be that pony that is following us?

I guess we'll see...

Dark Hooves: I can't tell, but we should be ready if the unicorn decides to attack us. (Unsheathes his crystal bladed broadsword.)

SS: So we can exclude that is friendly... (emerging from DH shadow) we should be close, we've been walking for quite some time.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing them.) Great more timberwolves. (Enchants everypony's weapons with fire magic.)

(( I'll be on a bit later, but here's my post. ))
The magic signature that was behind them began to wither away, and within seconds it was gone.

SS: (sighs) These guys are endless (draws the dagger) Alright, let's do this.

Let them come. If they mean harm, we will show it to them. He says, his sword bathed in Dark Hooves enchanted fire.

Pale Flare and Laebenal follows the others.

One timberwolf charges at Dark Hooves.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. (The timberwolf is reduced to ashes.)

Another charges at him and swings its claws at him.

Dark Hooves: (Dodges the attack and cuts it in half with the sword enchanted by fire magic.) Too slow.

((another fight with weak timberwolves))
Pale Flare starts to gather fireballs to shoot them at the wolves and Laebenal drags one of them to the skies.

Two timberwolves charged at Silent Shadow, with the enchanted dagger he menaged to reduce one to ashes with a strong slash and before the second one could hit him with the claw, he kicked it, throwing in the sky and soon after, flying rapidly in the sky with the enchanted dagger, he pierces the timberwolf cutting it in half.

Laebenal ignites the timberwolf she dragged up with her firebreathing and then she drops it from the heights crushing it to pieces. Pale Flare fires four fireballs, each hitting one timbewolf and if not destroying it ignites it to make them weaker.

Dark Hooves slashes two of the timberwolves with his sword which the fire magic on the blade reduces them to ash.

Dark Hooves: (Breathing heavily.) Take...that.

Couple of timberwolves tries to attack Pale Flare who casts a barrier to protect himself from the attacks. Laebenal flies down to start fighting with one of the timberwolves attacking Pale Flare.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga.

Because of his exhuastion the fire magic only burns half of the timberwolf reducing it to ash which the upper half remains and start dragging itself off to the cover of the trees

Farsight stabs the limping timberwolf with his sword, burning the rest of it away. None can escape.

Dark Hooves: (Annoyed.) Dangit Farsight...we could have...studied that one.

((All defeated?))

((We haven't heard from WMW yet. I didn't want him to feel left out.))

((I'm going to say something to Dark, but I'll wait for WMW.))

Silent Shadow lands heavily and he was immediately attacked by other three timberwolves that surrounded him, he turns his dagger into the katana form and then attack them with a circular attack, cutting and then reducing to ashes the lower part of their body and leaving suspended the upper part of their body, then inflicts the final blow to each one of them but one that falls heavily to the ground.

There, you have your wolf to study. Although I don't know how much we will learn. He told Dark Hooves, his sword flaring out.

Dark Hooves: Thanks SS. (Starts studying the timberwolf with his magic sense.)

((so, only that wounded one left?))
Pale Flare removes his barrier and Laebenal had won the timberwolf in a barehoofed fight.

((seems so))

SS: (thinking) I wanted to finish it later... argh whatever...

"You okay Laebenal?" Pale Flare asks from Laebenal. "Yes, just a little scratch." She said holding her left foreleg. "You know that this is a bit scary. They don't seem to fear fire at all." Pale Flare said to the others.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing the mana in the timberwolf.) That's weird this mana has been corrupted.

SS: This explains their sudden aggressive behavior, but who corrupt them? and why?

"Could it be that mare we saw earlier?" Pale Flare said while he and Laebenal walked towards the others.

SS: It's possible, but why is she behaving like this?

If it is her... Then something is wrong, she wouldn't do this.

SS: (curious) Wait Farsight, you know her?

Yes, I know her. She's a friend, although I don't know why she would be talking with Timberwolves... As I said, she wouldn't have them attack us if she were normal.

SS: Could you tell me something about her? You know, if there is a possibility that we will have to fight her, the more information I know better it is.

"I hope we can solve this or we can't live here anymore because of rampaging timberwolves." Pale Flare said. "Darn that timberwolf. Good this isn't deep." Laebenal said quietly when she took a look on the wound on her left foreleg.

She's blind, but can sense you. How? I don't know... If it can be avoided, I'd rather not harm her.

SS: I don't like to hurt other ponys to unless it's really necessary. We should find a way make her to return to normal.

((I think Dark said he was going off for a bit, we should probably wait.))

((Yeah, it wouldn't be nice to continue without him))

((Thanks everypony for your patience. Lousy dial-up makes it where I can't be on all day b/c it ties up the phone line.))

Dark Hooves: (Finishes studying the timberwolf.) The culprit ran off to the north, but who knows how far since he or she jammed my magic sense. This timberwolf is the leader of the pack which was given the command to attack us which this one gave the order to the rest of them that attacked us. We should rest up some so we can be at full strength just in case we have to fight again. Here SS go ahead and finish this one off. (Throws the timberwollf right in front of SS which is snarling aggressively.)

SS: (grinning) Excellent.

Silent Shadow attacks the timberwolf with a whirlwind attack, which causes a dark whirlwind, pulverizing the timberwolf.

SS: Now shall we go now?

Dark Hooves: I think the others may need some rest.

SS: (looking at the others) I think you're right, should we camp here for a bit?

Dark Hooves pulls some apples from his saddle bag and starts eating.

SS: I'll take that as a yes...

Silent Shadow turned the katana in the dagger form and puts it away, then takes from his bag a chocolate bar and start eating it.

SS: So, if I may ask, how did you and Angel Breath met?

Pale Flare sits down and Laebenal walks off. "Don't worry. She went to look for food." Pale Flare said to others.

His armor fades, seeming to evaporate of his body. While this is happening, a saddlebag appears in front of him and he pulls an apple out as well, an begins his own meal.

Dark Hooves: We first met in school. (Sighs happily.) Love at first sight.

After saying this to SS Dark Hooves decides to try a new spell and focuses his ice magic onto his sword, but it fails.

Dark Hooves: Pony feathers. (He tries again and his sword resonates with the ice magic then he walks over to a nearby boulder and gently taps it with the sword unsure what the ice magic will do to it. The boulder explodes sending thousands of pieces flying everywhere.) (Laughs sheepishly.) Sorry everypony, I didn't know that would happen.

((I'll be back on tomorrow around 8 am USA eastern time. See you all then.))

None of the shards managed to hit him, but one did fly through the apple he was eating. Well, that was interesting.

((ok then, see ya))

One of the shard pointed to Silent Shadow face, but he manages to dodge before it could hit him.

SS: (angry) Be carefull, you almost hit me! Geez

"Woah!" Pale Flare shouted while taking cover from the shards. "Wasn't that supposed to be ice magic?" He asked. Laebenal came back and gave Pale Flare a leaf with berries on it. "Back already?" Pale Flare asked from her. "Yes. There were some rats and a bush full of these berries. I know you don't like meat, so I brought you these." Laebenal said to him.

((Lousy dial up. XD I'm at my aunts using her high speed internet.))

Dark Hooves: Sorry, that was ice magic it just exploded the boulder upon contact. I don't get it, I only tapped it with my sword. (Thinking.) Mental note ice magic plus boulder equals exploded boulder.

((lol))

SS: Be more careful next time, you could hurt somepony.

Dark Hooves: Don't worry I'll be careful with my ice magic. (Puts his sword into his scabbard.)

Silent Shadow finishes eating.

SS: So Dark Hooves, where did you learn to use that sword?

Dark Hooves: Zecora taught me how to forge a sword from raw materials as well as how to use it. She also helped me with my magic too which is why I possess all four elemental magic spells, which they are fire, ice, water, and lightning.

SS: I suppose she taught you to use magic through meditation.

Dark Hooves: Yes she did. It helped me alot especially with regaining my memory after my traumatic experience with the dragons.

SS: What happend? I mean, if you're willing to talk about it.

Dark Hooves: I was foalnapped when I was ten years old by dragons who wanted to use my magic sense for their own selfish ambitions.

SS: How did you escape from them?

Dark Hooves: One of the dragons didn't want to take part with the other's plan and she set me free because she felt that I should have to be their slave and do their bidding. I haven't seen her since, so I don't know what she's been doing all of these years.

SS: Well, my friend, it seems like both of us has not had a very peaceful childhood.

Dark Hooves: Yeah well I've already put the past behind me. Thanks to Princess Twilight.

SS: So now you can live a happy life with Angel Breath

"I've been wondering, why do you use weapons?" Pale Flare said after finishing his meal.

Dark Hooves: Yes. When I returned to her she was so happy to see me that she started pounding on my chest while crying and telling me not to leave her again. (Turns to Pale Flare.) Well I can only use my magic so much before I run out of mana, so I have my sword to use as a back up.

"Well... I use my magic until I get done what I have to or faint and in that condition weapons are not useful." Pale Flare said.

Dark Hooves: Well I do plan on being a master swordspony. Then I could teach ponies to both forge their own sword and use it too.

"And world gets closer to doom." Pale Flare said. "I am a nightmare, but that doesn't mean that I'm a warrior like others..." He continued sadly and Laebenal sat next to him.

SS: That's a nice goal Dark. Maybe someday we can make a fight just for fun (turns to Pale Flare) Hey what's wrong?

Dark Hooves: I'm only going to teach them to use their swords only for self defense, not to start fights.

"It's just hard to think being so much different than others of your race..." Pale Flare said. "I know weapons can be useful, but they also bring a lot of sorrow.." He continued.

SS: I do not mean it that way, I mean that fighting we could increase our capacity (turns to Pale Flare) I don't see so much difference between our races.

"I meant between other nightmares. They all are colored black and they are warriors, I'm colored white and not really that kind of warrior." He said and sighed.

SS: I believe that the circustances of one's birth are irrelevant, it's what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

Dark Hooves: Exactly. Very well spoken SS.

"I know, but one day I'd like to go back to my herd and chance their thoughts about fighting. He said.

It is hard to change the traditions bred into a race... But I wish you luck on your endeavor.

Dark Hooves: (Looking up at the sky.) It's getting dark we should get some sleep. We'll need our strength for when we catch up to the culprit.

SS: Yeah, you go to sleep, I'll guard your sleep.

"Yes, that's a good idea. We can move further away to let you sleep better." Pale Flare said and he and Laebenal stood up.

Dark Hooves: You two can stay here. I trust you.

Let me cast a ward on all of us, that our dreams may be guarded. He says, as his horn began to glow, not the normal light-gray color, but a golden color.

"If you insist." Pale Flare said and lied down. "When you get tired I can guard." Laebenal said to SS.
((note their manes and tails to see the reason for moving further))

Dark Hooves: (Yawns.) Thanks Farsight. (Lies down on the ground and starts sleeping.)

SS: I'll keep that in mind Laebenal, but it won't be necessary. Now you all go to sleep, you'll need all you strength tomorrow. Good night.

Before he moves to a position of his own to sleep, he walks over to SS, If you wish, I can cast a spell that will keep your energy up even while you are awake.

SS: (whisper) Yes please, so the chances that I can fall asleep will be minimized.

Pale Flare started to sleep. "Humph... If you say so..." Laebenal said to SS and lied down next to Pale Flare.

His horn glows once more with the golden light, There, now, be safe in your vigil. He whispers back before moving to a spot and drifting off to sleep.

After a few hours Dark Hooves wakes hearing rustling from a nearby bush.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking.) What is this. (Focuses on the source.) (Yells.) A dragon!

Dark Hooves unsheathes his sword and charges at the blue bodied dragon which the dragon locks her claws against the blade of the sword. The dragon looks at Dark Hooves flank and recognizes his cutiemark.

Sapphire Blaze: Please wait I don't wish to harm you.

Dark Hooves: Since when do dragons out here show mercy.

Sapphire Blaze: When I helped you escape my brother and his friend.

Dark Hooves: (Puts his sword back into the scabbard.) (Squinting his eyes.) Sapphire Blaze is that really you?

Sapphire Blaze: Yes, it's me.

Dark Hooves: Where is your brother and his friend? (Looking around.)

Sapphire Blaze: Don't worry I'm no longer living with them. My brother did this to me after I helped you escape. (Points to the three scars over her left eye.) Thanks to him I have no use of my left eye at all.

Silent Shadow hears Dark Hooves scream and dashed between the two with his katana unleashed.

SS: (to the dragon) What do you want?!

He is awakened by the commotion, coming out of his Dream Trance. He lifts his head up, his horn flaring into life, the gray light lightening the camp. What's going on?

*yawn* "What's going on?" Pale Flare asked while trying to stand up. Laebenal is already standing watching the dragon and Dark carefully.

Dark Hooves grabs SS with a full nelson hold.

Dark Hooves: SS remember that I told you one of the dragons had helped me escape. This is her.

SS: Uh? That's her?... I'm sorry miss, I saw a dragon and I reacted instinctively. Please forgive my rudeness.

Sapphire Blaze: That's quite alright.

Dark Hooves: (Releases SS from the full nelson hold.) Sorry about that buddy.

Sapphire Blaze: My name is Sapphire Blaze, but you may just call me Sapphire. Nice to meet you by the way.

"Wow! A dragon!" Pale Flare shouted when he saw that dragon.

He stands and walks over to the dragon. My name is Farsight, and it is a pleasure to meet you. He says with a bow to the dragon. May dreams always conquer your nightmares.

SS: None taken Dark (puts the atana away and turns to Sapphire Blaze) Nice to meet you to, let me introduce myself, I'm Silent Shadow. I'm sorry for attaking you.

Sapphire Blaze: It's nice to meet all of you. Although most other ponies either run away or attack me which is why I've been alone these past years.

Dark Hooves: (Pulls some apples from his saddle bag.) Here you go.

Sapphire Blaze: Thanks. (Grabs the apples and eats them.) I was hungry but, I don't say things like that because out here showing weakness only invites trouble.

"You are the first dragon I have ever seen!" Pale Flare shouted and walked towards Sapphire, but Laebenal stopped him.

Sapphire Blaze: Well not everypony is curious about dragons.

Dark Hooves: You're welcome to sleep here for the night if you want Sapphire. (Walks back to the campsite.)

Sapphire Blaze: Thanks Dark Hooves. I could use some sleep. (Walks up to the campsite but keeps her distance from the other ponies then walks in a tight circle burning the ground with her fire breath then lies down and falls asleep.)

"I don't trust that dragon." Laebenal whispered to Pale Flare. "If one dragon is evil it doesn't mean that they all are. Pale Flare said to her.

Dark Hooves looks over at Laebenal and without even sensing her mana he can tell she doesn't trust Sapphire Blaze just by the expression on her face.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking.) Well I guess not everypony is willing to trust dragons. Such a shame.

He extinguishes his light spell and wanders back to his spot, but before lying down to sleep, he once again casts his ward, on Sapphire. With that finished, he laid down and drifted back off into his Dream Trance.

SS: (he returns to his guard post) (thinking) I hope we don't get any other surprises for the rest of the night

Dark Hooves: (Quietly.) So SS what do you think of Sapphire?

Pale Flare and Laebenal lies down but Laebenal just stares at Sapphire and doesn't try to sleep.
((she doesn't like dragons because of her past))

SS: (whisper) I think she's fine for now. I didn't spend enough time with her to get a precise judgment.

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) I understand. I just don't get why some can't bring themselves to trust a dragon.

SS: (whispering) Well, must dragons aren't really friendly with ponys. Didn't a dragon kidnapped you when you were just a foal?

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) Yes, but even those dragons possess potential for change.

SS: (whispering) I understand what you mean, but not all are willing to give their trust easily a creature that breathes fire and can easily destroy a city.

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) I guess so, but Zecora taught me that holding on to hatred only brings suffering to you and everypony around you.

SS: (whispering) It's easier to break an atom than a prejudice. Although it is not wise to give the trust so easily (he points the scar in his right eye)

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) From a dragon?

SS: (whispering) No, from another pony actually. It was the time when I used to live here.

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) Cut from a sword?

SS: (whispering) From a spear actually, or it was a pitchfork? Ah, I can't remember...

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) It must of been hard on Sapphire to be attacked by her own brother.

SS: (whispering) Yeah, but at last she have a family... She's luckier then me...

Dark Hooves: (Whispering.) I don't think so, she seems to be rather alone. I think she may not consider her brother family anymore.

SS: (whisper) ...I think it's better for you to go to sleep and gain some energy for tomorrow... we'll need it...

Dark Hooves: Yeah well goodnight SS. (Walks over to Sapphire Blaze and puts his left wing onto her back and falls asleep.)

SS: Good Night... (thinking) ...a family...

The sun rises the next morning.

Dark Hooves: (Looking at SS.) Good morning.

SS: Good morning Dark Hooves, slept well?

Dark Hooves: Sure did. I hope Sapphire slept well.

Pale Flare gets up and looks around. "Anypony knows where's Laebenal? Is she looking for food?" He said worried because he couldn't see her anywhere.

Dark Hooves: I don't know. I didn't see her when I woke up.

"I hope nothing bad happened... I can't sense her flames so she is over 50 meters from us. It's not safe at here, not now when timberwolves aren't scared of fire anymore..." Pale Flare said running and looking around.

SS: Wait Pale Flare, if we all search we'll have more chances to find her.

"Silent, you were guarding, did you see her leaving?" Pale Flare said still running.

SS: No, and thats strange, last time I saw her she was lying next to you.

"She could sneak past you but she wouldn't go that far without telling anypony." Pale Flare said looking around the camp for signs of Laebenal.

SS: Maybe Dark can use his powers to sense her mana.

He stirs, hearing the conversations around him. He awoke and asked, What's going on?

SS: Laebenal went missing and we have no idea of where she might have gone.

Hmmm, I did sense her dreams stop through the night, but I didn't think much of it... I thought she might of gone off to... You know... "Take care of business".

Dark Hooves: (Searching with his mana.) Nope she's out of my sensing range.

((His sensing range is 1/2 mile.))

SS: Where can she have gone? I hope she's alright... (whispering) I'm just a feather brain, I should have been more vigilant.

"Can we go looking for her or do we first try to deal with this timberwolf problem?" Pale Flare tried to say as calm as possible without succeeding.
((sorry, we had a big family party that lasted 12hours and it was in a place without network so I couldn't post earlier...))

Dark Hooves: It's up to you, I'll help you any way I can.

Sapphire Blaze: (Wakes up.) What's going on?

Maybe we can solve both problems... If we search for her, we might solve the timberwolf problem as well and vice versa.

Dark Hooves: That's a good idea Farsight.

"Yes... That's a good idea." Pale Flare said shivering a little. "We leave right away?" He added.

Dark Hooves: Well Sapphire I've got to go help Pale Flare.

Sapphire Blaze: Alright, I better get going too. (Flys off to the north.)

SS: let's go, we have no time to lose.

He stands, his armor once more appearing on him. We have no time to lose, let's go.

Dark Hooves gets along side of Pale Flare.

Dark Hooves: I noticed you started shivering right before we stated running. Are you alright?

"I'm fine. I just get really stressful when I don't know where she is." Pale Flare said to Dark.

Dark Hooves: Ok then. Just wanted to make sure you're alright.

SS: Which way do we go?

Pale Flare looks around. "I don't see anything that would help us find Laebenal or the timberwolves so, I don't know..." He says.

Dark Hooves: Let me check. (Starts searching the area with his magic.) Got it Laebenal's fire mana, but it's 3 miles away she must be using it.

((Laebenal is pegasus not unicorn. Her fire abilities are her racial (nightmare) not magical abilities))

((Well I'm assuming that every living thing in Equestria has mana whether it can use it or not. I'll edit "magic" to "mana".))

"Really? Which way?" Pale Flare asks and looks at Dark.

Dark Hooves: To the northwest. (Points the direction out)

SS: Perfect, lead the way.

Dark Hooves starts running in the direction where he sensed Laebenal's mana from.

Silent Shadow follows Dark Hooves.

Pale Flare follows Dark also.

((You may come up with what happens next Laebenal)

((okay, but it might take a while... :P))

((That's alright take your time ^-^.))

The group reached the place where Dark led them and they saw a small burnt area Laebenal lying unconscious in the middle of it and some timberwolves walking closer to Laebenal growling. "No!" Pale Flare shouted and jumped out to protect Laebenal. He headbutted one timberwolf and when he reached Laebenal he cast barrier to prevent timberwolves from harming her. "Take them out! I'll protect Laebenal!" He shouted as one of the timberwolves jumped to his barrier and bounced off.

((This is what first came to my mind. There's 7 healthy + 1 wounded timberwolf out there (I know it isn't much but now Laebenal and our little pyromancer Pale Flare can't help).))

Farsight had brought his sword back as well, and a second one, going to be more offensive for this fight. His armor was also on from before, ready to take a brunt of the attacks.

SS: Laebenal ... NO!

Silent Shadow pulls the dagger from its sheath and turns immediately into the katana form.
He explains the powerful wings and slammed, he rushes near the barrier, tackling one of the timberwolves, and it ended up a little further.
Silent Shadow is furious, his eyes glow with a red light and a black aura surrounds him, the aura runs through his body until it pass the blade of the katana.

SS: (roaring) You will pay for what you did to her!

All that Pale Flare can do while holding the barrier up is to look at Laebenal. She has a couple of cuts in her body and a mark left from timberwolfs bite at her right hind leg and her left wing seems to be in a bad condition. She is breathing weakly but steadily.

Two timberwolves charge at Dark Hooves which he cast Firaga on one reducing it to ashes and cuts the other in half down the length of its body.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. (Reduces the second one to ashes)

SS: (raging) You are going to pay for this!

He angrily rushes against two timberwolves, inflicting them many blows.
The black aura that covers his katana burns the timberwolves with a black flame reducing them into ashes.

SS: (raging) Alright, who's next?

His pupils have become very small and is still furious with the timberwolves.

SS: (still raging with the timberwolves) I don't have time for you, if you want to help, fine, if not, I'll deal with you later when this place has become safe and I get my revenge with these timberwolves for hurting a friend.
Now, if you excuse me, I have these two vermins to take care (charges one of the timberwolves)

Dark Hooves turns toward Old One Eye and holds his sword over his head pointing slightly downward.

Dark Hooves: if you attack my friend, You'll leave me with no choice, but to attack you. Your choice.

Old One Eye's teeth crack when they hit the blade.

Dark Hooves: This isn't a normal sword. It's made from crystals not steel. Nigredo Glacaga.

Old One Eye is now encased in ice.

Dark Hooves: Well I see he can't stand the cold. Sorry OOE I can't have you rampaging about and hurting my friends. (Turns to SS) I feel kind of bad to trap him in ice.

The furious Silent Shadow cut the timberwolf to half with a vertical slash and then an horizontal one that reduce it into ash.

SS: We'll take care of him after this thing is over (glare at the last timberwolf) Now where were we?

((You can take down the last one if you want))

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. (The last one is reduced to ashes)

Silent Shadow resumes calm, dissolve the aura that surrounds him, turn the katana in the dagger form and puts it away.

SS: (taking deep breaths) Ok, now this place is safe... for now...

Dark Hooves: So what will we do with Old One Eye? (Thinking) I'm not setting him free unless I can trust him not to attack friends.

SS: What if you let free only the head? Maybe we could try to reason with him.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (Releases the ice from OOE's head only)

Dark Hooves: Could you please wake him up? I have to keep my magic ready incase he tries something.

SS: Ok (flies close to him and tap his head) Hey, wake up.

Dark Hooves:............. (Thinking) Strange he acts like a foal.

SS: Maybe later, but first why have to explain me why you wanted to attack me.

SS: Well, that's not a kind thing to say. Plus the fact that you don't like another individual is an excuse to put an end to its life.

SS: It's not that simple, if I lose a leg, I'll lose it for the rest of my life.

Dark Hooves: We can't just regenerate a limb just like that. We are ponies not timberwolves.

Dark Hooves: (Annoyed) We are. SS is a pegasus and I'm an Alicorn.

"Is it over?" Pale Flare asks from inside his barrier.

Dark Hooves: Yes we took care of them.

SS: Ponys are the inhabitants of Equestria. And like Dark pointed, there are different races of ponys, earth ponys that don't have neither wings nor horns, unicorns that have a horn and can use magic, pegasus, like myself, that can fly. And lastly there are Alicorns that have the three racial attributes (turn to Pale Flare) Yes, it's over. How's Laebenal?

Pale Flare extinguishes his barrier and takes a look around. "She's alive but hurt really badly..." He says sadly.

Dark Hooves: (Forming a stretcher out of twigs and vines) Well she can't battle anymore and we'll have to carry her.

Silent Shadow slams the hoof on the ground repeatedly in frustration.

SS: Darn! It's all my fault! If I had been more vigilant I could prevent it!

Pale Flare tries to lift Laebenal and gets her on his back. "She is stronger than me... She can lift more weight better than I..." Pale Flare says trying to keep his balance. "Silent, don't blame yourself. We have to wait Laebenal to wake up so she can tell us why she left the camp."

Dark Hooves: (Sets the stretcher next to Laebenal and gently places her on it) Lead the way OOE.

Pale Flare lays Laebenal on the stretcher and grabs the other side of it.

Dark Hooves: Oh right. (Releases the ice spell, setting OOE free)

Before they can go into the lair, they can hear a call in the distance, with the same, wood hardened voice. "Castaway?!"

Silent Shadow's ears twitched hearing the noise and turns his head as he walked.

SS: (thinking) What was that?... maybe it's just my imagination.

"Not as good as our cave but it's better than nothing." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves finds a flat place to lay down and tries to relax lying on the ground.

Pale Flare puts the stretcher down. "I hope she's going to be all right..." He says and sits down next to Laebenal.

Silent Shadow puts the stretcher down and he sits down.

SS: (thinking) It's all my fault...

Dark Hooves: (Sensing her mana) She'll be fine. Laebenal just needs to rest for a while and have her wounds treated. (Starts pulling medical supplies out of his saddle bag)

Pale Flare takes a closer look on Laebenal's injuries and sees some small burns on her body. "I wonder how did she get some burns." He says.

Dark Hooves: Do you think that some of her abilities could be like a double edge sword and have some ill effects to her when she uses them?

"Not any that I know." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: Very strange, I didn't sense anything that had fire mana besides Laebenal

"Well, we have to wait her to wake up and then she can tell us." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: Yes only she can give us the answers we seek.

Dark Hooves: I'll bandage up her front end and since she trusts you, I'll let you bandage up her back end Pale Flare.

Dark Hooves: Alright that should do it.

SS: How is she...?

Dark Hooves: We've bandaged her up so it's only a matter of time until she wakes.

After some time Laebenal opens her eyes slowly. "Ugh..." "Oh, you woke." Pale Flare said and walked to her. "You okay?" "Yes, I guess... What is this place! Where am I!" Laebenal said blinking her eyes when she saw the cave. "You're safe and that's the most important thing." Pale Flare says to her. Laebenal tries to stand up but she couldn't. "Argh! I think I'm hurt..." "Yes. You are hurt badly and you need more rest to fully recover." Pale Flare says and sits down next to Laebenal.

Dark Hooves: Yes please take it easy. (Pulls some apples from his saddlebag and sets them in front of Leabenal with his magic) You need to eat.

"Ugh. Apples..." Laebenal says and wrinkles her nose. "Oh, forgot to mention. She prefers meat." Pale Flare says blushing. X3 "But as you can't hunt now, you have to eat those." Pale Flare says to Laebenal. "Fine..." Laebenal says and starts eating.

Dark Hooves: Sorry Laebenal, I didn't know. (Laughs sheepishly) I can't help being a vegetarian.

SS: Laebenal, can I ask what happened when you left the campsite?

"Yes. Most ponies are vegetarians but nightmares are usually omnivores." Pale Flare says. "And because of my past I am vegetarian as well.

"I'm not sure. It felt like some strange power was dragging me deeper into the forest." Laebenal says to Silent. "Thanks..." Laebenal says to OOE and starts eating the fish.

Dark Hooves: What did the strange power feel like exactly?

"It was like something was controlling my body to make me walk away. After some time it ended and I was in the middle of forest." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Could you at least tell which direction you were heading?

"I don't know. I don't remember anything else about it than it dragged me out from the camp." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Well I don't mean to bombard you with questions, it's just I'm trying to find out who's behind the timberwolf attack.

SS: May have been the mare we've heard earlier to controll you?

"I don't know. After I could control my body again I started to look around if I could find a way back and then the timberwolves attacked as a big group." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: You also have some burns on you. I don't know where those came from though.

"That might be from different strange thing that happened to me while fighting the timberwolves. I was clearly going to lose but then I started to float and radiate in a burning aura. I couldn't see what it did as I  fell unconscious after that but I'm sure it destroyed some timberwolves. Laebenal says. "Well, that explains the burned ground around you and the small amount of the timberwolves left." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: I guess it's a new ability for you that acts as a double edge sword I think.

"Then I need to learn how to control it..." Laebenal says. "You can do it after this timberwolf problem. I will help you with it." Pale Flare says.

SS: We are all here if you need any help.

Dark Hooves: Well we aren't going anywhere in this weather.

Ligtning crackles and thunder booming.

"We could all sleep and see if we can move out tomorrow." Pale Flare says and lays down.

Dark Hooves: Well that and Laebenal doesn't need to be over exerting herself until she has recovered.

"Yes. Well... night everypony." Pale Flare says and starts to sleep. "Now you don't have to worry about me as I can't walk for a while..." Laebenal says and starts to sleep too.

(off for 1 hour))

Dark Hooves: Good night. (Lies down not too far from Laebenal to keep an eye on her if she needs something and falls asleep)

SS: Good night (sits and remains in a sort of meditation)

((forgot that I have training today, so I'm off for 2 and a half hour not just 1 hour :P)

Dark Hooves wakes up a couple hours later and sees that Laebenal and Pale Flare are still sleeping.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking) Good, at least she's getting some well deserved rest.

Dark Hooves sensing Laebenal anxiety walks over to her and gently shakes her shoulder.

"Uhh... What? Aren't I supposed to get some rest?" Laebenal says and opens her eyes.

Dark Hooves: I sensed your anxiety and thought that you need to take care of personal business. (trying to be discreet)

"Anxiety? Maybe only because of these wounds..." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Alright I guess, I'm just trying to be helpful since you can't walk right now. The wounds on your back end I let Pale Flare treat because I didn't want invade your personal space. I'm only telling you this because you were unconsious and I want you to know that Pale Flare and I treated your wounds and that I was respecting your personal space.

((typo))

*sigh* "And that's why you woke me up?" Laebenal asks and she would have rolled her eyes if she would have pupils.
((so bad grammar...))

Dark Hooves: Sorry Laebenal, just trying to be helpful and friendly. I hope you aren't mad.

"Mad or not, I have wild nature and some ponies counts that as mad." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Well please go back to sleep and here. (Gives her some green tea) I don't know if you like this, but it will give you more energy when you brew it and drink the tea. (Walks back to his spot and lies down)

Laebenal looks at the tea suspiciously but decides to drink it. After that she closes her eyes again and tries to sleep again.

Dark Hooves: (Thinking to himself) I think she's starting to warm up a little, but I should still keep my distance. I don't know what she's capable of doing if I accidently tick her off.

He soon falls back to sleep and wakes up the next morning.

Dark Hooves: (Stretching his legs) (Thinking) Well the storm has passed, but we're still stuck here until Laebenal recovers. (Walks over and gently shakes Pale Flare's shoulder) (Quietly) I think you should wake up, it's morning.

Pale Flare opens his eyes and looks at Dark. "Oh, okay." He says and stands up. "I feel so useless..." Laebenal says when she fell down again when she tried to stand up.

Dark Hooves gently lifts Laebenal with his magic.

Dark Hooves: Just let me know where to send you and I'll do so carefully.

"Put me down... I want to walk with my own legs..." Laebenal says to Dark. "You better believe her. She might be young but she is also strong willed." Pale Flare says quietly to Dark.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (Gently sets Laebenal down) Just take it easy, please.

Silent Shadow, who was still sitting, leaves his state of meditation and do a bit of stretching.

SS: Good morning, have you slept well?

will you be much more at my home ponies?

"Good morning to you to, Silent!" Pale Flare says to Silent. "Let me help you up." He says to Laebenal and walks next to her. Laebenal stood up with the help of Pale Flare and is now leaning to him to not fall down.

Dark Hooves: Well that all depends on Laebenal, if she thinks she can walk we'll head out.

"I can walk only with the help of another pony at the moment." Laebenal says.

SS: I'll wait for you outside, be checking if the situation outside is safe.

Dark Hooves: Well that's still up to the two of you to decide if you want to continue on or we can just exit OOE's home and set up camp elsewhere and wait for you to recover.

SS: let me know your decision, I'll be outside.

Silent Shadow walks out of the cave and see the surroundings without getting noticed.

"It's all up to Laebenal, I think." Pale Flare says. "I might be wild by nature but I ain't total dumb. I can walk but will recover much slower if we leave now." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Well this is Old One Eye's home it's up to him if we can stay longer.

Dark Hooves: Thanks OOE, I'm sure Laebenal appreciates this too. (Turns to Laebenal) Well I guess I can go get some food for you. Don't worry it will be meat.

"And how are you going to do that? You're a pony not a beast..." Laebenal says to Dark.

Dark Hooves: I"ll catch a deer in a pitfall trap then use my sword to end it's suffering.

Silent Shadow returns to the cave.

SS: Outside is safe. So, you have decided what to do?

"And you won't feel bad for killing it?" Laebenal asks from Dark. "I quess we are staying here a bit longer." Pale Flare says to Silent.

SS: Alright, what were you talking about?

Dark Hooves: Well, I will feel a little bad about that, but you need food and I also want to get you something you like instead of apples which you don't like.

((He's trying really hard to get on her good side huh.))

*sigh* "Do as you like. It's your decicion not mine..." Laebenal says to Dark.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (He leaves the cave and heads out into the forest which after a little ways out he senses a deer walking up to his location, which he quickly digs a pitfall trap and hides up in a tree.

The deer falls into the trap which Dark Hooves approaches the hole with his sword drawn, he hesitates for a moment feeling bad about the deer. After that he silences the deer with his sword and pulls it out of the hole with his magic then starts walking back to the cave. After 10 minutes he arrives at the cave and rests the deer in front of Laebenal.

Dark Hooves: (Sadly) It wasn't easy to kill a perectly healthy deer, but you need food like this so you'll have energy to start moving aorund once you heal up.

Laebenal sighs and starts to eat. "You really killed an innocent deer?" Pale Flare says to Dark quietly.

(( It could talk!!  D: Also, I want to hop back in. ))

Dark Hooves: Yes, but it wasn't easy. Zecora has taught me many things, most important of which is the need to survive. Whether it is my own survival or somepony elses.

Laebenal shakes her head and continues eating. "But why deer? There are lots of smaller critters here." Pale Flare says to Dark quietly.

Dark Hooves: Well, pitfall traps only work on larger animals and that's the only way I know how. I'm not heartless, it was very hard for me to do this, but Laebenal needs food which this will last for a few meals.

"I understand that you don't want her to starve, but... Yeah..." Pale Flare says to Dark.

Dark Hooves: How is the food Laebenal?

"Meat is meat..." Laebenal says to Dark.

Dark Hooves: Hopefully you get back on your hooves soon and be able to hunt on your own.

(( Okay, then! ))
They can hear light footsteps nearby, maybe hoofsteps. They're a bit hushed, though, due to them being beneath the earth.

Laebenal stops eating and listens. "You hear that?" She asks. "Yes, but what is it?" Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: (Sensing the mana) I know this mana.

The silhouette of a raccoon can be seen at the mouth of the cave... But that's not it.

Dark Hooves: (Still sensing the mana) (Thinking) You should just come on out.

(( Aquae Petra, or just Aqua. ))
The signature is now walking away, probably the pony is hidden. The raccoon, upon hearing the voice, skitters out of the cave.

Dark Hooves jumps over Laebenal then runs out of the cave and starts chasing the pony.

There are a few raccoons here and there... But the pony, however, is not in sight. The unicorn went northwards, out of sight. She's still close, though.

Dark Hooves follows the mana source and gets to the area where the unicorn stopped at. He starts to search the area thoroughly with his magic sense.

There was a trail in front of him. The same unicorn was trotting along it, a healthy looking raccoon at her side. She was looking for something.

Dark Hooves runs up to the unicorn which he thinks that she is the culprit and tackles her pinning her down with his hooves.

Dark Hooves: Got you.

Aqua holds her hooves up. At a loss of words, she manages to barely speak. "W-What do you want from me?"

Dark Hooves: (Aggressively) What do you have to do with the timberwolves that attacked Ponyville?

"Nothing? Can you get off of me now?" From the look in her eyes, she was blind. Aqua didn't really feel comfortable like this, so she tried to move her hooves to het free.

Dark Hooves: (Gets off of her) Sorry about that, I'm just on edge about the timberwolves situation. What are you doing out here?

"I'm trying to find my cat." The unicorn slowly gets back into her hooves, brushing herself off.

Dark Hooves: Well myself and a few others were looking for the culprit of the timberwolf attack which happens to be a changeling. So it will be disguised as anypony it sees. Be on your guard.

"Ohh, that explains a bit." Aqua took a breath, now fully recovered.

Dark Hooves: Where are my manners? My name is Dark Hooves, nice to meet you.

"Aquae Petra, or just Aqua. Pleasure to meet you too." She holds out her hoof for a hoof shake.

Dark Hooves: (gives her a hoofshake) I hope I didn't hurt you any.

"Oh, no, I'm fine. I don't bruise easy, either.."

Dark Hooves: What does your cat look like?

"Im very sure it's colored in a bold calico pattern. I can't say much else, though."

Dark Hooves: Well, I'm not sure where your cat is at. We had a pretty bad storm last night, which we took shelther in a nearby cave.

Aqua nods, with a tad of disappointment on her face. "I see... If you do find her, just tell me. I'll be around the forest."

Dark Hooves: Will do.

Runs through panting heavily
"Excuse me i..i.i"*Cough Cough cough*

Dark Hooves: Watch it, you nearly trampled us.

"Im sorry I just...Have you seen her she flew off and i cant find her" He looks around frantically

Dark Hooves: Her, who?

"my daughter Lightning runner shes about 3 ft, yellow fur, white mane. Please tell me you've seen her"

Dark Hooves: Sorry I can't say I have, I have an injured friend which I had left in a nearby cave. I came out here because I thought I had found the culprit to the timberwolf attack, which is a changeling disguised as a unicorn. I'll help you, but first you should follow me to the cave. (starts walking to the cave)

impatiently follows Dark Hooves to the cave

Aqua slowly walks off, going along the path. The forest was a bit friendlier in the day time.

They arrive at the cave.

Dark Hooves: Please wait here for a moment. (Walks inside the cave) Old One Eye I hope you have room for 2 more, I found Aqua and another pony out here. (Looks to Farsight) We have another mission besides the timberwolf problem. Aqua has lost track of her cat which is a bold calico pattern and the stallion outside is looking for his daughter Lightning Runner which she's 3 feet tall with a yellow coat and white mane.

umm yes the caer is big but i need do more food, we have mushroom soup with seaweed, emeralds, and grilled fish

Dark Hooves: Thanks OOE. (faces Aqua and the stallion) You two may come on in.

SS: Welcome back Dark, who are your guests?

The impatient stallion eagerly walks in "Ok we're here. Now what?" 

Aqua was the first to head into the cave. She sniffed around, and stopped in her own tracks.

"Oh gods... What's that smell...? Is that..." She took a step forward, towards Laebenal.

Dark Hooves: This is Aqua and (taps his shoulder) what's your name sir?

"I am Gentlecolt Death"

Laebenal looks at the newcomers. "Did you found the one that made the noise?" She asks from Dark.

"Noise? What kind of noise?" he asks looking desperate

Dark Hooves: I thought I did, but all I found is Aqua and Gentlecolt Death.

SS: Now that you mention it, I think I heard somepony saying something just before we entered in the cave.

a thunderous boom echoes through the cave
"did anypony else hear that"

"What was that?" Pale Flare asks.

"it sounded like thunder...lightning runner?" he runs over to the entrance but sees nothing and slowly trots back in disapointment with his head down

the food is ready all to the table come on  

"I ate already..." Laebenal says still lying next to the corpse of the deer.

"I don't need to eat"

Aqua can smell the late deer, and her face turns to horror. "Did... Is... That... A deer?"

Dark Hooves: Alright OOE. (sits at the table)

SS: Thank you (sits at the table)

The stallion walks to the cave entrance and stares out looking for any sign of his daughter

"It was a deer... Now it's Laebenal's meal for a few days..." Pale Flare says and looks at the soup. "I think that I go get my own food..." He says and walks out from the cave.

Her breath was taken away from sheer horror. "That's... Cannibalism..." She was good friends with some deer out in Whitetail, so this was a hit to her mind.

"Don't blame me. Dark killed this one..." Laebenal says quietly. Pale Flare is out near the cave looking for something to eat.

He starts to eat slowley

Aqua had met Laebenal before, and was aware of her being a 'nightmare'. She turned her head to Dark, or at least where she thought he was. "Why would you kill a deer..."

SS: Well, in meat there are proteins and vitamins that in vegetables are not present, also the essential fatty acids such as conjugated linoleic acid and vaccenic acid linked to it for a proper diet for carnivores and omnivores.

"That-That's practically cannibalism! That's like eating a pony, or a horse for gods' sake!" She took a step back to the mouth of the cave, not wanting to linger any longer.

"you shouldn't be so hard on Dark. Yes it's a bit wrong and technically cannibalistic but out here you don't have much of a choice" he said between sips

"Oh, yes you have a choice. There's berries, fish, plants; grass even! It's coldblooded murder!" Aqua was aware that practically  no pony ate grass, but it still was edible.

SS: Even mushrooms in order to survive must feed from other plants.

Laebenal sighs and watches the ponies arguing about the deer.

"You do have a point but different ponies have different opinions. So how about you 2 just agree to disagree"

(( Into Nightmares. ))
"Would you eat your best friend when there is plenty of food around?" She ignored him, not wanting to make a modus vivendi.

"Only if he were dead and I had no other choice"
he looks up at her
"Im sorry if you don't agree with my methods but it's just the way I grew up"

SS: Well, I can survive only with vegetables but I necessitate the various elements present in the meat for a proper functioning of my body. In addition, I grew up eating meat for which a sudden change in my diet would affect my health.

"I grew up in a basement and ill i could eat were whatever they threw down to me. Dead ponies were an occasional thing"

Her face was now one of disgust. "You know, there are ra-" She quickly remembers something. "-ts, beavers, all of the sorts!" Aqua took a few more steps back towards the mouth of the cave.

"not when your chained to wall in the basement of your own home there isn't...well there were a few mice but i only managed to catch 7  in my many years down there" He continued to eat his soup

"You know what, goodbye." Aqua leaves the cave by backtracking, disappearing into the forest.

"I prefer small critters but Dark didn't listen enough..." Laebenal says quietly. Pale Flare is at the forest eating a fruit and sees Aqua. "Leaving already?" He asks from her.

"Yeah.... Yeah.." Aqua trots out of sight, and is now gone.

Pale Flare comes back to the cave. "Do you know why she left so quickly?" He asks.

SS: She felt insulted by the fact that we eat meat.

finishes off the last of his soup and rises from the table
"that was a lovely meal. thank you again, and please keep an eye out for my little filly. If anypony is to see a bolt of lightning please let me know ill be on the top of the cave"
his wings raise and he flys to the top of the cave

"You all eat meat? Why?" Pale Flare says and sighs. "I would eat meat too if I wouldn't have to live my whole life with ponies..." He says quietly.

SS: I eat meat only when my body needs it.

"And why doesn't my body need it?" Pale Flare asks from Silent.

SS: I do not know, maybe you have a different metabolism from mine.

"I think you have the different one... Most ponies are full herbivores and they don't need meat to survive." Pale Flare says and walks to Laebenal. "You all right?" He asks from her. "Yes, but I don't like having that pony eater here..." She says and points at Gentlecolt.

SS: Well you see Pale Flare, I don't usually eat meat, I assume integrators but they are quite expensive.

"but what you don't understand is that my story is different pale flare."

"Yes. I know... But you shouldn't tell about your past to everypony you meet." Pale Flare says.

"why not. The past is the past. It means nothing"

Dark Hooves: I don't eat meat. I pulled out some apples and ate them.

"And you think it's nothing to tell everypony that you have eaten ponies in your past?" Pale Flare asks.

SS: After hearing your story, you made me re-evaluate my childhood.

Dark Hooves: I assume he did so to survive.

SS: Yeah...(finishes the soup) Perfect, I lost my appetite.

Dark Hooves: Sorry SS. I didn't mean to make you lose your appetite.

SS: It wasn't your fault. Well, I might as well exercise on my techniques. I'll be outside if you need me.

Dark Hooves: Alright SS. I guess I'll join you, I want to try out some new magic.

"flare all I want is for you to understand. I don't do these things because I enjoy them but I have adapted to this way of living and it's become a difficult habit to break considering this was the only way I could stay alive for a very long time"

Dark Hooves walks outside then unsheathes his sword then attempt to focus his lightning magic on it, which the sword starts to resonate with his magic.

"I understand. But why? Why do you speak about it like it doesn't bother you?" Pale Flare asks. Laebenal tries to stand again now succeeding but she is shaking too badly to keep herself up and she lays down again.

Dark Hooves succeeds in enchenting his sword with lightning magic which arcs of electricity are visibly coming from the blade.

Dark Hooves: I did it. (laughs happily)

SS: Good for you (smiles)

Silent Shadow sits down and grabs the katana between the hooves and envelops his katana with the black aura.

SS: (focused) ...almost there...

Dark Hooves: What's that spell?

The aura surrounds the black katana extending the range of attack and sharpening the blade.

SS: Alright! The Dark Impulse works! (laughs triumphantly)

SS: Thanks (breaks the bond with the katana dissolving the aura that surrounds it) You know, I read about a technique in a book that allowed two ponies to unleash an awesome power...

Dark Hooves: Like when Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor defeated the changeling queen.

SS: Not exacly, this technique would allow two individuals to merge into one by multiplying their power.

Dark Hooves: Oh ok. Umm SS do you mind if I test my new spell out on you? I don't know what it would do to something and I don't want to blow up another boulder.

SS: Depends, what is the spell?

Dark Hooves: I've enchanted my sword with lightning magic and I would like to test it out.

SS: (questioning look) You want to electrocute me?

Dark Hooves: I think it may just stun you for a little bit, like when I cast my lightning magic at a creature.

SS: Uhm, as long as you won't kill me, I think it's ok. Just let me get ready (puts down his katana and prepares mentally) Ok, let's do this.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (gently touches his shoulder with the side of the blade which stuns him which makes him go stiff as a board)

Silent Shadow falls to the ground for the confusion making a small wooden box come out of his saddlebag ((yep, he was still wearing that))

Dark Hooves releases the spell and picks up SS.

Dark Hooves: You alright bud? (looks at the wooden box) What's that?

SS: Yes, yes, I'm fine. (pic up the wooden box) ...That's the only memory... of my family...

Dark Hooves: Is there a picture of them inside the box?

SS: No, it's a music, this box is a music box...

Dark Hooves: Oh ok. Well don't worry I won't be snooping into your personal belongings.

SS: Uhm... (puts the music box back in the saddlebag)

"I understand how you feel, but still. Ponies don't like if you tell them that you ate ponies in the past." Pale Flare says.

"why should I care. My job isn't to worry about other ponies feelings. "

*sigh* You don't understand. Someponies might think you are some sort of freak and do the same that they did to Laebenal... Or even worse..." Pale Flare says and takes a look on Laebenal who looks at them silently.

Dark Hooves: Hey SS, cheer up some. You aren't responsible for anything ID might have done in the past. (Pats his back)

"maybe I am a freak. Maybe I'm a monster. Maybe I'm a rat in a cage." he looks over at laebenal "like I said before. Just agree to disagree...whats wrong with your friend?"

"Okay then. Don't say that I didn't warn you when you get into trouble. Why should I tell a stranger what happened to her?" Pale Flare says and walks to Laebenal and lies down next to her.

"I may be able to help that's why. when you've lived for over 300 years you learn a few things. Especially when you've visited the land of the dead more times than any living creature is ment to"

"300 years is nothing. My friend told me about a pony that is over 600 years old." Laebenal says.

"congratulations do they have 8 other appendages as well" he asked sarcastically "look I'm a master of death ok. I'm a reaper...well half reaper but that's beside the point. I had alot of time to study lethal methods and may be able to help you"

SS: Uhm, who's Id?

Dark Hooves: I don't know, but I did sense another will inside of you when you held up the music box.

"Oh great. Another crazy killer..." Pale Flare says. "You don't have to believe but they really had some hard time to imprison him." Laebenal says.

SS: Really? That's strange,(mumbles) but that would explain a few things.

Dark Hooves: I also got a strong surge of mana from him, which has me worried.

SS: What kind of mana? Is he dangerous?

Dark Hooves: I sensed darkness, but it aso felt like your mana too. So maybe it's a part of you or something.

"enough games ok do you want help or not cause I do have other things I could be doing"

SS: I think that as long as I have control of my body, we will not have to worry about him.

Dark Hooves: I hope so. (Walks inside the cave and sits down near Laebenal) Everything alright?

"Like you could help. You said you are a reaper not a healer." Laebenal says. "If you really have other things to do, why are you still here?" Pale Flare asks from him.

Dark Hooves: (casts the zip your lips spell on GC Death, Laebenal, and Pale Flare) Enough arguing, you three are not foals. So stop acting like them.

The reaper grunts in anger

Pale Flare starts to make fireballs around him and he is looking at Dark angrily. Laebenal is trying to stop him but in her weak condition she couldn't do anything to stop him.

Dark Hooves: Nigred Pyraga. (carrying a larger fireball in front of him) You aren't the only one with fire magic, now stand down.

The reaper pulls a scythe from thin air and makes a threatening stance at flare

Pale Flare drains the power from Dark's fireball and makes protective barrier around himself to prevent Gentlecolt from harming him with his scythe.

Dark Hooves uses his levitation magic to take the scythe from GC Death and lays it by OOE.

Dark Hooves: Please hang on to this for me. (turns to Pale Flare) Nigred Glacaga. (Carrying a large chunk of ice in front of him)

The barrier prevents the chunk of ice to harm Pale Flare. Laebenal looks at Dark and is trying to show him that he should remove the spell from their mouths by waving her hooves in front of her mouth.

Dark Hooves releases the spell.

Dark Hooves: Sorry I was just trying to stop the arguing.

"t t t testing. Ok were good. Quick question though. Why are we even fighting?"

Dark Hooves: You tell me. I just came inside to rest and I found the three of you arguing.

Pale Flare removes the barrier and walks towards Dark. "I have to say one thing to you. If you don't let us speak the things through you should prepare for a fight." He says to Dark angrily. "Yes. That's one thing you don't want to see." Laebenal says and sighs.

Dark Hooves: Then you'll awaken my wrath and pay for it.

"all I wanted was to help your friend. I figured since I'm a guest here I might as well do something useful"

Pale Flare laughs and says: "That would help you to survive. I know powerful magic that I can't yet control." Laebenal is lying on her back watching up. "I feel so useless..." She says.

Dark Hooves: I understand Mr. Death, but arguing isn't the way to go about it. (turns to Pale Flare) Trust me you wouldn't like me when I get angry.

"now laebenal and I mean LAEBENAL" he said glancing at pale "would you like some help?"

"You are a reaper not a healer. You can't do a thing to help me." Laebenal says. "And the same goes with me." Pale Flare says to Dark not listening what Gentlecolt said.

Dark Hooves: Mr. Death, Laebenal is nowhere near death so please leave her be.

Silent Shadow, who's outside the cave, goes in search of herbs in the forest.

"as you wish" he steps away from the group an observes

Pale Flare starts to slowly calm down as the ponies are not paying attention towards him anymore.

Dark Hooves: Sorry about zipping your lips you three, I was trying to regain the peace between us.

"I don't blame you for your judgement you tried to keep the peace and no pony can blame you for that"

"Dark... Please. Let him calm down. I can't stop him in this condition." Laebenal says looking at Pale Flare who was looking a bit dizzy.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (he sits down away from Pale Flare) (thinking) Mental note watch out for Pale Flare's temper.

He walks up to pale and holds out a hoof "I'm sorry for disrespecting you. It was not my intention and we're all stressed out please forgive me"

Pale Flare walks around dizzy not noticing Gentlecolt and he trips over. "Ugh... Did my nightmare nature come up again?" He asks lying on the ground in an awkward position.

Dark Hooves walk over and picks him up.

Dark Hooves: Are you alright.

"I.." he scratches his head "I'm confused"

SS: Let's see... uhm... I think I got everything I need...

He put everything he got in the saddlebag and returns to the cave.

"Thanks Dark. And sorry for what I said. Living so long with ponies have done much good for me but also some bad." Pale Flare says and gets up.

"Split pearsonalities? No. Sometimes when I get angry my wild nightmare's nature shows up." Pale Flare says to Gentlecolt.

"oh...ok then. Well before anything else happens" he looks at dark "may I have my scythe back"

Silent Shadow enter the cave and take two stones, one with a conical bottom and a circular one with a hole in the middle. He puts a stick in the circular stone and puts what he had picked up earlier in the conical stone and begins to crush everything in improvised mortar, until he get a sort of green goo.

SS: (mumbles) This should do the trick... uhm...

Dark Hooves: Sure. (carefully brings his scythe back to him)

The second the scythe touches he reapers hoof it vanishes "that's much better"

"Umm... Silent. What is that?" Laebenal says looking at Silent knowing she's the patient here and it might be for her.

SS: Uhm? Oh! This should speed up your recovery, spreading this mixture on your skin will speed up the healing process.

"Okay..." Laebenal says a bit worried.

SS: (paying attention to the mixture) Something is bothering you?

"Well now that all of this conflict is out of the way, Ill be next to the entrance keeping an eye out" he walks over to the entrance and stares out into the open

"No. Everything's fine." Laebenal says.

((I'm off now))

SS: If you say so... uhm... the medicine will be ready soon...

Dark Hooves: I hope that the medicine you're making helps her heal up, because we need to get back to our mission.

SS: I hope it to (continues to prepare the medicine)

"what exactly is your mission"

Dark Hooves: A few days ago Ponyville was attacked by timberwolves which we are in the process of trying to find the culprit.

SS: (working on the mixture) Uhm... Something is still missing... Hey Dark, would you be so kind to go out and get me some water from the stream near here?

Dark Hooves: Sure thing buddy. (Walks outside and starts walking to the nearby stream)

Silent Shadow hums while preparing the mixture.

SS: (humming) Day to night, dark to light, fall the sand of time; let the years like the gears of a clock unwind. In your mind walk through time, back to better days, memories, like a dream, wash tears away. Like a star in the sky, darkness can't reach you, light the night, joy is light, till the new dawn... Cast away your old face, let go your spite,, with this mask I'll ask, to borrow your light...

Dark Hooves arrives at the stream and collects some water using his levitation spell and takes it back to the cave.

Dark Hooves: Here you are SS. (holds the water near him)

SS: Is more than enough, put a bit in the bowl here.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (puts half into the bowl, still carrying the other half with his magic)

SS: Thanks Dark (mixes the mixture) Perfect, it's ready.

((Now I have to wait for Laebenal))

SS: The medicine is ready.  Laebenal, will you allow me to spread it in your skin?

"How could I stop you?" Laebenal says and keeps lying on the ground on her back.

Dark Hooves: SS you may want Pale Flare to take care of her back end. It's just a thought, but you should respect her personal space.

SS: Uhm, yes, you're right. So Pale Flare would you help me?

"Sure." Pale Flare says.

SS: Okay, then I'll explain how. First, take a little of the mixture in the hooves, and then rubbed gently but firmly so that the mixture is homogeneously on the wounds. Got it?

"I think so." Pale Flare says and takes a little of the mixture.

SS: I think that eating this may make stomach ache (turn attention to Laebenal and Pale Flare) Shall we start? I warn you, it will burn a little.

Dark Hooves: I hope that doesn't hurt Laebenal too much.

The flesh around his eyes went red and tears began to slowley dribble down "where are you?" he muttered to himself

"What can I do to not let you do it if I can't even stand correctly yet..." Laebenal says and Pale Flare walks next to her. "Don't worry. This might burn a little but it should make you recorer faster." Pale Flare says and starts to rub the mixture on Laebenal's wounds.

Dark Hooves: GC Death are you alright?

"no. My little Girl is out there somewhere and i can't do anything to help her"

SS: Yes Pale Flare, your doing right. As soon as you're done, I'll put some bandages on the wounds. In this way the mixture will remain in position and also we will have the certainty that the wounds will not open again. Once we're done the wounds will be healed pretty much in a day.

((the wounds were already bandaged but I forgot to say that he removed them...))

Pale Flare has now rubbed the mixture at almost half of Laebenal's wounds. He nods at Silent and continues.

((Well, then he will put some new ones lol))

Silent Shadow takes some clean bandages from his saddlebag.

"I'm almost done." Pale Flare says and starts to put the mixture on the last wounds.

SS: You're doing qiute good Pale Flare. Probably she will be healed sooner than expected.

"Yes, I know something about healing and healing magic. But trust me, you don't want me to use my healing magic on you." Pale Flare says and covers the last wound with the mixture. "If I could do that." He thinks. "You said this was going to burn. Well, I'm not feeling anything yet..." Laebenal says.

SS: Could be the fact that you are a nightmare, your body will probably be more resistant to burning feeling than other ponies.

"I think it's just building up. I started to feel some tingling." Laebenal says.

SS: It means that it is working. However, it will not last long. Once your body gets used to that feeling, you will not feel any tingling or burning sensation.

"Okay. Then we only need to wait." Laebenal says.

SS: Exacly. Now the bandages must be put on the wounds. Pale Flare, would you do that? (hands the bandages)

"Sure." Pale Flare says and picks the bandages. He starts to bandage Laebenal's wound.

Silent Shadow is looking for something in the bag.

SS: Where did I put it, I'm sure I put it here...

"What did you lose now?" Pale Flare asks while bandaging the rest of Laebenal's wounds.

SS: A bottle of... uhm... ahah! Here it is! (shows a little pill bottle) These are energizing pills, once you have healed these you will restore Laebenal energies.

"You have brought some strange things with you." Pale Flare says not turning from Laebenal. "I'm starting to hate this..." Laebenal says and sighs.

SS: These are just my survival resources, I've brought anything that might be useful in any case. Painkillers, bandages, some rations, a potion to repair bones and so on.

"And where were you going before that timberwolf attack as we didn't prepare at all before heading here?" Pale Flare asks and turns to Silent as he had finished bandaging Laebenal's wounds.

SS: I had to investigate a thing and I was about to move when the timberwolves attacked. So I decided to delay my investigation and take care of the timberwolves.

"Okay, if you want you can tell more about your investigation but you don't have to if you don't want to." Pale Flare says and sits down next to Laebenal. "This tingling is extremely annoying..." Laebenal says.

SS: It's an investigation away from royal duties, has to do with my past. (turns attention to Laebenal) I know it's annoying, please resist.

"Royal duties? You have something to do with royalties?" Pale Flare asks surprised. "Maybe I just eat to forget the tingling..." Laebenal says and starts to eat the deer still next to her.

SS: I'm one of Princess Luna's personal guards. Normally my tasks are going around the world and take care of some business. However, recently there has been a decline of the missions, so I had plenty of time to investigate my past.

"Okay. Hmm... What if she needs you when you are still here?" Pale Flare asks.

SS: There are many other guards qualify for any possibility. I also asked her permission before I can put in this research, of course, minus a few details. Moreover, if for any eventuality he needs my assistence, she just need to call me.

"Yes, but currently you aren't working on your research. You are here helping solve a trouble with timberwolves." Pale Flare says.

SS: The duty knows no rest. Plus, I swore that I would do everything in my power to protect Equestria, no matter what, when or how.

((I'm going off for a little while))

"You live your life and we live our own. Protecting this land at all costs makes also bad things to happen, not only good." Pale Flare says.

((okay, but I might leave soon too and like I  said before I am unable to post for a week so, see you then))

SS: You may be right, but this is the path that I have chosen and which I will follow until I shall have the reason.

Dark Hooves: Although I'm not a royal guard, It makes sense to me to want to protect your loved ones and friends.

SS: In fact, that's why I accepted the request of the Princess and I became a guard.

Dark Hooves: Well, there isn't much we can do until Laebenal heals up. I wish I knew healing magic, I could heal her in the matter of seconds.

"But you don't. There is not much I can do before I recover but that doesn't mean that you can't leave." Laebenal says.

SS: Do not worry, we'll not leave without you.

*sigh* "Then we need to wait..." Laebenal says.

SS: Rest, at the moment your recovery is the primary objective.

Laebenal lays her head down and closes her eyes. "Yeah... She doesn't fully trust you yet." Pale Flare says quietly.

SS: I don't care if she trust me or not. The only thing I care is everypony safety.

Dark Hooves: Same here.

"Then you should care about her trust on you. Well, I'll be back soon." Pale Flare says and walks out of the cave.

Dark Hooves: (turns to SS) Did we say anything wrong?

SS: (shrugs) I have no idea.

Laebenal opens her other eye and takes a look on Dark and Silent. Then she closes her eye again and starts to sleep.

Pale Flare is walking in the forest outside the cave thinking. "This is much harder than I thought. If she doesn't start to make friends she will be too dangerous to live close to ponies." He sighs and sits down next to a tree. "If changing one is this hard changing a whole herd is going to be nearly impossible. And now I am showing up the bad nature of nightmares too..."

Dark Hooves: I noticed that Pale Flare had a worried look on his face when he left the cave.

SS: Yeah, I had noticed that too, but I thought it was just my impression. Maybe he's just a bit worried about Laebenal.

Dark Hooves: Yeah, I guess I should go check on him. (starts walking to the exit of the cave)

SS: I will stay here with Laebenal. I do not want anything bad happen to her again.

Dark Hooves: Good idea SS. (exits the cave and starts searching for Pale Flare's mana signature) There!

He starts running to where he sensed Pale Flare's mana.

Silent Shadow let out a sigh and turned his face toward the ceiling of the cave, thoughtfully.

"Something is coming." Pale Flare thought when he heard Dark and he stood up ready to fight.

Dark Hooves: What is coming?

((again, he was thinking and Dark wasn't there yet but okay...))

"Oh, it was only you." Pale Flare says to Dark and calms down.

((sorry that's my bad I forgot to put he walks up to Pale Flare))

Dark Hooves: Is everything alright, I saw that you had a worried look on your face when you left the cave.

"Yes, everything's fine. I think we should rest and see if we can leave tomorrow." Pal Flare says and starts walking back to the cave.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (starts walking alongside him) I wonder what Laebenal thinks of me and Silent Shadow.

"I'm not she so I don't know for sure but I know that she doesn't fully trust you yet." Pale Flare says and continues: "but she does trust you more than other ponies excluding me."

Dark Hooves: Really? That's a surprise. I guess it's because I show her respect or something.

"Meh. It is about time for her to make some friends." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: Although I don't know anything about the hardships she's may have had to deal with, she deserves to be treated just like every other pony in Equestria.

"Yes, but nowadays she is the one that gets her into trouble. Other ponies are acting friendlier towards her now when she is with me but she acts the same as before." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: There still could be something bothering her. We'll only know if she decides to talk about it.

"It's all up to her." Pale Flare says and shakes his head.

Dark Hooves: Looks like we're back. (walks through the entrance and sits down close to Laebenal, but not close enough to croud her)

Pale Flare walks next to Laebenal and sits down.

((Is Laebenal awake?))

((sleeping))

Dark Hooves walks over to Laebenal and starts gently rubbing her back.

Dark Hooves: (thinking) I hope she starts feeling better soon.

"Then you shouldn't rub her wounds." Pale Flare says pointing at the bandaged wounds on Laebenal's back.

Dark Hooves: I'm avoiding them, but yeah I should leave her be. (stops rubbing her back)

"I think this will go faster if we all go to sleep like Laebenal." Pale Flare says and lies down.

Dark Hooves: You're right. (lies down not too far from Laebenal and rests his head against the wall)

SS: Well, good night. (lies down and closes his eyes)

Pale Flare closes his eyes and starts to sleep.

Dark Hooves wakes up after a few hours of sleeping and looks over to Laebenal.

Dark Hooves: (sighs) (thinking) I'm worried about her, she needs to setlle down and trust ponies other than me.

Laebenal is sleeping calmly but Pale Flare seems to be dreaming about something unpleasant.

Silent Shadow is shaking in his sleep as if he was having a nightmare.

In his dream he sees a crimson furred pegasus is destroying a village holding a red katana and he's laughing madly the spectacle of destruction that he has caused.

Dark Hooves notices that Silent Shadow is shaking and he gets up and walks over to him then starts shaking him hoping to wake him up.

In his dream, the pony continues to cause destruction, when it notices a mare who stumbles and is no longer able to stand. He notices it and comes up to her slowly with the katana that rubs on the ground. When he reaches the satisfied look of the terrified face of the mare that begs to be killed, but of course, he ignores her or better he feels more fulfilled. He raises his katana to prepare his attack, but just before launching the attack he suddenly turns toward the viewer, showing his brith yellow eyes and a mad grin. And the nightmare ends.

Silent Shadow suddenly opens his eyes for a moment shone with a light yellow color and then soon returned to normal. He gets up, gasping.

Dark Hooves: (quietly not to disturb the others) Are you alright bud?

SS: (catching his breath) Yeah... It just was that dream again...

Dark Hooves: (quietly) Shhh. You don't want to disturb Laebenal.

SS: (quietly) I'm sorry, I did not mean to disturb them...

Dark Hooves falls asleep and wakes up the next morning with the sun shining on his face.

Dark Hooves: (thinking) I hope she slept well.

SS: (quietly) Good morning Dark, did you slept well?

Dark Hooves: (quietly) Yes I did, I just hope Laebenal slept well.

SS: (quietly) I hope that too (yawns)

Dark Hooves: (quietly) I guess I'll go get some berries for us. (starts walking to the exits of the cave careful not to step on anypony)

SS: (quietly) Ok, be careful out there.

Dark Hooves: (quietly) I will be. (exits the cave and starts searching for bushes full of berries)

Pale Flare stands up rubbing his head. "Ughh... I had a terriblre nightmare last night." He says and takes a look on Laebenal who is still sleeping. "Atleast she seems to sleep well."

SS: (yawning) Good morning Pale.

Dark Hooves finds a few bushes and picks the berries off of them with his magic then starts walking back to the cave.

"Morning, Silent. Did you sleep well?" Pale Flare asks from Silent.

SS: Not really, I had a nightmare too.

"Oh. I hope it wasn't too bad." Pale Flare says.

SS: Actually, it was, but I continue to have these nightmares for such a long time that now I've got used to them.

"Ah. Okay." Pale Flare says. Laebenal opens one of her eyes. "Is it morning already?" She says and opens the other eye too.

Dark Hooves enters the cave and sets the berries onto the floor out of the way.

Dark Hooves: Good morning Laebenal, How are you feeling? I've got breakfast for everypony. (points at the assorted berries)

SS: (taking some berries) Good morning Leabenal, how are your wounds?

Pale Flare picks some of the berries and starts to eat them.
Laebenal stands up and tries to walk. "It still hurts a bit but I'm okay." She says and walks few steps.

Dark Hooves: You're walking that's good, just don't overdo it. (takes some of the berries from the pile and starts eating)

SS: (eating some berries) Dark's right, be careful

"Fine..." Laebenal says and sits down and starts to eat the almost fully eaten deer.

Dark Hooves eats his fill.

Dark Hooves: You sound a little annoyed, is everything alright?

Laebenal turns her head and looks at Dark with a hanging piece of meat in her mouth.

Dark Hooves: I guess I'll give you a moment to finish eating.

Laebenal turns back and continues eating.
"Yeah... She is still bothered that we are helping you." Pale Flare whispers to Dark.

Dark Hooves: (whispering) Is that really such a problem for her?

"Well, she was banished from her herd and those 7 years she spent wandering around didn't help her to regain trust on ponies. She got captured 3 times on the first year." Pale Flare whispers to Dark.

SS: (mumbling quitly) If I had a bit for everypony who chased me, or wanted my head...

Dark Hooves: (quietly) That does explain things. Such a shame.

"Yeah..." Pale Flare says quietly.
Laebenal finishes eating and turns to the others. "Are we going to hide in this cave any longer?" She asks.

Dark Hooves: We weren't hiding, we are waiting until you can walk under your own strength

"And for that we needed a cave to hide in so the timberwolves couldn't find us..." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: I guess so.

Pale Flare finishes his berries and asks from Laebenal: "So, you can walk but it hurts?"
"Yes." Laebenal says to him.

Dark Hooves: You may walk around for a bit just take it slowly.

"I know that..." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: Need some help getting up? (walks over and holds out his hoof)

"If I'm sitting on the ground does that mean that I can't get up?" Laebenal says and looks at Dark.

Dark Hooves: Alright, I guess later then.

"When are we planning to leave?" Pale Flare asks.

Dark Hooves: When Laebenal is able to walk using her own strength.

"Yes but around what time?" Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: That's up to Laebenal to decide. I can't force her to do anything.

"And if you ask her we would leave right away..." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: She needs to though, otherwise her muscles will grow weaker from not being used.

"After a couple of days? I don't think so." Pale Flare says.
Laebenal stands up and takes a close look on her wings. "I won't be able to fly for a couple of more days..." She thinks.

Dark Hooves: Can you at least move you wings Laebenal?

Laebenal turns her head and sees Dark looking at her. "Why should you care for that?" She says.

Dark Hooves: Please just give it a try.

Laebenal sighs and opens her wings.

Dark Hooves: Any pain or stiffness?

"Not when only holding them out." Laebenal says and closes her wings.

Dark Hooves: Well, just do basic movements and they should get back to normal.

"Like I wouldn't survive without wings..." Laebenal says and walks a bit away.

Dark Hooves: (whipsers to Pale Flare) Did I do or say something wrong?

"No, but she doesn't use her wings alot." Pale Flare says quietly.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) I see. Such a waste of the muscles that control them.

"Well, as much as she told me about her past I understood that flying was partial reason for her getting banished." Pale Flare whispers to Dark.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) There isn't anything wrong with flying is there?

"Now? Or among nightmares?" Pale Flare whispers.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) Among nightmares.

"I don't know much about nightmares but I do know that having wings is really rare." Pale Flare whispers.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) It shouldn't matter to the others that Laebenal has wings, it just means she has a gift.

"And they made her a scout when she was only a little filly." Pale Flare whispers and shakes his head. "It's hard to understand but nightmares are meant to be warriors. Physically Laebenal and I are too weak to live in a such herd. That's why we try to find them and change their minds."

Dark Hooves: (whispers) I see, that explains a lot. Well if you need help with that we'll gladly help you.

"It would help a lot if we knew where to look for information about that islands location..." Pale Flare whispers.

SS: (whispers) I can try to find some information on that, I have access to a special sector of Canterlot library which is usually prohibited to unauthorized ponies.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) You hear that Pale Flare, SS has something that might help you.

"I don't know if there is some information. I tried to ask Twilight but she didn't know anything and found nothing from her books. Of course this library is bigger and who knows..." Pale Flare whispers. "But if you are going to look there be careful. You might get into trouble."

SS: (whispers) I'll be fine, I go there once in a while when I need info for my missions. I already saw one that talks about that island, but the position was not mentioned.

"Yes, but as I said before nightmares are warriors. If somepony is trying to find where they live she or he might be got misunderstood and arrested." Pale Flare whispers.

SS: (whispers) I will be carefull then.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) I would like to see what they are capable of with my own eyes, being that I'm a warrior as well. How do they treat other warriors?

"But don't be too careful. That looks suspicious." Pale Flare whispers. "And Dark, if you really want to see you can help us finding it."

Dark Hooves: (whispers) I'll gladly help you once we're finished with our mission.

"That's nice to hear but remember, when we get to that island let us do the talking." Pale Flare whispers.
Laebenal has already been staring at them for a while from the shadows of the cave.

Dark Hooves: (whispers) Of course. (looks around) Where's Laebenal?

"She's at there looking at us." Pale Flare says quietly and points towards Laebenal who sits down.

SS: (whispers) I guess she's wondering what we're talking about...

"Hehe, yeah... By the way have anypony seen that reaper?" Pale Flare says looking around.

Two ponies are heard off in the distance. Your a reaper what are you afraid of
I'm only half reaper therefore I can still feel pain and die. I may be able to regenerate but its still a difficult process

Dark Hooves: You need something Laebenal?

Laebenal is listening carefully and doesn't notice Dark.

Dark Hooves lies down then taps the wall of the cave with his hoof.

"I heard something" Laebenal says and continues listening.

Dark Hooves: Sorry, I'll stop.

"It's coming outside the cave." Laebenal says and walks a bit closer the cave entrance.

SS: What kind of noise are you hearing?

"It sounded something like somepony was speaking there." Laebenal says.

Dark Hooves: I guess we should check it out.

"Let's go then." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: Alright. (Heads out of the cave.)

Pale Flare follows staying close to Laebenal incase she would need help.

Silent Shadow follows them.

Dark Hooves: I hope we find the culprit and put an end to this.

"Yeah." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves senses a source of mana ahead of them.

Dark Hooves: Straight ahead half mile out. There is something out there.

"Then let's go!" Pale Flare says. "I wonder where that reaper went." He thinks.

Dark Hooves: Can you run Laebenal?

"Why couldn't I?" Laebenal asks.

Dark Hooves: Just making sure. (starts running)

Silent follows them

Dark Hooves sees a figure in the distance.

Dark Hooves: I see something.

"What is it?" Pale Flare asks.

They all reach the location and find a pony with 12 timberwolves doing her bidding.

((she's the changeling responsible for the timberwolves attacking))

Dark Hooves senses her mana and detects the same mana found on the timberwolf he studied. He draws his sword.

"Dark, it was her who caused all this?" Silent whispered to Dark

Dark Hooves: (whispers) Yes.

"Are we going to charge or do we plan strategy?" Pale Flare says quietly.

Dark Hooves: Let's plan a strategy.

"What do you have in mind, attack from several fronts in order to cut them to escape?" Silent whispered

Pale Flare listens quietly and Laebenal watches the timberwolves.

Dark Hooves: (whispering) Yeah, attack from multiple directions so they can't escape. (enchants his weapon and the others weapons that have them)

"Good, everypony put yourself in position, this is going to be a good battle" Silent whispered

"Where exactly do we go?" Pale Flare asks quietly.

"We need to surround them, we use the forest to move without noticing and position in the four cardinal points" Silent whispered

"Okay." Pale Flare says and starts to walk to the other side of the timberwolves. Laebenal starts to walk to the other side of the timberwolves. "Who goes behind them?" She asks quietly.

Dark Hooves covers the rear flank.

Silent positioned on the remaining area.

Dark Hooves gives the signal to start which he cast firaga on one and cuts the other in half. They both burn to a crisp. He charges at the Changeling.

"This is going to be so much fun" Silent charges to the timberwolves with the flaming katana as his eyes starts to glow red

Pale Flare joins the fight and blasts a timberwolf into pieces with fire blast. Laebenal stays hidden to prevent them from escaping.

Silent slashes to timberwolves with the katana, reducing them to ashes.

Dark Hooves manages to cut the changeling's face with his sword which anger her and she pushes him away with her magic.

Dark Hooves: (thinking) I should have known not to attack the changeling head on.

Bad Harmony notices the fight and figured it would help as a good stress relief. He dove at a timberwolf and yanked a giant peice of log out of its neck causing it to collapse

The timberwolf reforms it's body and starts to attack Harmony.

Dark Hooves: (recovers from being pushed away) Nigred Pyraga.

The timberwolf is reduced to ashes.

Dark Hooves: Only fire can destroy them permanently. (@ Harmony)

I don't care, just ripping them to pieces is good enough for me, let them keep coming

Silent continues to attack the timberwolves full of anger and his eyes glow red even more.

Pale Flare burns down some more timberwolves with his spells.

((leaves 5 ))

Dark Hooves charges at the timberwolves cutting two more of them down and reducing them to ashes.

"They are not going to run away." Laebenal thinks and pounces on one of the timberwolves.

Dark Hooves: They are protecting the changeling. Brush them aside quickly.

Silent starts to growl as he reduce to ashes two more timberwolves

"So easy to fight against wood." Pale Flare says.

Dark Hooves: (gets next to SS) Keep you're cool buddy and stay focused.

Bad Harmony jumps on a timberwolf and a strange mist emits from him turning the timber wolf grey and making its hostility rise as it lashes out at him Yeah! That's what I'm talkin about he pulls out a chunk of it's spine and smashes it against the timberwolfs head making it shake until Bad Harminy falls off and lands just a few feet away

Dark Hooves burns the last 2 with his fire magic and turns his sights on the changeling.

Pale Flare casts out few fireballs that starts to float around him and he walks closer to the changeling.
Laebenal crushes the timberwolf she pounced on into pieces and comes closer too.

((Are you talking to me Dark?))

Silent continues to growl at the timberwolves "These vermins, attacked ponyville and hurt Laebenal, they need to pay!"

Bad Harmony pulls himself up and sees the timberwolf leap at him so he flies up and let's it smash against a tree You clutz

Dark Hooves gets behind the changeling and puts her into a full nelson hold.

Dark Hooves: You are to face the consequences of your crimes against Equestria.

Changeling:......................

Silent reduced another timberwolf to ashes as he grins a bit.

The two nightmares are watching carefully at Dark and the changeling.

"Sure" Pale Flare says and extinguishes his fireballs.

Silent calms down and make the katana return to the dagger form "Yeah, lets go.."

Dark Hooves starts walking while carrying the changeling with his magic.

Silent Shadow follows him as he wonders who was that changeling and what she wanted.

"Hey Dark, do you mind if I try to get him to talk" Silent laughed madly after he said that.

Dark Hooves: Sure thing bud. (looks at the changeling) You're in for it now.

"Well, well ,well, what do we have here. It's a changeling that's what. So do you wanna talk or do I need to use the hard way?"

"I was hoping for that answer." Silent unleashed his katana "Dark, would you be so kind to enchant my katana with thunder power?"

((He's going to use it on a boulder))

Dark Hooves: Sure. (enchants his weapon with lightning magic)

"Good, now my friend, watch closely" Silent moves to a nearby boulder and stabs it with the lightning enchanted katana. The electricity is propagated all over the boulder until it is pulverized "Now try to think that the boulder was you"

Changeling:........Alright, I will talk.

"Wonderful" he puts away the katana "So, who are you? and what are you doing here?"

Changeling: I have no name, Her Royal Highness only calls me grunt. I was following orders given to me personally by Her Royal Highness. (she cowers in fear) I've said too much now she will certainly punish me for this.

"Hey Dark, looks like our friend here wants to feel the same as that boulder" Silent said grinning

Dark Hooves: It seems so.

"You have two choices, or I do to you the same as I did for that boulder or talk. I hope you choose not to talk, I'd like to try this skill on a living pony for once" Silent laughed madly

Changeling:.......................................Fine...................Her Royal Highness is really angry when we we're bested by those two ponies, she took it out on us. Making us work non stop and barely giving any love to feed on while she watched and consumed as much love as she pleases. I hope you are happy, this will most surely sign my death warrant.

"What about the timberwoves?" he asks

Changeling: That was all Her Royal highness's plan to get back at you ponies for the defeat in Canterlot.

"What do you think Dark? Is this enough for you?" Silent asks

Dark Hooves: What shall we do with her though, she doesn't deserve to go back just to meet her demise.

"Well, I think that we can let her free as long as she won't bother us anymore"

Dark Hooves: She must pay for her crimes though and for her safety I recommend having her sent to the dungeon in Canterlot castle.

((Well, yes it wouldn't make much sense))

"Yep, that was the other option"

((Akira ran away from them after the attack on Canterlot and she wasn't a grunt. She was the second in command of the changelings.))

Dark Hooves: That is your job buddy to see her safely get to the dungeon in Canterlot. I'll go with you as addition support.

"Yes" he grabs an end of the rope that kept her tied "Come on, let's go"

The changeling follows while being pulled along by the rope.

Dark Hooves also follows.

Dark Hooves: (whispers to the changeling) Although you'll be imprisoned for your crimes the royal guards in the dungeon will keep you safe and healthy.

"Yes, but I'll decide her treatment. If she's going to have a good one or a bad one, it's my choice" Silent said as he continue to walk

Dark Hooves: Of course after your punishment and sentencing

"Exactly"

((Wanna do a timeskip untill they arrives at Caterlot, or you wanna do something before?))

They arrives at Caterlot "Here we are, Canterlot, beautiful isn't it?"

Dark Hooves: It sure is.

Silent pulls the rope "Come on"

She keeps up while still looking at the ground.

"You won't come out foe a while, do you really want look at the ground all the time?"

Dark Hooves: I think she has a lot on her mind.

Silent shrugs "Whatever" They reached the castle "Alright, we're here"

Dark Hooves stays off to SS's right side while they walk into the castle.

Dark Hooves stands out of the way while the royal guards handle the changeling.

The other guards escort her in the dungeon and put her inside cell

She moves away from the bars and into one of the corners of the dungeon cell.

A guard puts a bowl with some fruit inside the cell "Eat"

She silently levitates the bowl to her and starts eating the fruit.

Dark Hooves: What about her need for love?

"We are not obligated to give her love, the fruit is enough."

Dark Hooves: You sure she'll be fine?

"She's fine right now, so I don't see any problem"

Dark Hooves: Very well.

"We shall send a message to the princesses who will decide her sentence"

Dark Hooves: Well I better stay in Canterlot for the sake of convinence.

The guard nod "Yes, you may take one of the guests room till that moment, the other guards will take you there"

Dark Hooves: Thanks sir knight.

"My pleasure"

Dark Hooves: Please lead the way.

Another guard escorted them to the guests room "Here's your room, we will call you when there will be the sentence"

Dark Hooves enters and takes a seat with a worried look on his face.

Silent enters "Is something bothering you Dark?"

Dark Hooves: i know she must face her crimes , but I can't still help feeling bad for her.

"She was following the orders so she had no choice, but she could have escaped after she reached the forest"

Dark Hooves: The queen might have forced her to stay there.

"But how? She wasn't there with her"

Dark Hooves: I don't know.

((What is gonna be her sentence?))

The guard comes inside the room "The sentence has been decided you can come to hear the verdict"

Dark Hooves: Alright.

The two nightmares didn't come inside the Canterlot and they are now walking back to their home in the Everfree forest.

Dark Hooves follows the guard to the royal court room where he sees Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and bows to them.

Dark Hooves: Good day your royal majesties.

"Good day" both Celestia and Luna said "Have you come to witness the sentence?" asks Celestia

Dark Hooves: Yes I have. (stands up)

"Good, take a seat, you will soon witness the sentence" said Celestia

Dark Hooves takes a seat.

The guards carry the chained changelin in front of the princesses, the guards forced her to kneel.

Changeling:.....................(looks towards the princesses)

"Are you aware of your crimes, changeling?" Celestia asked with a booming voice.

She nods silently.

"And are you aware that for what you have caused both in the forest and in the assault on Canterlot during the wedding you and your kind have hurt other ponies and for this you will be severely punished?" Celestia asked again with a booming voice.

Changeling:..........................

Celestia and Luna look at each other and then to the changeling "Our choice is made, this is going to be your sentence..." she paused "You will recieve 20 lashes with a whip then spend 10 years in the dungeon as punishment"

She winces slightly at the sound of her punishment, but says nothing.

Dark Hooves wants to object to the Princesses word, but he restrains himself.

"Guards! Take her in the dungeon and proceed with the punishment" Celestia said "Yes, your highness" the guards said as they take her and drag in the dungeon.

She doesn't struggle while the guards take her to the dungeon.

The guards dragged her into the dungeon and tied her to a structure so that her hooves were immobilized on all four sides of the structure, then one of the guards takes a whip and starts to whip her with strength.

She takes each hit without even making a sound.

The guard finished to whip her, The changeling back is full of wounds. Then the guards untie her and drop her in her cell.

she curls up into the corner of the cell licking her wounds
