Name: Soloren
Age: 36 ((human years))
Gender: Mare
Personality: Soloren, though she's nearly in her forties, is still an energetic and bubbly mare. She loves to make people smile, and run her flower shop with her daughter. However, if you make her mad then she can become your worst nightmare. SO if you do... don't hang around her shop. Just. Don't.
Likes: Her daughter, remembering the good times, gardening, working like a hard pony should, teaching her daughter the values of life, embarrassing her daughter at the register for giggles, and spending time with her daughter. She also likes the color blue, and her favorite flower is the forget-me-not. For obvious reasons!
Dislikes: When her daughter is feeling down, remembering the day that her husband vanished, poisoned plants, selfish ponies, ponies without manners, anyone who disrespects or harms her daughter, the color pink ((frilly)), being called girly.

CM Backstory:
One night she was up late, using fake flowers rather than real ones for a decorative boquet assignment, when she heard a small crash outside her window. She looked at the small space where there had once been a beautiful forget-me-not flower, gently growing in between a collection of blue orchids. It was gone! The pony ran outside to see that the plant had fallen, and lay in the broken potting clay and clotted soil. She quickly took it back inside, and for a week she was nursing it back to health. But her studies seemed to consume more of her time, and the flower died naturally. She'd at least been able to prolonged its life. However, picking out the seeds left by it, the mare was more determined. She would grow these out to be the most beautiful blue orchids and forget-me-not flowers that any pony had ever seen. Over time, keeping the orchids within a respectable amount of sunlight ((If it wasn't cloudy)) and keeping a good supply of rain water, as well as the water that she had in her house for use, they bloomed and budded into extremely beautiful creatures. they were tinted with white and purple, the blue base color gently faded over the petals. As for the forget-me-nots, she also kept them within that reasonable amount of sunlight and managed to nurture both selections of plants to their full potential- even if it took weeks, or nearly months of progress. And when those plants were in full bloom, the mare finally received her cutie mark.

Biography:
Soloren has been a hard working earth pony ever since she was a filly. In her younger years, she simply loved to daydream and stare at the flowers and trees outside of the school window, which had an effect on her grades. She was usually at home, watering the plants and keeping them fed. Her parents weren't exactly lenient, but they weren't too strict. Thus, when her schooling problems began, they decided to allow her to work int he garden at night if she promised to finish her homework. This panned out very well, and she was able to better focus her studies. Eventually, after attending the little hooves preschool, her middle school years were more planned out. Seeing as she liked plants, her mother and father decided she should have a class on the study of plants, so she entered a Florists school. As fun as it was, she wasn't quiet interested in decorating with plants as she was with caring for them. She found less enjoyment, other than her nights out in the garden. She just couldn't see why her parents didn't understand- she wasn't frilly! She was a hard working pony that wanted to take care of the things that made Equestria pretty- it's flora. Even with these studies on decoration, she did learn a bit about plants. However, many of the florists didn't put time into their work, and ended up damaging the poor things. Or worse, they simply picked them and allowed them to wither as decorations. Her cutie mark is that of a plant growing from a seed, signifying her talent in gardening and helping plants live a longer life. She can remember their names, what their colors mean, what specific flowers need to keep alive, and discern poisonous does from the proper flowers. After this, she and her parents began saving money for a flower shop- to keep her happy. During her sophomore year of pony high school, she managed to meet the one who would be her destined mate- Memory lane! They were good friends, and when he told her about his ability to see other's memories, he was the first to see how she got her cutie mark. the only pony that knew about that night when the forget-me-not flowers fell. They were rather fond of each other, but after pony high school, they became separated. they met back up with eachother when Memory came to visit Ponyville after three years of his college studies for therapy, and after spending another year together, he finally proposed. The ring of which he had given her was shaped to look like the forget-me-not flower which she had shared in her memory of getting her cutie mark. Thus, she happily accepted it. After two years, their first and only child to date was born; Forget Me Not. They had decided to name her after the beautiful flower, as her coat was the same shade of blue, and her mane was the same green color as her mother's. However, after an incident her father went missing. SOmeone had broken into his office, banged the place up, and stolen some of his finances that he kept privately. they were distraught and stricken with grief, and still hope he's out there somewhere. Since his body was never found, they assume that he had to still be alive. Currently, this mare proudly runs a flower shop with her daughter, where ponies come to find decorative flowers, specific flowers for herbal or alchemic needs, or simply the right flower for the right occasion. Her daughter, despite having the cutie mark of three blue forget me not flowers on her rump, does not seem to have the same talent in gardening. Her mother thinks that the fact that one of the flowers is missing the pollinated center may signify that her skills are weaker. But her father thinks it may be something else entirely. For now though, Soloren happily runs the flower shop with her daughter working at her side.
