[Story, Half-verse]:
  All ye ponies listen here, I'll tell you the story of Queen Leimus of Pastoring.  The Queen of great valor skill and grace, who rose to bring much glory to her ponies. She sought the right to rule by love and banish fear forever-more. Her heart was large, her wisdom clear . . . but darkness befell her land of green.

  The seven stars, lite long ago, across the roaming planes of wheat; brought light and love and hope and growth for the world the Queen did live within. Pastoring the place was called, pastoring of green. The wheat and oats grew well within the ground so softly tilled. But soon enough the lights did fade and ponies fell to darkness, where only one was left alight, the star of the north. Though bright she was without her sisters the crops would die and fall. . .

  So here dear ponies young and tall, is the never ending call. Your queen needs fealty and your strong will to overcome this catastrophe. Take arms, bring love and courage more, for whence you set out from here . . .  it may be years till ye return, with the queen we love so dear.

[Story]:
  The 'stars' of Pastoring are dieing, go out with your group of ponies and scale the highest mountains, travel beneath the boundless waves, get to each star in turn and re-light the hearts of the world. Without their glorious rays Pastoring will not last long. Do your best to keep Queen Leimus safe, without her Pastoring will be a much differnt land.


Our quest has lead us into the Alabaster desert where we've met 'The Obsidian Race', a mysterious race of strange ponies that seem to be endothermic, not just cold blooded. Some seem to posses magical powers. In these special conditions ponies can sign-up as: 'Obsidian Race' members; specialty races (restricted by GM discretion); or Professional Nomads, Gatherers or Hunters (This option depends on other sign-ups)

A PM or discussion will probably be required before it is possible to join the game. MAINLY due to the story we've covered thus far. If you haven't taken a quick look at: http://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=6624.0 (the compendium) please do. Just a quick look, I know there is ALOT so don't worry about reading it all; a quick browse through will do.

Their misfortune began late eighties, in decline of music when a flowerpot with a radioactive accident left him blind, and he led the two bumps on the head that looks. Member of desperation, has become one of the iconic members of the Resistance. Claims to have extrasensory powers even if all others saying that it is not, what it does have is a strange power to jinx it all, and finish at the wheel of any vehicle, despite being blind later in the story the Resistance manages to use such clumsy devices supernatural to sabotage the fanhunters

Overtime, she grew, and earned her job, and cutiemark as a tailor, fixing things, and making some clothes for close ones.

Other : The unicorn's a cheat, sometimes, most of the time, using unimaginable ways to overcome obstacles. She refers to it as 'Using your Resources'. Even though she may seem like the snooty upper-class stereotype, Scarlet often helps charities, and other ponies, treating herself like an equal.

Born and raised in Canterlot, Liaisa was quickly taught to behave properly, "as a mare unicorn should". Her parents had a lot of younger friends, who still had to get married, and therefore Liaisa attended many weddings during her childhood. As is Canterlot tradition, the weddings were big, beautiful and romantic. The little filly couldn't see enough pretty flowers or beautiful dresses, but she enjoyed watching the actual ceremony the most. Seeing two ponies getting married was absolutely fantastic.

In class, Liaise couldn't pay much attention since she was always daydreaming about the weddings she attended, and what it was like to fall in love; being so young, she didn't know yet. Due to this, Liaise never got the results her parents wanted her to get, but she managed to pass her tests, which was good enough in her opinion.

Liaise was last of her class to earn a cutiemark. It wasn't until the Hearts and Hooves day's dance, which she helped organize, that she discovered her special talent. It was the first Hearts and Hooves day Liaise and her friends celebrated. Everypony was very shy and insecure about finding a partner for the dance, but not Liaise. All the colts would come to her for assistance and she managed to find the perfect partner for every single one of them. However, busy as she was trying to help the others, the day of the dance approached and Liaise no longer had the time to find a partner for herself. The poor filly was sad, but her mother had made her such a wonderful dress she didn't have the heart to stay home.

Her dreams of entering the dance in her beautiful dress, with the perfect colt were shattered and nearly broke the filly's heart as she sauntered towards the ball, where she sat in a corner and watched the other ponies enjoy dancing with their partner. Occasionally, one or two couples would take a break from dancing and sit with Liaise to thank her for her matchmaking and generally to talk and have fun. But sitting there alone, even if just for a few minutes, was enough for Liaise to feel bad and not even her daydreams of beautiful weddings and fairytales could cheer her up.

But then, out of the blue, a well-dressed colt walk up to her and held out his hoof, asking for her to dance with him. Surprised by the sudden event, Liaise blushed heavily as she stared at his hoof. Her eyes lit up and sparked with joy, while her heart began to beat heavily and she was overthrown with emotion. She discovered what the ponies at the weddings feel and with a quick glance around, looking at all those ponies who probably felt the same overwhelming feeling, Liaise was smiling ear to ear. Feeling twice the joy, she barely could even dance; but when then her cutiemark appeared Liaise had to sit down again. She never did dance with her colt on that Hearts and Hooves day, but she was happy nonetheless and her parents couldn't be more proud about their daughter.

Excellent, only thing here is: in this game there isn't really an equivelent to canterlot but the closest thing would most likely be the capitol . . . Queen's Grace. So for the duration of the game how does Queen's Grace sound, for your home-city?

Biography: She was born in a faraway land of nightmares as the first nightmare with wings. She got banished when she was 8. She has wandered around the world since and now lives in the Pastorings wilderness trying to keep distance to ponies which is hard because her mane and tail are sources of light.

Special talent: She can exhale fire, enough to light a campfire but not enough to make serious damage.


This is my first attempt to RP and it can take a while to me get used to things here.

Well, I think you'll fit in JUST fine! If you need any help put a message up in the OOC board and if you need specific advice or personal help give me a shout anytime. I do have to warn you this game might be a tad hard to follow at times . . . because I plan on writing most the story in half-verse lol. But if you are willing to try and understand I'll help whenever you need it!

Check the OOC board every now and again, even if you don't need help. I may place some information up that might be interesting or directly important to the plot.

If you want to change your race you are free to join but  . . . there simply are no Alicorn ponies in Pastoring.

Male Pegasus pony, age 18, from Hillsberugh.  Tall, lean, yet strong Clydesdale-type Pegasus pony with a limegreen coat and forestgreen mane and extremely long wings.  His darker colored hooves seem to hit the ground heavier than most, suggesting that despite his lean stature, Grassblade is a bit heavier than average.  The reason for this is not publicly known.  His wingspan is uncommonly--almost shockingly--massive, allowing him to tow extremely heavy loads compared to the average Pegasus.  A barge barely pulled by two average fliers is an easy task for him, though he will reach his destination quite a while later than they would.

His personality is... well, unpredictable, to say the least.  He has been seen as loyal as a castle guard, pledging (and never breaking those pledges) to help neighbors resolve their problems before he took any rest, but also has been seen playing the town fool, telling jokes and making comical appearances.  Whenever he does this, it seems that somepony was being mocked--and the mockery was then focused on Grassblade instead.  Whatever his current... mood swing, if one could call it that... he always seems to value his neighbors over himself.
In spite of these traits, at the time of our legend's beginning, this pony has nothing beyond a positive neighborhood reputation.  No ponies have ever been seen in an active friendship with him.

Personal background information beyond these commonly seen traits has not been confirmed.

  Personality: Secretive, quiet, calm, generally passive.

  Biography: Herbal Remedy was born into a family of monks, since birth, he was taught to never harm anything. This lesson never caught on, when he had free time, Herbal Remedy practiced the art of fighting.

Fun new possibilities have materialized, normal ponies from Pastoring cannot be chosen; however openings for 'The Obsidian Race' are open.

What is the Obsidian Race? That is what all of us are trying to figure out.

Also, do I have to register as one of the obsidian race or may I play as one of the three main ones aswell?

Hello-hello. You are free to register as any of the races existing in the world, seeing as there are no Alicorns though, that discounts them  lol. But you may register as any of the pony races, including the obsidian race, we've already left the town though so we'll have to retroact your joining and say you joined back in Queen's Grace, I'll have to insist you take 'the oath' as well  ovO. Second post in OOC, in case you want to peruse it to make sure it slides with your character, but I don't think there will be too much trouble XD.

Name: Whispering Winds

Gender: Mare

Race: Pegasus

Age: 19

Description: Light green skin, her mane is a slightly different color with a white line. (Look at Lyra for reference on the colors and body type?) And silver eyes.

Personality: She is often quiet but not shy. Adventurous and very determined. Kind and has trouble with words sometimes. Calm, hardly gets angry. Loves the sky.

Biography: Born in Pitelsbar, and has been taught to fly at a very young age by her father. She had no major problems in her childhood but was extremely shy and kept everything to herself, she learned to overcome that later. She is very determined when it comes to pursuing an objective or helping others, often pushes herself over the limit. Loves to explore and spending time with her two best friends, flying.

Special talent: She can communicate with others using the winds and air currents, though it is not always possible and has limitations. (If you think this will be bad for your plot just let me know and I'll remove this in this RP XD)

Winds~ Excellent! Glad to see you've your sign-up, up. Only one thing: Cloudsdale. In truth there isn't anything like that in this society, mainly because the reigning royalty tend to be Earth-ponies or so the last 3 generations appear to be . . . If we could change that to something like . . . . *looks at the available cities* Hitelsberugh or Yorkenshare for this world's consistency I'd be most appreciative  :D.

If you like feel free to take a look at the different cities in Pastoring, yes, they are in the Compendium  lol. Actually, I'm just about to hyper-link my Table of Contents to make moving through the compendium a breeze~. Well in REALITY it will be a little more convenient but one will still have to wade through all this information.

While I would love to have Liaisa return, I've been rather inactive lately, and my creativity isn't all that either. I'm afraid I might uphold the RP more than I would add to it.

Name: Cecil Lux

Race: Pegasus

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Personality: Very intelligent, quick in tongue, and notably optimistic.

Occupation: He's a night watch. He wanders around places he's hired at and guides ponies home, breaks up fights, and watches over the people.

Equipment: A candle (for guiding ponies home) and his voice (he is a strong singer).

Weakness: Ponies that are persistently pessimistic. He cannot stand them.

Current Residence: Edge of Cloudsdale nearest Ponyville.

Cutie Mark: A candle enflamed with stars.

Abilities: Ponies are mesmerized by his singing. He is very charismatic, and ponies just seem to come to him whenever they are sad or are in need of help. He is not a fast flyer but is very agile, able to keep himself in the air no matter what position he is in. One of the few ponies that can keep an upside-down glide for over 20 seconds at a time, but that may just be because of his large wings.

Backstory: Born with a depressed family of four on the heath between the Crystal Empire and Canterlot. The family had been exiled from Cloudsdale because they had stolen food several times before, none of them being talented enough to do their proper jobs to earn bits. Their cutie marks were faded, near grayscale. The wind blew cold but the sun beat down hot.
This foal lived buried in sadness, but when he saw the sun after the stormy clouds went away every week, the tears faded and a smile shone on his face. His parents and sister could not understand his happiness. Cecil, as he was called, simply told them how pretty it all was. The rough grass and the slow-rolling hills, the bright ball of fire hanging from the sky... It was all so wonderful. The young foal did not understand the dire situation of the family, but his optimism brought something to it that they never had: light.
The parents could only barely feed the family, asking for food whenever possible. Cecil began to grow and understand things, and went to school along with his sister. His teachers immediately recognized his intellectual ability, but failed to find his talent. He was a stammeringly powerful singer, and people who heard his voice loved it, but he never considered it to be something he would pursue as a career.
One night, at home, he heard a knocking on the house's door. Being in the closest room to the entrance, knowing the others would wake up soon, he grabbed a candle, lit it, and opened the door. It was a mare that seemed to be around 25 years of age, so a young mare, but certainly not old. The foal, only about 7 at the time, asked the mare what was wrong. The mare told him she could not find her way home, as it was a moonless night on the plain, and everything was pitch black. With the candle, Cecil guided her back to her home. The mare simply thanked Cecil, and they never saw each other again. Cecil enjoyed the satisfaction of helping someone who was lost.
He walked back to his home and quickly fell back asleep.
The next morning, while washing, Cecil looked at his flank and found it was not empty. In bright colors, a white candle shone, enflamed with 3 bright red stars. His parents were very pleased, but were also sad that he would soon be going off to master his occupation. Before he left, he dyed his wings gold, and took a cape of pure white and a charm of pure blue. He found that his somewhat bland fur coloration of gray and black did not represent who he was as a pony, so he changed it. He promised that he would provide for his family as much as possible, and make them comfortable. He then regained the ability to enter Cloudsdale through connections between him and a certain pony within the Royal Guard, and from that pony to Princess Celestia. Cecil was then hired by the mayor of Ponyville as a temporary night watch, and he began mastering his agility and began to learn how to break fights and persuade. His oral skills became stronger, and his muscles became stronger as breaking fights sometimes gets you into a few. He was happy.

Alright, sounds good except for the places of birth and occupation. This is Pastoring, we aren't in the same reality as Equestria. If you want some suggestions to places you could be born and live around please choose one of the following:

Queen's Grace - (somewhat the equivalent of canterlot)

Hitelsburgh - An agrarian town, not too far east from Yorkenshare; Largest exports: Wheat and Silk

Yorkenshare - Urbanized merchant city with agrarian suburbs; Largest exports: Artisan goods

  There are a couple other choices in the compendium which can be found through a link in the first post of any section of this RP's content topics. Please give me a shout if you want help reworking parts of your profile for this game or need additional information.

Description: Dark coat and mane, long tail and shiny eyes. The typical obsidian pony.

Personality: Dedicated to his studies. A bit reserved, talkative at times but only when related to herbs, medicines and poisons. Reckless.

Biography: Currently the apprentice of a shaman. He respects his master and hopes to learn much from him. His recklessness annoys his professor sometimes. Likes the earth in a spiritual manner. (Spirit of earth, talk to the earth, etc.) Practices picking herbs and making several medicines and poisons out of them. If not with his master he can often be found in the outskirts of where he lives, searching for more plants for his experiments.

Special talent: Has a deep connection to the earth.
