My tablet came in the mail today... I'm not aloud to use it until Christmas D: This is so suspenseful for me! I tried to convince my dad to let me use it early though lol

My mom is considering getting me an art tablet for Christmas. My bro suggested an old Bamboo since the pens with the new ones rub down quicker.

It helps if you have a scanner. Then you can draw on paper, scan it, then go over the lines and color it in with your tablet.

Right now I draw in pencil, trace with a sharpie, scan, do 10 minutes of funky editing to get black and white, and then color it in.
I was hoping my tablet would cut down on the 1st 4 steps of my process, but I have absolutely no accuracy on a tablet. I need to be looking at my hands when I draw, not looking up at the screen while drawing on the tablet.

Took practice for me to get used to it and figure out the coordination for it. I wonder if I'll have to get used to it again since it's been so long since I used a tablet.
