Legends of Equestria - Forum

This is Nightmare Night, the night of the Equestrian devil who possessed Princess Luna. Something is happening, Luna's most faithful followers are catching ill, and nopony knows why. Luna was last seen flying off to check on a pony she is close to, but is not seen. Will Luna's followers find the strength to search for their beloved princess, or must somepony else find the princess of the night and save the holiday?



Astor sat in a dark corner of the hospital, every inch of her screamed out her anger. Her sister was arguably Luna's most faithful, and right before the dark alicorn's holiday, her sister's favorite day, she is here, dying in a hospital. Astor pushed herself up.

Chack walked slowly out of one of the hospital bedrooms, the one that held his best friend. His head was hanging low, as the news was not good. Chack's best friend, Ben Goe, was one of Luna's many loyal followers.  Chack looked sadly to the side, seeing other patients in their room. His worst nightmare had suddenly seemed to be coming true; Ben falling to a deadly, unknown disease. He stamped the ground several times in rage.
"It's not FAIR!" he yelled to himself. "It's not fair..." he said, lowering his voice. His eyes began to swell as tears came to them.

Shadow boredly lay in her bed at the hospital. The doctors said they didn't know what was wrong with her. Scythe had wandered off like any wounded dragon would and Demoness just stayed in the EverFree Forest, not caring about her illness.
"What could this mean?" mumbled Shadow, "I can't just sit here,"
With a bit of difficulty, she sat up and looked around

Astor stomped down the hall, not caring about the nurses shushing her.

Lightning and Flare walked to the hospital. Lightning was wondering why the followers of Princess Luna was falling ill. He brought some books in his saddle bags to see if he can find some antidote.

Skyler rolled over, her sides hurting. Her hooves seemed to be deciding whether to hold her stomach or head. Her hot pink mane was severly faded, and splayed out over the bed. She closed her eyes, murmuring something.

Tiger was wearing a pirate costume that night.

((Of which the drawing I am too lazy to continue ovO))

She was simply taking a good stroll around Ponyville as the other ponies went to sleep, enjoying some peace and quiet. She was not aware of the grave situation.

Astor bolted down the road. She wanted to be as far from the hospital as she could.

((Oh yeah, don't ask why Tiger is already dressed up. She just wants to ovO))

Tiger noticed Astor bolting down the road. Realising something is wrong, she flew to the hospital.

(I do that too lol )

Tears started to fall, but Astor didn't stop. Her hooves pounded the road like she wished she could pound the sickness.

Flying into the hospital, she saw Skyler in the hospital bed, and flew up to her.

"Sk-Skyler! What happened!?" Tiger said, utterly shocked.

"Someponies have gotten sick..." Skyler coughed, then folded her hooves over her stomach. ["It's not contagious, though."/color]

Lightning and Flare had entered the hospital and walked through the halls. They saw a sick pony with a pink mane loosing color, in a bed, and a pony with tiger designs over her, wearing a pirate costume. Lightning and Flare walked in the room, wanting to know what is happening to the patients. "Um, excuse me, my name is Lightning Chaser." Lightning said. "And my name is Flare Chaser, his brother." Flare said. "We don't mean to be rude, but we would like to know what's making the ponies sick." Lightning said softly and kindly.

"I don't know just yet, but I'm going to find out," Tiger said. She dashed off.

Flying through the hospital, Tiger noticed most of Luna's most faithful followers were sick. Suspicious, she flew back to Skyler.

"Hey, I'm back. Skyler, do you know where Princess Luna went?"

Skyler's green eyes suddenly drowned in worry. "N-no..."

"Oh, this is bad..." Tiger said. "I need you to give me the normal whereabouts of Luna. I could possibly gather information of this sickness from there."

Flare walked up and stood next to the ill pony, while Lightning pulled out a book with his magic. He looked at the pony before him and turned the pages of the book, trying to find out what is causing this sickness. While looking through the book, Lightning had another thought. "I wonder where Princess Luna is?" He thought.

((I'll be Luna. Mind telling me what's the stich right now?"

Skyler thought for a momemt. "On Nightmare Night... she usually is prepping herself for a surprise visit to a town as Nightmare Moon..."

((Well played.))
"...What happened?" Said Luna

((Light, Luna is supposed to have disappeared mysteriously. She's not supposed to pop back up.))

"Where exactly?" Tiger asked Skyler.

((I edited to place where Luna is missing.))

"Her room in the castle..." Skyler said, her eyes a bit pained.

Down on the town, Domino Effect thunders around the square, decorations galore being thrown up by the giddy pegasus as he cackles a tune...
"This is Nightmare Night, this is Nightmare Night,
Timberwolves howl in the dead of night!
This is Nightmare Night, this is Nightmare Night,
with my treats and tricks I'm sure to give you all a fright...!"
He shimmies up a lampost and covers the torch with a carved pumpkin before swinging back to the ground, his sharp teeth contorted into a bizzare grin as he heads towards the clock tower. This changes when a thin black cat crosses in front of him...
"Hullo Anarchy, here to watch me work my magic?"
[glow=red,2,300]There is little time for idle chat, Domino, a disease is spreading to those loyal to the Lunar Princess...[/glow] the cat seemingly says as Domino works around it, unpeturbed by it's strangeness...
"And what in your name has that got to do with me? I despise both princesses equally, you know..." he trots over towards the edge of town, spiking pumpkins on anything sharp as he does so whilst the cat follows...
[glow=red,2,300]Everything, dear Domino...[/glow] it quips with a flick of its tail [glow=red,2,300]...for without the princess you will not be able to connive them of their riches...[/glow] Domino nods in curt agreement as he pauses to watch a sick pony being carted into the ambulance, resuming his walk once they had left. he approaches a stranger on the street...
"Excuse me, my friend, but what exactly was wrong with that pony?"

Astor raised her head to Domino. She turned towards the ambulance, then back. "I'm not sure, but... but I think that they might have the same illness as my sister."

Chack sees another ambulance pull up to the hospital.
"What's going on...?" he said to himself. "First I hear Princess Luna goes missing, then all of a sudden these ponies get sick." He walked away from the hospital, having several theories of how this may have happened, none of which made sense.

Among the books is one labelled, "Nightmare Night: Nightmare Moon's Night."

"Ah, it must be this one!" Tiger says, pulling out the book. Then she began reading....

The book told the tale of The Mare in the Moon. It went over the history before it hit an interesting part.

It is rumored that on Nightmare Night, Princess Luna gives her body over to Nightmare Moon for the night, as to keep peace with the demon...

Lightning and Flare watched the conversation as the pegasus flies out of the hospital. Lightning closed the book he was reading to solve the disease to go the the castle, hoping to find the cure for the illness in there. Flare turned to the exit of the room. "Hey, Bro, maybe we should go with her to help find what's making everypony sick." He said to his brother. Lightning nodded at what Flare said and Turned to Skyler, the name of the sick pony the pegasus called. "We're goig to help your friend find what's causing this disease, we'll be back." Lightning said with kindness. Lightning and Flare flew out of the hospital and to the castle where Princess Luna resides. They went into her room and find the pegasus from before. Lightning stood behind his brother shyly. Even though he's seen her before, he still doesn't know her name, making her a stranger to him. Lightning is very shy around strangers.

Astor galloped angrily to the train station, ready to board a train to Canterlot.

Astor slid her hoof along the window. As much as she despised Celestia, or anypony who gives her orders, for that matter, she might know where Luna was who could know what was hurting Skyler.

"So what have you got so far?" Feshru asked Tiger.

"Well, I found this book that says Luna gives her body to the demon Nightmare Moon to keep peace with it. Let's continue reading."

They continued reading the book...

The end of that page is ripped, and nothing in the rest of the book can explain the illnesses.

"Ugh, this doesn't really help anything..." Tiger said as she put the book back.

"Let's search for books that are more useful," Feshru suggested.

The two searched the room.

There were books about illnesses and Nightmare Night, but none helping the other.

"Well, that's every book. I guess we're done with this room," Tiger said.

"I suppose so. Let's go to the canterlot library," Fehsru said as she leaped out the window.

"...Canterlot has a library?"

Reaching the library, they found the doors locked and all the windows closed. "How are we gonna get in this time?"

There was a colt sitting behind the library, he seemed to be an employee.

"Look, there's someone there," Feshru said as she pointed at the colt.

"Good. Follow me and don't try to say anything," Tiger said as she approached the colt.

"Um, hello? I'm trying to find a cure for an illness currently happening in Ponyville, and I was hoping I would find it in the library. Could you possibly open the door for my pet and I?" Tiger asked the colt.

At Luna's capture point... or where she's held captive
"Okay, seriously anypony there?"

The colt looked at her curiously. "Are you a doctor or something?"

"Um, no. It's just that all the ponies getting sick are Luna's followers. Everypony else was busy so I came here to try and get information," Tiger said.

((I'll RP as the rightful Doc also... and time lord.. bahahaha))
"You called the Doctor?" Light says

"NO we did NOT, mad 4th-wall breaker," Tiger said rather rudely to Light. "What are you doing in Canterlot anyway!?"

"Listen, look at my medical license" Light says with a :| face.

"I didn't say I denied that you were a doctor," Tiger said with a  >:/ face. "I'm asking what you're doing in Canterlot."

"I've been called to see what's wrong with them." Says Light with the sonic screwdriver.

"WHY does a DOCTOR even have a SCREWDRIVER!?" Tiger said, quite shocked by it.

"You'll see," says Light as he scans the body of one of the ponies.

((Uh, we're not at the hospital. We're at a library.))

((Oh buck.))

"I've examined the ponies at the hospital and... since it's nearing Nightmare Night, Nightmare Moon is rising again, but since Luna has accumulated so many followers, NMM spread out to them, except most of the ponies can't handle even a small amount of NMM in them, causing them to be deathly ill."
((Stichin Time gets this. ovO ))

"You used that screwdriver thing to derive that?" Tiger said, rather intrigued. "Well, let's search the library how to cure it."

"Um, who is this, tiger stripes?" Feshru asked.

"Ah, right. Feshru, this is Light," Tiger said as Feshru jumped onto the ground.

"Nice to meet you," Feshru said to Light.

But Light isn't part animal, so he can't understand animal language. Instead, all he hears is "Meow meow mrow."

"Er.... just a second, let me get a meow-to-pony translator...." says Light as he brings a small headset out of his saddlebag and puts it on Feshru.

Feshru disliked it and took it off.

"I've got something more comfortable made by Cappy!" Tiger took out a collar with a red LED on it (out of nowhere) and fixed it onto Feshru.

"Ah, that's much better... Can you understand me now?" Feshru asked.

"Ah, yes! I must fix my prototype, tell me what's your name Tiger's pet?" Says Light very confounded on the device only he had plans to.

"She's not actually my pet... My real pet, Falky the falcon, is at home sleeping," Tiger said. "It was just to cover up in front of the colt."

"I'm Feshru the iah. Weird name, I know. Let's just try asking the guard to get into the library," Feshru said.

"I'm a friend of Twilight, no worries." Light grinned

"Well, hurry up and get us inside then," Tiger said.

The guard let Light, Tiger and Feshru after Light said Tiger and the Iah are his friends.

Going in, the tall shelves stacked thousands of books. Tiger didn't even know where to start.

"There's no way we're going through all of this in a night and day," Tiger said.

"Let's do this.."
Says Light as he leads them to the Sickness and cures section.

((Wouldn't the sections normally be under S or C or N etc etc etc?))

"Riiight... But this isn't any normal sickness."

They search the shelf for any useful books.

((Here in the Phillipines, it's by book.))
"I'll betcha we can find at least one."

Tiger rolls her eyes and continues searching for any book, any book at all, that would help.

((And now we wait for Stitchin' to show us a book...))

No books under the Illnesses section.

Luna discovers... "Hey, this is where the Elements of Harmony were..."

A laugh comes from behind Luna, and echos around the room before any trace of it disappears.

Luna says, "Huh? Who was that? Answer!"

After searching through all the books in that section, Tiger says "I told you we wouldn't find anything."

"Now what do we do?" Feshru asked.

Light says, "Dang! Stay here, I have to ask someone something."
((Celestia ovO ))

"We want to find out what's wrong too, you know. We can't just sit here and do nothing," Feshru said.

"It's someone only few have access too." Light says rushing off.

"Hop on Feshru! I think I know where he's going, and we're going to fly there first!" Tiger said.

Feshru hopped on and they both flew off, to Celestia's castle.

Rushing in, Tiger said "Princess! Sorry for our rudeness, but it's an emergency!"

((Who will control Celestia?))

"Ugh, I'm stopping time.." Light exaggerates by pressing a watch as he sees time stop.

((Okay, I'll make her text black since white text is hard to see.))

"What is it, Tiger?" Celestia asked.

"It's Luna's followers. They've all become terribly sick because of a slight portion of Nightmare Moon getting into them, and Luna is no where to be found. Do you know where she is?" Tiger asked.

"Well, I... Have no idea..." Celestia said, distraught.

"I'm here- What in the world..." Light says

"Ah, Light. Have you come to ask the same question as Tiger? About the sickness Luna's followers are suffering?" Celestia asked.

((I'll be honest, I misspelt asked as "saked" o.o))

"Yes, princess, Me and Twilight are reasearching it, I came here to check on the ponies who're sick" Light says, panting.

Celestia looked around. "This isn't a hospital, Light. None of the sick ponies would be here," she commented.

"No, I meant I came here to GO to the hospital." Light explains.

"Couldn't you just walk there yourself rather than coming to me to ask me to send you to the hospital?" Celestia asked.

"Stop trolling me princess.."

"Honestly, I don't know what you mean," Celestia said.

((The honest truth ovO))

Light just breaks the fourth wall and shows the panel explaining what Light examined

"Tiger already told me that," Celestia said. "Anyway, I have no idea why it is happening, and our only hope to cure them is to ask Luna what's going on."

"If you may princess, I would like to go to Everfree Forest with the Elements of Harmony to find Luna."

I'd like you to take this banana.

It's should be able to track my sister (Celestia says)

((Jenzy... I'M controlling Celestia, you are NOT to control her.))

"It would be too risky, and the elements will only react to the users of the elements of Harmony, otherwise known as Twilight and her friends," Celestia said. "If you were to lose them, you would be in big trouble. What were you planning to use them for anyway?"

((At least mention a banana!))
"To go to where they first found the elements..."

((Celestia isn't a troll. She's a princess.))

"They first found them at the tower over there, where they defeated Nightmare Moon," Celestia said, pointing out a window to a tower.

"Then go on and check it. It may be dangerous depending on the situation, so I'll send Tiger and the iah with you," Celestia said.

Tiger trotted over to Light, Feshru bouncing on her back.

"Hopefully you three will find something of use."

And so the group went out of the castle, towards the tower.

"Tiger, you know we can fly there."

((Oh, I thought you were an earth pony... my bad ovO))

And so they flew over to the tower.

As they arrive...
"Well, that was quick, hey, I see Luna! Prince-" A tackle from something brings Light to the ground.

Tiger dodged the tackle, then Feshru helped Light up as Tiger scanned the place. "Keep your guard up."

Light brings out the sonic screwdriver,

Feshu extended her claws and growled.

((Initiate the next attack by the thing?))

((Wait...))
"Princess, are you alright?" Light says
"Yes, behind you!" Luna says
Light activates an ear piercing sound only heard by the attacker.

While the attacker was stunned Tiger kicked him into the wall, then pinned him there. "What were you doing keeping Luna captive!" Tiger demanded to know.

Light pointed the screwdriver saying "Tell me!!!" As he readies to fire the fireball from it.

Feshru extended her claws and pointed them at the attacker's throat. "Yeah, tell us!"

I think it's because he was sent to the sun by her, since Celestia sends ponies to the moon ovO))

There was an extremely ugly large dog. It towered over the ponies, and it's mouth was full of razor-sharp teeth. However, it seemed to be made of something not like other dogs. Rather, like fire on water. It ran to attack the ponies, but a yellow blur flew at it, and it howled in pain.

((Sorry for being gone so long. I have to go to church every Sunday.))

Lightning and Flare walked around the tower they entered to find a cure, but couldn't find it in any book. They saw a pegasus flew of with an Iah and the two decided to stay in the tower. Lightning and Flare heard a commotion outside. They walked to one of the windows and looked down from atop. They saw a large dog, the same pegasus with the Iah, a new pony, and Princess Luna. Lightning and Flare flew down next to the Princess. "Princess, are you ok?" Lightning said. Flare stood in front of his brother and the Princess, staring at the huge, vicious looking dog.

Tiger noticed the dog, and stood in an attack stance, ready to attack, but the yellow blur caught her by surprise.

"Hey, this is MY enemy, no interference!" Tiger said, then flew up into the air and created a medium-sized tornado: Not too big to destroy the tower, but not too small so that it can actually hurt the dog. She threw it at the large dog.

The dog stumbled over, howling in pain. The yellow blur of a pony yelled out something and hit the dog again.

"Oh, tag teaming huh? Yeah, whatever." Tiger turned to face Light and Feshru behind her. "Stay rooted to the ground, strong winds are coming!"

Lightning and Flare watched the battle between Tiger, Astor, and the wild dog. Flare walks up to the fight. "Hey, can I join in?" He asked wanting to get in on the action. Lightning sood by Princess Luna to keep her safe.

((Um, Stitchin', your slash seems rather... How do you put it... Overpowered? Compared to the health? I think I may have to fix this...  :s))

((You might say that is overpowered, but it only has 2/6 chance of actually working! And my dice doesn't like me so it doesn't normally let me do that. This is the first time it actually worked.))

Flare made a pout, unhappy that the battle was over already before he could help. He decided to put it behind. "Nice moves there" Flare said to the tiger striped pegasus.

"Heh, thanks," Tiger said.

"Guys, what about this attacker!?" Feshru the iah said, with her translator collar equipped, as she and Light continued to pin down the attacker that attacked them before the dog.

Flare walked up to the attacker they were pinning down. "Who are you" He asked.

((Now we wait for Light... I think ovO))

((Alright))

Astor walked up to the large dog. She stroked it once with her hoof, little stars flying around.

((I walk by))

Whoah! What's with the big dog?

((Walking by, in the tower Nightmare Moon was first defeated. Yeah, realistic.
At least have a reason to be walking there.))
