Any other Adult/Teen men planning to participate in No-Shave November this year? For those who don't know, it's an unofficial awareness event aimed at men's health issues, where men are encouraged to grow a beard (or just a moustache for those who's employer don't let them have full beards) in order to raise awareness.
Since I've always kept a perfectly clean-shaven babyface my whole life, I'll definitely stand out to my family and co-workers.
I plan on growing a full beard for the first time, I just hope it doesn't look weird with my dark-blue highlighted hair. :I Might crack and go with just the moustache if it does.
Good. This will give me an excuse to not shave for a month.
I'll probably give it a try because I had to shave half way through the month last year :3
My cousin's challenged me to do this last year or so. Not sure I can manage it though my face gets itchy and annoying when I don't shave. Not to mention I'd be afraid to see what I look like without shaving for a month. ovO

just think of a stereotypical lumberjack with a grizzly adams style beard and that is what I kinda look like after a month, though it is nothing compared to the real Grizzly adams

my college's marching band doesn't let us have beards for games/gigs. (we are a VERY military-style, regimented band. uniformity is a HUGE thing for us.) so, normally, i cannot participate in this. but this year we have no home games until AFTER Thanksgiving break, so i have the majority of the month to grow this sucker out. and i'm LOVING it.
Due to the power outage, I'm shaving tonight, and letting the beard grow lol

Not so sure about the mustache though. It's not there yet, and my mustache hair is golden, and I don't really get a mustache but... I hate the mustache. :/
This challenge has taught my something about facial hair genetics: I seem to be incapable of growing facial hair around my underlip area. I have a mustache, a soul patch, and a chin strap, but it won't come together. I didn't even know that was possible. I've seen people like that before, but I assumed they trimmed to make it look like that.

I do that every time I let mine grow out enough, granted mine's technically been growing since June so it's already pretty full and I'm not sure how much it counts.
Though it looks terrible when it's still pretty short, apparently once it hits a certain length it actually grows in really nice. I've actually been getting comments on how it looks now so I'm pretty glad my facial hair grows in the way it does (just wish my normal hair behaved itself, but after a certain length I get wings behind my head... :l ).
Did learn that my beard has one oddity in it though. While all the hairs have blonde roots like the rest of my hair only 4/5 are actually brown, the last 1/5 of my beard has a very bright copper color to it when you look close enough which is strange.

My hair is about 1/2 inch from being shoulder length

Well, have successfully stuck to my guns despite and snot-waterfall cold, a baby shower, a doctor's appointment, a CPI class, and of course Thanksgiving this challenge has taught me one thing: Facial hair is not for me.
I'll be shaving at midnight. (no pun intended) I can say honestly I won't miss the beard at all. Can't say as to whether or not I'll participate next year.

I was planning on taking a picture today to show friends and family marking a 6 month point for my beard before I trimmed it down to a shorter length.
I wouldn't mind cutting out the beard and just showing that off as that'd be all you could see, but if that's still too much I guess I could always do a quick vector or something.
I don't think a beard would look good on me (even though I still got peach-fuzz).
Maybe a nice, clean mustache...
