This is Time Flyer.

His Cutie Mark is a Hour Glass.
His occupation is the cloud factory but in his mean time he works in his home working on a machine that allows time and space travel.
His machine is 90% done and works but there are a few bugs in the machine. There's no way home.
His test subject was lost in a parallel universe some 2000 years in the future. At least his subject was a robotic drone pony (RDP).
RDP1 who is lost is Flyer's best friend. RDP1 is his first drone he made with a special AI that allows near-pony lifestyle. Flyer must find a way to save his friend and find a way to make his machine flawless as he doesn't like his cloud job and wishes to work in the science field and this flaw is preventing him from doing so.

Parents: Rain Flyer (Father)(Works at Cloud factory with Time Flyer). Never knew his mother

Friends: Not many. Some may call them his friends but aren't really.
