and yes,i hate block-heads,i cant poke them in the right spots... >:O

I cheat my way past the blockhead on Oni Island. Bouncing off invisible wall ftw. ovO

The only way I got to know about Okami was Chuggaaconroy let's-playing it ovO

Me: What's it about?
Friend: A wolf sun goddess that uses paint n' stuff *talks awesome about Okami*
Me: Are there any spiders?
Friend: Yes.
Me: NO WAY AM I BUYING THIS GAME!

Me: Wow I'm glad he recommended this game for me! *plays okami not knowing what she's doing because she is stuck o3o*

oh god...i hated the one in Oni island...Now i cheat past him using that vine  ovO

Someone's actually doing a Let's Play of it? YAY! I thought no one was, and it made me sad. DD: It'd still be fun to get Tobuscus to do a LP of it, though. Not that he'd do very good or solve puzzles very fast. I just think it'd be awesome to watch him play around with the divine brush and gawk at Sakuya. I can imagine it now, she shows up: "Ho-ly mother of god." Later in the game: "Hey, girl-- WHA. Holy mother of... You changed clothes, girl? Das cool. You look good!"

I jump, jump, headbutt the invisible wall keeping me from falling off the roof, and backflip over him like a boss. :3 I still hate the obstacle races. If it wasn't for stupid Tobi the paper, I'd play the game again. Though, I've played it 3 times already. I.. I wanted to unlock ALL the Karmic Transformers so I could be different doggies.

I haven't played the games but I've seen videos and I use Okami in Marvel VS Capcom 3 and my cousin hates me for it, she's the only wolf character that walks on four legs in the MvC series.

(I have played some of Okamiden though.)

I want Okamiden so much.

I think they have a demo of it for download but you have to use the wii to get it, from the nintendo channel.  :c

I have Okami and OkamiDen. I played OkamiDen first and haven't gotten too far on Okami. I like the similarities between the two.

I bought both Okami and Okamiden, but I didn't really find them fun. I love Zelda games, so I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy these games... oh well.

I usually prefer for my main weapon to be a rosary. Secondary, either a rosary or a glaive.

On Marvel VS Capcom 3 I loved using her whip and her great sword weapons, are those in the actual Okami games as well?

Whip? Do you mean the Devout Beads? They act like a whip but they aren't... and the swords are real too.

Ah that's cool one of these day's I may buy the game. I like games where you can run around as an animal, it's one of the reasons I liked The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Link's wolf form was fun to run around Hyrule in when you weren't forced to collect the tears of light.

Yeah, and now Chuggaaconroy is doing an LP of Okamiden!
He used to do very badly on time in Okami and he kept saying "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I DID BADLY ON TIIME!"

I fail at life when it comes to okamiden....once i threw it at the wall in rage saying"You call this okami?o3o'' with overused sounds?FUUU >:O"yeah...XD

Me:*gets to yami*hmmm..this cant be so hard....*loses all my powers*S----......okay thats just great....

i failed at the game first time o3o'' 55 hours till  i beat it..the better time it took 10 hours... :3

I don't like Yami. >.< Those specific things you have to do to beat him at each stage of the battle, him knocking holes in the floor like a lunatic, the fact that he's just a baby seal in a bubble. Are you insinuating that seals are evil?! Is that it?! RAHHHHH!

The first time I played and got to that cut scene where Issun got everyone to start believing in Amaterasu, I was like "Ok, cool. This is pretty cool. I'm glowy! AWESOME!" The second time I played, it really set in what was going on, and I almost cried because it was so sweet.

If Okami was really spoiled for you, we would've mentioned the plot twist that blew my mind. ;) And we were only vaguely discussing one of the boss fights.

Yami..is a evil Koi fish....XD
The fact that hes a Koi(seal..mantie..what evs)means-Anything can be evil.Even little koi fish,evil can strike starting from a small stage,and growing bigger...well,as a youtube comment i read anyway,XD

He looked gray, so I thought he was a baby seal. :I If he was orange and white, I would've realized koi. lol

Whatever kind of creature Yami truly is (seal, fetus, whale, whatever), that doesn't really matter. Yami's true body is a deformed creature and almost looks like a rejection/mockery of nature. Yeah, what's with HD version? What's the difference?

Usually HD versions just have clearer crisp graphics rendered at a higher resolution unless they improve the textures themselves, they might also filter the game so it loses jagged lines and edges. That's usually all they do though unless the company wants to add things to it.

The best example I can think of is this.



This is a drastic example because I'm playing KH2 using a PC and the PS2 likely filters it on bigger screens but if you hook up a PS2 with HD you can notice jagged lines and tons of other issues that a standard definition TV usually can't display.

(Before anyone wonders why I'm using a emulation I ripped my KH2 disc to my PC so I could play it using graphic filters that the program to play it has.  ovO )

   Hey, has anyone here played through both? I loved Okami, but I picked up Okamiden, and it seemed to be the same game with slightly different dialogue when I tried playing through it. Does that change later on at all?

I wish. I haven't played through either, although I'm further along with OkamiDen.

All I know is that Okamiden follows Amaterasu's son. I haven't gotten to play it yet.
