Agreed re: OoT. The Zelda games are great, but they've never had that effect on me.
Anyway, I'm gonna say the Civilization games. I just lost several hours to Civ 4... they've got that whole "one more turn" thing going on.

Urban Terror, and I hate being the only brony on this game(That I can see so far). I'm not hiding it either, i've been playing as "Pinkie!" for the last 2 weeks, my avatar is Pinkie Pie, on the league and my clan's websites, and teamspeak, and I think i'm gonna officially change my name to Pinkie!
My clanmates see me play all the time with this name, with or without the tag and at least 2 at one time said "Dude, i'll rename to The Brain and we can be Pinkie and the Brain"....they don't get it :P

this may be a little biased since this is my favorite game... but portal. PORTAL DANG IT. Even though I've played it dozens of times, I still manage to get stuck in certain rooms... and then I won't stop until I get passed those rooms... and then I just keep going and going ._.
my current addictive game though has to be pokemon. I always come back to it, and it doesn't help that BW2 are coming out in less than a week!

There has been several games within my past that i've sadly been addicted to, some of which include.
Phantasy Star Online, Phantasy Star Universe, Halo Reach, Halo 3, Halo 2, and Minecraft.
Clearly as you can tell from this is that there's actually no set pattern within the games that i like to play. :s :P
I gotta say...its a tie between Skyrim, Minecraft, and of course Legends of Equestria!
Skyrim. I'm not sure how, but I managed to spend >200 hours on it (over many months) before installing mods to fix the huge crippling flaws the game came with. A huge game with tons of customization like that is hard to put down.

This is exactly how it feels after catching all the pokemon.
Saints Row 2, I could find myself up at 4AM playing that and not know what happened to my time.
