After one day of heavy rain, a flash flood has engulfed my town. The next town over is actually sending rescue boats! And there was actually a landslide! Oh, and get this: It's a tourist town, so a ton of tourists got stuck in the flood, then ducked into the local movie theater and watched batman as they had nowhere else to go. THIS is the apocalypse I tell you! IT IS HAPPENING! Well, anyway, I'm stuck in my room for the next two days now, so...
I'm guessing you live down south where Issac hit?
that looks awesome.. I really hope nothing bad comes from it.
Oof! I hope you'll be okay!
...Looks fun... as long as no one is hurt.
I would seriously try to tie myself up to a vehicle and surf
Madness, you so crazy. :3

Pfft! I'd swim in the muddy water!
I'd go to my aunt's farm, get my cats back, then tie them to a sled and make them pull me through the water.

Pffft! I'd force my best friends to pull me on a sled through the water after swimming! lol *is now competing for craziest thing to do in the flash flood ovO*
Make an epic raft, then sit on it drinking coconut water while Fluttershy gets animals to pull me.
That's a crazy amount of rain O:
It could be worse, but that does look pretty bad. There are areas in New Orleans, I think, over in Louisiana where the water is waist-deep. I've been getting lots of updates on it from Villalobos Rescue Center, which recently moved from California to have part of their rescue in New Orleans-ish, Louisiana. The woman who runs the rescue, Tia, had to take her pets and leave her house because it got flooded.
Even though the water was still pretty deep in a lot of places, she, her family, and other members of the rescue went around rescuing animals that got lost and trapped when things got flooded. If I can remember correctly, so far they've rescued
- 2 pigs
- 1 dog that was with one of those pigs
- 3 dogs that were trying desperately to cling to a car while floating down a river
- 1 blind Border Collie
- 1 cat that was clinging to a fence
- 1 skinny dog and her newborn puppies
And since their rescue tends to have up to 200 dogs, they had had to move them all into a sheltered place. Some of their dogs were rescued from Hurricane Katrina, but some of them took it well since they'd already been through a hurricane.
Anyway, I hope that there are people out there helping any lost animals where you live. It's pretty easy for animals to get lost in such crazy situations.
wow O_O I hope that you and your relatives are doing fine :c
Nevermind being stuck in your room; at least you've got us :P

I love them for saving all those animals ;3;

Madness, you put "I love them for saving all those animals ;3;" in the quote. lol
I just got another picture my friend took last night. Apparently all of the tourist shops were flooded and the water was up to my neck. :I Well, getting my boots and going into town to see the damage it did last night. >A<
Stay safe, Moon.
Oh. Up to your neck? I guess it really was worse. :( Goodness, that's scary. I hope you can swim well. I can't. X3
Whatever you do in a flood, don't touch the floating coffee beans! lol my mom taught me that when I was little because they're apparently ants and they will swarm up you if you touch them
:I Dear goodness! Up to your neck?! Be careful out there.
well... good luck :I Certainly not a fun thing, being in a flood. Hope you don't get TOO much damage...
I hope that flood dries up or flows back into the sea or whatever!
or the water can be rediverted x3
