I was just wondering...if you do...does anypony in LoE watch Anime? If so, tell me which ones you've watched....if any >.<. If I get enough simailar likes in the same anime, maybe we could start a herd...probably not though but you can just do anime discussion here. Sorry if there is already a thread on this, I don't usually hang around on the off-topic thread.
Let's see, I've seen Bleach, Soul Eater, and Ouran High School Host Club
Been watching Bleach from the start as it comes on Adult Swim every Saturday Night.
I've seen some of:
- Ouran High School Host Club
- Chrono Crusade
- Azumanga Daioh
- Hamtaro, when I was a kid
I've seen all of:
- Wolf's Rain
- Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Soul Eater
- Deadman Wonderland
- Get Backers
- Durarara
Manga:
- Deadman Wonderland all the way up to the latest chapter
- The entirety of Full Metal Alchemist
- Partway through Get Backers, but I haven't gotten around to continuing it
- Been reading Soul Eater
Might be more I've probably forgotten.
I've read a good amount of soul eater manga and I think it would be so cool if ponies had the same powers ovO
I love animes like the Hiragashi series, the Japanese dub of yugioh (only the Japanese not 4Kids) Digimon Tamers (again not the eng dub) Desu Noto (Death Note) the fan made anime of Story of evil Ghost hound (or as I like to call it Gest Hound) FMA/Brotherhood Neon Genesis Evangelioun High school of the dead Asura Cryin DBZ and Digimon (jap dub) and Deadman's Wonderland
I never got in to Bleach or Soul eater
o_O u have never seen soul eater or bleach! You need your dose of Death The Kid lol jk
Ahhh, yes, ponifying anime. ovO I've thought about this before. It'd take a lot of thought and work, though.
But yeah, I'm reading Soul Eater just because the story is longer than the anime. ^-^ More adventures after the anime's end. Also, I hear that the end of the anime went differently than things did in the manga.
Oh right. I've seen all of Death Note too! :)

..... I think I've begun to overdose on Death the Kid, to be honest. I went all "It's not symmetrical! I'm trash!" on the sausage I was slicing for dinner earlier.
really? I watched the anime before the manga and I stopped reading the manga cuz I thought it was the same.... :P
Eeyup. The anime ends before the manga does. There's much more to the story than in the anime. This tends to be the case with a lot of series, like Get Backers and Deadman Wonderland. After all, the Deadman Wonderland anime is finished, but the manga is still ongoing.
And like I said,
I heard Asura's defeat went differently in the manga than it did in the anime.
And apparently, Excalibur isn't filler like I thought he was. :I
what?! Nooooo I don't want the stupid penguin cat to be a main char!
I prefer anime instead of manga, but i've watched:
-Some of Bleach, then i went straight to the manga
-Some of Naruto, and same of Bleach
-Death Note
-Claymore
-Black Cat
-Elfen Lied
-Almost all Guilty Crown
-Gintama
-Neon Genesis Evangelion + Films
-Soul Eater
-High School of The Dead
-Blood +
-Some K-on
-Oh, My Goddess
-Hand Maid May
-Code Geass
-Some of Gurren Lagan
-The World God Only Knows
-FMA
-A half of the first series of Kurosh1tsusji (i put a 1 tere because the forum was censoing that one D; )
and I think that's all
+ I read Ga-Rei and I'm reading Ultimo. ovO

Oh, also I've watched all of Cowboy Bebop numerous times.
Um... does a couple episodes of Naruto count? lol
Unfortunately, the only Anime shows I watch are... too inappropriate to mention here.
I've watched quite a few anime only finished some though.
Ones I've watched.
- Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and the normal one.
- Hamtaro it was on cartoon network when I was a kd my sister and friend liked it but I liked it a bit as well.
- Naruto and it's sequel (I could never finish either though and got bored eventually.)
- Gundam Wing (I need to finish this anime eventually. o_o )
- Sailor Moon (My sister watched it when we were kids and at the time we only had satellite on one tv, so I ended up watching it with her.)
- Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. (Haven't finished it but my friend tells me to avoid the OVA.)
- DBZ (My cousin loves this show and watches it all the time, I think it's okay.)
Anime I've finished.
- Fruits Basket
- Rurouni kenshin (Still love this show even today.)
- Nanaka 6/17 (I ended up making an AMV of this anime because I liked the story a lot, and found a good song for it.)
- World of Narue (I finished watching this one it wasn't one of my favorites, but it was okay to say the least.)
I have more but I cannot remember them all yet.

Well, a couple of us have already mentioned Deadman Wonderland. Its entire plot is morally messed up and grimdark. :/ And someone mentioned Higurashi, which cannot be fully discussed here.
I'm sure we all have enough restraint and discipline to discuss our favorite anime within the rules.
I used to watch Naruto a lot in middle school, but I got tired of it. It wasn't really my thing, and I traded it up for Bleach. Unfortunately, Tite Kubo let things go to poo starting with
Serious spoiler.
The English dub anime hasn't even reached this point yet.
It regards the end of the war. Here it is:
Sousuke Aizen getting so arrogant and over-confident that he started slipping up, and then Ichigo pulling massive power out of hammerspace and suddenly becoming more powerful than Aizen was, despite Aizen using the Hougyoku, being one of the stronger captains, and having a zanpakuto whose Shikai let him produce super realistic hallucinations/illusions. Really?!!! Especially since the other people who fought him weren't strong enough.
At least they didn't kill him. But seriously?!!! The manga goes downhill from there.

I used to watch Sailor Moon, just a little bit of it, mostly the two VHS's I have of it. I also watched a VHS of Ruroni Kenshin (pretty sure that's what it is, since people've told me it is) with my dad, and we also watched Record of Lodoss War together. Never did finish that one 'cause we don't have the full set.

I didn't read through the whole topic.
Besides, I'd rather not bring it up. I start talking about something I have strong feelings for (one way or the other), I can't stop.
The mods are already stalking every one of my posts.
I'd have to say out of all the anime I mentioned in my list Rurouni Kenshin is probably my most favorite the music and story alone made me watch the entire series in 3 days on youtube when they had it. It trapped me even more so when more of Kenshin's past was revealed each episode, and as he was always drawn back into fighting no matter how he tried to avoid it, his past would constantly catch up to him causing problems for Kaoru and all of his other friends each time an old enemy appeared.
Ending spoilers.
Are you sure?
Kenshin did eventually get a happy ending but man did he have to go through a lot before that happened, a life of constant war and fighting ever since he was young, countless friends and family lost I was glad at the end of the series he ended up staying with Kaoru. After years and years of fighting Kenshin really deserved to finally be at peace with his friends, I don't think any other anime has made me watch the whole series in 3 days but this one.
Let's see a few other anime I've watched.
- Megaman NT Warrior (It was a pretty fun goofy anime I watched when I was younger.)
- Kirby Right Back at Ya!. (Another show I loved when I was a kid.)
- Suzuka (I never finished it but it was okay although it suffered from some issues that bothered me.)
There was also some detective anime on cartoon network I watched but I can't remember it's name it had some dude that was suddenly turned into a kid I think it was Case Closed I'm not sure as I've only seen a few episodes of it.
I've been watching anime for most of my life, my favorites are Rurouni Kenshin, DBZ, G Gundam, Ah My Goddess, Yu Yu Hakasho, Zoids, and countless others X3
I'm afraid to touch anything dubbed by 4Kids. I have no interest in Sonic, Kirby, or One Piece, but I wouldn't touch the English dub even if I did have interest in them because 4Kids messed them up.
1. Because One Piece wasn't intended for children anyway, so they censored it in so many stupid ways, just like they do with everything else. Also, it's so weird how they censored the women's chests.
2. Sure, Sonic was intended for kids. But, dude, 4Kids... Children can read. Why did you take out every single written word in the series? The book store's sign is even just a picture of a book. Sonic held up a blank sign that should've been warning kids not to do dangerous stunts. What's wrong with you?
3. 4Kids has an odd habit of Americanizing everything. Even when they do show rice balls, they call 'em something stupid like "Jelly-filled donuts!" In one anime, Yu-Gi-Oh or something, they changed the dialogue in a plot-related conversation to an "I could really go for a hamburger" discussion of lunch.
>:/ As much as I dislike watching subbed anime, if I ever find something interesting that 4Kids dubbed, I'll probably watch the subbed anime or try to find the manga.
The main reason I watch anime is for the voice actors and characters. I luv most anime characters and I love the english dubbed voice actors! I love Tod Haberkorn! He voices Italy, Death the Kid, and Hikaru! All my fave chars! :D

Death the Kid. <3 And of course I loved Kaoru and Hikaru from Ouran HSHC. I love twins. :D Twinny twin twins.
Some voice actors are pretty good at sounding different all the time, but with some of them, you can tell right off the bat that it's them, just because a slight note to the voice sounds the same.
Like, the voice actor for Ichigo from Bleach. When I watched Durarara, the moment Izaya spoke, I thought "He sounds like an evil version of Ichigo." Same voice actor.
The VA for Edward Elric from FMA and FMA:B. When I watched Kekkaishi, and Toshimori spoke, he sounded exactly like Ed. When I watched Soul Eater, the moment Maka's dad Spirit started talking, he sounded kinda similar to Ed. Seriously, listen to him. He sounds different but with an undertone of Ed Elric.
I only watched the 4kids dubs of Sonic X and Kirby when I was younger now I can't stand them mainly Sonic X, I can still handle kirby to some extent because of King DeDeDe and Meta Knights voice actors which sound awesome for the characters but anytime I decide to watch Sonic X for the heck of it I cringe now.
Ed's voice actor from Full Metal Alchemist is one of my favorite actors anytime he plays a character I always imagine the character throwing someone through a wall if you call them short, I actually liked FMA enough to play the games on PS2 which weren't that bad but were tedious.
Tara Strong is best voice actor :3
She had roles in Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke ^-^
Toshimori from Kekkaishi didn't like being called short either. :P He was tailing his friend, who he has a crush on, when he overheard her saying she likes guys who're taller than her. In his mind, he envisioned himself and her and realized he was shorter than her, so he curled up in a ball of angst, while his other friend focused on the real situation going on. lol
Buuuut Spirit's not like that. He's not even short.
I've been hoping for a thread like this, I love anime. I've seen quite a few different ones, and I'm always looking for suggestions of new shows to watch. :D

Soul Eater's a pretty good one. ^-^ Contains lots of action and humor. It does have its dark moments, but not as dark as some other anime. I'd post an awesome AMV I found with Marilyn Manson's cover of This Is Halloween, but I think it borders on breaking forum rules. :P It really is pretty Halloween, though.

3. Here's a comedic video instead:

I think I found a good FMA video to post, ah memories I need to watch this show again eventually. :3

I prefer FMA Brotherhood to the first FMA anime, considering Brotherhood actually follows the manga. It's funny, the manga didn't finish until last year. The first anime caught up with the manga, asked "What now?" then shrugged and made up their own story. It was like someone's fanfiction got shown on TV.
Also, another minus of the first anime: It didn't have Ling Yao.
I may end up watching more of FMA brotherhood then, it still comes on the cartoon network channel though if I want to see it from the beginning DVD's may be the best option to buy someday. :D
I love anime! I've been watching it since I was 2 or 3. My first anime was the original Pokemon. But here is a list of anime I watch today
Spoiler: I need to keep them here or they will run everywhere show Pokemon
Digimon
Wolf's Rain
Tokyo Mew Mew
FullMetal Alchemist (actually made me want to be an alchemist)
Baka and Test
Inuyasha
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (I don't like many of the others)
Spice and Wolf
Ginga Densetsu Weed
Ginga Nagreboshi Gin
Sonic X
I've tried some animes but didn't really like them *coughsouleatercough* I'm trying a lot of new animes since I'm running out of anime to watch.

I think you can watch all the episodes on dubhappy.com. :]
I think the only thing they changed from the manga was one of the things that the first anime actually followed completely.
Spoiler. Are you sure?
Ok, then.
After Maes Hughes died, they did keep it secret from Ed for a long long while. But the FMA Brotherhood anime decided that since fans already watched that happen in the first anime several times, they apparently decided to skip it and just have Ed find out immediately after he gets lied to about Hughes's absence.

It made me kinda sad that they deviated in that way, but the rest of the anime was so close to the manga that it kind of made up for it. Ling Yao was exactly the same, Greed was exactly the same, Kimbley was definitely the same, etc and so forth.
*Cough* Those were my three fave characters from the series, by the way. Well, I do also like Roy Mustang.

I just watched Ruroni Kenshin (dont remember if i finished it), Tsubasa (dont remember if i finished it), Yu Yu Hakusho, some Gundam series (Wing being my favourite) , DB, DBZ, DBGT, Naruto, and currently watching Naruto Shippuden.
I get why some pepole get bored with Naruto lol, but i figured since i watched DBZ i needed to give Naruto a chance since it's a LOT more strategy than on DBZ, it's is not just a punch that sends you flying away in Naruto :3.

I managed to get bored of DBZ after awhile, especially since half the battles were their own fault when that started happening is when I sort of dropped off it. Naruto started getting boring from all the fillers and the concept got old on me after watching it for so long I do still play the games though they are pretty fun.
My sis and I are boycotting Naruto since it took the Bleach anime off tv D:. It's kinda sad that Tite Kubo is giving up his manga after the next arch! But if he ever runs out of money or has no other thing he is good at, he'll have to run back to Bleach.
I think Naruto and Bleach are becoming way too overstretched by the creators, they need to end those and move on to something new :/

He's written other manga too. o_O There was something zombie. Bleach kinda needs to end, though. It's getting ridiculous. It's been getting ridiculous since the Fullbring arc.
Unfortunately, I'd feel better if the English dub anime ends on the end of the Fullbring arc, rather than the end of the war.
Oh. I have also seen some of Hetalia Axis Powers. :P

I'm almost surprised North Korea is the only country that put up a fuss about the character representing them. By the way, that's why there's no North Korea in the Hetalia series.
Tite Kubo admitted that the FullBring Arch was a waste of his time. It was kind of tedious and not as climactic as I had hoped...Though I did like the parts with Toshiro <3!!! I think the next arch he is doing will be more planned out :3
Say... Did anyone here ever find, see, hear about, or read a little manga called Incarnate? I think they got three volumes out before they stopped production.
Well, I've been a fan of anime since the early 90's. I first got into anime through Robotech, the american adaption of Super Dimensional Fortress Macross.
Other then that, I've been a fan of anime since, and have seen a good share of shows myself, such as:
-Tenchi Muyo!
-DUAL! Parallel Trouble Adventure
-Cowboy Bebop
-Outlaw Star
-VanDread
-Trigun
-Lupin the III
-Gundam 0080
-Gundam 0083
-Gundam 8th MS Team
-G-Gundam
-Gundam Wing
-Gundam Seed
-Gundam 00
-Zoids New Century Zero & Chaotic Century
-Digimon 01, 02, Tamers, Frontier, and Savers
-Big O
-Soul Eater
-Love Hina
-Gatekeepers 21
-Bebop Phantom
-Better Man
-Hamtaro
-Ghost in the Shell
-InuYasha
-Macross Plus
-Macross II: Lovers Again
-Transformers Armada
-Akira
Currently, I'm watching the stream of the new anime series
Accel World on Hulu.
I watched Inuyasha. It got boring after a while, though. The plot seemed to cycle and do basically the same thing over and over until the end. Besides, it had a bit of a shoujo note to it, and I'm not much one for shoujo anime or manga. I much prefer shounen. After all, this is coming from the girl who doesn't like romance movies.
ever have that feeling that your spending too much time watching anime? ME NETHER!
I hate how people make fun of how anime characters act. But now I realize that if we all acted like anime characters every once in a while, we'd have more fun. There's something great, fun, and whimsical about acting silly and displaying lots of emotion.
But then again, way too many people are mature to the point of boringness and don't understand those of us who're still a little immature. Some of the most awesome adults I know watch anime and/or still play video games and/or still like to party, and they're still perfectly responsible enough to raise their children right.
Though, then again, two of them - a brother and a sister - each ended up with a son who wanted his hair dyed a crazy color in, say... 5th, 6th grade? The sister's son wanted his hair bleached white, and the brother's son wanted his hair dyed blue. Soooo the two ended up with their hair the color they wanted. lol So awesome.
That reminds me of my cousin, me and him often goof off and act silly even in public a lot of the way we act is from us both watching anime, I'll probably be an anime/gamer/cartoon watcher my entire life but I still know when to be responsible and when to act serious I just don't act serious unless the situation calls for it, like important events or when something happens that requires attention.
It's a lot less stressful when you can have fun in life but also know when a situation calls for being responsible and to not do anything dumb.
Excalibur face has its own page on Know Your Meme! lol
One my favorite mangas I never got to read much of was called Her Majesty's Dog. I read the first the volume and it was awesome, but the bookstore never had volume 2 :'(
has anypony ever seen fairy tale? I just watch it cuz Tod Haberkorn voices one of the main chars.
Heard of it. I've seen pictures comparing Black Star from Soul Eater to some pink-haired guy from Fairy Tale, I think. I dunno what that anime is about, though, and I haven't really bothered to look into it since I've been busy with lotsa other stuff.
