Here y'all can share what your Torch Hound OC looks like, share their story, etc.
I'll start by posting my Torch Hound OC, Isul.
Spoiler: A picture of Isul, drawn by Nonnavlis. show
Soo..I guess that's all I have to say.. x3
YES JUST YES! So since I seem to be the one who brought torch hounds here ovO I shall post mah torchie
Spoiler: Flower May (Arins) show Name: Arins changed to Flower May
Age: 1 year
Species: Torch Hound
Birth Place: Everfree Tunnels
Home: Sweet Apple Acres
Gender: Female
Appearance:

BackStory: Arins was orphaned in the mineshaft near Ponyville. Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle had been being "Cutie Mark Crusaders, Miners!" When Applebloom had found a small wolf like pony with a skull like mask crying. She took the creature to the farm after they finished mining with no luck of getting a cutie mark. Granny Smith had told them that the creature was called a "Torch Hound" and to put it back where they found it. But Applebloom wanted to keep Arins after a few minutes of arguing Granny Smith finally let Applebloom keep her, Applebloom named the Torch Hound "Flower May" while Arins was playing in the flowers.

Arcana. :P
I just realized why torch hounds are so epic and why they where the skull! :D It's because they use the skull to keep their FLOOFYNESS down because they are SUPER DUPER fluffy so like if someone is wanting to hug them because they are so fluffy it wouldn't end well for them because they can't say "Shut up ponyfolk! >:O I don't want yo hugs!" Because they would be going "Chirp chiiir grr bark!"
*facehoof* oh! It's a skull! I know where he/she got the idea to create this! Cubone+dog+light=torch hound
OMG I gotta make one of these O: O:
with Plumeria ovO
I can happily claim the forum's third torchie. ovO

Could've sworn the males tend to have cool-colored glowing patches, while the females have warm-colored.
Also, guys, it's probably a good idea to read what StickFigureQueen said here (http://stickfigurequeen.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d517epb). Specifically,
QuoteAnd on the subject of creativity I gave guidelines as to what THs were NOT supposed to look like. I said their glow marks were only 3 shapes. ONLY 3! Not kanji, not biohazard symbols. Circles, squares and stripes! You can use these and be creative without making your OC look like a train wreck! And colours, how difficult is it to learn? Warm = female, cold = male.
She also made a FAQ (http://torch-hounds.deviantart.com/journal/FAQ-297708706).
Just so no one accidentally makes their Torch Hound wrong. I'm gonna try not to, too. >.< I can understand where she's coming from, though. I'd be kind of upset if I presented a community with the race my friend and I came up with, Shinkuu, and people started making Shinkuu completely wrong.
That, and I don't trust everyone in the anime RP community to have the discipline necessary not to make their Shinkuu totally OP, due to their regenerative ability and the nature of the special ability Kuuhaku... People might ignore that a mortal wound on a Shinkuu is hard to heal. They cannot survive an injury to the heart or major blood vessels without intense medical attention, for example.

I'm not sure if you're joking about the purpose of the bone mask or not. o_O
Joking. The mask's purpose is to protect the hound's face from rocks and debris.

I thought so. I just read the reference sheet a second time to make sure I remembered stuff right, and it turns out I missed a couple sections. X3

I was joking about the bone mask thing, also I never could learn the difference between cold and warm colors in art class in 4th grade, I also decided I'm not using my torchie anymoar because of my idiotcy.
I don't know what a Torch Hound is. :s

Oh. Cool colors are basically green, blue, and purple. You get more of a "cool" feeling from them. Warm colors are basically pink, red, orange, and yellow. You get more of a "warm" feeling from them, especially from the association between red, orange, and yellow and fire.

I. TOTALLY. AGREE. >:(
If we make a roleplay, we should all read her FAQ about Torch Hounds and Torch Hound society. :P It's reeeally interesting and well thought-out! We should also link to the reference sheet and FAQ on the first post, in case anyone wants to join but doesn't know about THs.
I added reference sheet and FAQ links on first page. ^-^

Alrighty. ^-^
I'm thinking of naming my Torch Hound something like Syph. After all, she said they usually have one-syllable names.

Yep! Ohmigosh this sounds so exciting :3 :3
Yay~~I want to help make the Character Sheet for the sign-up! :DD
But... I'm not very sure about all this, as we're getting people worked up at a species that will not be featured in the game... it might give them other ideas you know :s

Yesss, especially since I'm sure StickFigureQueen wouldn't let LoE put them in the game even if they wanted to. :/ If they did, they'd probably have to put limits on the character creation screen. If you picked male, you could only choose from shades of green, blue, and purple for glow spots. If female, only pick from shades of pink, red, orange, and yellow for glow spots. Fur color choices would probably be restricted to dark colors.
[Edit]: Whew!
Finally! I made my Torch Hound. The coloring is what really took the longest, considering I had to color it in Windows 7 Paint, on my netbook, using my netbook's mouse.
Name: Zirx
Gender: Female

By the way, guys, apparently most Torch Hounds have a one-syllable name. 'Tis why I went with just Zirx. o_O
I am making another torchie.
Her name is Tod.

I agree... I wouldn't bet that the team would want to add another not-canon species in their game even if Stickfigurequeen agreed to it XD besides, the colour input would be trouble themselves, and it would be so weird to see Torch hounds strolling around in Ponyville (if not, the team would have to create all sorts of underground caves and tunnels without a real reference XD )
