I'm more partial to ribbons. Putting a neatly tied ribbon to your mare's hair is +2 in my book. Flowers are okay, though.
I also really like ponies who have that Fluttershy personality, but be cautious not to make it EXACTLY like Fluttershy. It's easy to tell when a pony is created for the purpose of being cute, which is okay as long as they are unique. Even in Equestria, life isn't a field of flowers being handed on a silver platter.
