"After a timeless sleep, seven ponies wake up in a mysterious cave with no memory of what happened to them. What's even more mysterious is they all have a special gem on their body that represent their best 'Trait'. Furthermore, they will encounter a strange mare with two horns on her temples: a 'demon' called Lachesis, and discover a new world called Kata-Edafos."

Sea Breeze opens her eyes...
....
.....
Still confused and tired, she rises up from the ground massaging her head. "Ow... where am I?"
She is in a cave with blue rocky walls. Some azure mushrooms were lighting the place while the top is covered by deep darkness, making it impossible to see what's above.
Then there's a waterfall that ends on a lake near her. Does she remembers what happened before waking up? ...of course not. It's like she had some kind of amnesia.
Sea Breeze is a pegasus from Cloudsdale. A fitness maniac and a protein junkie, she never wanted to be a Wonderbolt or the "fastest flyer in Equestria"... All she desires is to be an athlete. Thanks to her strong body she developed through years of exercise, she was able to recover quickly and already stands on her hooves.
She feels some pain in her left shoulder... only to discover that a mysterious blue gem, probably a sapphire or a lapis lazuli, is carved deep into her shoulder. It's impossible to detach from her body. It is stuck on her body and it won't go.
Another strange thing is Sea Breeze noticing six other ponies, laying down unconsciously just like her before. They all have a some sort of gem on their body like her. She decides to go the nearest pony.
"Hey! Wake up!"
Spoiler: Predestine show
A mare with a cheery mane sat a great distance from the group. She had a pair of overalls on with a white T-shirt underneath, and her favourite bandana on her head. She wasn't really confused nor did she panic. . . . Well, it was hard to tell what she was feeling; a frown rested on her face and it looked like its been there for years. The mare didn't know if she should wake the others up or allow them to rest. She woke up around the same time as Sea Breeze, but made an effort to keep quiet; she didn't really know what to say to her. Instead of being helpful, she decided to take a seat near the lake. Now she was staring down at her own reflection. As pretty as the cave was, it did leave the mare with a lot of questions. The two biggest ones being, "How did I end up here?" and, "Why is there a gem on my head?" The mare took a glance around the cave. It was mostly dark, besides a few mushrooms, so there wasn't much to see. She then focused back on her reflection. The crimson gem laid comfortably on her forehead, and appeared like it moved in for good. As she started to rub her gem, she startled herself; she didn't expect it to be actually attached to her. A soft sigh escaped from the mare's frown, she had too many questions that needed answers. She looked over her shoulder at Sea Breeze again. A part of her wanted to call out, but she didn't want to be the first pony anyone woke up to. The mare could only assumed her questions will be answered when the others wake up. For now, she'll sit back and watch the waterfall.
*Scarlet wakes up hearing Sea Breeze's voice and feeling a strange sensation on her throat*
W-what...?
*even before opening her eyes, she raises a hoof to her throat and feels a gem stuck on her white fur. She tries lazily to remove it, but it wouldn't budge*
What?
*finally opening her eyes, she gazes at the cavern around her, admiring the beautiful piace before waking up completely and remember she should be in her library*
What?! :I
*she stands up, wobbles with dizzyness and look frantically around*
"Good morning... at least I think it is morning..." she says to the finally awake pony.
The mare turned her attention to the group of sleeping ponies long enough to watch one of them wake up. She thought the mare looked a bit nerdy, but you can't be too picky with your company when stuck in a cave. Still, she wanted to wait for the others to rise from their slumbers before engaging into any type of conversation; it'll be easier to blend in with the background. The mare turned her attention back to her reflection, but started to ease drop on the two gals conversation. . . One of the mares brought up something interesting, she too wasn't sure if it was morning or night. The farmer gal turned her attention toward the ceiling of the cave. . . . She didn't see any bats, so it must be night time. . . Or this is just a bat-less cave. . . Who knows or cares; the mare didn't. The mare glanced back at the pile of unconscious ponies; only four more needed to wake up. A bored sigh escaped from the mare, she didn't really want to wait on them. . . A part of her wanted to wonder off and find the exit. But the other part knew if she were to get lost, she might never be found. The gal decided it would be best to sit back a bit longer and ease drop on the other woken ponies' conversation.
A stallion lays stooped over against the wall of the cave, and and a brown cowboy hat rests along his forehead and snout, looking as if placed their to shield his eyes from the sun during a nap.
Aegis made a mental note to herself. If she is going to take a nap on her favorite fluffy lion pillow, it will be on her bed, NOT the floor. She silently mumbled as she felt the cold, unforgiving ground across her body. Cold. Why does it have to be cold every time she wakes up? One thing did, however, leave her feeling a bit uneasy. Last she checked, there was no company in her room when she fell asleep. So why did she hear voices somewhere ahead of her. Despite her chilled, sleepy state, she quickly scrambled to her hoofs and wildly rubbed the sleep from her face. While doing so, something else felt off... err, well, the lack of feeling on her forehead anyway. Stopping her frantic rubbing, she brought a hoof to her forehead only to touch a hard, and unfortunately cold object instead. Aegis finally opened her eyes, and it only confirmed her suspicions. She was definitely not in her room anymore. She looked about the cave she found herself suddenly stranded in.
The cave actually was quite pretty, the luminous blue glow was relaxing, and the sound of crashing waterfall in the distance made it far more homey than she would have imagined. Then she saw the sleeping ponies on the ground, and she immediately concerned once more. Where and why they are here wasn't much of a worry, but whether or not they were okay. On further examination, she couldn't she any malicious markings near or on them, so the must have been either carefully transported, or teleported here. The voices came down from ahead her once again, and she ran over too investigate, careful to not disturb the others. She would rather not have to be the one to make a rude awakening. Nearing the voices, she saw that two ponies had awoken, or one was talking to another who had just woken up, and decided to go and see if either of them had any idea what happened.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Hey, are you two alright, and if either of you know just how we got here, please do explain, otherwise I sense that we all might be in some slight danger...[/glow]
A small Earls Green unicorn simply turned over at the sound of somepony's voice, grumbling somewhat as he reached around, apparently looking for a sheet.
Blue turns over and falls off of the rock he was laying on.
"Five more minutes." he said. He remained asleep.

Who-who are your? Where are we?*breathing deeply, trying to not panic* :I
Watching the gushing waterfall got boring after a while so she turned around to examine the other ponies. It appeared that a stallion was leaning up against a wall, another stallion was reaching out for something, and the last stallion was talking to himself. . . She deemed all three stallions boring and weird. As she was about to turn back toward the waterfall, a yellow figure caught her eye. The mare watched the yellow gal converse with the other mares. . . It seems like the females are gathering. Since the silent mare was a female, she decided she should probably join them. Slowly, the mare rose from her front row seat of the waterfall and turned toward the group of mares. Making her way through the cave, she sheepishly approached the group of girls. She really didn't like chat circles, but she also didn't like being out of the info loop. Once she made it to the group she . . . awkwardly stood there. She really didn't have anything to say to the mares, she just wanted to listen to what they had to say. They also seemed just as confused as she probably should be; so she doubt they really had anything worth telling. But it would probably ease their nerves to have a formed a group. To make her self feel less awkward and more friendly, she decided to take a seat on the cave's ground. The mystic mare slowly took a seat on the ground. Once she got comfortable, she lightly patted the ground in front of her; this was her way of telling the other mares to take a seat.
*Scarlet sits down, looking around and studying the other ponies to distract herself: she notices they also got gems stuck somewhere on their body and are as confused as her.
Shaking a red streak was from her eyes, she cleans nervously her glasses with a flap of her purple jacket, gazing at the other sitting mare*
Sea Breeze sits down and, noticing the awkward silence, she decides to speak loudly so that everypony could listen to her.
"Very well, colts and mares. It seems like we have... woken up in this cave, having no memo about what happened before and to make matter worse: we all have these cursed gems stuck on our bodies that, for what reason, cannot be removed yet they do not hurt us. Not to be the one in charge here but we should share our infos to each pony."
Everypony agrees and starts, one by one, to say their name, talent and jobs. A couple of minutes pass and Sea Breeze tries to remember each pony's name and profession. They are...
Sea Breeze herself, an athlete and protein junkie
Scarlet Ink, a writer
Predestine, a fortune teller
Blazing Legend, a cartographer
Grand Illusion, born from a noble family and specialized in illusion magic and tricks
Blue Thunder, a travelling mage
and Greater Aegis, born from a royal family with a talent in defensive magic.
After memorizing each pony's name and talent, she asks.
"So... does anypony know where the hay we are? Anypony?"
(( I wasn't goin' to reveal her name just yet. . . ))
When it was her turn to tell her name. . . She just sat with a blank expression. Why would she tell these strangers her name, or even her occupation? Just cause we woke up in the same cave with mysterious gems, doesn't make us all friends. Nah, instead of saying anything, the mare dug out her tarot cards from her overalls' front pocket. She shuffled through the deck till she found the card she was looking for. She then held up a card with a golden cup flowing with water, much like her cutie mark, and it read " Ace Of Cups". She assumed this would be a good enough fake name for her and it probably gave them a general idea of her type of work. The mare continued to sit in silence; she still didn't think she had anything worth saying to the group and none of them really sparked her interest. No, she just sat their with her neutral expression while everyone else exchanged personal information.
[I didn't mind it before, Laurel, because you had to keep a story going and it didn't seem too terrible at the time, but could you please relax a bit on forcing our characters into doing things? Some of us might have had a neat introduction written up. And, heck, some ponies might even be asocial enough NOT to talk. :s]
Illusion suddenly woke with a start, looking more than a bit annoyed. "Okay, I call shenanigans. I didn't say any... Anythin'..." With a huge yawn, the colt tipped over and landed back on the ground with a thud, already asleep again.
Blue wakes up.
"Was I talking to myself in my sleep again? Well good morning ManeHat- Who are you ponies?" he asked.
Aegis was a bit to off set to sit down and instead took to pacing back and forth in a small arc. Something was definitely wrong here, and she was not just about to let her guard down now. The idea of getting to know each other better, though, was a good start. Aegis, rather hastily, gave out a brief history of herself, and where she came from. She didn't really expect them to understand the Idols in such a short summery, but they were not important right now. She listened intently to what some of the other conscious ponies had to say, but the cherry colored mare really caught her attention. She didn't say anything, but the only information she gave out was in the form of the words on some type of card that simply read "Ace of Cups". Whether she was telling the group her name or something else, she couldn't quite tell, but there was definitely something more to her than what she is letting on. It also seemed like some of the other ponies she saw were finally rousing.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Best join us, we are about to get to that...[/glow]
[I just didn't want to call every OC "this pony", "that pony" or "the pony with the tarots"... even worse I could have used fake nicknames like in 999. So I had to force myself to remember each pony name even if that would have meant doing godmodding.
To be honest, it actually fits Sea Breeze. Her trait is trust and, unlike Laurel Crown, she's more like "Think AFTER you act". She's not dumb but not even reflective XD]
"well..... that was a complete bust....." she mutters to herself.
She looks at the card given by the mysterious pony and scratches her head.
"So... your name is Ace of Cups... Are prepositions even allowed?"
[There were other ways to get their names. Like, say, a little note or a scrap of paper with everyone's names written down.]
Illusion continued to stir, mumbling something about all the noise before, finally, he seemed to wake up. For real, this time.
He took a breath as he looked around, seeing the strange surroundings and unfamiliar ponies. "Oh boy... It's gonna be one of those days, isn't it...?"
The mare looked at Sea Breeze as if she said something ridiculous, which she did. There are no laws on what can or can't be in a name; especially fake names. What a weird group of ponies she got stuck with. . . . But to answer the question about her name, she just nodded. She opened her mouth to say something along the lines of a shorter version of the name, till she heard a noise behind her. The mare slowly turned and saw one of that two stallions have woken up. Finally, maybe they can leave soon. This place was getting boring and she was hungry. The mare motioned for the two stallions to come join the gals. Even though it was a female circle, the mare assumed the other gals wouldn't mind.
"Where the heck am I? I am supposed in Manehatten right now." Blue said. He walked around and he had to let his eyes adjust to the light. He didn't notice the motion made by one of the mares to go join them. He never even noticed them at all.

*seeing Blue wandering, Scarlet stands up and follows him shyily, before patting lightly his shoulder to gain his attention*
Ehm, excuse me? :s
Blue quickly turns around and sees a mare standing there. He tries to put on his friendliest attitude, but he is suspicious of everythin right now.
"Yes?" he asks.
Ehm, sorry, I just... saw you wandering alone and I thought... Since you too have a them stuck on you like all the other ponies and me... *pointing to her throat* Would you like to join us?*pointing to the group* Maybe together we could find out why we're here and what are these gems. :s
"First off I'd like to know where we are. And why I have a ruby encrusted into my forehead." Blue said.
'I would have picked sapphire.' he thought to himself.
I don't think anypony here knows it. :s
The mare watched the two ponies converse with a frown; she thought this was all a waste of time. They should be trying to find an exit than just sit around in a boring cave. The mare turned her attention back to Aegis and Sea Breeze. With a monotone voice she softly stated,
Ace Of Cups: . . . . . . We should leave soon. . . . . . . .
Her voice was deep for a mare but was as smooth as honey. She also had a bored expression on her face. The mare was really curios to see where this cave leads to, and would find out with or without the group.
A soft groan comes from the burhandy stallion now known to be Blazing Legend as he rubs the sleep from his eyes. "Mmhh, when did you guys get here?"
It didn't take long for Illusion to shuffle over at the motion, rubbing at his eyes as he did so. His ears twitched when the mystery mare, Ace as he'd probably have referred to her as, finally spoke, and thankfully he managed to catch the words even in his somewhat drowsy state.
"And, right before that, this would be the part that we all share what little we know, right?" He couldn't help but ask.
"I... I think so... if it is truly the proper moment to do so..." She replies with evident blushing on her face, probably because she did it too early than required.
[Apologize for the meta ovO]
Aegis nodded at what Ace said. The sooner they started to move out, the better.
[glow=yellow,2,300]That would be a good idea. Although, if anyone else has something to share, now would be a good time to do it.[/glow]
The mare couldn't really think of anything worth discussing. All of them are in a boring cave with gems super glued to their bodies. . . What else is there to know? She personally didn't care too much about their personal lives or names. But to stay on everyone's good side, she decided not to state her opinion. So the mare just continued to sit on the ground. . . Which was rather boring. She turned and her gaze toward Aegis' gem. The gem appeared to be on her forehead too, which she thought was strange. This only made her question how the gems were determined to be placed on their bodies, and why did she end up with a dark red gem. She wasn't a gemologist, so she had no clue what hers or Aegis gem could be. Ace did like Aegis gem, and pretty much Aegis appearance; she reminded her of a golden bit. . . . The mare did enough staring at Aegis and turned her focus back to the whole group. She really hope these ponies had something worth talking about.
"Well..." she replies while still embarassed and she starts talking about her. This time she gives less info, only giving out the important ones. "My name is Sea Breeze and... I hail from Cloudsdale."
"My name is Blue Thunder. I come from Ponyville and am a traveling mage." he said.
I'm Scarlet Ink, I own a library in Manehattan.
Aegis cleared her throat.
[glow=yellow,2,300]I'm Aegis and I hail from a family that aligns themselves with a ancient Idol whose specialty is protection, but other than that, I help out around the kingdoms, using my abilities to help with various tasks.[/glow]
She really didn't think now was the time to elaborate further about the Idols.

*Scarlet stares at Aegis, fascinated*
"Grand Illusion, from Canterlot. Traveler, explorer, and magician extraordinaire, at your service." Said Illusion with a quick little bow.
As the introductions were taking place, Ace was turning her head in different directions. It appeared like she was looking for something, and she was. The mare was looking for an exit; she was starting to feel like a trapped animal. She knew the one Aegis entered through, but it must have been a dead end if she came here. As she looked around, she did listen to the other ponies. At least she knew the name of the ponies that will help her through the cave. She wasn't sure if they would still want to stay in a group afterwards. A part of her hoped they would but a bigger part didn't care. The mare remain in silence as she waited for the group to talk more.
While the ponies are talking about themselves, they hear something: a small voice that screams "Aaah!" from behind a large rock that no pony ever paid attention until now.
Sea Breeze and the other six ponies stay on guard. Who could have said that? Somepony who is behind the rock obviously... but since the seven ponies are all together, the one behind the rock could only be another pony. A pony that had never showed itself to the rest of the party... or maybe it's something else. They are all tense now.
*Scarlet look at the rock and, since the screaming worries her, approaches it carefully*
Hey? Is somepony there?
A mischievous smile slowly grew across Ace's face; finally something interesting was going on. She wasn't as quick as Scarlet to go and investigate. Besides, if anything were to go wrong, it would happen to Scarlet and not her. As the smile reached its full potential, Ace's eyes locked onto Scarlet. She really hoped it something or someone interesting. For now, the mare will watch the scene quietly in the background.
*seeing some movements, Scarlet approaches a little more*
It's okay, everything is alright, you can come out... (: Nopony here will hurt you...
Sea Breeze feels insecure. She doesn't know what will come up from behind the rock. Maybe a dangerous creature, a monster, a changeling in disguise... She doesn't know Scarlet Ink but, friend or no friend, she is running a pointless risk so the pegasus rushes towards her and tries to stop her.
"No! Are sure that whoever is behind that rock won't hurt US? We need to be cautious. Be prepared for anything since we don't know why we are here, what is this place and why we have these gems stuck on our bodies like darned leeches!"
It would have already attacked us, had it been dangerous. Don't worry, I won't get too close.
*she resumes talking soothingly to whatever is hiding behind the rock*
Ace gently placed a hoof on Sea Breeze shoulder; her way of comforting the mare. She tried to ease the mare's worries while her smile was still on her face. Ace did this mostly for her own gain; she didn't want Sea Breeze's words to stop Scarlet. She gave the mare a reassuring nod before turning her attention back at Scarlet. The mare's mischievous smile intensify she heard what Scarlet said; she was definitely going to use her curiosity for her own gain in the future.
*Scarlet is now close enough to try to see what's behind the rock, but still far enough to jump away should she need it*
Hey... You okay?*squeezing her eyes to see better*
Sea Breeze stops after Ace puts a hoof on her. While she acted as usual, she doesn't want to anypony nearby get hurt as if it's some kind of responsibility. Scarlet's reassuring voice and Ace's smile were able to hold her protectiveness. Since they look confident, she decides not to intervene.
What Scarlet see is something unexpected... even if she could have imagined it. Behind the rock is a little filly that curled herself trembling in fear with her hooves covering her eyes. What's strange is that doesn't have a Cutie Mark... and instead she has two little horns on her temples. She can be described as "a little demon pony" and despite that she doesn't even look dangerous. More like scared of the seven ponies instead of the other way around.
Hey, little one.
*she crouches down to her level to not seem threatening*
Are you lost? Don't worry, you're safe, we won't hurt you. ^-^
"You won't... hurt me?" She remove a hoof to open one eye to see Scarlet. Her eye has a bright red iris.
Horns aside, she looks pretty much a common earth pony. Her coat was jasmine-colored and her mane/tail was black with some red stripes here and there. About the age she may be 10 years old.
"Of course we won't." Said Illusion, who had appeared rather suddenly near Scarlet. Perhaps too suddenly. With that thought in mind, he preemptively took a step back away from the "demon".
"I mean, who would? I wouldn't, anyway."
How could we hurt a cute little filly like you?*smiling kindly to validate Illusion's words* My name is Scarlet Ink, nice to meet you. What is your name? ^-^
"My name is Sea Breeze. See? Me and her told our names to you because we are trusting you. C'mon... we do not eat you..." The pegasus replies with a cheery smile... yet a bit blunt.
"..." The little horned filly seems still unwilling to tell her name due to the close encounter.
*Scarlet backs up a little, giving her space*
It's okay, you don't have to tell us, take your time.
Blue just stands looking at the filly and all the other ponies around him. He felt like that filly was VERY important.
Ace made an effort to mover her head to be able to view the filly while not moving her body; she didn't want to get up. As soon as she made eye contact with the filly, the mare's eyes opened wide. Her light blue eyes were filled with awe as she stared at the demon filly. Her smile was long gone, but her frown was softer than before. She was interested in the filly; she felt like the filly had a great destiny. . . The mare's eyes slowly closed again, but she continued to look in the direction of the filly. Ace couldn't form the right words to say to the filly. Hopefully the filly will do most of the talking instead; she really was interested in her story. Ace could tell the filly was feeling a bit distance, which she thought was understandable; she didn't want to give her own name out. . . . She wished there was a way for her to make her willing enough to at least tell the group her story. All the mare could think of was to smile at the filly. She gave the filly small, soft smile; that was all she was gonna get from Ace, so hopefully that will work.
"My sisters told me to never speaks to strangers but... you seems like 'good strangers'. My name is Lachesis." she says her name after convinced herself to trust the other ponies
Lachesis... What a beautiful name. x3 And are you sisters near? Do the know where you are, Lachesis?
"Yeah, that is actually pretty neat for a name. But not as grand as Grand Illusion!" The unicorn said, suddenly posing dramatically. "Y'get it...? Grand... As in... with the name... Yeah, I'm sure you got it."
"Yeah... and I'm called Sea Breeze because I'm a Breezie, SEA? she responded to Grand with a pun just as bad as the one the unicorn did. "Anyway, isn't it strange? I never of somepony called Lachesis, do you think?"
"Well... Atropos and Clotho must be at home. I hope they're not too worried about me." she speaks very softly. "Your names are strange too. I never heard of demons called Grand Illusion or Sea Breeze. Now that I think about it... you are not even demons. Are what you exactly?"
Scarlet frowns a little at the word "demons"*
We're ponies.... You're a... demon?*confused* Wait, where exactly are we now?
"I don't know. If you are from Kata-Edafos, you are supposed to have horns like me. Not those weird tattoos you all have on your flanks."
Ace interest peaked when the filly mentioned the foreign land and strange names. It was getting boring watching the conversation from her spot, so she decided to approach the filly. The mare slowly rose from her spot and started to make her way toward the filly. Once she got there, she stood in silence for a bit. The mare was a bit taller than the average mare, which made her feel awkward standing near Scarlet. Ace slowly sat back down so she could be at eye level with the filly. The mare examined the filly for a bit in silence. It wasn't really to get a good look of the filly but to stale for time; she didn't really have anything in mind to add to the conversation. . . . . A trouble looked grew across Ace's face, she never was good at talking to children. . . . After a sigh slipped put, the mare softly said,
Ace Of Cups: They hail from the realm of Equestria. . . . . . I can feel that we are no longer there. . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
These tattoos are weird aren't they?. . . . . . .
They are markings of our destiny What we're born to do. . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . .
Are . . . . . we in Kata-Edafos?
Blue was starting to get interested at this filly. He wondered how she ended up here though.
"Yeah... Kata-Edafos. My world. Since all of you are strangers, I should took you to my home at Peiraieus. Maybe my sisters will help you find the way home"
After hearing what the pony (Ace of Cups) said, she looks with confused eyes
"Markings of your destiny? You mean: those tattoos are the ones that decide your future?" Lachesis gasps. "But that's horrible! Aletheia said that destiny is something that should be decided for ourselves, not for something like those... those things! Have you ever considered choosing your destiny for youselves rather than some stupid odd-looking tattoo?"

Oh, no, no, you got it wrong: these marks only appear when we've chosen and understood our destiny. Look at mine.
*she exhibit the book with red quill on her flank*
I love books and stories and I'm good at writing, so my Cutie Mark showed up representing that. It's not something forced, it's something that I love and makes me happy. ^-^
Ace eye twitch at the filly's response; it made her a bit annoyed. She disregard the filly's comment for the sake of not saying anything rude. Instead she slowly stood back up. The filly mention about bringing the group to someone. Ace was more than ready to leave this dumb cave. She stood in silence as she waited for the filly to guide them out of the cave.
"Wait... Really? So those Cute... Marsh... represents your special ability? It's sounds so cool... I wish I could have one." says the little demon and starts daydreaming about having one of those "Cute Marsh". It would be the best thing ever... and then there's something she must do.
"Oh right! I take you all to my town. When we'll enter to Peiraieus, don't do anything strange or stupid. The fact that you don't have horns is a bad sign already."

'Sweet! A new location! I should mark it on my map an- I don't have my map.' thought Blue.
"Who knows? Maybe us being here will start something to do with the marks? Anyway, I can fix the horn problem easily enough if it's necessary, but it seems we're forgetting to ask one important question."
The unicorn then opened up his vest, revealing the Green Tourmaline gem set there, presumably right over his heart. "What's the story with these? Do you know at all?"
Aegis had been simply quiet, keeping an eye on the situation, but the idea of finally moving out was getting her rearing to go. She wasn't all too surprised, as the little filly kinda reminded her of one of the other clans near her parent's kingdom.
[glow=yellow,2,300]It would be best to start moving now, and ask questions on the way there. I'm sure we will have plenty of time to clear up some of these burning questions we all have while we walk.[/glow]
Blue, who had been quiet for some time, spoke up too.
"I agree with Aegis! We need to start moving. Lest we stay here till nightfall." he said.
"Maybe Aletheia knows something. Oh right, you are not from here: she's our prophet. Not those who claims to see the future. She actually knows every answer for every question."
The party follows Lachesis through the cave until they are out: they were in a seaside cave but the mystery of how they got there still remains...
The sky is not the usual azure color. It is scarlet red as if the sun has already set... indeed the sun was already setting on the horizon hiding behind the red ocean. In the distance the seven ponies see a great port where the biggest ships of this world are there with the crew eating or sleeping somewhere else. Lachesis points it out with pride.
"Welcome to Kata-Edafos and that's Peiraieus, my home. Do you like the color red? The sky and the sea are so gorgeous..."
"Wait! In this world the sky and the sea are RED?!? I will never get used to this!" says Sea Breeze, already feeling home-sick.

I don't know, I find it pretty warm... ^-^
*following Lachesis, Scarlet looks up at the sky*
Ok, it's a little creepy, but fascinating...
"I love the color red!" said Blue. Even though he is Blue.
Ace lagged behind the group as she examined her surroundings. This realm was very. . . . unique. The mare didn't like the red sky and sea; that was usually a bad omen in her book. The ships were impressive, but she wasn't too interested in ships. She didn't deem the place boring just yet; there was a lot more to explore. The mare did tune out the others, since she wasn't going to say anything. She kept all her attention on the path they took away from the cave. Hopefully when she gets some alone time, she can go back and get some of the mushrooms.
Ehm, Lachesis?
*while following the filly, Scarlet decides to find out more about where they're going, at least to know what the should expect*
Usually, how do you demons deal with... not -demons like us?
Illusion's heart-rate actually sped up a bit when he first laid eyes upon the red skies and sea. It was just... creepy. Really creepy. Sure, it was pretty in his own way, but... Well, he just preferred blue.
For now, though, he remained silent. Voicing his opinion on the matter was probably going to make the filly disappointed if not outright offended. He didn't want to chance it.
"The red is so beautiful!" said Blue.
"You are talking as if we demons are bad creatures." looks concerned "There is nothing to worry about as long as you won't cause a mess. Since you are like us, they will see you as weirdos... especially your winged friend and those one-horned ponies." says Lachesis to Scarlet.
As soon as they enter to the town with Lachesis, the demon starts explaining the history of her hometown.
Peiraieus... the Town of Departures...
Known as the greatest port town in all Kata-Edafos and facing towards the biggest ocean of the world, the Arkhipelagos, that's where all the merchant ships sails on the route for the capital Cocytos. Since it's an essential stop-over for the famous Arkhipelagos route, it has grown into a very large town with various ethnic groups around... but for the seven ponies the people look like the same as the little Lachesis. They look like normal ponies but with horns on their temples. The building were incredibly tall, even taller than an Ursa Minor, so that the sunlight, which was already setting, was almost non-existent. Thank the princesses as every building has a built-in lantern so that the roads would always be well-lighted.
Every demon that cross paths with the party look at them with suspicious eyes but without doing anything. They are just surprised to see non-horned ponies with weird gems stuck on her bodies running around Peiraieus like nothing.
Lachesis is right: the demons are more concerned than the party. Maybe they would even think that they are dangerous and could have warned the guards if it wasn't for Lachesis escorting them.
Mh, seems like I was really worrying for nothing... Well, all the better! ^-^
*Relieved of the general lack of clear hostility, Scarlet relaxes and enjoy the view of the city and Lachesis' explanation*
Ace continued to stick in the back with a mischievous smile; she was starting to enjoy herself when the group entered Peiraieus. Seeing all the demons in the town filled her with glee. Each time a demon would look at her, she would just flash them a smile. She wasn't too concern about her safety; she can take care of herself. But she could tell her talent was limited here. The mare made a mental note to get to the bottom of it later. For now, she will try her best to keep out of trouble.
They finally arrive at Lachesis's home. Set in one of those tall buildings and accessible only via a set of stairs on the back.
The party looks at Peiraieus and the sunset on the Arkhipelagos. It almost feels like at Equestria with the real red sky during the twilight...
"They should be preparing the dinner by now. Any suggestions, guys? We don't want to cause... food allergy..."
"Well, as long as you have protein drinks and everything that gives me energy it should be okay. Oh yeah... just to be safe. What do you demons eat usually?"
"Meat."
Sea Breeze turns pale by that concise answer.

Sea Breeze turns pale by that concise answer.
This is embarassing: technically, ponies don't eat meat. X3
"Exclusively?" Illusion had asked, seeing that Sea Breeze wasn't going to. "I mean, sure, you get the occasional oddball, but our variety of ponies... Well... Just look at Breeze."
He was surprisingly chill with everything, it seemed. Either that, or it was just a mask to conceal his panic. And, actually, he was kind of freaking out. Though for different reasons...
Don't start drama don't start drama don't start drama don't start drama
Yeah, that was the overall thought that kept repeating in his head, as he prayed that none of the ponies freaked out about where meat actually comes from. To him, the subject was uncommon to hear but not unheard of; some ponies could just plain get too attached to animals in a wide variety of wrong ways.
"Ehm... You got me wrong... We are not cannibals. You don't know how does it feel to live in a world where all kinds of dangerous animals, from bears to boars to tigers and even giant snakes, tries to hunt us down. That's why there are the "Hunters", living for the sole purpose of hunting them and use them for all kinds of goods. Food, fur, oil... Everything that keep our lives well. I know... It's gross but else can I say? The good old saying "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth"? Those heartless beasts are what they're gonna get for messing with us."
"There's also another saying where that one is concerned. 'An eye for an eye will leave everyone blind.' And on another note, do you happen to know what a chimera is? How about a hydra? Actually, nevermind, it doesn't matter right now."
Illusion shook his head as if to emphasize that point. "The point is, we don't really eat meat, being almost exclusively vegetarian as we are... And while we're on that subject, nopony said a word about cannibals."
"Oh... sorry. Your friend turned pale so I assumed you thought of us demons like cannibals... but we are NOT! Anyway maybe I'll ask to prepare something vegetarian"
As Lachesis opens the doors, they were greeted by a filly similar to the former except the colors of the coat and mane/tail, respectively white and lily.
She acts very calm and composed with her voice lacking any kind of emotion.
"You're home, Lachesis! I was worried for a second that I would have eaten Clotho's dishes. The kitchen is crying for your return."
"Aw shucks! I'm the only one who knows how to cook! Why would Clotho replaces me at the stoves? Mom Ananke will scold us once she'll know."
"Agreed. Since you are finally here, I'm relieved." she looks at the party. "And who are those? Your friends?"
"Yes... sorta... I met them at the grotto outside Peiraieus. C'mon guys, say hello to my sister Atropos."
Hi, Atropos.*waving politely at her* I'm Scarlet Ink. ^-^
"Hello. I'm Blue Thunder." he said. He waved at her.
Ace looked around the area with an impressed grin. She didn't imagine a demon would live here. Instead of being social, she continued to look around the house. A part of her wondered who Mom Ananke was and was starting to brainstorm stuff to say if the group meets her.
While Lachesis is preparing for the vegetarian dinner, they are greeted by Atropos and Clotho with a long table full of plates, forks and glasses. Enough for ten ponies to eat. The house is full of precious stuff, as if to hint that the three sisters are wealthy enough to live well... but they couldn't observe the inside since they were sitting along with the two Lachesis's sisters.
Atropos, as already stated, is a white filly with long wavy lily mane. Not matter the situation, she would always respond in a gentle and calm manner even if she sounds like she has no emotion.
Clotho, on the other hand, is a yellow filly with long messy azure mane. Always impulsive and energetic, she looks like an even more rude version of Sea Breeze.
"Wow! You are not demons? You have horns and one of your friend has wings like the famous Hunter Icarus? That's so cool and awesome... It's coolsome! What's with those weird symbols on your butts? Do they represent your Hidden Talents? I bet they're awesome and fantastic... Awetastic! Are you from the five capitals of Kata-Edafos? Styx, Acheron, Phlegethon, Lethe... or maybe the greatest capital of all: Cocytos?"
"Clotho, chill out. They are NOT from this world. What you're saying is basically gibberish unless someone explains what you are referring to. I bet their "Hidden Talents" are very different from what we are capable of." after scolding her sister, she apologizes to the group. "Sorry for my sister. She's a very lively girl, if not trouble-making."
"Hey! I heard that!"
"So... Since we are waiting for Lachesis and Clotho said a bunch of stuff extraneous to you, feel free to ask everything about our world."
Ace had a frown on her face; she was starting to have counts about this place. In all her years of traveling, she has never been offered free food. . . Ace started to look around as if she was looking for hints of something bad to happen. As she continued her search she softly asked,
Ace Of Cups: . . . . . . . . .
What do you plan on doin' with us? . . . .
'I won't reveal my talent till we come upon a moment were it is needed.' thought Blue. But he also thought that it was strange that 3 "demons" accepted the 6 ponies with such great hospitality.
Atropos raise eyebrows at Ace's question. "Lachesis said she will take you to Delphi in order to clear some questions related to you. You should be grateful to meet her of all demons here. She can be kinda clumsy... but knows how to act as a mature demon. After all, she's the second in the family."
Ace Of Cup: . . . . . . . I ask a genuine question. . . and you assume I'm ungrateful. . . Interestin'. . . .
The mare said as she slowly took a seat on the floor. Her only question was answer and she didn't really feel like standing anymore. Her suspicion of the whole thing was still in her heart, but she didn't want to cause any trouble by vocalizing it.
"Yet I do not exclude that all of you are worried about what's going to happen to you since you are basically strangers in a stranger world. It's understandable since we are like aliens to you..."
"Yeah..." intervene Clotho. "Except YOU are the aliens."
"Clotho..." she silences the youngest of the trio before responding to the ponies. "Since you will be here, in Kata-Edafos, for King Lucifer knows how long... you can ask me anything about us and this world. I won't hold any secrets from you."
"Oh... Uhm... I do have a question" Sea Breeze raises a hoof. "What are Hidden Talents? Are they like Cutie Marks?" she shows hers to Clotho.
"Uhm..." she stares at the pegasus's flank before responding. "We demons do not have Cutie Marks. It appears we have a different concept of Hidden Talent. To put it simply: every demon has its own Talent... but only a selected few can discover it. A demon's Hidden Talent is like a superpower, if you ponies put it that way."
Only a few can discover it? Why?
*Coming from a world where it's a given fact to find your special talent sooner or later, the fact that only a few demons can discover their Hidden Talent is a little unfair to Scarlet, but she wants to undestand*
"Because in theory every demon of Kata-Edafos have their own Talent... but unlocking said power is not an easy task. It's like a Hidden Talent comes only when it feels like. If I discovered mine after years of training, Clotho got hers by pure accident and so does Lachesis... who got it recently."
"And what are your talents?"
"I have the talent of put an end to something or someone's life at my will... Clotho has the talent of creating something, object or creature that is... and Lachesis has the talent of... how can say it? To "accelerate" or "decelerate" life. As triplets, we all share a portion of our mother's Hidden Talent."
Ace rested her head on her hoofs. She was starting to get irrated, but not by the others conversation. She was starting to get hungry for both food and answers. The mare decided to save all her questions for Delphi; she didn't like talking to children.
"Dinner is ready!" Lachesis arrives at the dining table with a huge bowl of salad. The perfect dish for the hosts.
A few minutes had passed as everypony started eating and, at the same time, questioning with the triplets.
"So... is it true that you have the power to accelerate and decelerate life?"
"Yeah! I discovered my own Hidden Talent just when I thought I wouldn't been able to. I feel so proud of myself..."
"Ponies and Demons sound very similar, but different at the same time." Blue said.
"Your sister mentioned something about the five capitals."
"Yes. The biggest cities of this world are known as "The five capitals", even though officially the capital of Kata-Edafos is Cocytus where our King Lucifer, "The Morning Star", lives."

[Sorry to say it but I'll go on vacation and I won't return until 1st January. Keep this RP alive if possible. Some filler scenes will be fine. :c]
Illusion openly cringed at the name of the Demon King, but quickly managed to hide it as he got himself a small plate of salad, awkwardly taking a few bites. Something about that name made him uncomfortable, and not for any reasons that he knew.
So, naturally, he was quick to change the subject and/or escape the conversation. "So, um... I don't mean to be picky, the salad's quite good, but I do have to ask... Do you happen to have any tofu around here? I can cook, myself, I just need the materials for it..."
Predestine happily enjoyed the salad, this was the first decent meal she had in a while. While she was eating, she pulled out her deck of cards from her front pocket. Since her deck is special, she wasn't sure it would work that well in this realm. She'll have to do a test reading later; the dinner table full of strangers is no place for her talent. But she did take the time to examine the cards. She would carefully look at the art work and every often, hold one up to her ear. The mare let out a sigh, if these cards didn't work she would be very upset.
"Sure!" Lachesis replies happily to Illusion then she asks to everyone at the dinner table. "For dessert, I hope you all like my specialty: Mascarpone."
"Then, after dinner, we will all discuss what should we do tomorrow. These ponies demand answers we don't know"
"Yeah... like these annoying gems." says Sea Breeze in response to Atropos
"I see..." Illusion had said, only getting more uncomfortable with the unhelpful lack of information, such as where the tofu happened to be, along with the oven and such.
Something about these demons just rubbed him the wrong way. When somepony's talent, special or hidden, extends to the point of ending someone's life at will, something had gone wrong. Very wrong
There had to be a reason they were called demons, after all.
He forced himself to calm down, taking several deep breaths that he hoped had gone unnoticed.
Calm down, Illusion, you're overreacting. Such things are probably necessary in this world... Which actually isn't a pleasant thought.
Ace Of Cups: . . . . . .What are Mascarpones? . . .
The made softly asked as she took another big bite of her salad. She figured she should at least say something so it doesn't come off as she was being rude. Of course she didn't care about being rude, she is very rude, but she figured she should tone it down in this new world. With the deck of cards still in her hooves, she started to examine The Ace Of Cups. It looked like it could still work, but she wasn't too sure. She held the card up to her ear for a brief moment before returning it to the deck. The mare placed the deck back into her overalls; she'll look more into it when she has some alone time.
'Wonder what Mascarpone is?' Blue thought.
"Mascarpone is Peiraieus's specialty. So soft, so sweet... mixed with chocolate is like living in paradise..." By saying that, Lachesis assumed a weird face... her eyes facing the roof and started drooling.
"Ahahah!" Clotho laughs like a maniac before responding to the pony sitting next on her "She always do that when she talks about it. It is indeed a specialty of this town. She likes it so much she always uses her Hidden Talent so that it would never rot."
[Fun Fact: it's basically cheese made from cream... Think of whipped cream.]
(Oh THAT Mascarpone! I have had that before just didn't pronounce it right.)
[I didn't knew you ate it before. It's very common in Italy since it's one of our traditional specialties.
Since Mascarpone is not from Equestria in this RP, I'll count your previous reply as valid. ^-^]
"And here we are..." says an beaming Lachesis carrying a bowl full of yellow cream with some chocolate on top of it. "Lachesis's specialty: Peiraiean Mascarpone. With my newfound Hidden Talent, it won't go bad even after three months have passed."
[How about making a timeskip here? The next day will be much more interesting. I promise... X3]
(I guess that would work for all of us.)
((Yeah, that's fine :33 ))
[Time-skip then :D]
Sea Breeze wakes up at what it seems to be 7:30. Luckily the time zone is similar to Equestria so she didn't had any kind of problem in waking at her usual hour.
"Woot! What a night! I really thought they would have done something to us and instead they threated us as some kind guests of honor."
She was right. After dinner, the seven ponies slept in a loft where at the least they didn't found spiders, insects or other weird creatures. It was dusty but the triplets didn't have any beds for the guests so they had to arrange with carpets and blankets.
Lachesis said they should wake up earlier in the morning because today is going to be the day of the departure as the little demon said she will take them to Delphi, where Aletheia lives.
*Scarlet wakes up from her place near Ace of Cups, yawning and stretching*
Oh, good morning, Sea. ^-^
Ace glanced over at the two waken mares before pulling blanket over her head. A loud moan came from under the blanket; she was not happy to be up. Her paranoia kept her up most of the night and she was finally being able to get some sleep. A faint voice could be heard from under the blanket,
Ace Of Cups: Why are you two up so early? . . . I can barely consider dis mornin'. . . .
. . . . .
But Good Mornin' . . .
The mare took the blanket Scarlet was using to cover herself even more. Ace tried her best to get comfortable under her blanket grave.
Hey, Ace.
*Scarlet speaks softly to not make her grumpier*
You know we have to go.
Blue wakes up and starts stretching.
"Good morning everyone!" he said.
Ace didn't budge from her blanket cave; she was far too comfortable to get up. Hopefully if she doesn't move long enough they would just let her sleep a bit longer. She doubt that would happen, but she still had hope. Even though she was tired, she couldn't actually fall asleep. Not knowing where she was or if her cards would work put a lot of stress on her mind, and kept her awake. As hard as she tried to push the thoughts out, they just made her worry even more. So the mare continued to keep quiet as she tried to clear her thoughts.
*Scarlet sits silently near Ace, wondering about her: people who kept to themselves often have pretty interesting stories to tell, after all*
"What's so good about it...?" The faint sound of Illusion's voice was heard as his head all but disappeared, vanishing what appeared to be bizarre cocoon he'd created with his blanket. It was like he'd tried to make a sleeping bag out of it and this was the result.
It was too early, at least for somepony who usually slept on no schedule whatsoever. With his strange arrangement, however, it was going to be difficult to coax him out.
"Grrr..." Sea was angry at the sight of all ponies, except Scarlet, preferring the bed rather than going outside. Especially on an important day like this. "Why this generation of ponies is so lazy? I cannot believe I got to be the only pony who wakes early and do some warm-up exercises in order to live the day. Well, you can all go sleeping while I'm ready to go at Delphi by flying."
"You can't do it."
Lachesis enters in the room half-asleep and with some bile drooling from his mouth. "Why not?"
"Harpies. They always live in flocks and they are carnivorous, which means they hunt you down if they see you. Running away on ground can be difficult without some expertise in camouflage, let alone being able to flying away from them."
"Oh... ok." Sea replies embarrassed. "I may as well trotting. I'm the only pegasus here after all."
Ace Of Cups: Trot, fly. . . . whatever gets you to be quiet.
The mare said from under her blanket. She didn't think anyone would be this obnoxious around sleeping ponies. The mare pushed herself to further away from the group in an attempt to distance herself from noise. If she could get ten more minutes of sleep, she would be fine, but she doubt she would. A large frown formed across her face; she really hopes they would leave already.
Blue gets up from his bed and stretches.
"Come on!" says Lachesis who is on an urge to depart. "We should be lucky that Delphi is not too far... something like three days to travel but still... We have to go meet Aletheia if you want to seek answers about why you are here and why all of you have those weird gems on your bodies."
You heard her, guys! We better get up: the sooner we get some answers, the better!
*she gets up, and joins Lachesis and Sea*
Ace didn't move for a few minutes; she was debating if she should get up or not. She did want to know why she has a gem on her forehead, but she also wanted a few more minutes of sleep. Knowing the others wouldn't be quiet helped make up her mind. Slowly Ace crawled out from under her blankets. Her mane was messed up and she looked like she didn't get any sleep. She was only wearing her white long sleeve shirt. The mare made her way over to the side of the room where she left her clothes. Since the group woke up her, she didn't care to waste their time. Ace took her own sweet time putting on her overalls and fixing her mane. She didn't care about her appearance, but she needed her mane out of her face. While she tied her mane back into pigtails, she kept her back to group.
"I think that's it." says Lachesis to everyone thinking that they are finally awaken. "You should be lucky. Zeleuo, the island where we actually live, is the smallest of all and Delphi is not that far from here. The path that lead to Phokis takes three days and the harpies are not even dangerous."
"What? Didn't you said harpies are impossible to push away once they see us?"
"In theory, yes... but, luckily for us, there are Hunters that protect us from the skies. They are demons that has wings as part of their Hidden Talents such as Icarus."
(So there are pegasi in this world) she thought
