Race: Changeling, usually uses his natural abilities to pass as a earth pony.
Occupation: Previously did work as private security.
Home: The Canterlot outskirts, previously lived on a farm quite a bit further from the city.
Appearance: In his natural form he is about a head higher than the average pony, his fangs are somewhat longer than normal and he does not have a horn unlike most changelings. His eyes have slit pupils similar to a cat or a changeling royal and the irises are cobalt blue, a colour his mane and tail share, he is also completely devoid of the holes changelings usually are seen with, his chitin is almost entirely black but with a slight hint of blue in it.
His earth pony disguise is very similar in apperance, the only major differences being the 'removal' of his fangs, his eyes visually appearing identical to a normal pony's and his chitin being 'replaced' with fur, everything else including his colours and height remains the same.
Cutie Mark: A glowing quarterstaff with what appears to be runes inscribed on it.
Talent: Unusually good reaction speed, flexibility and agility.
Hobbies: Acrobatics, listening to music, practicing with his staff, light reading.
Personality: Friendly, likes to make jokes or mix humor into a conversation if only to lighten the spirits a bit, has a bit of a case of 'cold anger' where instead of the usual reaction one might expect he instead adopts a rather cold demeanor. The possibility of being unveiled as a changeling terrifies him as he has not trusted anyone with this knowledge save his adoptive parents and brother.
Abilities: Despite his lack of horn he is still very much capable of normal changeling magic, including disguises and such, as he channels the magic through his entire body instead of only a horn or somesuch his disguise is much more stable than normal. Another odd consequence of his lack of horn is that he is oddly more efficient at absorbing emotions simply floating about, this being completely harmless aside from perhaps giving surroundings a stale mood for a few moments.
The staff he uses was a gift from his brother, it being heavily enchanted with a number of functions locked to his specific magic, making it not much more than several small staff pieces to anyone who is not Chibalt or his brother. The staff itself can be taken apart and put together freely to allow for carrying it more easily, it also has numerous other smaller functions but one of the most major ones is a magical coating that allows it to deflect or even disrupt magic it comes into contact with so long as the coating is powered. It can also be thrown similarly to a boomerang and will return after a few seconds, this can be combined with the staff being able to be pulled into smaller pieces, allowing it to be rebuilt with ease so long as it isn't completely obliteratec and can even allow for the pieces to assemble despite being far outside his physical reach.
Origin: Had been adopted by a pair of farmers from infancy, essentially becoming their second child. Grew up relatively normally aside from being naturally larger than average, this trait carrying over to his disguise as he chose to keep the apperance as close to his true look as he could, eventually he grew rather fond of protecting others for some strange reason, making him dabble a bit in private security, eventually after a little while choosing to instead join the guard to be able to simply do more to help others.
Not my best work, I admit that. But at least it's something. Don't think I did much of a good job at writing up what his staff can and can't do, basically what it can do is be recalled back to him, IE fly back to him. It can also as mentioned disrupt or deflect spells so long as it comes into contact, meaning he has to hit the spells with it for it to work, it can also reconstruct itself even if the pieces are spread around an area.

Woah I made the abilities section like a brick wall, I'll break it up with a few lines when I have time, something I should point out though is that he's not an antagonist, never really liked the idea of a species being viewed as exclusively evil anyways.

Yup, walked a small part of it too, pretty steep, would be rather problematic for anyone to take over one tower and use that as a base for attacking the other towers, uneven steps, slopes and all that makes it a rather clever construction. Anyways could someone just fill me in on what happened since the raid?
Their are the groups; the Guards, the Dragons, and the Bats.
The Guards rested after the Dragons attacked. The Dragons were/are? being attacked by the Bats. The sounds and sights of the fight alerted the Guards who sent a small scouting party to figure out what was going on. The Bats and the Dragons kissed and made up, and know the Guards and the Dragons are doing negotiations after some rather mushy talk about how bad the Dragons have it. Also the Dragons have a Castle Sized fort made out of tree's and foliage. Also I confirmed that it's the size of an entire castle (Small city) and not just the size of a keep.
Thank you, also I was considering bringing in another character I've been thinking up recently, a unicorn whose only magic is creation and full manipulation of strings/wires, and by full I do mean complete manipulation, even down to making each specific one 'sharp' or 'blunt', a major weakness I think would be simply being unable to do much about non-physical spells, also considering having him a traveling entertainer or somesuch.

I kinda wanna join somehow, as most of my current RPs have either stopped or just a slight bit boring at the moment, I just don't know how. I DO have an idea though. Tell me if this shortened version will work. I will use the full version, but I don't wanna waste time right now.
So, basically, Blazing Sun just so happened to be going on a post-training exploration trip, when she notices... Well, you know. She lands a little bit from the attacking army without them noticing. She then unleashes a big amount of energy, causing a beam going straight up, then a huge shockwave, visible as a white energy, with yellow lightning flying everywhere. There was no damage done what so ever, but I'm hoping it will get all (Or at least most) of the attention, from the enemy, and your OCs. If it does get the enemy's attention, they'll recognize her as a threat, then attack. This is where it gets good. She then uses high speed attacks, almost invisible to the naked eye, that knocks them down in one blow, even knocking them a distance.
Apparently that's all I can come up with ATM, as I'm tired. besides, it's 11:30 PM over here!

And the sad part is, the only one time she DIDN'T black out, her anger was caused by one of her favorite games breaking (That game being Burnout Paradise. Backstory much? Also, it really did happen to me as well. :c).

Dark, if you're reading this, we don't really NEED to know every little thing about what the batponies are doing, they likely have enough rememberance of it that they're done planting and all that and are just taking care of the crops properly, we don't need a recounting of every single miniscule thing they do either as no-one's characters are nearby either.

We did a little timeskip so we can probably assume they're done with preparing the crops and the initial caretaking of it.
EDIT: Why'd the RP halt for an entire day? Also Dark, you don't really need to include every little detail of what is done, if they have the resources and the knowledge then pretty much anyone in the RP will just assume they make progress as expected, the exception being unless it's mentioned otherwise, in short you're being redundant, maybe some of the tribe would aspire to be royal guards or have some other objective related to that.

Maple (the character) is surprisingly defensive of Commander Bladerunner's intentions.
Conflicted would probably be a better guess, that and honestly there hasn't been much changeling proving the contrary of the commander's beliefs before likely.

So who's being kidnapped? I know I'll be a more open target when escorting the Kirin foal back to the village, but I would appreciate more information, or a least the beginning of the plot hook rather than theoretical banter.
Book Keeper is a possible target too, since she doesn't have much left in her magical reserves (although I was thinking that it was probably going to be her).
Let's get input from everyone on who they think should be possible targets, then work our way from there.
Vick has been looking for a window, so if he's not the target he should at least be on one of the search teams.
Chibalt could also quite possibly be a target, likely due to being a changeling, though not necessarily. He would be a difficult target though, he's big, strong, quite heavily armored with that chitin of his and his flames can burn spells, not to mention he's in the cells area in the base, not that a surprise attack on Chibalt wouldn't work, it would just actually have to be a surprise.
And yeah, that could be a good entrance for Vick if needed
So...I have a random method for determining who gets kidnapped. From the thread, we have:
1. Match Stick
2. Vick McBread
3. Book Keeper
4. Chibalt
Everyone will roll a d4 (type 1d4 in-between the roll tags); each of the numbers will correspond to the list above. The highest amount of a particular number will end up being the pony kidnapped.
(remember, editing your post will cause your roll to be unreliable)

Just a quick FYI, I decided long ago that Match's actual talent wasn't fire magic like I originally intended, but was in fact a talent for encouraging and empowering others. I use this to explain his unnaturally large supply of mana, due to not only his ability to control it single-hoofedly, but also because he acts as a magical capacitor that other magic users can tap into if they know how. Match is unaware of his true talent due to the fiery circumstances of his earning of his cutie mark (cutie mark story on oc page linked to in my signature), so this is all meta to Match and I am using this only to inform, hoping that his true talent can be found natural instead of somepony else just telling him or holding him by the hoof to learn it. Thanks everyone!

Great, ah and Chibalt should be in medical right about now if anyone's wondering, and Frosty Skies probably won't be able to use his magic too much for this RP so don't worry too much about him. Silver Line I'm not really sure what to go with doing though. Can say this much though, he is old, like, incredibly old, age doesn't affect him, he'll probably mention the reason to Book Keeper actually.
He is not a mage by the way if that's your guess, and now that I think about it I should probably get to posting their characters here too.

Timber, I think you mistook the purpose of the OOC thread.
Where are we going to progress the story to? I have a plan for Match, but it ends quickly and everyone else seems to be doing their own thing. I know there was a plan for a kidnapping. So are we going to start that story arch, or just continue in our disorganizing chaos.
((In fact now that I think about it this has been a really good learning experience because this was my first role play thread . Yeah me :D))

What sort of plot do we want to do though? It could be anything capitalizing on the theme of the RP or a character story arc for somebody.
There could be a crisis, something along the lines of the events of the "Dragonshy" episode in which something threatens to harm Equestria if it's not dealt with.
There could also be a more direct threat to deal with such as a villain or force of enemies, band of brigands or possible outbreak of creatures.
Considering the somewhat poor quality of observation of the guards (there's at least two changelings who are able to roam about without most guards noticing), there could be a more sinister figure skulking about the base and causing trouble.

True, though one of them, Chibalt, at least has the excuse of being extremely well practiced in hiding himself, not to mention his disguise is different from most other changelings, dispels and such doesn't work on it, Zappy...... well, I'm surprised the guards haven't noticed yet, or that they somehow yet remain unaware of Chibalt being a changeling, or there being a changeling on the base at all, I think(hope) the NPC guards on the base aren't useless to the point of panicking due to a rabbit(!?) stampede though, that would seem a bit too silly, they should at least be compotent.
I just assume that the guards aren't on...well, guard because this is their base and they feel more at home and safe here than anywhere else.
We could have a character arc involving the changelings, which could entail a number of things.
Things such as the majority of ponies not trusting them, a feud between those who want to help and welcome the changelings against those who would rather jail them.
Perhaps an event happens, like a smaller changeling incursion attempting to snatch up ponies for their own uses and Zappy and Chibalt are accused as spies.
Ideas we have so far:
1) Threat to Equestria
2) A Big Bad/villain group
3) Something involving the changelings
4) A character arc inolving one or more of the characters in the RP
Take your pick!
I'm going to think on it a while, but I'm leaning towards character arcs right now.
Character arc sounds reasonable, something with the changelings could also work however, pretty much right after he was revealed in the attack on the base he started helping ponies, improvising and generally helping with any injuries he could. That would likely cause a fair amount of confusion and rumors to fly about. Threat to equestria is a little bit finnicky in my opinion, it would have to be either something calling in all guards in the area or be something that only the guards on the base can react in time to.
Villain/villain group could be neat, though I'm not sure how that'd be done myself, either you could have a small group of villains capable of tangling with a guard base or in posession of some kind of ability or item to enable them to disable most of the base, not to mention they could be the plotting kind too, though that could be complicated to make happen when multiple people here seem to do whatever they feel like. In the case of a single villain, well, you could go with the simple one-man/pony army that has enough power to single-handedly take out/over an entire royal guard base if you're thinking of the very obvious, evil-like villains.
Character arc seems best then. The question is who?
I've been planning an arc for my character Match Stick for a while in which he swears his allegiance to the entity that has been helping him throughout his life by tutoring him and the like in his sleep, though I wanted the corruption aspect to take a bit longer than it has for him to fall from grace and become the usurping abomination that is a tainted. I have begun the process though with his recent defeat, so I could turn it into something a little later on. In the mean time however I'd really like to start capitalizing on his mana well ability which allows him to let other unicorns use his mana pool to empower their spells and help equalize Matches own power. This may lead to a sub-plot where the higher-ups try to weaponize Match which leads to his tainting...
(sorry for the word wall, had a lot on my mind to say about the subject.)

No, no you don't. He becomes unredeemable and unforgivable through his actions and/or attempted actions.
(But if you guys would prefer the whole "Orbital Friendship Cannon of Villain Redeeming", then I'm open to discussion)
Also, I don't have the arc rigorously planned out, hoping to instead incorporate it into the current "going-on's" before the reveal and subsequent beginning of another RP thread made solely for that story arc that would eventually loop back into the Royal Guard RP. But if you guys wan't to accelerate everything Match'll need to be placed into a situation where he feels hopeless and friendless. (Like; defeating a powerful NPC using Dark magic, facing a powerful NPC that he can't beat, failing everypony in such a way that he becomes outcast (Probably to do with that Dark Magic I was talking about earlier), or finally failing to control his magic in such a way as to seriously injure one of his friends (Possibly due to an intervention by the entity)).
If you would prefer the slightly more drawn out version that shows his rising levels of corruption, they'll need to be at least one major event that would push Match to his limits.

Secondly, for villain irredeemability, on a scale of Princess Luna to Queen Chrysalis, he's as straight Sombra. (Interpret my scale as you will)

I think the main issue here is that we're worrying about this: What character will you then play? You're basically asking us to blast/banish your character, inadvertedly removing them from the RP in the process.
I would also like something that effects everyone and allows people to "get into the rp"
1: Match is irredeemable of a fundamental level as he has given his body, soul, and mind over two whatever entity that corrupts him, resulting in his tainting.
2. I have two other OC's that would be good candidates for a replacement character on the good guys' side; Blazing Legend feels a sense of responsibility for Match Stick, and would most likely attempt to help and/or stop him, though Blaze wouldn't like having to work with the Royal Guard. Lt. Turnip would be a shoe in for the kind of crazy the Royal Guard would need in their battle against Match Stick, and his fanatic loyalty to the royal sisters would ensure his action.
3. A nation-wide threat would open up a large opportunity for anyone to join in the battle against a powerful attempting usurper/abomination.
Then we kick this entity's butt until he gives it back :]
The entity which only exists on the material plane through it's hosts and a select few magical artifacts that are protected by their bearers along with extremely dark magic that makes Sombra's magic door look like a walk in the park? Yeah, sure. Not to mention that at least the physical transformation is permanent, and where the body goes, the mind is sure to follow.
((Oh, did I forget to mention that Match Stick probably isn't the only tainted ovO))

Also, I should mention that Dark!Book Keeper summoned the equivalent of Yog Sothoth (http://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=11732.2680), so she won't worry over something like that ovO Even Regular!Book Keeper did her share of working with the blackest of magics (http://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=11732.2300).
Well if she's willing (or even unwilling, it'll work with that too) to join the tainted army, I'm sure her "dark side" wont be subjected to hatred or fear. ovO

You might catch Regular!Book Keeper, but it would be unlikely. As for Dark!Book Keeper...no chance of that happening. Her will is too strong for that :P

Okay, I'm just going to wing it until we regain momentum in the RP. Plus, I don't really have many ideas for the rising actions leading to Match's corruption.
I was thinking that it shouldn't happen so suddenly anyways, so it's fine.
I know, that's why I'm having trouble developing a series of significant enough events.
First, why not decide how many significant events contribute to his corruption? That will give you a rough outline to start with.
